False advertising and lack of customer service.

This company offered LG pedestals for washers on offer up for $80. I drove all the way out to the store and was told by a lady who identified herself as the owner that the post was old and she tried to sale me a set of the pedestals for $240. She wasn't interested in keeping me as a customer due to the businesses incorrect information. Customer Service is just as important if not more than product. I'd think twice about spending my money there if I was you.

Offer up hold message

Worst customer experience I have ever had. Don't expect them to hold anything for you. I had a dishwasher on hold and they were selling it to another customer when I arrived. I had to drive 45 minutes in traffic to get here before they closed. They were supposed to have the dishwasher on hold for me until the end of the day and asked me to come before 6. I showed up at 5:30 to be told that the model sold. They made no attempt to call or message me to tell me. They even had my phone number in the hold.

My new washer/dryer!

They had several that met our criteria in stock--though it turned out only one would fit. Our salesman, Kevin was very patient, and ultimately we said let's do it. For a some extra fee he was able to arrange next day service. The two installers who arrived today, William and Anthony were amazing. They measured carefully to ensure that the refrigerator would fit before they unboxed the refrigerator. They were gracious and efficient and even suggested a way we could solve a problem with a drawer really close to the refrigerator. This was not our first exprerience at Metropolitan Appliance, and it won't be the last. The professionalism of both the sales staff and the installers was outstanding.

I can obviously only speak to my personal experience, but this is the second time I've made…read morepurchases from Metropolitan Appliance, and if I need appliances again this will be my first and likely only stop. For the appliances I was looking for, they were exactly the same price as the largest retailers were advertising. I can't speak to a comparison of their install prices, but the dishwasher delivery/install/haul-away cost was well worth it. The showroom in SoDo is clean, uncrowded, and staffed with knowledgeable people who are ready to help you. I worked with Kevin, who was not pushy at all, and generally was happy to just talk about what they had to offer in my price range. The big key for me is the service, especially after the purchase. I've had pretty poor experiences from the larger retailers who subcontract out the delivery/install. Metropolitan Appliance handles this portion of the experience only with in-house employees. This is a huge plus for me, especially if there are issues. And for someone who lives in an older home, there are ALWAYS issues. In my case, the range was perfect, but the dishwasher was not. What I ordered wouldn't quite work in my space. I was able to speak the technician about what the issue was, he noted his advice in their system, and I worked with Kevin to find something that would work given the new information. I also had to reschedule the second delivery the day before due to a change in my work schedule, and even though it was Kevin's day off, another employee answered the phone immediately and was able to give me alternative dates. Which were only a couple of days later, not a month out. Today I was able to get the dishwasher installed. The same team showed up. Ned and Jacob were great both times they worked in our home. They were polite and genuinely good people to talk to, and seemed to enjoy their work. They took me through what they were doing in the install at my request for some future changes I had planned. They also realized early on in the day that they were going to be a bit later than the delivery window I was originally provided with. Ned reached out immediately, kept me updated, and I was able to make use of that time instead of sitting at home waiting for no reason. Long story short, despite my moderate purchases here, I felt that my business was actually appreciated. The appliances didn't cost anything more than they would have elsewhere, and the install team was courteous and upbeat, even after a long day.

Appliance failures are urgent in our line of work and it can be difficult to find a vendor who has supply in stock and most importantly, fast response time and scheduling. This time I asked about their delivery service, I was qouted a price and given a date and delivery window, which was two days later. I was fine with that eventhough it was a five hour window. When I called on the day of delivery two hours in I was told that my wash machine was on the truck and on the way, and that the driver would call me when they were an hour away. After waiting for the whole five hours no one called me and no one delivered my item. I called back and the lady stated oh maybe their running a little late YOU THINK? So I asked if they could have the delivery person call and give me an ETA. She put me on hold and TJ came on the line and said he would call me back in a few minutes to let me know how much longer it would be. Well that never happened the store closed without calling me back. I called the next morning and TJ answered and I asked why he never called me back he began to deflect and talk about how he told the drivers to give me a call. I stopped him to remind him he was the one who was suppose to call me RIGHT BACK. I asked again when can you deliver my appliance, he told me he did not have anyone in today who could do the delivery"It's sitting right here all I need is someone to deliver it to you." HOLD UP!! You told me it was on the truck and out for delivery today why is it still in your store? He could not explain why. He stated he would try to get someone out later in the day then he asked what would be a good time for me. I said YESTERDAY AND ANY TIME THERE AFTER. Needless to say they still did not deliver my machine that was saturday. On monday at 11am I called to inquire about the same delivery the older lady said let me get TJ. He gets on the phone and states the washer is on the truck for delivery. I ask why didn't anyone call me to let me know this and schedule a time I would be able to be there. He asked how early would I like to have the delivery I said NOW. Again he states they are at one stop and I will be the next one. OH AND I WILL HAVE THEM GIVE YOU A CALL!! REALLY!! NO CALL AND NO WASHER!!! I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS PLACE AGAIN I PROMISE

I described my issue with my freezer (loud buzzing sound when the motor comes on) and he was able to schedule a technician to come by on Monday afternoon to work around my schedule. The technician, Vasyl, texted me when he was on his way and arrived promptly as scheduled. He was able to quickly diagnose the issue (ice build up that was hitting the freezer fan when it turns on). To repair, I needed to move all the food items out of the freezer and into coolers, and Vasyl was able to quickly repair the issue by manually defrosting the ice build up using a commercial steamer tool. He inspected the fan and it was still operating normally and no buzzing, so it did not need to be replaced. He was able to diagnose the issue and finish the work within one hour of arrival. The repair price was reasonable and the inspection fee was waived since I went ahead with the repair. Vasyl also answered my questions about how to prevent this from happening again and also some recommendations on future fridges when it is time to replace mine. Vasyl was very friendly, professional, and courteous. Thank you Vitalii and Vasyl for fixing my fridge on such short notice. My family really appreciates the quick turnaround, fast diagnosis and repair, your transparency on the issue, and not recommending any unnecessary replacement parts. You saved us money from buying a whole new fridge!
