Inadequate insulation with poor air sealing and much needed improvement in attic air circulation I had mildew damage on my roof joist and underside of the plywood. I did not know where to turn to for help. With one phone call to Arc insulation within 24hr they sent out there project manager, Jay, to evaluate the work needed to correct my issues. Jay was professional, knowledgeable, and explained every step of the way that was needed to correct my problem. The crew that came to my home was efficient, and confident in the work that needed to be done. ARC remediated the mold, and conditioning the roof joist and underside of the plywood with a fungicide resistant paint. Several last winters began to notice that the house was cooler, and in some rooms more, and in others less. I decided to find out what the problem was with the help of professionals. The Arc insulation staff arrived at the appointed time and inspected the house. Using a thermal imager, they identified the problem of thermal shrinkage. Informed that it is necessary to produce additional insulation. I was frightened because I did not understand how to lay the insulation without destroying the walls. Employees assured me that the disassembly will be done from outside the house and special problems as for such serious work will not bring. I said that I will think about it. Turning to other companies I was offered a complete replacement of the insulation saying so that the term of operation of the insulation has ended. Therefore, I returned to the proposal of Arc insulation. Have concluded the contract and have started to work. All my experiences were superfluous. Everything was done with minimal disassembly. I am very pleased that I got to this company. There were no more colds, but still it seems to me that it became warmer. In the winter we will see. My daughter worked with David to insulate her home. I've needed insulation in my home for quite some time. I reached out to David and although his schedule was full for the week he still found time to come out and take a look at my home within a few days. He did a thorough assessment of my home and attic. David shared all the pictures with me, showed me what needed to be done to correct issues and  answered all my questions. My home inspector said that I needed more insulation in my attic, so I got several quotes from different companies.  Arc Insulation, from the very start, was super impressive.  Their estimator was extremely knowledgeable, and was the only one to actually go all the way up into the attic to inspect it.  He took pictures of what he found, and explained what he recommended and why.  Their pricing was very competitive, and they also offered the instant utility rebates which made the price better than everyone else's.   The installation went perfectly, and they were all done in just one day.  The very next day, I noticed my air conditioner was not running nearly as much.  If I could give Arc 10 stars, I would.  They really are that good! read more

I originally hired a different company to do my attic insulation work, but they ended up going out of business before finishing the job. I called a few different companies to see if they would come and finish it, and only one agreed to take a look at it. Everyone at ARC Insulation is so easy to work with. THey said they have been receiving alot of calls to fix this other company's work, so they understood my frustration. They came out the very next day to look at it, and said it would be no problem to finish putting in the attic vents and putting sprayfoam on the overhang area. 1-15-21 We had been experiencing ice damming problems on the back of the house in recent years. ARC Insulation came out and diagnosed the problem as too much heat was escaping into the attic and improper insulation and venting in the attic. ARC came out and sealed all the openings from the 2nd floor to the attic, added venting chutes and additional insulation. Throughout the process they were clean and very thoughtful of our home. I found the entire ARC team to be courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable. They all responded quickly to questions, they were timely, fast and cleaned up well after themselves. We had Arc Insulation come out to look at our cold floors above our crawl space and basement, as well as around our bay window in the front room. The free estimate was great and the energy auditor was very detailed with his recommendations on how to solve our problems. He even used a thermal camera to show us where the cold was coming in. We felt his knowledge and expertise were head and shoulders above the other companies we had come in to quote. The work went great, and the crew was very professional and courteous. In the winter in our bedroom it was so cold. And this is not the first year. I needed to use an additional heater so that I could sleep without socks. Next winter I want to keep the bedroom warm. I called several companies one by one. The guy who came out was really good and much more knowledgeable than anyone else we met. He took the time to really explain what the problem is, how to fix it. I met Jay Brandt and ARC Insulation about 4 years ago. I have an 1870's built home that doesn't have any wall insulation. I was contemplating adding dense pack cellulose to the walls and also determining what to do in the attic. In 2015, Jay came by and did a blower door test gave me a price quote to do several options that I could choose from. Earlier this week, Jay's installation team installed dense pack cellulose in the wall cavities. The installation crew was very courteous and thorough and as clean as they can be with cellulose. He used an infrared camera on my home to show me all the areas that needed attention to address that issue and others throughout my home. ARC Insulation did a fantastic job insulating our 1950's Cape Cod style house. The upstairs used to get so hot that we couldn't even sleep up there, even when we had the AC unit on all the time. Arc Insulation added insulation above the ceiling on the third floor in our 1906 house. I was worried because we have a lath and plaster ceiling so they needed to cut holes and do a lot of work. I was also skeptical that it would make much of a difference. Well, I'm happy to say, they were able to cut a few holes, put in the insulation, and patch them up. I had minimal insulation in the attic. The walls and ceiling became wet when it was cold. These guys went out and took care of everything. They were fast and professional. We recently did a renovation in the house and were very afraid that Arc Insulation did not mess anything up. But everything was under control. And they kept the house very clean.
