The salesman came by today and told me that their company had trucks operating in my neighborhood and offered me a discounted price to sign on. Which I did. I was promised full perimeter pest control three feet up and three feet out from the house, decks sprayed, eaves, and more. All this for $85 initial and follow ups for $129 per visit. Now my house is a 4600 square foot two story with four attached decks and eaves all around. The worker showed up a few minutes early (4:45pm) and left just 20 minutes later (5:05pm). There is simply no way that this job could have been completed is such a short time. At least not done well at all. Now I have an 28 month contract that I will be voiding. This has all the appearances of a scam. I should have known better and I should have checked Yelp reviews first. Beware. read more

Despite all the 1 star reviews, I've had very good service with this company. I have been an active subscriber for 2 years now. They visit 4 times a year. I never have to think about sugar ants nor spiders, which used to plague my home. Happy with nontoxic, environ-friendly products they use, which is very important to me. Also, consider more than 1 treatment as spider eggs and ant nests hatch a few months down the line, so having them scheduled for a return visit every 3 months is what did the trick for me! Customer support person in Arizona was helpful and responsive, so always feel well taken care of as a customer. read more

They completely ignore signs posted about no soliciting, and come back day after day, month after month knocking and ringing your doorbell. They stood outside my house several times for over 4 minutes. Finally I answered the door and pointed to the sign and asked them to leave, however the girl kept talking over me and telling me that a neighbor, who doesn't live in our neighborhood, uses them, and kept talking over me as I asked her to leave. They don't read the signs that say no soliciting. I like to go over a physical contract. They make it nearly impossible to cancel within three days. You can't call or send an email to cancel. I also like to research companies. I will never do this again. They use pushy college kids to sell a scam. I have signs on my house to be left alone and not deal with these scammers. We are now going to put up a gate across our driveway. I was scammed; they never came inside my house, which the service guy said he did. They like you into a contract and then threaten to take your money. I don't particularly appreciate it when companies go into my account. It is my account, money, and responsibility to pay my bills. The service is not excellent; I still found cobwebs and plenty of spiders. I usually do it myself and have great results. I feel stupid for not sticking to my gut feeling. Huge regret. Unfortunately, by the time you read this, you will have signed your life away. They got me outside when I worked, and my husband works overnight. My dogs started barking like crazy, so I ran to the front, and some young college kid, who couldn't read went right through my closed gate. I was upset and told him, please get out of there; my husband was sleeping, and the dogs were going to wake him. He then makes a condescending comment. I feel like I was under stress when signing up. To get him out of there. He made it seem like he owned the company and informed me that some people would be working around here. Never talked with their sales when they knock your door. I got a text showed there is an appointment on 6/23, at the beginning I thought it's scam text. I never ask for any Aptive pest control service and don't know why I received this text! I talked with their rep and she said I opened an account on Feb?? I don't even know what happened and who opened the account for me. The only thing I can remember is that an Aptive pest control salesman knocked my door months ago and I answered that I am shopping around to change my current pest control. Was using pioneer before had an ant problem and pioneer would treat and they'd be gone for about a week and then show right back up. I switched over to Aptive and have loved them so far have had them for about 6 months now. The customer service is awesome and the guys who come do the service are super nice and do a great job haven't had any ant problems since switching. Definitely would recommend! read more

I have been using Aptive for a few years now. Whenever I have issues, I have called and they are there for me within a day or two. I had just had a service a month before [they come quarterly] and i started getting sugar ants. They came right out and helped, no charge no problem. I don't understand them being called 'scammers'. I just had a supposed salesperson from Aptive come to my door and ask me if I was still having problems with ants. I have not told anyone that I was having a problem with ants. He said he was working with a neighbor I had never heard of. I'm sure it was a BS line. I have a 'No Soliciting' sign right next to the door. I asked him if he had seen it and he said "Oh no I didn't. But do you still want any help with the ants? I also see you have spiders." I told him to go away as I didn't need any help. I was not taking it. He was quite pushy. A few minutes later I went outside to see if I could see him on the street and while I was looking at all the neighboring houses, our next door neighbors also came out. They said the same guy came to their house, as well as the neighbor on their other side. They both called the police non-emergency number and the police said they will be sending a squad car over. This is BS. Forgot to mention that it was 9:45 PM on a Friday night. Unacceptable. read more

I give it less then a one. I finally broke down and decided to pay to have my ants gone. they have not done that. I paid 399.00 for 4 visits I have had to call them back each time because the ants remain. one time they brought me the plastic ant traps, I could have save 399.00 and just went down to Albertsons and gotten them myself. when I tried to cancel they wanted an outrageous amount. Signed up in May for full service with mosquito service which included a mosquito killer system in our backyard. It's October and we still have not received the system. Every time they came to the house it was a different person and that person had no idea about the mosquito killer. We have dogs and asked the last service member to make sure the gate was closed and lock put back on when he left so the dogs didn't get out. GUESS WHAT??? Yep he didn't do and my dogs were running in the street. Requested a manager to call me to follow up on the mosquito killer never received a call back. Today I canceled my service and again requested a call from a manager to get a full refund of the services they DID NOT provide. DO NOT and I stress this immensely DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THEIR SERVICES. On Saturday 7/20/19 a door-to-do salesperson violated a no soliciting sign and refused to provide identification or proof of soliciting licence (required by city he was soliciting in). I called customer service and requested to speak to a manager to report the issue to ensure it does not happen again on 7/20, 7/21 & 7/22. I was given different reasons why I could not speak to a manager. I advised them if the issue was not addressed prior to today, 7/23/19 I would file a BBB complaint on this issue. I reminded the young man that we are in the middle of a pandemic and door to door salesmen were an outdated method. He said that the only way that I can be on their "red flag house" was if I pulled a gun out on him... I DID NOT PULL A GUN OUT ON HIM, and said that me and my partner put our lives on the line everyday to not get infected, and then he put us on the red flag list.
