Oh buoy, this beachy eatery has a preppy, party vibe. Typical loud waterfront restaurant with mostly seafood entrées. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was a rank stench. But as we waited a considerable amount of time for our table, it seemed to dissipate, or maybe we just got used to it. (I'm guessing the restrooms were in need of attention). Because we were getting crabby, we asked the hostess to seat us in the bar, rather than wait for a table further in the restaurant. I'm sure the views are al"lure"ing during the day... waterfront venues are so krill. The bar was busy, four TVs, heavy bass music, noisy echoey chatter in the background with barflies hanging out in this nautical themed spot. It started to give me a haddock. There's another crowded bar outside in the patio area that was just as unapp"eel"ing. Once we perched ourselves at a high top, things started looking up! The tables were cool, shells and sand under a polyurethane base. Without floundering, we made our entrée choices and our grub came out super fast. We got fish tacos, clam chowder, lobster roll, seafood bisque and for the land lubbers, chicken tenders and fries. The chicken tenders were lightly breaded and fried using large pieces of juicy chicken. Delish. Our server was accommodating and brought us our food with a"gill"ity. We had all the cod-iments: ketchup, bbq sauce, ranch, honey mustard, tartar... so many sauces! We didn't spend a lot of clams, but I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to go back. But if I were in the area, I might try it again just for the halibut. If you can think of any more fish puns, let minnow. read more

Burger cooked as requested. $48.00 for two without tip/tax. Recommend. I haven't been since they opened for the 2024 season. The restaurant feels "refereshed" with apparently fresh paint, flooring. After hitting the outlets, we were looking for a place to eat. There was an ad for a restaurant at the outlets, but when we travelled to it, it looked like a shack. We wanted a more sit down experience. Luckily, we found Aqua. First of all, the staff was really young--mostly teenagers, including the hostesses. Normally, with a staff this young, you don't get really good service. Not here. Everyone was dialed in and responsive and the service was great. The vibe is a beach mart mixed with a higher end seafood restaurant. The menu has items for all budgets, but does not overwhelm you with too many choices. The food was good with good portions for the money. We had a great experience here and would love to come back! read more

Excellent lobster rolls-- the lobster is very fresh and sweet, the grilled toasty bread a nice complement to the buttery hot lobster. Gorgeous view in the breezy dining room. Also, the homemade ice cream is awesome, especially the strawberry and toasted coconut flavor. Second night (yes, we dined there again the next day-- we liked it so much, and the other seafood restaurants we found on Yelp seem to be too cafeteria-like): The lobster raviolis had big chunks of lobster inside the raviolis and in the creamy sauce. This was awesome! Also tried the mussels in a spicy tomato sauce flavored with chorizo and beans. Very delicious and spicy. The lobster roll was awesome the second night as well, served with onion rings for $2 extra. Ahi tuna with sesame: so fresh and tasty, with mashed potatoes and green beans. The only thing I would change is the asian sesame sauce needed more lemon or vinegar. But the tuna was very fresh! read more

So great to have Aqua open again! We had a great dinner in a clean and safe environment. For those that are concerned the staff are gloved and masked up better than most ER doctors. The Paloma is a refreshing take on a margarita and they are served fast! Dinner menu selections are smaller than before and who can blame them. The Garlic Lemon Chicken was outstanding and Fish & Chips and Lobster Rolls were terrific as always. Aqua is making the best of the situation, don't forget to tip your servers well! read more

I had a nice lunch at Rocky's a couple days ago with some friends. We were looking for a place to eat after a shopping trip, and Rocky's was the perfect choice - the ability to eat on the water, a variety of menu items, and reasonable prices. Our party of six was able to be seated right away, and the service was swift. I ordered the fish tacos with fries and I really enjoyed my tacos. The fries were okay, but they weren't the main focus of the meal. My other friends enjoyed the Cobb salad, the Baja fish wrap, and the chicken sandwich. One of our favorite go-to's in town for the summer season. Decent food and you can't beat the view, literally right on the water at the marina. The fish tacos are good, so is the chowder. Full bar in the covered porch is a great place to sit for a drink and meet friends. Take-out ice cream counter, good for the kids in the summer and can walk around the area while you eat ice cream. My only complaint is I wish it stayed open longer... Would probably do very well indoors during the off-season!! read more

