UPDATE- The day I posted this, I finally got a call, so I changed my 1 star to 2 stars. Martin…read morecame out, and fussed about the spa, and then told me, he will need to make a third return call, not this Monday, but NEXT Monday to bring his sump pumps and vacuum etc. So, still not repaired to blow out the lines. I will update again if anything ever gets finished. I bought a lovely swim spa from Spas Unlimited a couple of years ago. We have enjoyed the spa. Noticed a few issues this spring. Reached out to Esmeralda in service. Paid a Couple hundred dollar service fee. Waited over a month for a Technician to visit. He spend about 10 mins with my spa. Enough to remove filters and the top of spa. He stated he needed a compressor to blow the lines, and the spa jets seemed glued on and were not popping off easily. He left. I truly thought he was either going to get a compressor or have lunch. He never returned. I waited another week to call Esmeralda who stated that they were "waiting to see how the owner wanted to proceed with the repair". I haven't heard back in three weeks. The request for service started back in Spring. It is now almost August. Unsure of what I paid $$ for service call. Absolutely nothing was done. I've been more than patient.

Under…read moreTexas law, consumers have the right to cancel certain contracts within three (3) business days and receive a full refund. I exercised this right and notified the business in writing within the legal timeframe. Despite this, Spas Unlimited has refused to issue my refund and continues to withhold my deposit for services that were never rendered. I have given them every opportunity to resolve this matter, yet they have not honored the cancellation or complied with the law. This has been an extremely frustrating experience, and it shows a lack of integrity and accountability in how they conduct business. Customers should be very cautious before signing any contract with Spas Unlimited, as they may not honor cancellations or refunds even when required by law.

Final Edit: I would recommend this company. We had issues, (keep in mind as frustrating as it was I…read moredon't think our issues were normal for this company, we were just unlucky), but they stood by their warranty and made everything right. With construction you want everything to go perfect, but when it doesn't, a company shows you who they truly are when they either address the issues or leave you hanging. This company insisted on addressing our issues until they got it right, even when I was ready to give up. Make sure you reach out to Mikaela in the front office when you feel you're not being heard. She'll make sure you get squared away. Edit: We've had a few issues since our pool was installed; pool sloping, cement work, leaking, clean up, etc. However, based on other reviews these issues don't seem to be typical for them and they are working with us to try and make things right. The Company's front office, Mikaela, has reached out to us and will be working with us to make sure our concerns are addressed. I feel this shows they want to keep the customer happy, so I am bumping up the stars for now. We are scheduled to have someone come out and correct the cement work and sloping in December (we chose the date). I Will do a follow up review after these issues have been addressed. I will also welcome anyone who wants to see their work up close, before making a decision.

Was the wrong color, then it was too slick to walk on and unsafe for our children, they threw sand on it and now it just looks bad and is peeling. After a year of calling, still not fixed as requested. Middle images are what it was supposed to look like, but was too slick to walk on when it was wet. Aqua pools tells us to deal with concrete guy directly, but that hasn't worked. Maybe if they had an in house concrete guy they could have more oversight. Other than that they have been responsive.

All Star Pools - Finished Pool - Lovely!

