I am absolutely delighted with my experience thus far with Aptive Environmental. Not only was my sales rep, Adrian, an absolute pleasure to work with, but my technician Alex Torres was just phenomenal! To begin with, Adrian was incredibly accommodating when I had to reschedule my initial service TWICE, but their customer service system is great at communicating reminders and arrivals for the day of service. Life is hectic, and unexpected things come up, but Adrian flexed and flowed like a ninja to make sure I got an appointment that worked best. Alex arrived on time and with the most wonderful attitude, and he made the time to run through what I could expect from his work. He patiently answered questions and very graciously tolerated my bossy little puppy. I was also incredibly impressed with the level of care and consideration Alex provided while he was in my home and on the property. He arrived clad appropriately given the COVID pandemic (clean, masked, properly dressed) and he used shoe covers the entire time he was in my home. He had to change covers a few times due to some complicated access points in my home, but he was diligent and completely attentive. Despite being in every single room in the home and on every square foot of the property outside, Alex was completely unobtrusive and allowed me to continue my own tasks with confidence that he was providing every element of the treatment as promised. These people are money grabbers. They recommend how often you should have your services performed but then they schedule without consulting you. You have to constantly go into your account or call them to reschedule or they'll come out and hit you for $200+ dollars. I wish I would have read reviews before I signed on the dotted line. Within a year I waisted 3 different days waiting for a service technician that never showed up. I was told I would receive a credit for my inconvenience, which never came. The last breaking straw was the agent I scheduled an appointment with gave me completely miss information on what the tech could do. I never write reviews on social media, but this company needs to be investigated for deceptive trade practices and fraud. I signed up for their service in February and I was given a quarterly payment plan. They billed me monthly for the next 4 months at the quarterly rate we agreed upon. The amount paid in those four months should have been what I paid for the full year on the quarterly plan. I called their customer service line and was told that to be billed quarterly, I would have to pay approximately $50 more. I explained that I had already made four payments, so I should be good for the year. She stated that they had me on a monthly plan and there was nothing she could do about those payments. I regrettably agreed to the new quarterly amount. Two months later, I noticed that they billed me the increased "quarterly" rate in June and August. I contact customer service again. He agreed that I was on a quarterly payment schedule, but could not explain why I made "quarterly" payments in a two month period. I told him that I wanted to cancel my service because they are either crooks, or extremely incompetent. Of course he comes back with an offer of a discount on continued service, which I refused. Then he tells me that he can not cancel my service because I am not calling from the phone number on the account, so I would need to call back or send an email requesting cancellation. Long story short, if an Aptive sales rep knocks on your door, don't even give them an opportunity to make their sales pitch. They will make promises that they have no intention of keeping. They also have a $200 cancellation policy, which I am sure comes into play with a lot of their customers. I wish I had seen the Yelp reviews before signing up for service. read more

Let me start this by saying. . .I have NEVER had issues directly with technicians. They are some of the most professional and courteous technicians of any kind that I have ever dealt with. However, management, corporate and customer service seem to only exist to take your money. Although they are a 12 billion dollar company, these are things I have heard directly from technicians. 1. Just spray water (from a manager) 2. They frown on replacing equipment as needed 3. They fire people for things they were told were ok 4. There are better products, and they know this 5. I suppose I can at least give Aptive credit that their service works as I have not have pest issues since entering a contract with them. However, they'll drain you for all you're worth. Service was initially sold as an easy as needed, scheduled treatment. In reality, rescheduling unneeded appointments is nearly impossible without getting someone on the phone. Text reschedules, if even provided (as in the last 8 months they seem to have removed to option to reschedule via text half the time), are only able to bump your appointment by a max of two weeks - if they show any available appointment slots at all. Then they'll book you again without having any check in on your last day of service. My final straw was trying to cancel a service planned for a day, being told it was too late to do so, and then receiving a message that my next appointment was scheduled for less than a week later. Works pretty well if you explain to them you studied contract law and how the contract not only ensures payment, but also completion of services. Sucked from the get-go. Regret answering the door, I usually don't, so I'm especially kicking myself about it now. Salesman was doing a great job suckering me into signing up, saying our neighbors so and so had their services, saying they took care of mosquitos which I was adamant about. Kept getting right in my doorway (this was over a year ago, during the pandemic) and stated that he was vaccinated so it should be fine that he is so close to me and my living quarters without a mask (eye roll). Signed up for quarterly services which were more than our previous provider. Our initial