This company called me shortly after I expressed interest in their services. The representative was friendly and professional. We were given an appointment the next morning. Josh came out. He was behind schedule and let me know, which was considerate. Thought might have termites but he looked around the whole house and said that there were no signs of a problem. Don't trust any of there lies about billing, easy pay, or the service they provide. I was overcharged, appointment frequency changed without notice, double billed for an approved service, and then they refused to refund the full amount when I have their customer service agent on record saying this would never happen. The service they actually did was great the first month and kept getting worse and worse each visit. The last technician was so lazy, I ended up repeating the pest control on my own a week later. Big problems were completely ignored even after I asked for a specific treatment. Save your money and either go with another company or do the pest control yourself. I noticed immediate results after I used a product from Home Depot. It's lasted months so far, as opposed to a week! read more

They came around when I had a rat problem. Rats are gone. I've since signed up for the quarterly treatments. I no longer see spiders, silverfish, or ants. They always let me know in advance when they're coming. They're happening in the backyard when I'm not home. They clean spider webs off of my cameras. And they always email me a pdf report of what they did and what they found. read more

We are moving out of state but had to give a shout out to Orkin! 7 years of 5 Star Service from Aaron at the Wilsonville, OR Branch! We have been so blessed to have found such a great company to work, thanks to Aaron. He took care of our property including coming into the back yard during the day while we were at work. He always made sure our 3 dogs were safe and didn't get out (he even gave them loves). Rodents, spiders, ants were gone once we Orkin started servicing our home. On June 21, 2023, my home was treated for a quarterly pest control by Joe Peck and a trainee. I highly recommend the work that they did. Joe, in particular, is a very conscientious and courteous employee. In addition, he seems to be a wonderful mentor to the trainees that work with him. it is wonderful to see a person that takes such pride in his work and also takes the time to be a caring individual. You really get to know how an organization behaves when things don't go well at first. Orkin visited our son's condo for a rodent preventive application. While the technician was in the crawl space his foot slipped causing him to push against an old brittle water line, and it broke. He came up from under the unit at high speed, cutting open his head on the crawl space opening, and rushed out to the main water value outside to shut it off, with blood streaming down his face. Needless to say, he was horrified by what had happened. But it was how Orkin handled the incident that causes me to write this review. They made it clear immediately that we should call a plumber and no matter that this would be an after-hours call they would pay for all the repairs, including the overtime that would be charged that evening. The bill came to well over twice the Orkin service call. Orkin paid the bill without complaint. That's what a customer service-oriented firm does. And oh, by the way, the rodent prevention effort worked well, too! read more

My review basically covers the lack of communication given by the scheduling office. What organization decides to re-schedule an appointment, without any fare warning (that same day) and has the audacity to give the approximate hours of 7 am - 4 pm? Apparently, this organization and it's leadership feel that it is justifiable to tell a customer, "just reschedule your time to fit ours and we'll be there when we can." As for service and reliability, they were adequate at best, but the fact that giving notice on using such a horrific standard gave me pause for thought (about 2 nanoseconds) and made me realize, "You don't care about my schedule, I don't care about you're service." Good bye, good riddance, and I hope you treat your customers better than this former one. read more

I called Orkin in Portland Oregon last Monday for a same day appointment 2:00 to 4:00 pm and around 1:00 got a call and was told the representative had a flat tire and he'd have to reschedule, we rescheduled for Thursday of last week from between 2:00 - 4:00 pm. Thursday came and I received no phone call, he was a no call no show! I called Orkin and was placed on hold for 15 minutes and was told the representative wasn't picking up and someone would get back to me! NO ONE HAS GOTTEN BACK TO ME!! I am disgusted by Orkins lack of follow through and I cannot believe they're still in business treating customers so badly! read more

I called these guys up after rats got under our house. It took quite a few visits to seal off the entrances (really should have taken one visit not months of me complaining there's still rats down there). Nobody even showed up for my last scheduled appointment.. The last few visits before then, no traps were set, even though I saw rats and asked for some measures to be done. No peppermint spray was sprayed because they were out of it, no bait before that to set traps. The guys that came over were friendly and nice but didn't want to do much in terms of pest control!! Also, the communication between the reception folk and the person who comes to your house seems lacking. The rat problem is still there, I still trap them myself. The whole 5 months we had this service seems like a waste, rats came back under the house, the foam spray they used as sealant doesn't stop rats, needs steel wool inside. read more

