We were promptly greeted by the bartender and given a larger than necessary table--though it did let us spread out a bit so I wasn't too worried about it. We could not see how busy the rest of the restaurant was but we imagined it was fairly steady given the wait. Since we had not seen each other in a while the time passed easily and we didn't mind the wait. Staff was all nice and friendly and ensured that our water glasses were kept full. My Kickin' Bourbon Burger was pretty good, though the tots on the side were a bit underwhelming in terms of portion. Meanwhile my friend's portion of chips was taking over her plate and we were both looking for a bit more moderation in our side items! If you wanted something spicy, this is not the one! That was good for me but may not be what you were looking for. I thought it odd that I wasn't asked for what temperature I wanted my burger and probably would have appreciated it a tad less done than what I received, but overall it was a pretty decent burger. The bourbon sauce was tangy without being too sharp and the pretzel bun was good, if a bit manhandled in appearance.

It is a gem of a place with a fantastically friendly staff, delicious food, and awesome drinks. I was absolutely blown away by the quality of the food and the warmth of the surroundings. Whoever is running that place knows what they are doing and we will be sure to stop in the next time we're in town. And no, I'm not affiliated with them in any way. Just pleasantly surprised that a place like this still exists that can make you feel like a valued guest.

They tasted good, but $9.50 for seven sticks that are on the smaller side is a bit much. The wings, however, were great. Decent size and you get 10 of them for $12. The older kid that didn't want BBQ sauce in his wrap ended up enjoying two of the wings, which has a subtle kick to the sauce. We'd get these again. The pizza had a little too much sauce, but it wasn't hard for my wife to scrape off some of it. For an appetizer I couldn't decide between the wood fired breadsticks or the veal & beef meatballs, so I got both, and went with the bianca pizza for my entree, adding mild Italian sausage to it. The wood fired breadsticks were meh. Unfortunately, I didn't taste any of the herb mix that they were supposed to be brushed with. The meatballs, on the other hand, were flavorful and delicate. If I were to do an appetizer next time I visit I would consider the meatballs and pass on the breadsticks. The bianca pizza was outstanding. The sauce was initially a little runny, so I had to let it firm up a bit before picking up a slice, but it was worth the wait. The crust had fantastic chew and was a stark contrast to the harder breadsticks. This is something I would gladly get again.
