We just had our introductory treatment on Monday, May 21. Kevin Brown was our service guy and he was AWESOME. He thoroughly explained what he was going to do and then he did it. He reported back that he found 8 (!!!!!) wasp nests around our property and a dead mouse and we discussed pest control services for our little rodent friends. We were really pleased with him. Very friendly and polite, not overbearing. So why the three stars? The sales guy who visited our house to get us to schedule service was very grating - probably just an age factor. He was what you think of when you think of a typical door-to-door sales guy. Our municipal police drove by while he was talking to us (apparently, someone in our neighborhood called on him for soliciting; he had the required permits though) and the kid was bragging with to us about how he's so cool with our officers and was trying to show us that he took pictures with the officers from when he's been called on before. It was pretty immature and a waste of our time. Then, he, for whatever reason, could just NOT get my husband's very normal name spelled correctly in the email address so we could receive the documents; I think hubs spelled his name 4 times for the kid. Also, the time he rang was borderline inappropriate for us. We have a 1 year old and he was really cutting it close to her bed time. And, according to him, he still needed 4 more households to sign up in order to meet his quota (yes, he told us that too, and bragged that 4 more should be easy....at 7:30 in the evening....when families are settling down for family time and bed time). The kid's lucky we were already considering pest control services and that we like a good deal. Anyhow. The service guy was great. And if the results are good and continue to be good, we'll keep it up - with the hopes that we never have to deal with a sales guy again. read more

I wish I could give a lower then a one star. This company has been nothing but a head ache. I highly suggest using someone more reliable. Not once did they ever come when I was home. Because of that my inside never got done. They came out 3 times in the rain making the chemicals clump up and I was on the phone with them throughout the time I was a customer for over 5 hours. They transferred me multiple times every time I called. They know I have animals when all the chemicals clumped up and we're supposed to remove those and never did. They have repeatedly been smart asses on the phone and I have really really kept my composure for what they have put me through. There are so many other companies that are better please look into them. This company is a joke the way its run. read more

Sounds great if you have pets, want to take the environmentally friendly route, etc. I requested specific areas to address, called and wrote in notes for technician. No response. No direct treatment for the requested pest issue. I signed a year contract that when completed, I called to cancel. Oh no, it's a 34-month contract. I've never heard of a 34-month contract. Why not 36 months? No one knows. Cancel. It's worth taking the $199 hit to cut ties with this business. read more

-5/5 review : SCAM SCAM SCAM - SAVE YOURSELF THE MONEY AND TIME!!! We never signed a contract or agreed to any services. After one visit for a sales pitch, they kept showing up at our house two more times -- one of those at 7 a.m. -- even after we told them repeatedly that we weren't interested. Then, a month later, we get an "overdue bill" for a service we never scheduled, approved, or received. This company clearly preys on people and tries to trap them into bogus memberships. Do yourself a favor and read the other reviews before even considering them. They make it nearly impossible to cancel or get them to stop contacting you. Stay far away and save yourself the frustration. read more

They keep changing my appointment day to during the week despite repeated calls to them stating I can't be there during the week it has to be Saturdays. I called 2 months ago yet again and this time the guy scheduled me out to the rest of the year on all Saturdays amd put a note on my account that i cam only so Saturdays. Yet they keep changing my appointment date without asking me. Their trick ia if they come when they know your not home then they don't have yo treat inside area. What a waste of money to oay that much yo only treat outdoors! read more

Technicians said they found termites but upon a second opinion nothing at all was found??? The technicians from Aptive did not provide any pics or proof of the termites just an expensive bill to get them eradicated. So a little suspicious and so i would not recommend them as I am not trusting their opinion any longer. read more

I hired Aptive for services every 50-80 days in May. They told me I would receive a follow up service 20 days after the initial one. They never followed up. Then 80 days came and went and they still had not completed services. Despite Aptive breaking the contract, I was told there was no way to cancel without incurring a $199 fee. Apparently the customers have to abide by their contract, but the company doesn't. Insane. And probably illegal. read more