I highly recommend All Star Pools! I needed to replaster my…read morepool and have heard horror stories of going to the wrong company so I did quite a bit of research before choosing one. One of the most popular companies I found had lots of good reviews but a few really bad doozies that they managed to "hide" on yelp (it looks like you can have some good ones removed along with a bad one to counterbalance). But this had me very concerned because if they didn't care about making things right, what was one to do? I mean a pool is a big investment. So I managed to find All Star Pools who had been with BBB since 2004 with no bad reviews and an A+ 5 star rating: https://www.bbb.org/us/tx/conroe/profile/pool-contractors/all-star-pools-llc-0915-33000364 So this told me that they have been around a long time and that they care about their ratings. And if something went wrong I could take it up with the BBB and the company would make it right because they obviously care about their ratings. So I got a quote from them - they were not the cheapest nor the most expensive. A little above middle of the road on cost. I found that they work with partners on much of the work. One of the companies they work with on the pebbletech to is one of only 2 companies certified by pebbletech and they are the largest in Houston (I believe largest in Texas and I found out they do 10 pools a day!!!). They too were listed on BBB with no complaints and have been around quite some time. So I signed up with All Star Pools and I'm so glad I did. I feel that I picked the best company in all of Houston. I will say that they were not always on time - but I'm glad that Eddie (the owner) explained that he has top notch teams and has to work with their schedule which is not always predictable. That set my expectations. But Eddie was great at keeping me informed and setting my expectations. This guy is really great - I know I had tons of questions and he would patiently answer them all and he worked around my schedule. The day of the draining came and they started around 7:30AM and had my 30K gallon pool drained in a little over and hour. By noon they were done with all the chipping out of the old and prepping for the new. Very professional, picked up after themselves, and honestly quite amazing to watch. Due to the "weeping" around my lights we had to wait until the weeping was done before the replastering (I live in an area that has super high water content and so it is bound to eek out into the pool I found out). Anyway - during this phase he had his electrician out to put in the new LED lights (by the way - GET THE LED LIGHTS - big safety feature and lovely to look at). Again - this guy was top notch and worked quickly, efficiently and professionally. OK so the day of the replastering came. And these guys again were very professional and efficient. They replastered and since I kept my tiling they had to make sure it was spotlessly cleaned and that the plaster joined perfectly to the tiling. They also super super super cleaned the plaster (actually pebbletech) after applying it. After that we had to wait for the pebbletech to cure and then came the "clean up crew". They are much more than a clean up crew - they ensured that the pool was thoroughly, perfectly, pristinely cleaned. They cleaned the entire site thoroughly. They ensured lights were in and tested. These guys are so into top notch detail that they put rags over my hose to refill the pool. It took longer to fill but I found out that the rags help limit some of chemicals in the water from going into the pool (and yes I could see rust colors on the rag - of course it makes me wonder what all is my water - but hey these guys cover EVERY detail). And they explained to me that all these small details make a difference on the pool. Almost 3 days later the pool is filled and I highly recommend going to Eddie for the first chemicals. His pool chemical guy is practically a chemist and knew things that really impressed me to no end! All in all a top notch job!!

We moved to Conroe and wanted a pool in our new home and we contacted All Star Pools and Eddie came out to meet with us and once we met him and he explained from beginning to end and the timing it would take, we were all in. Eddie oversaw the daily project from the initial digging, pouring of cement, electrical, plumbing he was present every day to make certain everything was done to specification, any doubts or changes we had, he was more than happy to hear us out and suggest what would be best. The beautiful different color LED lights really creates a nice peaceful atmosphere at night and we truly enjoy a glass of vino by our pool or jacuzzi. Our grotto waterfall, is absolutely stunning and inspire so much tranquility. We also had a bench put in on the other side of the retaining wall and it is stunning. His team came in and went to work and it was just amazing to see this project come to fruition. We cannot say enough of how happy and more than satisfied we are with All Star Pools and we would not hesitate to recommend Eddie and his team. Every single time I go I find incredibly unique items. They have all of the standard bedding plants, trees, shrubs, roses, etc. What sets this place apart is ALL of the rest. I have found something here literally every time that I have never seen before. Their prices are incredibly reasonable and my plants have always been healthy and happy. If I had a truck I'd be bringing home even more things. You can find 7-15' trees and shrubs for about an incredible value. Their standard bedding plants are $2.49. They do have a large variety of pots, garden accessories, water fountains, etc. For our native plant garden enthusiasts you will find everything you need here, including native milkweed. I have never had a problem with the service. But you do need to go and ask if you have questions or need help. They have always been great to me. If you are used to someone following you around to shop, just understand that won't happen here. I also frequent Warren's, they are lovely, it's simply a different experience. Do: Come early, it's huge and you'll want to take your time. Wear your gardening shoes, the paths are wet and have soil on them. Ask if you have a question or don't see a price sticker. Bring your water and prepare accordingly for outside temps in TX. No, they do not have a restroom. Which is NOT uncommon with our local nurseries. Just plan accordingly and you will be so thrilled you did. The driveways are easy to miss, go very slow on the approach. There are two driveway/entrances and two parking areas. There is ample parking, it just looks a bit daunting at first. This is truly a rare gem. It has everything you could want for all of our hearts desires. If it's rare, hard to find, unique or fun, you're more likely to find it here than anywhere else I've been in HOU or SA. Do yourself a favor and drop by.