WOW * completely botched the spelling of my last name even though I clearly spelled it out to them. * I waited a week for the bid/estimate via email but because they botched my last name it did not come through. My email was filled out online so they should have had the correct information. * the company ran a hard credit inquiry without asking me if it was ok causing my credit score to drop. I had not even CFCseen a contract at that point. I did enjoy conversing with the estimator about woodworking and things but I cannot get past the hard credit inquiry. I am pretty pissed off because of that and will be looking elsewhere for pest control. Update April 5th 2020: I was contacted by the branch manager. He offered a sincere apology and said they would make it right. Within 2-3 days the hard inquiry was removed from the credit bureau and my credit score restored to where it was before. It was also communicated that running a credit check without consent is not normal operating procedure and steps will be taken to assure that does not happen again. read more

An Orkin truck parked in our yard while servicing some neighbor/client on the worst ice and snow holiday Portland has recently seen. I sent many photos of the truck and damage to two local managers. Both of them said no big deal--fix it yourself. There are many 1 star reviews of this outfit. I'm not a customer nor will I ever be. Steer clear of these cockroach clowns and find another company to kill your pests. There's some irony for you. read more

The absolute worse service on the planet I don't even know where to begin, all phone support has been rude, unhelpful and all they do to resolve issues is put you through to a "local office" voicemail where NOBODY calls you back. We had their services for 10 months and were promised mosquitos would dissipate within 3 months, that never happened. Then we were patched through to a mangers voice mail who never called us back until we left 6 voice messages in 3 weeks, after we finally decided to cancel in July they continued to send us monthly bills stating "we never cancelled" when I told the woman to check the notes on the account she repeatedly talked over me and was incredibly rude, she then just patched me over to the local office without saying a word on the phone, again we were passed off to a voice message box and 4- weeks in not a single person has called us back. At this point we have hired an attorney to dispute their monthly service we cancelled months ago despite being told "30-day cancellation. No hassle read more

So my landlord is the person who hired this company. Because we noticed rats living under our deck when it started to warm up. So a younger guy came out to have a look around the house and explained what needed to be done and sprayed for ants. The guy who came out was very friendly and was on time for his first appointment. When it came time for him to make the second appointment he chose the date and time and I agreed. I got a text from him early the day of the appointment that he was on time for the appointment and then continued to text saying he wouldn't be able to make it and chose and other day. I didn't respond and a few minutes later he text again that that other time and day didn't work either. This guy had text three times changing the appointment. I didn't respond and contacted my landlord. She wasn't very happy and called and made a complaint. We guessed it would be someone new coming out because of our complaint. Nope, same guy. Mind you this guy was very nice, just unreliable. Seemed to just do whatever he wanted. He also never did the screens like he said he was going to after filling the holes to the deck so no pests could go in or out. Same kid came out again and did the screens after the complaint. A few weeks after another older guy came out. I noticed someone in my front yard. I have a gated front yard and you have to open my gate to come in. He walked in and started checking around the front of the house. I kind of thought it was a little weird because my car was parked out front and clearly somebody was home. I heard something that sounded like my side gate to my backyard and then I got a knock on the front door. He says "sorry I need you to open your side gate I dropped my phone and glasses over on the other side". This gate is like 6 feet tall and the guy was fairly short. So that means that he tried to climb the fence to open my gate to get in the backyard. When he hadn't even knocked on my front door to tell me that he was here to do service. Before the guy sprayed for ants he did not tell me to move anything kid related. Also, he did not even let us know that he was done so I can shut the side gate I have three little kids that play outback and it would've been nice to know I could shut the gate. This company is just very unprofessional. Pests are gone so the job was done so that is why I have three stars. read more

He took all the time we needed to ask our questions, find out about the treatment he would be using and what we could expect. I would give them no stars but it wouldn't let me. I would NOT recommend them to anyone. We were told we would have a quote by Tuesday evening I waited and nothing so I waited until Wednesday mid afternoon and nothing so I contacted them and was assured they would have a quote to me very soon. Guess what I waited until Friday and nothing until I called them AGAIN finally friday evening they called with the quote Besides the fact they charge $95 to come to your home before giving you and estimate. Then make you wait until you call telling them you will be calling the better business bureau, Then the quote is 4X the amount of the company I contacted Friday afternoon and that company well they will be here Monday morning. Had I known it would take Orkin that long I would have contacted someone else a lot sooner and the company I went with said they could have been here Wednesday but I gave Orkin the benefit of the doubt. Boy was I wrong. So NO I DO NOT RECOMMEND them for anything. read more