Our service in Maryville Tn has been horrible. They don't show up when they're supposed to. And try and call them is a joke. I believe our money has been wasted on them. They don't do what we are paying them for. We have been ripped off. read more

If I could I would give it no stars. It the last month I have been on the phone may times and have been different information every time. If you want to waste you money then sure go with them but to be honest with you its not worth it. read more

Oh my gosh theirs sales people are relentless! I am so turned off by their sales people I don't even want to try their services. Dude came to my house, rang our Ring TWICE. After I said I had a baby and taking care of her, STILL wouldn't leave. My dogs were going nuts so finally went out and talked to the guy and he was nice but just ugh- enough man. No is no! Had the audacity to ask for a bottle of water after 10 minutes of me explaining (while still holding my baby outside) we don't want their services. Ew just no. read more

Very hard sales tactic. They don't take no. Do your own research. They've been sued in multiple states for various reasons. They can't get a BBB rating. You have to pay a large termination fee when you quit. read more

Please stop coming to our door. We have heard horrible things and I know no one on our street uses you. It is lies. I don't know what they pay these young people to go door to door in 110 degrees but it is not ok. We have told them multiple times we use someone else and are happy with our services. They also come at the worst times when you have young children and dogs. As everyone says do your research before looking into them. read more

High pressure sales pitch at the front door which was obviously full of rehearsed lies. It was the middle of my workday, to boot. Poor kid was likely roped into one of those scam jobs that requires "self-starting, high-energy marketing people" but turns out to be garbage like this. If the way they go after customers is this unethical, how bad will they be if you actually hire them? There was a moment where I thought I might need a weapon to end this sales pitch. Never, ever, ever, ever trust a company who resorts to this kind of nonsense to get clients. read more

June - we signed a year contract including treatment for mosquitoes and mice. July - no improvement in mosquitoes, no response to multiple emails asking when they would service the property September - increased mice activity, Aptive rep said it was because no one has serviced the traps they put out, which can actually attract mice, then checked and confirmed no one from Aptive had serviced the traps they left October - further increased mice activity, called to cancel and ask for a refund, they said they couldn't refund us since they'd already "provided service", charged us an early cancellation fee Also agree with others here that their sales reps are very aggressive. Whole operation is very scammy. read more

I give them 2 stars because when they actually show up, the service does what is expected. However, they have no respect for the client's time. They missed an appointment window entirely then got mad at us for not being able to wait around an additional few hours to see if the tech could bother to show later. read more

DO NOT USE!!!! Their salespeople will flat-out lie to you. I was told that the cancelation policy did not apply because of the special service offer. They even crossed out that section on the contact on their tablet. However, after using the service for a couple of months, I decided that the service was poor, was not fixing the issue, and that customer service was impossible to deal with, so I canceled only to be told I had a contact and had to pay a penalty to cancel. I explained what the sales person said, and was told I was lying and that they never do that. Buyer Beware!!!!!!! read more

I am so angry with them. They set me up for quarterly service yet they billed me every other month. They never came in the home even when I told them I was having problems with ants. They said this was due to Covid. They gave me ant baits that I could have purchased from Home Depot myself which meant the treatment outside the home was not working. I called them to discuss this and the manager blamed me. He said the only way the service could be scheduled this way is if I did it. I have never ever called them or spoken with them to schedule service. The only time I communicated with them was to tell them I still had ants in my home after they treated it and I believe I did that through their app. When I told him that was an absolute lie and this was deception he didn't even consider trying to figure out how to make it right. He just asked me if I needed anything else before I canceled the service. I feel robbed by their deception. Please do not use them. They are not good. read more

