I was seriously in the mood for a Italian beef sandwich, or a hot roast beef sandwich drenched in gravy. I could not make it to Brooklyn. So I thought I would just settle for Arbys. They give you the gravy on the side, so I thought it would be a good replacement. It was not the greatest sandwich. Something about the meat tasted off to me. The gravy was okay, but not that flavorful. On a positive note. The mozzarella sticks were good lol. But I am sure people are coming to Arbys for the sandwiches not the cheese sticks lol.. Im 25, and this was my first time at Arbys. I doubt ill ever be returning.

This was taken at evening rush hour.... Hard to find a parking space.

This was my first - and last - visit to an Arby's. In the "food chain" of nationally known fast food joints (McDonalds, Arby's, Burger King, Wendy's, and Taco Bell), on a scale of 1-5, where McDonalds ranks the lowest at a one, and Taco Bell ranks highest at a 2, Arby's barely beats out Mickey D's for being the worst. The rest fall somewhere above those, but below a 2. I really don't set the bar very high for these fast food joints. The "smoked beef brisket" had so much smoke flavor, I thought it got caught in a forest fire. Between the over smoked flavor and the barbeque sauce that they must source from Costco in 55 gallon drums, to drown the "meat" in (as they euphemistically call it), there was no beef flavor to be had. The word awful comes to mind. The fish sandwich was just as bad as the one I had from Wendy's last week (when will I learn?) with the exception that at least Arby's doesn't ruin what little flavor the fish has by smothering it with pickles. Arby's doesn't offer French fries. Nooooooo.... they serve those god awful spiced curly fries that get annoyingly tangled up in each other. My work is done here.

I ordered 4 items on uber eats, they forgot the mozz sticks. Curly fries were really good.

Everyone that had the Pizza thought it was a very good. Side of french fries was very large. Two kids devoured it by the time I got to take a picture. My mother had this spaghetti and meatballs and liked it a lot. She enjoyed the meatballs himself as they had a lot of flavor and she could see the ingredients inside such as parsley and garlic. My sister enjoyed her angel hair and Alfredo sauce as well as they both enjoyed the soup. Super salad comes with your dinner and as you can see, the soup was very large. My husband had a house salad, and he added blackened shrimp, which came with a good amount of shrimp, avocado, raisins, and almonds. He liked the salad very much. I ordered a special the gnocchi with marinara sauce, and burrata . Overall, the sauce was very good, but I disliked how much sauce was given. For me, I felt like it was too much sauce and my pasta was swimming in it. I would request less sauce the next time I go. Overall, the price was not bad at all. We all enjoy our meal and every single one of us brought food home. Oh, on the sidenote, a good amount of their soups are made vegetarian. This is difficult to find so if you are looking for a vegetarian soup, they told me the escarole and beans, pasta, , pasta fagiol and the lentils were all done.

Antonio's on Route 5 is an Italian restaurant, sub shop and pizzeria that opened in North Haven,…read moreConnecticut in 1986. It was founded by Antonio Occhibove. Originally called "Antonio's Pizzeria" (and then later "Antonio's Sub Shop & Pizzeria"), the establishment has been located at a few different spots on Washington Avenue throughout the years. They have been located at their current address at 528 Washington Avenue for approximately 15 years. The menu consists of a variety of Italian-American staples including chicken entrees, eggplant entrees, seafood entrees, pasta dishes, pizza, soups, salads, appetizers, panini and focaccia sandwiches, subs and wraps. The current owner is Kristjan Lulaj. My family and I recently ordered pizza from Antonio's. We were hosting a birthday party for our younger son and thought that everyone would want pizza. After shopping around, we found that Antonio's had some VERY decent prices. I'm ashamed to admit it, but I've lived in North Haven for my whole life and I never ordered from them. We ordered 4 extra larges: a "Mozzarella", a "Margherita" (fresh homemade mozzarella, tomato sauce, olive oil and fresh basil), a "Chicken Cutlet Bruschetta" (chicken cutlet topped with bruschetta tomatoes & mozzarella cheese), and a "Vodka Pizza" (square pie topped with vodka sauce and mozzarella cheese). When I arrived to pick up the pizzas, the whole restaurant smelled amazing. I saw one of the staff making some stuffed breads in the kitchen. When I got home, the pizzas looked and tasted great. They were a big hit with the party. I can't believe that it took me so long to finally order from Antonios. They make great quality Italian food for very reasonable prices. We'll definitely be back!

