    Biscuits and gravy

We stopped here to have breakfast with my mom before starting our journey home. It was Memorial Day and one of the few places open in town, so it was quite busy. However, the wait was not too long. It's a pretty small space, but the kitchen and servers seemed to be working hard to prioritize speed. We grabbed a booth once available. Our server was very friendly and attentive. She brought out our coffees and waters quickly. I chose the breakfast combo with 3 eggs (scrambled with cheese), hashbrowns, sausage, and biscuits and gravy. My boyfriend chose three eggs, bacon, toast, grits, and hashbrowns. My mom chose the three pancake meal. Food came out quickly and all was accurate. The portions are large. The biscuits and gravy were decent. I added some pepper to the gravy which helped. The hashbrowns were very bland. The eggs were cooked well and the cheese helped add some flavor. The sausage was just okay. It reminded me of standard frozen sausage patties. I tasted my bf's grits, and we also found those to be pretty bland. My mom liked her pancakes. Overall, I loved the service here. The food is reasonably priced with big portions, but pretty average. However, they seem to draw a crowd so everyone's taste buds are different!

Super cute atmosphere. Excellent, fast, friendly service. Ordered 2 Go. Came with sll the fixin's

Excellent across the board. Ordered to go. Super fast lovely service. Super cute old school vibe.

May 14, 2023. 4 for breakfast - Going to keep this brief. The service was exceptional and the customer base and regulars seemed happy. However, this was not a good experience from my wife's and my perspective. We had around 4 to 5 flies buzzing our table and on the windows behind us through the entire meal. The silverware was not very clean (we swapped out a few sets) The food (an inedible ham - like tanned leather except salty like jerky, the snooty/burnt eggs - some kind of pan/skillet or grille oil or butter or maybe lard gave a strange burnt flavor to the eggs, the 'butter' was almost margarine or some non-dairy item, and etc) were not properly cooked and seem to be very poor quality. Just didn't seem clean or sanitary and I wondered about the food storage and treatment and quality of the products?

We were visiting Harrah's on a Saturday and left around 8:30 in search of food. Good gravy - everything was closed or closing - on a Saturday night! What the heck? Even the fast food! So Waffle King was our only choice basically. However we had a very friendly waitress and tasty food! Must be the Waffle House cousin but dare I say the hash browns were even better? One of my friends said they had the best egg and bacon sandwich, so Waffle King was a hit - or we were starving My chili wasn't as good as the House but the hash browns kicked butt!

You know that feeling when you partied too hard and you just need a hearty meal to feel human again? That is why you go to Royal Waffle King. It will fix a night of mistakes with delicious waffles. The staff was super kind and funny, and the local crowd was unexpectedly popping late on a Friday night. I'd recommend trying it if you're ever craving that drunk or hungover meal, otherwise it will probably be just another waffle to you.

From the moment you arrive, you can tell Mercier Orchards is something special. There is so much packed into this one location that it almost feels like a small village built around apples and everything that comes with them. Inside the main store, the selection is honestly overwhelming in the best way possible -- home goods, gifts, jams, jellies, preserves, baking mixes, sauces, butters, ciders... anything and everything apple-related, plus plenty of other fruit-based goodies. It's the kind of place where you say "I'm just going to browse" and then walk out with bags of stuff you didn't know you needed. Then there's the bakery. Seven lines. All long. And all moving surprisingly well. I eventually stepped out of line after about 15 minutes, but not before getting a solid look at the pastries, pies, breads, and desserts -- everything looked incredible. Even without buying anything that round, the bakery alone is worth the stop. Now let's talk about the apple picking experience -- because this is where the magic really happens. Riding out on a trailer attached to a tractor felt like something straight out of a fall movie. The views, the air, the vibe -- it's peaceful, exciting, and nostalgic all at the same time. The apples change with the season, and the ones we picked were delicious and lasted a long time. No pesticides, just straight calcium. Fresh, crisp, and perfect. And yes... get a bag or three like I did. You're going to want them. The entire place also makes for amazing photo opportunities. Whether it's the orchard, the tractor ride, the store, or the scenery -- this is one of those spots where your camera roll is guaranteed to fill up. The only negative moment of the day happened when I went to grab some cider and one of the guys behind the counter completely ignored me. I actually had to call him out -- like, "Did you not see me standing here?" Not great. But that one interaction couldn't even come close to outweighing everything else this place offers. Bottom line: If you're anywhere in the area -- or even thinking about making a day trip -- you absolutely have to go. It's a little off the beaten path, so I don't expect most people to just "stumble" upon it... but if you plan it, you won't regret it. This is an experience, not just a stop.