I want to give them 0 stars but Yelp won't let me! Me and my husband were home BOTH times they said they serviced our home WHICH they did not. One guy pulled up, sat in his truck for 45 minutes then pulled off.. then my email popped up stating THANK YOU FOR YOUR PAYMENT TO APTIVE...So no service but they made sure they took our automatic payment... and for what???? for something we DID NOT GET...They said they would send someone out to do a re-service, but we NEVER got the actual SERVICE.. LIARS!!!!!! I don't trust this company.... They are DEFINITELY some scammers.. SAVE YOUR MONEY & DO NOT GO WITH THEM! read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Service was awful- they came out 8 times in the past year to treat for bugs, we still had them in our home. When deciding to leave the company, they wouldn't let me cancel, as my husbands name was on the account. Had my husband call- they said they cancelled our account and they had him send an email confirmation as well. A week later we get an email that we are scheduled for another treatment for the NEXT DAY, an appt that had never been there until after we canceled our service. I rescheduled to a later date (since they don't allow you to cancel appts) and had my husband call a second time, where they told him our service was canceled. This brings us to yesterday, where we receive information that our next treatment is scheduled for today. UNBELIEVABLE. I rescheduled the appt for later this month (again, as they don't let you cancel an appt). Called YET AGAIN, and they said they can't do anything about the account if they aren't talking to my husband. AFTER WE HAD ALREADY CANCELED THE SERVICE 2 TIMES AND SENT EMAIL CONFIRMATION. I then had my husband get on the phone for the 3rd time to explain canceling and they tried to pitch multiple more offers. Ignorant sales team, ignorant customer service, ignorant company. DO NOT USE read more

Same experience as others. Saw the guy coming into my driveway and said" what do you need" ? 3 times. Never answered me. Then said "that's not a friendly way to ask a question". Kept coming towards my porch. I told him to leave 3-4 times. He just stood there near my porch as I was telling to get off my property. I then stepped down and got a foot from his face and told him again, and only then did he slowly start to leave. Literally thought I was going to fight this guy by his attitude. Have it all on ring. Guess the police should watch the videos.... Eff this company! read more

This place will not let you cancel your service. I called two times to cancel and they continued to put me on the schedule. When I called the 3rd time to complain they tried to offer me better deals and push off treatment, even after telling them I just wanted it canceled. I finally had to raise my voice to get them to cancel it. I asked for a confirmation email to prove it. I would not recommend doing business with them. read more

I would give them zero stars. This service DOES NOT WORK. I was home when they stopped by to spray. The guy was there for less than ten minutes. How did he get done that fast? We canceled the service. They came again and charged us. We canceled again. They came on a rainy day. Why would you spray on a rainy day. We called and told them to STOP. They charged us again. Door to door sales guy lied to my 87 year old mother-in-law about working in the neighborhood and asked for a canceled check to set up direct withdrawals. If I could give a zero I would. If you have spiders, ants, moles, or chipmunks do not use them. They might help with something else but not these things. I have complained and they did send someone out to spray again but it does not do anything to the pests. The moment I put a dirty dish in my sink, ants. My yard is worse than it's ever been with moles and chipmunks. They actually step over the chipmunk traps I bought and set up on my own. Disgusting sales tactic. Truly a terrible business model as well. Stay away from this company. Nothing but trouble, could smell it from miles the way the kid pitched. I had Aptive for maybe 2 years. I had found them via the salesman walking around my neighborhood. He was cool. I didn't realize that I was having issues until I got an email notification that my house had just been serviced and I checked my outside cameras because I didn't get any notifications. Come to find out that I didn't get any notifications because no one had been around my house (front or back). This worker straight up lied...I think his name was Ortiz. How many other times had he done this and I just didn't pay any attention? I brought it to the manager attention and they said they needed proof he wasn't there...my proof is that my cameras were not set off at all the entire time he said he was there!!! No footage, no person working. I've had other employees of theirs who would ring my doorbell to announce they were there and I could talk with them through that and tell them problem areas, or I would see them on camera walking around my house. The manager didn't want to cancel my subscription immediately cuz I had like one more service remaining on my contract & if I didn't keep it I would owe them a lot more money. I had them come back out to re-service my yard and then had them discount my last service dramatically and then canceled. They should not be allowed to do this to people. Stay far away from them. read more