I ordered THE sandwich combo with mild spice, mac & cheese, and of course banana pudding for desert. My sandwich was so juicy, tender, and crunchy! It was perfectly topped with just the right amount of coleslaw, pickles and rob sauce. I got the mac & cheese without spice just to try it, and honestly wasn't impressed. While very creamy, the cheese left a funny after taste I didn't like. Now the banana pudding on the other hand, that was amazing! It reminded me of southern style banana pudding with hints of cinnamon. My husband picked up the order for me. It was ready quickly and the servers were very friendly from what he said. It's definitely a take out place, as there is very little seating. I will gladly order from here again because I'm already thinking about that chicken sandwich again!

To me, it tasted like a perfect blend of Chick-fil-A and Popeyes--great texture with excellent crunch, and the chicken was moist and full of flavor. The fries were just okay; the crunchier ones were tasty, but they were mixed with some softer, less crispy pieces. The banana pudding was a nice treat too--definitely good. What really stood out was the exceptional staff. They were super friendly and even gave me some complimentary items since it was my first time trying hot chicken. That's fantastic customer service and great business! The only downsides: The place is very small, so don't plan on sitting down to eat if you're with more than one person (it's mostly takeout vibes). Also, the pricing feels expensive--the sandwich alone is $13.49, and adding the combo (with fries and a drink) bumps it up another $4.75. On the bright side, there are plenty of fries to share with someone else. Overall, I highly recommend it for the chicken and service, especially if you're craving Nashville-style hot chicken locally.

Jamshed worked in the fishing industry as a young man, but dreamed of working in the restaurant business. He came to the United States in 1989 and worked for a vending machine business. He finally entered the food industry in 2000 when he started "Mughali Foods": a food cart that prepared Indian and Pakistani food. In 2003, Jamshed became the owner of Noor Mahal, an Indian restaurant in Orange, but continued to run the food cart. He sold the restaurant three years later to focus exclusively on the food cart operation. He later dubbed it "Ali Baba's Fusion" and shifted the menu to halal Middle Eastern cuisine. At one point, Jamshed even had six Ali Baba food carts operating around New Haven. The Kalids opened a brick & mortar location in Hamden in 2014. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit in 2020, the couple cut down their food cart division to a single cart and put most of the focus on the brick & mortar location which was rebranded as "Ali Baba's Kitchen". The menu was also augmented to focus on healthier food options. A second location opened in North Haven in 2025. My wife and I recently ordered take-out from Ali Baba's North Haven location for New Year's Eve. We had previously sampled food from the Hamden location, as well as their New Haven food cart, but this was our first time getting food from the North Haven location. We were excited to try because it's only a five minute drive from our house. The newer location is nice but it is a bit on the smaller side. I would imagine that most of their business is take-out as opposed to dine-in. I ordered the "Bites Chick Bowl" (lemon chicken & beef gyro served on a base of rice & pita strips, topped w/ lettuce, tomatoes, black olives, chickpeas, cucumbers, feta cheese, drizzled w/ ABK sauce), my wife had the "Running Foodie Bowl" (ginger chicken & chicken kebab on basmati rice & pita strips, topped w/ tomatoes, cucumbers, pickled onions, feta cheese, and ABK sauce), and we also shared some "Samosas" (with tamarind sauce and chana masala). As I've stated in a previous review, we think that the food at Ali Baba's is sensational and we plan to order from them again and again!
