Rushed and shady practice. I went there for a basic pedicure and then decided to do the spa pedicure which was $45.00 . The treatment was ok but she was little rough and it was rushed. One thing that really annoys me is that they have a habit of asking you before you even get out of the chair how you're going to pay for it and then wait to receive your credit card while you are still in the chair. Its very pushy and then they run to the front with your card to cash out. This happened once before and I forgot about it. Well, the bill was $48 and not $45 because they charged me extra $3.00 to buff my nails. They are ripping people off by the add-ons, and shady practices . I never get polish or clear coat. I just wanted a guys basic pedicure. I have never been charged at any salon for buffing of the nails. I won't return there again. read more

I was visiting from out of town and needed my nails done. I had a gel French Manicure. I thought the cost was $43.00 and was charged $46.00. I thought maybe the price went up. Turns out they charged for removing the old polish which took 2 minutes. They claim that customers have to pay for the technician's extra time. At home my gel French Manicure costs $40.00 all inclusive. I never heard of such a thing. They are ripping people off. I believe they are running a shady business. I used to love going to AQ. The staff were nice, patient, and accommodating. However the last couple of times have not been a great experience. I went yesterday to get a pedicure and a dip manicure. While getting the pedicure there was a terrible stench. There must be some sort of issue with their water because it was nauseating. After my pedicure, I sat for my manicure and the tech had no interest in doing my nails. She rushed through and skipped many of the steps that past technicians always do (like a base clear coat and washing my hands). She did not want to be there anymore and it was obvious. My husband also got a pedicure that was very much rushed. When we left we both said we won't be going back there any time soon. Unfortunately, there are so many other places and if they don't want my business then time to move on to better! read more

After reading the reviews I am thinking the vibes I received were in point. Not sure if I would say racist, but definitely selective about who they serve. My tech "Sandy" was great actually. I considered going back, but after my gut and the reviews I will not. After being passed on by about four techs that weren't busy Sandy greeted me and was great and did a nice job. I wasn't too crazy about the receptionist or seeing that I was passed over for other selective clientele. Sandy was happy she got the hefty tip that I'm sure they didn't think I was capable of giving. Any who... if the review was just for Sandy five stars, but it's not. PLEASE BELIEVE ALL THE COMMENTS ABOUT THIS PLACE BEING RACIST. I walked in and was completely ignored. I had an appointment so I checked in and sat down. Then 15 mins after my appointment Jenny gets started on my nails. I show her a photo of French acrylics that I want and she says "I don't have time to do that". I agree on chrome silver nails (extra 15 and extra 15 for gel) show short acrylic chrome nails came to $75. Also while she was doing the chrome she asked me if I could come back tomorrow because she doesn't have time to do chrome. Like what's the point of an appointment if you have no time to do anything that I actually want. I kept asking her to make my nails skinnier and more square but she was in a rush to take care of her next appointment who had been waiting like 45 mins. Beyond disappointed because Jenny did my nails last time and they came out great and I wasn't treated like an after thought. Ended up going home to reshape my nails. read more

The salon is neat and clean, but the prices are outrageous. What nail salon charges you to cut your nails?? I went in for a fill and was charged for cutting down my nails and shaping them (even though I kept the almond shape). I feel like that should be included in the price of a fill. I'm certain the people at AQ won't give a darn about this review but my hope is other patrons see it. I had been there a couple times before during a lunch hour on a weekday. It was busy and I was taken quickly. Loved the 'keep phone calls to a minimum' signs to ensure relaxation. So, today I went in hoping for an even quieter experience since it is a monday & pouring rain. Place had 1 customer inside. The guy at the front immediately said, 'cash only today!' I said 'ok let me see if I have enough, how much for a pedicure?' He hardly answers me & says $39.' I looked in my bag, counted my cash & said, 'oh I don't have enough!' He was on a headset speaking a different language completely ignoring me. I finally said, 'ok thank you & started to walk out. Some lady stopped me & said, 'did you have a question?!' I explained the cash thing she said oh there's an ATM right there. I said no way forget it and walked back out into the torrential downpours. I was beyond infuriated. It was clear I struggled to even get inside cuz it was pouring so badly. I'll never set foot into that place again & I know the 'cash only' thing was a complete racket. I have been going to AQ nails for 4 years and I usually see Bonnie ( who is amazing and this review is not reflective of her ). just had a baby about 2 months ago , I had an appointment at 4:00 pm , get a call at 4:06 PM asking where am I and that my nail tech already took someone .. strange I then asked to be put for the end of the day at 6:00 pm . I called and let them know I was going to be there by 6:05 pm . I walked in at 6:05 pm and the owner a very unpleasant and rude girl who didn't even say hi says to me you have to wait because Bonnie was waiting for you ... I look at the time and it's literally 6:05 PM . Me and this girl literally are going back and forth . When I told her I would not be serviced , she stated that's fine . They have a 10 Minute late policy so she already was working on this client . My husband was going to get serviced but I refused as this was uncalled for and very dismissing behavior . My husband was upset as well so we ended up leaving . Too bad for them because my husband is a big tipper. Will not go back . Goodbye to my favorite nail tech . This place is absolutely beautiful and a lot bigger than I expected. The paintings on the wall are gorgeous and the plants and decorations are really soothing. Their selection of nail polish is pretty large. I paid like $15 for a regular manicure (no acrylics or gel or anything). I didn't catch the name of the woman who did my nails, unfortunately. But she was very nice and polite. I had a pleasant conversation with her. It's really an overall friendly environment here. I was happy with the welcoming ambiance and great customer service. Plus, my nails looked nice after my visit! Also, there's plenty of parking here. That's always a nice pro. read more