Me and my wife were home BOTH times they said they serviced our home WHICH they did not, but they made sure they took our automatic payment for something we DID NOT GET...They said they would send someone out to do a re-service, I had to ask them what is your definition of a re service because we NEVER got the actual SERVICE.. LIARS!!!!!! We told them we just wanted to cancel and do not want the service they said it will be a huge fee to cancel, we refused for these liars to service our home or even come on our property. The customer service said we would receive a refund back to our account until we are ready to be re serviced again...never received refund LBS... this company is a professional JOKE. Called weeks later, said the money had been refunded to them to HOLD FOR US until we get serviced again. They are a bunch of foxes and play with people time and take money for services that their customers never receive. After speaking with someone we specifically told them when they come out to our Home please ring our doorbell or knock so that we can let them know what areas we need done in our yard and house but that never happened. I contracted with them for pest control. It sounded good. First treatment was fine. Still had spiders and ants though, but at least they showed up. The second scheduled appointment was a no show. I called again and spoke with the route manager, he said I would hear from the office. No call. I tried to get a refund and they have refused. Avoid at all costs. I write to complain about snakey, dishonest sales practices. This is a door to door sales company. We have asked them to leave our neighborhood at least three times throughout this summer. They lied and said they were visiting their client (they have no client). They've snuck in and used neighbors names that I suppose thy found in the phone book. The guy today lied to and intimidated a 78 year old gate attendant lady. No mask, no soliciting permit. I did some research, the founder is Mormon. He considers this a successful sales strategy. He's even won awards for sales. Ugh. I'm so disgusted. read more

I have mixed reviews for Aptive services. Great service; unethical billing. The servicer personnel that actually did the work were great. Very professional. Timely. Effective. The billing practices are questionable. We opted out of auto asking instead for hard copy bills that we would pay. However, Aptive somehow got our information and put us on auto pay. When I realized and called to complain, they said they would remediate. They didn't and took another payment out of our checking account. To me, this borders on unethical illegal practices. I appreciated their service but would never recommend them because of their billing/collection practices. read more

In what world is it ok to go door to door for sales in 2022? From covid to safety, this is not an appropriate form of solicitation. For the second time, the crew working in my neighborhood decided to canvas other neighbors even though we have a no solicitation requirement. When asked for credentials or municipal approval, they always pull out out a different city and then argue about their ability to pester people. Previously I've called their manager and he told me "this won't ever happen again!" and yet it's happening again. Sadly - this time when I tried to call, their automated voice system stuffs me into an endless loop of "we're experiencing higher than expected volumes" with no way to leave a message. I'm not even a customer and this practice of "well your neighbor uses us - you should to" could be done by following our well known solicitation rules. Aptive know this yet continue to let their teams stroll around unmanaged. First time I got into a threatening confrontation where I almost had to call the police - this last time was at least not as bad even though they argued and wouldn't leave. A no is a no. See the picture below - this is August and I don't live in Chesterfield. Do better Aptive. read more

PLEASE stay away from this company!! They are a total scam company. The scam started with the door-to-door salesman promising so many things that never happened. Second, the give you the first "Quarterly" treatment for a discount, but then come back in 30 days, and charge you full price for that treatment. Then, the scam continues when they start charging every two months instead of once a quarter. The biggest scam of all is just NOT SHOWING UP, but charging for the service anyway. On Feb 10th, we had 4 inches of snow on the ground. I was home all day. I received an email saying they had done service that day. I went out and took pictures of the snow around my house and deck, with absolutely NO FOOTPRINTS ANYWHERE. When I contacted them to not charge me, they transferred me to someone, I waited on hold for 10 minutes, and then they hung up. I was charged and never received a refund. I contacted them a couple weeks later to tell them I was going to call my credit card to get it charged back, they didn't seem to care. I'm not sure how a company like this can stay in business. I actually think they just spray water when they do come. I had more wasps, and spiders then I've ever had. Please save your money and spread the word. #AptiveIsAScam Brad M. read more