I stumbled upon this little gem while I was in Madison at a local B&B for a few days. it was so awesome I returned the next night! love the views of the marina and the fresh air! I had the mussle and the seafood chowder both of which were outstanding! I had the watermelon refresher to drink which was pretty good as well. the next night I went back for the lobster roll which was one of the best I've ever had. fresh lobster meat overflowing from the roll. the rum drink was also good. I've been back I think 3 or 4 times since then after a day at the beach. the sangria is to die for, the fried shrimp, scallops and linguine with clam sauce we ordered were all great. The servers are the best around and so is the atmosphere. I can't wait to return! I don't want Rockys to close for the season. my new favorite place to go for fresh seafood and outstanding service! read more

Fantastic experience at Rocky's Aqua in Clinton over the weekend. Decided to take a drive along the shoreline to have dinner and stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant. Great location with plenty of parking at the Clinton Town Marina. The restaurant was casual and nautical and the staff was outstanding. The hostess was nice and seated us immediately during a busy time. Our waitress Kayla was sweet and personable and our food was ready so fast! It was great to sit in a shoreline restaurant again and feel the ocean breeze during dinner. The NE Clam Chowder was outstanding and the Shrimp Tacos were amazing with perfect portion sizes! Fantastic food and service. It may have been our first trip to Rocky's Aqua, but it certainly won't be our last. Highly recommend! read more

My friends and I were looking for a nice place to eat on the water, because of the beautiful weather. With a quick google search we found Rocky's Aqua, and thank god we did! The atmosphere was amazing, the service was perfect and the food was absolutely delicious. We started with some beer and cocktails, that all tasted great. We also tried the bisque and pretzel rods which we would definitely get again. All of our entrees were cooked to perfection and came out quickly for how packed it was on a Saturday night! Bad weather on a Sunday means no boating. Tears! We decided to make a trip to the outlets and needed to stop for lunch first. I found Rocky's Aqua on Yelp and hoped it wouldn't be packed due to its location. The weather was beautiful and then thunderstorms all day back and forth. We arrived for lunch around 12:39 and were seated immediately on the outdoor/indoor deck. There is a roof, but no windows. Perfect in case it decided to storm again. I ordered the lobster roll with fries. It was a little over priced for the size and dry. A little melted butter on the side would have been nice. Fries were good. My kids ordered off of the kids menu, chicken tenders (good) and Mac and cheese (pretty bad). When are restaurants going to realize that they shouldn't try to make fancy Mac and cheese for a kids menu? My husband had a burger which he said was good. The service was great. The waitress however brought my kids regular size drinks instead of the $1 kid's sizes that are on the kid's menus. I pointed out the price and she said they didn't get that one. I then pointed out that my son had a tiny sip of his drink, so obviously the kid's size is what we wanted. She did take that drink off the bill. I'm going back and forth between a 3 star and 4 star review. I'll go with 4, because of the beautiful view of the marina and would return just for that next time we are in the area. read more

First trip to Rocky's Aqua of th e season. Ginger pear martini is excellent. Worth the 45 mile ride. The seafood bisque was creamy and Hardy. Lick the bowl good. The seafood combo was nicely done and scallops melt in your mouth. They know how to not overcook the vegetables! You have to try the Flour less chocolate cake to finish. The location in the marina is fun. The marina location is fun, they have some interior water view tables and some outdoor tables on the dock. Great place for happy hour and hors d'oeuvres. Our dinners were just ok- Filet sandwich and Baja Taco. If you live along the shoreline and looking for dinner there are far better places. If you are visiting you want a great dinner/ look elsewhere. read more

My wife had lunch here with two of our daughters a month ago and liked it. Yesterday, after getting back to the marina after a day on the water, we decided to walk down and have dinner. The vibe is shoreline, local bar and restaurant. Menu is fairly simple. We decided to try two of the house cocktails, I tried the a pear Vodka drink and my wife had the watermelon refresher. Neither drink was all that impressive. I think our server, who also made the drinks( odd system) forgot part of mine. Although strong, it wasn't what I was expecting. We started dinner with the fried calamari. The best part was the amount of fried cherry peppers. The rings themselves were of the larger variety and tended to be more chewy. The marinara got its kick from a generous topping of crushed red pepper. The aioli was nice. What was missing were some tentacles. Dinner for me was the chicken tacos. The biggest downside was the dried out chicken on them. It had been sliced super thin so a trip on the flat top really dried it out. My wife had the fried oyster salad which she enjoyed. All in all not a terrible meal, a great location and decent prices but could have been much better. read more