Original Review: To be honest I wasn't very happy with my acrylic full set... it's complete opposite of what I wanted and was also painful, my fingers are still hurting. This is my go-to nail salon during my work week when I'm in the city. I typically call to check if they have any availability ahead of time and they've always managed to get me right in with a technician seamlessly. The place was well-maintained and spacious which gave me a sense of comfort knowing I'm not rubbed up next to another customer's elbow and hearing all of their conversations when I'm trying to get a pedicure and my relaxation on. Regular Pedicure ($28)- I'm totally giddy when they bring out the hot stones right before the polish. My legs and toes feels so refreshing and light after the stone massage! Gel Manicure ($30)- They have a wide selection of colors for gel that lasted me 3 weeks without chipping. Overall Service: Excellent spa experience, super polite staff and they remembered my name which is always plus. read more

Please be aware that is a non mom friendly enviroment. I was there today with my daughter (3 years old) and our appointment was at 6.15. No one came to us until 6.40. My daughter was just looking at the color samples and talking to me about the colors. When they came at us they said that probably they will be able to do only the pedi for me and not the mani because of my daughter being there. I told them that she will will watching cartoons on my phone and will sit next to me and that will not be an issue. They insisted saying that she needs to stay still and something about other customers. We had to wait 25 minutes and they complained about her not staying still? I would understand if she was screaming or something similar but this excuse was unacceptable. Will not be going there again. I will choose a place that respects moms! read more

Ive seen maybe 4-5 different technicians here. Some were amazing, some not so much. But every time they miss something. Whether it's cutting my cuticles, trimming my nails or something as simple as filing the shape of my nail to make them straight. I have left with bleeding cuticles/fingers on multiple occasions. It's not a huge deal, but they do leave scabs once healed which takes away from my beautiful new manicure. Paying 60-80$ for a fill is ludicrous to leave with bloody fingers. Also, don't really understand how a fill is almost the same price as a full set.. Not sure if ill continue here. Nails arent done in a timely fashion either.. make sure you leave atleast 2 hours for a fill. They will charge you for every little thing. I am surprised im not charged for washing my hands in their sink. read more

I've been going to the nail salon for several years now. The salon, foot spas and equipment are all very clean. Technicians are very professional and friendly. They do a terrific job. The lighting is comfortable and phone usage is requested to be kept on a quiet mode. There is also an excellent selection of colors and services. This salon has recently acquired a new owner and the prices have gone up a little bit but I think that's pretty standard for the current time we're in. read more

I wasn't the customer but my wife was. She went there and when it was time to pay all she had was an American Express card which she found out they don't accept. No big deal, she called me and I told her I'd be up with the cash. During the wait for me to arrive (I was coming from Milton) they were extremely rude. They positioned a worker at the door as though she was going to try and flee without paying. They asked her five times when I was going to be there, looking at her repeatedly and making comments. Completely rude, unprofessional, and she wouldn't go back there if it was the last salon around. Not to mention the ridiculous prices they charge. DONT GET YOUR NAILS DONE HERE. SPEAKING FROM A VIETNAMESE GIRL HERSELF. I came in to get a pedi and to my surprise, the nail tech taking care of me was talking sh*t about me in my own language. (Thinking I'm not Vietnamese of course) She was talking to her coworker and said that "I've never had a customer with feet this ugly." Her coworker responds "not even a guy?" And she said "nope. This girl has a pretty face but her feet is ugly". Can you believe that? I know I don't have the cutest feet out there but it definitely isn't that bad lol. Maybe it's not everyone in the shop but the lady that was in the front and the fact of no one even acknowledging you (like most nail places) is a statement. This place is very iffy. It looks great in pictures and without speaking to anyone there, it looks good too. Only issue is that there's a lot of issues with the staffing there. Specifically the ones that man the front. Online and on their lis tof services, it shows that they offer acrylic, and you can even request that service when booking an appointment, but when you go there, they tell you they can't do it. The closest thing is dipping powder, and only 2 nail techs can do it, and they do it so CHUNKY. They add a million layers of dipping powder and don't even sand it down to make it smooth. The only things they do well are pedicures and regular manicures. They make it obvious that they don't want to do any manicures with tips involved, so they purposefully make them ugly so you don't want them again. Do not recommend for my acrylic/tip girls. read more

The good: the place was really clean and sanitary and the people were very nice. Got the spa pedicure (middle level package) and the massage was great. The bad: they didn't buff or file my toenails. My big toes still have noticeable ridges and toes don't have that freshly pedicured look. Paint job is fine, but overall it looks like I did it myself actually. TLDR: I've never gone to a place that doesn't file/buff nails before painting- especially with a $36 (mid level) pedicure. That's kind of the basis of a pedicure. I won't be returning. read more

We made an appointment on a Friday at 10:45 for my Mother to have a manicure. We arrived on time and were taken immediately. Mom uses a walker. Before we left the man who makes the appointments told me "Next time bring her on a weekday. Friday's are busy and she has to dry at the station ".
