Once again, Aqua AC Clean is hands down the best at cleaning your split air conditioning units. I retained them once before to clean my 3 units and they were by far the best in terms of quality and professionalism and price. When it was time to clean my units again, I did not hesitate to call them. They responded quickly with a quote and later, arrived promptly to begin working on my units. They use a unique system which involves pressure washing the unit without removing the condenser or blow wheel. As a result, I could see all of the silt, mold and mildew washing down the drain leaving a clean and fresh smelling unit. Kaji is extremely meticulous and spent significant time washing and drying each of the units and he and his wife are so nice and easy to work with. Like having 2 friends over. After the job was completed they cleaned up and vacuumed the areas and even replaced my furniture. You cannot do better than this. It's been about 10 years since my mom's two split air ac systems have been cleaned so I decided to check out various ac cleaning companies for her. I saw the one advertised on tv and checked out the various companies on yelp. After looking at numerous reviews and websites, I decided to call Aqua AC Clean based on their Japan based cleaning and sanitizing process and excellent reviews. After requesting the free estimate, Kaji, the owner, responded within a few hours and we set up a time the next working day to take a look. He was right on time, explained the process and gave me a very reasonable estimate. He explained that it would be just he and his wife that would do the work and would take approximately 3 hours for both ac systems. We set up the cleaning appointment for the next day and again he and his wife were right on time. Due to covid, we all were masked up and safely interacted at all times. Promptly, Kaji and his wife got started. After disconnecting the screens and cover, Kaji meticulously set up waterproof plastic sheeting around the ac and funneled it to a bucket on the tarp covered floor. He then carefully cleaned the inside of the ac with cleaning solution and brushes. Then he used a small power sprayer to finish up the cleaning and and to do the final rinsing. He also used a small blow dryer to get most of the water out. In the mean time, outside, his wife carefully cleaned the various screens and covers to make them look almost brand new. The dirty water collected in the bucket was black with mold and dirt. Pretty gross that I was breathing that stuff for years. Once done, Kaji and his wife thoroughly wiped everything dry, turned on the ac for a quick check and final dry. Then they proceeded to do the second unit just as well as the first. After the inside units were done, they then cleaned the outside condensers just as thoroughly. After everything was completed, Kaji and wife, vacuumed and cleaned everything up, carefully placed back the moved furniture and took all the trash and dirty water with them. After 3 hours everything was back to normal except with two spotless AC units. I highly recommend Kaji and Aqua AC Clean for your ac cleaning. He is very thorough and prompt, treats his customer's house like his own and does and outstanding high quality job for a very reasonable price. I'd give them a 10 star review were it possible. I received a quote from Kaji within 2 hours (on a weekend evening mind you) for our 6 split units. After searching/reviewing 4 additional competitors I appreciated their cleaning method perfected in Japan since the early 1990's. Made sense to me. And they delivered. Had an appointment within a week - February, getting ahead of the spring/summer rush. The team was on time and finished before 5 PM. My wife and I were completely impressed with the thoroughness and orchestration of the process. No wasted movements, and the stuff that came out of the units....ugh! New home, probably been a while since the units were cleaned. We are definitely happy on our selection of Aqua AC Clean. No hard sales for unnecessary revisits - they asked how we used our AC's and gave us a reasoned and acceptable estimate of when we should have them back. And we will! read more

I can't say we are experts, but we have some experience in hiring professionals to clean our split AC systems. We have total of 16 indoor units that require regular cleaning. We had some good experience, and some so-so experience. After seeing Mr. Kaji's work, I had to downgrade my past experience as so-so, and poor experience. First he doesn't have a dedicated employee to answer calls. Somehow he managed to answer my inquiry promptly, often within a couple to a few hours. Setting up an appointment was very easy. Due to the sheer number of our units, he had to break them up to 3 different dates to complete, because he spends around 1 hour per unit! During that 1 hour, he was non-stop setting up, cleaning, with his brush, cleaner pressure spray, etc. Due to an access issue, he even came in on a Sunday to finish off. As one can see on some of the reviewers' pictures, he is very meticulous about the cleanliness of the work space. He draped the unit, and the floor. He moved away and put back the furniture after finish. It is a thorough job. He cleaned the filter, the blower, drain pan, cover. (I don't think he realized I was observing sometimes. We have some indoor security cameras. Sorry, Mr. Kaji) I am quite happy with the result. I'd like to think his methods, with brush and pressure spray, appear to clean more deeply than the foam, brush/vacuum methods. Also some cleaners take apart(remove the blower) for a deep cleaning, which does a good job, but it adds to the time and the cost, and I worry about doing so repetitively, something might break. We had some units that are rarely used, but there was quite a bit of mold surprisingly. I would not skip the cleaning just because the units are seldom used. He is a humble man and is easy to talk to. He has always been early, and on time. He offers a very reasonable pricing. I almost feel I couldn't pay someone enough to do such a thorough job. I strongly recommend him to anyone who needs split AC serviced. read more

We needed our Split AC Units cleaned, but come to find out, not all companies clean them the same way. We called several companies who said they only wiped down the the interior parts after applying foam spray to disinfect and remove mold. Aqua AC Clean advised us that they clean the units using pressure washing with Pro Grade Bio Safe solvents. Their next appointment was in a week and we took it. Kaji and his wife showed up on time and thoroughly cleaned each unit and compressors. Kaji and his wife were professional, personable, and detailed. No mess, no leaks and our units smell great. Kaji was very responsive when I called about scheduling a cleaning for my two mini split systems. On the day of, he showed up ahead of the appointment time and quickly went to work. They took precautionary measures and placed plastic to protect all surrounding furniture. Kaji showed me the dirty water collected from one of the units, and I couldn't believe how dirty it was after less than a year of having our units. I called up and they were able to give me a price right over the phone. They came the next day and cleaned all 6 of the air handlers in my house. They spent all day here and did an excellent job. I was one of Aqua AC Clean's first clients and will certainly use them again. We have three air conditioner at home, and all were very dirty. We heard that conventional ac cleaning is not capable to get rid of mold hiding well within the air conditioning units. Only by power washing the units, the mold can be eradicated completely. Hence I contacted HydroKleen who then were the only company on Oahu using the superior power washing technology. They quoted me a minimum of $1500 per unit! Then a friend made me aware of a new company formed in Hawaii Kai who is also doing power washing. They came, and after approximately five or six hours they had all three units done. They left the place as clean as it was before, and the air conditioners were as clean as they were when they were new. They charge the same amount as conventional cleaners but they clean much better. They even gave me a discount since I had three units to clean. I ended up paying a little over $500, and now I am able to again breath fresh air. I will definitely use them again.
