I called Sutherland to get an estimate for replacing my water heater after my neighbor's unit…read morestarted leaking. Since all of our homes were built around the same time, I assumed my water heater was also 17 years old and might need replacement soon. After I sent photos of my water heater and the model details, Ti took the time to look up the serial/model number on the Bradford White website and discovered that my unit was actually only 11 years old, not 17 as I had thought. He texted me back and asked for clearer photos to confirm the manufacturing date. I called him right away, and even though I currently have no issues with my water heater, he generously spent time explaining everything in detail. He told me that Bradford White is a very reliable water heater and that this model generally does not require routine tank draining for maintenance. He also gave me valuable advice for the future, recommending that when I eventually replace the unit, I should install it on a metal drain pan with moisture detection for leak protection. I was genuinely impressed by his honesty, knowledge, and willingness to help without trying to sell me something I don't need right now. He could have easily pushed for a replacement, but instead he gave me thoughtful, professional advice and saved me unnecessary expense. I truly appreciate the time he spent helping me over the phone, and I would absolutely recommend Sutherland to anyone looking for an honest and knowledgeable professional.

He also listened to my warranty situation with my particular unit and price break down if I were to go with another plumber qualified for the warranty service. I appreciated that he was upfront with me about everything and never tried to push me into replacing it through his company. He was very honest about what their price would be compared to going through my warranty and what if he would do if he were in my situation. I am extremely grateful for the honest work that this company does.

This company is going to break your bank. I hired them in August 2025 for air conditioner service…read more The technician said my unit was leaking Freon and too dirty to clean. He said ge would not service it because it will only make it a couple of weeks. They charged me $89 anyways. I called and got a refund since they refused to service it. Nice that they refunded money for service they never performed. They gave me an estimate of over 10k to replace it. I called clean air act. They serviced it up and said it's still has a lot of life left. Now 2026 Chris is texting me wanting to service it on a special of $49. Why? So they can refuse to service it again? They only want to replace units not service them. Here is a picture how they left it last summer. Refused to clean it too. It is still running strong.

To begin, I used Precision Water Heater on two (2) separate occasions. The first time I contacted…read morethem because my hot water was not working. They arrived on time, assessed the situation, then provided a solution which resulted in replacing the tank. The quote I received was reasonable so I agreed to the terms and conditions to move forward with the services. The tech cleaned and removed all trash and materials after installing the new heater. A couple months later I had a service issue which resulted in a warranty item needing to be replaced. Precision came out right away and performed the required services. I'm truly grateful for these guys and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for quality service from their professional staff. Thank you Precision!

The water heater went out in our Portland, OR house, which is a big problem for the tenants living…read morethere. The house has a Direct Vent type of water heater, and those units are hard to find. After getting an extremely high estimate from a major national firm, with restrictive install dates (this kind of thing can't wait), I called Precision Water Heater and immediately connected with Paul. He provided a complete quote, on the spot by just looking at pictures, and located the right unit and installed it the very next morning. All work was completed within his originally quoted budget (a much better price than the others). In addition, he sealed the exterior wall outlet hole with special sealant that he purchased, and didn't charge me. I couldn't ask for a better experience or better contractor. I will use Precision for my future needs, and highly recommend them. bruce (california)

Their estimate for the work done was far more reasonable than the other plumber who came by. Kaleo made sure to take care of both the initial blockage we called about AND some other problems waiting to happen with our kitchen sink (that he addressed and repaired as part of his work under the initial estimate). In short, if you want a master plumber at your disposal, true value and a great experience, All Pro is the way to go!

I've hired Alchemy Plumbing a few times at my home in Lake Oswego for plumbing repairs. 2 years…read moreago, I hired them to install a new kitchen sink, kitchen faucet, instant hot water tap and garbage disposal. All seemed fine until we realized there's been a slow leak from two connections off the garbage disposal, which has created some water damage and mold. No big deal, right? Easy fix! Today I called to see if this was considered a warranty repair. It's been more than a year, they say, so they'd need to charge me $85 to come and diagnose the issue. Well, ok....but that new work would be warrantied a year, right? 'The technician would need to tell me that.' she said. I asked to be transfered to someone who might be able to tell me if they'd warranty this new work. I was transferred to Kenzie in dispatch. Kenzie then told me, because I've complained in the past about this $85 diagnostic fee (which is true....once, when they refused to call the charge a trip fee and told me they needed to 'diagnose' a leaking exterior hose bib. I told them then I knew the issue, it was just a crushed gasket, and it didn't need to be diagnosed further. I said then that they could charge me $85 for a trip fee, but if they were going to attempt to diagnose something that I can clearly already diagnose, I'd skip their diagnosis and they can work from mine. They refused service. So for that repair I ended up using a different plumber without a 'diagnostic fee' who charged me $45 for the trip fee and $1.10 for the new gasket). Kenzie then said because I've complained in the past about a diagnostic fee, 'they'd need to separate from me, professionally.' And hung up on me. Plenty of options for a decent plumber in this town, I'd suggest you look elsewhere. Thanks for nothing, Alchemy!
