Every time Karieem was in our home, he was the very model of courtesy and professionalism. We were told that the product was safe to pets and animals, and there was a three-month guarantee against re-infestation. A week or so later, we noticed that the bugs were still in our home. My wife called back to let him know. He came and sprayed again. A few weeks later, same problem - ants and silverfish. He came and sprayed yet again, telling us that our problem was due to pet food being present in the kitchen. Yesterday, we found our bathroom infested with ants. So . . . we called yet again. At first Karieem was very cordial and seemingly sympathetic, as we had known him to be thus far. He even offered a full refund (we did not ask for a refund! We just wanted the bugs gone!). In the next sentence, he said we would be getting only a half-price refund, since he had "bent the rules and came out several times". After a pause, his whole demeanor changed he yelled, "You know what? You're not getting a refund, and I can't believe you asked me!" He then went on a 15 minute rambling, screaming fit, accusing us of trying to take advantage him, and calling us "classless", "pitiful" (I have a digital recording of the last three minutes of the "conversation" to verify this.) Whatever product was used for insect control; at our house did not work for 3 weeks, let alone 3 months, and Mr. Koon was vehemently opposed to hearing about its poor quality. Guarantee be damned! If a product doesn't work, it doesn't work. It shouldn't be a personal matter, as he made it to be. When a business owner decides not to issue a refund to a customer, or decides to not continue doing business with a particular customer for whatever reason, there are more professional ways to go about severing a business relationship than screaming, ranting, and insulting. The incongruent and aggressive actions of Karieem, to me, indicate that he is a potential danger to his customers.

When I purchased another property in the Bayview area 2 previous GETEM technicians could not get it right. I had numerous "water bugs" (roach like pest) encroaching the interior of the home after multiple treatments. This became intolerable when the Roach like pest were now found in the beds. It was not until a seasoned 20+ year veteran GETEM employee carefully surveyed the home and quickly changed the pesticide approach eliminating any more ROACH like pest in the beds. 2 weeks ago I was offhandedly informed due to "route software" my home would be serviced by a different technician. The uncaring unresponsive "Amy" who manages calls showed no empathy or compassion. She simply showed intolerance to a customer's need to have a seasoned expert to continue servicing the home to prevent ROACHES in the bed. The request to have the seasoned technician continue was not unreasonable given the "route" was adjacent and would not require additional time or expense. The new business model of GETEM is SCREW-THEM (loyal customer). I have moved my pest services to another "family-owned" pest control business who responded within hours and whose service was superior and more affordable. Maybe my $1,000.00 a year residential account is not worth an effort to a corporate greedy company. One day a door tag by Healthy Homes was left on my door and so I gave them a ring. I received instant communication and scheduling. AJ the owner came out and provided me a free estimate but also educated me a lot about my home, the creatures impacting my home and just so much more information than I have ever received. He noticed I had season carpenter bees and woodpecker issues which I suspected but was never confirmed by my 4 years of service with the other company. He was also very loving to my 13 yo dog and she warmed up to him fairly quick. The quote he provided me in comparison to the big name company saved me $600/year. This new quote included my detached garage which was never covered. I basically learned I was over paying for under quality service and products. We immediately book the initial service! We had to have them come out twice after the work was complete because they quoted us for additional joists and left the wood outside. The odor that was coming from our crawl space and into our kids room was alarming since they were to supposed to have sprayed it for mold....i was told that there was no smell but should buy odor absorbers to help. Charged more and didn't even do the work. The manager/supervisor came out due to my constant complaining of the smell and abundance of leftover joists and was given a story of how well the odor absorbers work.... Hired another company who found that the plastic encapsulation wasn't even done in part of our house and the growth of black mold was damaging the wood. Don't hire these people. Dissatisfied is an understatement.
