The estimator said they'd fix the code violation at no extra charge; the installer disagreed, and referred to the estimator as an "idiot" in my presence. Although a subsequent call between the two cleared the issue up (the original bid and repair was honored), I viewed the installer's comment as un-professional, and for just a minute, the comment had me wondering if I'd chosen my provider wisely or not. But, all's well that ends well, and I can happily say we're back in hot water.

A while later, we had him install some outdoor spigots for irrigation for our garden that required punching into our drywall in the basement. They made sure the new lines had accessible shut off valves and even set it up in a way that made it easy to tuck away behind a cabinet door when the drywall was put back up. And they even found and fixed a bathroom exhaust fan venting when they were in there. Nice and clean! Also, they managed to install the spigots quickly and left the rooms just as clean as they were before work began once done. We've been using these for the a season and a half of gardening now, and they're working great. Lastly, we were having some trouble with a valve and they came over and fixed it in a minute (probably should have been able to figure out that one myself...) at no charge.
