I took the day off work so I could be here on the scheduled day, and they showed up in the window that was promised. Their service vehicle was a mess on the outside, with paint peeling all over the front etc. It's just something worth mentioning because it makes them look a little less professional. I went over the grounds to describe the issues that I am having. I really needed to get things taken care of and was happy that they were here to perform the spraying. They were here for about 30 min. or less before I was told that they would have to come back some other time since their sprayer was not working. That was disappointing since I needed service sooner rather than later. Great, now I have to get back on a schedule and back in line and wait. I have no idea what was treated before the sprayer broke, or if anything was treated at all. This kind of information would have been nice. I received a VM from the office to reschedule - No apologies for the inconvenience of my taking off work for this appointment or anything. Just a "call us back to reschedule" type of thing. The last thing I need is to take off work again with the potential of the job not being able to be completed. I am going to go with another local provider and hope for the best.

He was honest and he said that he saw something that could be it but he suggested that I contact my insurance company first because of possible damage to my roof. And that is what I did. Comes to find out that I needed a new roof and I really didn't hear that much activity after he left. So why am I giving him a great review because he was honest. He didn't try to take my money he said that he maybe saw a little bit of activity but more than anything I probably need to call my insurance company regarding my roof. As we know raccoons and squirrels can enter your home at any time so if that's the case in the future I will surely contact them because of his compassion for wildlife and his honesty. When we had a new retaining wall built he let us know that he added in some additional traps to help keep the critters out and we didn't even have to ask! Every so many months I do call to see if we can schedule a time for him to walk around the house and spray inside rather than just outside. each time I have called to schedule this service the customer service rep has been helpful and friendly and I have always been able to get something scheduled for the day and time I prefer. We pay for treatments every 2 or 3 months and if they have to come visit in between scheduled service, it's still part of the package we pay for which is really nice. I had squirrels in my attic during spring, when mama squirrels are nesting and giving birth. There is no shortage of squirrels in my neighborhood in south city but even so I couldn't bring myself to hire people who would kill them. Garry and his folks thoroughly explained the squirrel mindset and nesting habits, waited until babies were old enough to leave the attic, and blocked all the entries except one with a "one way door" for the squirrels to leave and not return. (What's worse than killing adult squirrels? Starving the babies whose mom couldn't get back in to feed them and having them rot in your attic.) Once the temporary camera confirmed no more squirrel activity the workers came back and blocked off that entry too. I feel better that all the possible entryways for critters are now solidly blocked with critter-proof metal that blends neatly with the fascia on the house.

The following is what worked well for me, as well as what did not work so great. The Good:- My first application was free, thanks to a promotional campaign. - Quick response if you need them to come back out. - Detailed information is provided by email after each service, but I wonder how much of it is "canned." The Ugly: * When the rock beds were treated for weeds, some of the overspray killed the grass. This was not in an isolated spot, but seemed to be the 'norm'. Some of my plants were also affected by this. * I just had a new patio poured and new grass seed put down. On the first application, the technician went right on ahead and walked through the newly sprouting grasslings and seed. * It seems that i was not due for another service until the Fall. Weeds were overrunning my rock beds. The driveway had weeds in the cracks. My yard had weeds all over the place, including Nutsedge. I called to see if they could take care of that since I was in between applications. They came out right away to treat the areas and then sent me a bill for $73.00. The charge was what upset me because it was completely unexpected. If when I called the office, they had said, "Sure, we will come out, but there would be a charge for the 'xx program," I would have understood. I don't like unexpected, sneaky charges. I called the local office to see what happened. Because the extra charge was not communicated, I decided to terminate the service. The woman snippily said, "So you don't want your lawn care manager to contact you about this, then?" Another miscommunication... Gosh, that was an option? "No, thank you."When I do my own lawn, it's a lot of work loading up a tractor with a spreader, aerrator, sprayer, etc., which takes time. IMO, my results are better and there are no surprise charges... no wondering when the next service will be... no snippy people to deal with. In the long run, it costs me less but takes away the convenience of having a service provider. That's how it's going to have to be for now. A simple thing, like letting a customer know upfront about charges, shows transparency. That did not work here.