service, no one showed up. Tried again and no one showed up. Third time they did show up. I was in contact with the salesman the whole time, felt we should get the $50 Amazon gift card they were touting for new customers for this inconvenience, he said since we already signed up we did not qualify but would pay for it out of his own pocket. He never did. As I said before, we've had this company for over a year. Here are the things I've noticed. They constantly try to come out every month. We signed up for quarterly. They forget that constantly. We have cameras in our yard, there have definitely been times they come out and charge up for front and back yard and the cameras never pick up anyone in the backyard. No decrease in bugs. Increase in spiders and earwigs in our house, absolutely no decrease in mosquitos or bugs outside. There has been times we get a good tech who takes photos of things he finds and texted it to me. That's was maybe twice though, in over a year. We are finally going to cancel our service after again, we have a text reminder about some scheduled service this month after they just came out last month. read more

I explained very clearly that my back gate MUST be closed when he finished because the dog will bolt out the second I open the door if it isn't. 20 minutes after he left, I opened the back door so she could go out and pee. And out the open gate she went. Had to spend 45 minutes with my distraught child going after her. Called customer service and got "ok, I logged your negative experience," with no offer of anything to make up for what we went through. Very questionable business practices and employees. I started with Aptive and did not ask for automatic billing, after second appointment, to my surprise my card was charged immediately after the service, throwing my budget out of balance. Now after a couple days after service they start calling and harassing me about my unpaid balance, which I always pay. BEWARE OF UNPROFESSIONAL AND DISHONEST EMPLOYEES AND MANAGEMENT. Last service appointment the guy came and sprayed my house. I was having issues with roommate, now ex-roommate, and he told the guy he could have anything in the garage he wanted... which were all my belongings (tools, 3D printers, etc). I arrived and asked the Aptive guy if the roommate was giving away my stuff and was told no. Later looking at security cameras I notice the guy carrying items out of my garage... I contact him and his response is "I just sprayed for bugs, I didn't lay my hands on anything". After going through videos I saw over $3000 worth of my items go into the Aptive van. After contacting the guy again, he tells me that he was told he could have it (different story from what he originally told me). After contacting Aptive, his supervisor contacted me and said he would return my belongings. I only got about $300 worth of stuff back (small compressor, toolbox with plumbing pieces/tools, and old chop saw). Just some of the items taken and not returned Creality CR-10 3D Printer, XYZ Printing 3D Printer, Rigid Stacking tool box full of hand tools and complete Porter Cable Cordless tool set, Milwaukee reciprocating saw (almost new), numerous boxes of hand tools. The manager said it was a big misunderstanding and nobody was at fault... I disagree completely. I never accused Aptive of steeling anything, nor have do I now accuse them of steeling since the roommate gave it to him, but when called out about the incident within half an hour of leaving my house, I was told "I was only there for 15 minutes spraying for bugs" when in fact I have videos of him going through my garage and making repeated trips to his van with my stuff for over 35 minutes, after spaying for bugs. I hired them and they charged me $120 up front then said they were coming a few weeks later. I received a text from the technician saying they were 20 minutes out. I was outside cleaning my pool making sure my dogs don't get out. I message the technician asking if they were close because it had been a while. They tell me they already came and left. I told them I was outside the whole time. Cleaning my pool and they say they didn't go into the backyard. I get an invoice charging my card saying they didn't my whole property when they didn't and I have proof they didn't. I'm upset so I call to cancel because they breached the contract and they said I need to pay 199.00 to cancel. They are con artists and I am sending a complaint to the Texas attorney general. At this hour no one has been to my house today or any time in several days. My wife and I have not been out of the house all day. To spray the outside requires me to unlock a gate for entrance to my yard as my drive has an electric gate as the only other entrance to my house. I did not use their service but the way the guy banged on my door multiple times and then taunted my dogs by then banging on my glass window to make them bark even more (I have it all on camera) while my niece was asleep then to ring to door bell after not answering the did not leave a good taste in my mouth. What female would answer the door with not just one but five unknown guys after banging on the door like that. Unacceptable. Canceled my contract today due to them not doing what they said they would. There were multiple times that they never serviced the back yard but when i complained they said Well we can only go off of the notes from the technicians. I contacted them right after an appointment where i was right by the window for the back yard and stated that the tech never went into the back yard. I was told byt the account manager he had to go by the notes but could have someone do a reservice but couldnt answer why they arent doing the back yard, but notes say otherwise. Got a new account manager and they said they were trying to process a refund, but it kept getting rejected and they wanted me to send in video showing that the backyard wasn't getting done and then they would continue to work on it and then asked if that was good enough!
