The store itself felt very cramped, and the inventory was limited, which made it hard to seriously compare options. Pricing also wasn't very appealing -- everything felt inflated, which I'm guessing may be influenced by the surrounding area. What stood out the most was the lack of engagement. There were plenty of staff gathered in the back having a loud conversation, but during the roughly 10 minutes we walked around, no one acknowledged us or asked if we needed help. Because of the tight space, limited selection, and pricing, we ended up leaving without purchasing anything. Not a terrible experience, but not one that encouraged us to stay or return.

Great thanks, I think we could have gone over that over the phone and had it taken care of before the install. The unit wasn't installed for a couple more weeks- I was living out of coolers. Thanks home depot. So next my dishwasher died (I've lived in the unit for 25 years), this time I call Lowe's. Smart me, right? NO. They come by with the dishwasher and tell me they can't install it because the connection (water line to the unit) was too far from the install area (it's maybe 2 feet away). OK thanks Lowe's. That's when I found Smith Appliance. I told them the problem they told me "no problem". A Curteous professional sales person helped me select an appliance (made in u.s.a) in my price range, they have an on-site install guy gave me a price on the spot (happened to be there) and they came and installed it. That was almost a year ago, the thing runs perfectly, very quiet , dishes clean.....my only regret is that I should have dug in discovered this business 30 years ago. We continue to buy our appliances from them and in fact just purchased a matching GE washer and dryer in Dec 2025. Three weeks into using the dryer it stopped heating. We checked the breakers etc and called GE Service who was NOT OPEN today. We called Garrisons and spoke with WES. He gave us several suggestions as to what to check, no luck. Later today he came out to our home and checked the 240-line, plug, timer settings, and finally opened up the dryer to find the heating WIRE had come loose and no longer attached. Wes reattached the wire and reassembled the dryer. It now once again works like a charm and as expected. You will NOT get this kind of service at any BIG BOX store and once again KUDOS to Garrisons They are local give not only great service but outstanding customer service.. something we will always pay for and support local businesses. Yes we will continue to use them as needed for all our furniture and appliance needs ... give them a try .

After going to Garrison's, I decided to go to Ashley furniture and Woodstock Outlet. BTW Woodstock Outlet is not really an outlet! The quality at Ashley was poor thus the cheaper price but they charge $179 for delivery. Now that's ridiculous! Woodstock furniture outlet had 3 sofas I liked all of which can be purchased at Garrison's. In addition, WF charges for delivery. Not only is Garrison's price substantially less, they don't charge for delivery. This is a no brainer. Shop a small local business and save money.

As I said the store is packed so if you're looking for multiple of the same item you may have to search around to see if they have additional quantities. My last time in the store I picked up a couple nice semi flush interior light fixtures and cannot be happier with them. Their hours are shorter than most retailers and they definitely have a small parking lot that is shared with a couple other businesses in the little center. They answered…read morepromptly and asked what wasn't working, what the make was(LG), and the approximate age of the fridge (3 years) and said they would get it on the schedule. 24 hours later, after hearing nothing, I called back to find out what the schedule was for a tech. No mention of a service fee on either call. The tech arrived, no mention of a service fee at arrival, spends 2 minutes looking at the fridge and asks me the age again. Promptly tells me that it's under warranty (5 years), they don't do repair work and then tells me there is a $60 service fee. I called the office and was told "you didn't ask if there was a service fee - we've had the same service fee for 20 years." I can't comment on their actual work because they will not do the repair I have, but their communication is very poor.
