I'm all for supporting local businesses, but I've never experienced someone so openly condescending to paying customers. Instead of a normal, welcoming interaction, the owner was making passive-aggressive, backhanded comments, It felt like we were a massive inconvenience just for being there. If you hate customer service that much, maybe stay in the kitchen or find a different line of work. Good food means nothing if it comes with a side of blatant disrespect. I finally decided to ask him to shut it, but he told me that his wife (the cook) got really hot back in the kitchen so that was why it was open. Well, fix the problem within the kitchen (like maybe a big fan?!), then your customers can thaw out and enjoy their food. That did not sit right with me.
