My husband and I actually wanted to go to Texas Roadhouse, but after hearing it would be an hour…read morewait we decided to come back there another time and started looking for other restaurants nearby. We saw Cane's and decided to go there because we had never tried it before. I didn't know they only had chicken fingers so that was kind of a disappointment. But I was hopeful that they would at least have a variety of sauces to choose from like Chick-fil-A because for me it's all about the sauce. When we walked inside I was immediately disappointed because their menu was small and everything was just chicken fingers and no other kind of chicken. They also only had their Cane's sauce and no other sauces like a spicy barbecue sauce which was what I was craving. I don't understand why they couldn't at least have one other kind of sauce besides their Cane's sauce which is a mayonnaise-based sauce and had no flavor in my opinion. We both got the three chicken finger basket with fries. They had a few different sizes of chicken finger baskets and one sandwich with chicken fingers in it. I will say that the chicken was moist and had a flaky breading on it that wasn't too hard or too dry, but it didn't taste like it had a lot of seasoning on it like KFC's chicken. To me, chicken fingers are for children and aren't adult fare. It just wasn't very satisfying. There was nothing special about the fries. They were just your standard crinkle cut fries that you get in the frozen section of the grocery store. They even seemed smaller than the regular size fries you'd normally get in restaurants; almost child-sized. I guess I can see the appeal of this place for parents if they have small children and don't want to spend a lot of money to feed them. The prices are reasonable for what you get. The food isn't horrible but there's nothing special about it either. If I wanted to eat fried chicken I can think of three other places in town with tastier chicken that I'd rather go to than this place. If you have kids they'll probably like it.

This will be a regular stop on our drive to Chicago. Happy to report that the drive thru lane moved pretty quickly and by the time we left 30 min later, that had cleared. As far as food goes, we tried the original with fries and the Nashville hot (as a wrap) with brussels sprouts. We both thought our meals were fantastic. I would put their brussels sprouts up against anyone's! The fries were also battered lightly and resulted in a crunchy fry with a nice light flavor. I like that they have a variety of seating inside and it never felt like you needed to vacate your space quickly. In fact, I noticed some shelving with board games, so they definitely welcome groups who want to enjoy good food and hang out. There is a large picnic table for groups or communal seating and some individual stools near the ordering counter for singles or anyone who just wants to sit and watch the world outside those windows. This was a great find for us!!

The monthly flavored shakes are also a nice treat. And where can one get some of the best Brussels sprouts at a chicken place? They are delish! You can get your sandwiches grilled, fried, in a wrap or in a salad. For me, all great options but the original fried is my go to- large, always perfectly cooked and juicy chicken. The service is as fantastic as the food- always friendly. And- dogs allowed! Outdoor patio seating in addition to indoor and (let me repeat what exceptional service) they find you even when you change your mind and start one place and end in the other. Drive through is a nice option and the only (good) problem for this business that started out as a food truck is that at peak times parking and pulling out can be tricky with the drive through. I've saved one of the best customer- friendly mentions for last- when you pay by card, the highest display for tip is 10%(starting at 3%). I mean- the service is always worth 20+ but I appreciate this range as opposed to so many that start at 15% or higher. Come for the always fresh, awesome food and tip for the excellent and friendly service! Locations growing around the metro- yeah!

The walkup and order counter is a busy but well orchestrated place. Burgers, Dogs, Tenderloins and Gyros are the main items on the menu. They offer some beers and fountain drinks. They also had a kids menu! The staff was fast, friendly and very attentive. I ordered myself a Gyro and a side of Cheese sticks for my better half! Now I want to go back and try some hot dogs! Take cash and save yourself some money since there is a surcharge for using plastic.

But into one and the middle was frozen. Took them to the counter and asked to have the redone. They microwaved them. I know this because then they handed them back to me the cheese melted out of all of them and I specifically asked "were they microwaved???" And they said yes. So I said I don't want them. The lady at the counter said they could remake them I think they just remade the one I had taken a bite of l. Couldn't pick them up. They were too soft and falling apart, and they were stuck to the bottom of the paper boat by all the cheese that had melted out Pretty sure it was still the microwaved ones. If it were busy I would be more understanding of the lazy shortcut. But I was the only person here! The cooks are that lazy? Zero care for quality? You literally need a fork to eat these cheese blobs that can't be picked up and the breading just falls off. The kitchen staff is incredibly disappointing and it's sad that this type of quality is allowed.
