I'll start off by saying I called the police on Bryan Rodriguez soliciting without a solicitor permit in Chesapeake which can be obtained through the police department. Now where do I start. *Knocked on our door with a 2 no soliciting signs. *claimed his boss had a badge to solicit. The company does not. *played stupid *claimed our neighbor sent him, they did not nor does it matter Look up the company! They are scammy!!! Very unprofessional, racial slurs, lots of vulgar language, and threats of harm was displayed by immature college kid working for aptive door to door sales, not from the area. event happened 5/15 on 1445 Jefferson Ave. at the Millers Gas station. There were concerned and frightened witnesses on scene. customer support is trying to cover this up, been transferred 20 times in one call to file a complaint. If I could give negative stars, I would. Deceptive sales tactics and rude customer service. What the salesperson doesn't tell you is that you will be charged every month, and they only need to come out every 30-60 days April - October and every 50-80 days November - March. They have come out 5 times since I signed up, which equates to $135 per visit rather than the stated $75 per visit. RUN away from this company!!!!!! read more

Stay away from this company! Many hidden cost and worst costumer service. I switched from a reliable pest control company after a sale guy came to my door with Aptive. It was appealing to me because it was non toxic/ no chemical pest option. Worst mistake. I would rather inhale cancer causing chemicals then deal with them. My experience. First tech was polite and complete. After that my tech switch to one that was totally unprofessional and lazy. When asked to pray usual areas like the garage the tech told my mother that they don't include that. When we pushed back he sprayed the garage but in spots and like it was an inconvenience to him. After starting with them I actually saw an increase in bugs in the house and the yard. So much so I had to go to Lowe's and spray the yard myself. When I communicated this to this same tech (who BTW I called costumer service after the first interaction to have him removed for unprofessional and harassing behavior) he blamed us for the bug problems. Lawn not short enough and 1 day worth of dog poop. I called again to complain to the company who assured me they would send my concern to the area supervisor and assign a new tech. Yet I got no new tech, this same guy kept showing up. After 4 times complaining that I was going to cancel my service I was promised a reschedule with new tech and a comped service. Well shame on me for being surprised when this same unprofessional tech messaged to come today. I have since made another complaint to the costumer service as I can only imagine how he is harassing other costumers. As well my pest problems have gotten worse. The costumer service guy was nice enough to wave the $199 cancelation fee (that was never mentioned when I signed up) for all of my troubles (so you get 1 star for that). However $169 every service which is 30-60 days (and they decided how often) is too much. Like others you sit an wait at least half a day waiting for an unknown arrive time until they text you and say "be ready in 15" And let not forget how unprofessional and rude the tech can be. PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT ATTENTION WARNING: Do not sign a contract with APTIVE Environmental Pest Control. They came to my door offering a discount for pest control treatment. We have been enjoying our backyard and have had ants which we were trying to find a spray that wouldn't harm our pets. When they approached me about the service I wanted a one time treatment- but they convinced me to get the huge discount (which they were only offering that day because they were already in the neighborhood) I would need to sign an 18 month contract- during which I would receive 9 treatments in that time. They advertise and inform you about a schedule of 30-60 days during summer months and 60-90 days during other months. I thought the schedule was decent despite not needing pest control in the winter I imagined we would push the unnecessary months to 90 days. We had them come the next day July 9 to spray our front and back yard for ants. When we were able to go outside again (after about 2 weeks of rain) we noticed a small difference but not much- we still see a lot of ants so I planned to contact them the next day for a reservice. Before they were even open for me to call I got a text that they auto scheduled my next regular appointment for the 3rd week after my initial service (24 days after the initial appointment to be exact). When I called they apologized and fixed the issue making the already scheduled appointment a reservice appointment because they didn't have anything sooner. That interaction went very smooth although I was speaking to someone who was obviously in a WFH situation and there was a baby crying in the background). Anyway, they came out Friday August 2nd, for the reservice. But oddly since Thursday August 1st I started getting notifications that I had yet another auto scheduled appointment booked for August 5th. I was busy and could call to find out the discrepancy and I figured that would take care of itself when they came out for the reservice- but it didn't. When I got the reminder for today's service I tried to notify them I needed to cancel using their code in the text. I eventually called again because the tech sent me a reminder message about the service for today. The person I spoke on the phone with today says the regular scheduling for the appointment after the initial appointment must be completed within 20-40 days. Nowhere in the contract did I see that, or discuss that with any of the multiple people I have spoken with? I didn't see it and nobody mentioned it because it's not there- I made not of the schedule being 30-60 for summer. But also they were just here Friday evening for the reservice why would I need them to come out 3 days later for a full service? I had to argue that this 20-40 day rule was not in my contract and that I would not be paying for a service that doesn't work- I promise I will cancel my card on file before I pay for a new service when their initial service didn't work. No way they're already trying to charge me $170 for second service THREE DAYS after the redo service. So now I'm stuck in this shitty contract with a company that keeps auto scheduling appointments without my approval... and the only way to reschedule/cancel is to contact during their business hours. If I were to break the contract I am contractually obligated to pay to cancel this contract. After arguing and not backing down the representative finally rescheduled my next regular appointment for September 6. I'm hoping I don't get a random appointment scheduled somewhere between now and then- but guess what!!! As I'm typing this after all that I finally got a response from the text code response I sent at 10:16am this morning. The response I received was at 1:46pm where they confirmed my appointment for today was rescheduled for September 6 and they ended the conversation. BUT WAIT THERES MORE... Immediately after that I get a new text saying they're rescheduling my new appointment and I'll be updated when it is scheduled. Fuck this BULLSHIT ass company. DO NOT "GO APTIVE"!!!! I'm really disappointed. The rep approached my husband, and in a moment of weakness, my husband let him in and we listened to Brian's spiel. Of course he was very nice and super friendly. This is one of those "sounds too good to be true" situations and of course it was. The contract came in email and the details were very different than what we'd discussed, and the financials completely different. I immediately sent in a cancellation notice. If you don't do it within three business days it says you owe them $199 or the amount of the discount for the initial treatment, whichever is less. The $199 would have been the lesser of the two.
