The water suddenly stopped running in my house - well, not exactly, it would run for a few seconds and then stop. I asked my neighbors and their water was all running fine. Portland Water Bureau said it wasn't their problem. So I called Sutherland Plumbing randomly, and we did some trouble shooting over the phone. It looked like it may be a VERY expensive issue in the pipe between the house and the street. Ti Sutherland found a time to come by, since this was kind of an emergency since we couldn't shower, and he found the problem in just a couple of minutes. Turned out it was only the HOT water that was being stopped, and it was a janky flood prevention device that had been installed with the water heater. The batteries died and it shut off the flow. Replaced the batteries, and boom! We're all fixed. Ti actually got a big kick out of the whole process. Solving problems is his bag. Highly recommend.

Id had the same issue with the master toilet and the plumber I had hired originally had said it would take 2 hours to replace and they charged $300/hr - so it would be cheaper to just buy a whole new toilet and have it installed... so thats what I did. He came out today and within about 30 min he had the entire thing replaced, it looked beautiful AND flushed perfectly!! At no fault really of theirs, someone called with the same first name to cancel in haste and well, they thought it was me and so couple of hours of my life I won't get back. The owner called me and promised it'll never happen again and that they'll change their protocol and asked what can they try and do to make it right. I appreciate the customer oriented reach out. We got a quote a week later and I went with them. They came highly recommended by my very strict HOA as they've done numerous water heater replacements here. And in this condo neighborhood, the water heaters are in closets, with a requirement for direct vent models and obviously limited space to work. Not to mention ground slope variations that may require a pan or not. They had a lot of history here and clearly know what they are doing. They even installed a leak sensor unit on mine so any leaks and water is shut off. Very nice. All in all a job well done for this very complex install. They were kind enough to even maintain and even upgrade a water spout so I can water my pots with a garden hose. Take a look at the photos and decide for yourself. They are worth getting an estimate. Overall I would say they are very price competitive, but you get what you pay for so it may or may not be a bit more for the quality of work I feel you'll be getting. Special thanks to Ronny and Treven for working in 38F degree weather all morning to get this done. Buying them coffee was the least I could do.

They do fixed pricing and their cost to replace/repair was lower than another company who provided an estimate just from photos. I would use them again for sure!
