Totally impressed with this company, and I'm hard to impress. Called at 10:45 am and a professional repairman, Scott, was here two and half hours later. He identified the problem with my fridge and quoted a $220 repair. I gave him the green light and left him to do the work. Twenty minutes later he's done and we're finishing the payment when he says "this actually only cost you $95 today." Why so little I ask? He tells me the part he thought needed replacing had a minor issue he found when working on it, so he simply fixed it and didn't need to replace anything. They only charged me for the time to repair. Now, the thing is I'm a business owner who already authorized the $220 repair. I would be none the wiser if they did the more expensive work that would have made them more money. Rowan is so polite, he confirmed my washers issue (didn't have to tell him the story) showed me where it was, how he was going to fix it and how to properly keep up the maintenance. The rate I was quoted was exactly what it was no additional add on's or upgrades or expensive suggestions. Just pure honestly and a fixed washer.... I just changed my review from four to five stars. I had the dryer repaired after much consideration and it works like a champ. Kurtis was on time, professional, and quick about his business. I highly recommend this company to anyone in need. See my first review below to better understand why. I only have four stars because I don't know the quality of their work. I called because my dryer broke down. Kurtis came out and said he could fix it for around $200. He followed that with"this dryer is about 10 years old and other parts are likely going to break due to age. You might think about replacing it, even though that means I lose the business." My stove locking mechanism (and self clean function) went out 6 months ago, I'll just clean it myself. My dishwasher stopped working last month, I can hand wash dishes. My washer stopped working today, I've got a trifecta! Cannot put this off any longer. I found them here on Yelp. Pleasant phone discussion with office girl, repairman showed up next day on-time. He interrogated all 3 same day, fixed one on-the-spot. Ordered parts for other 2, and fixed them 2 days later. All 3 now work perfectly and only cost me about $450. Considering the part needing replacement for the dishwasher was the electronic "motherboard" and stove was replacing the entire locking system I think this was a good price. And he quoted me the price in real time during inspection via his smartphone lookup of replacement part costs. Now everything works perfect again, thank you Appliance Works, I'll call if anything else breaks (sooner this time now that my repair-cost anxiety has been alleviated!). Our fridge started to leak and we are big on using local businesses. Being new to the area, we saw that Appliance Works is not only local, but family owned and operated. Two workers showed up, on time, one was there to train because their business is growing so fast. They quickly identified the issue and I got to watch the experienced worker train the other first hand, not in some classroom. The time and care he took to teach the other one speaks volumes of how they do business. They were done within 45 minutes and it was only $90! They took their time with clean up, ensuring our floor was dry and things were back as they found them. They knew we would be looking to get a new fridge down the road and they spent time discussing brands and styles so that we would be more informed when that time comes. They take card/check. Called just after opening, and was given same day appointment. Tech, Jim, was professional, on time, and super nice and knowledgeable. He was there to look at two appliances. Immediately diagnosed a blocked drain in washer- easy fix. The 10 year old refrigerator had a common problem, and he had it up and running in no time. The price was better then I expected. Fairly new dishwasher stopped working and after looking on the Internet and checking YELP, I found Appliance Works. A guy named TY came out and diagnosed it as a broken pump. After ordering a replacement part and installing it the next day, it turned on and appeared to be working correctly. But, as soon as he left I started doing some dishes (they had piled up a bit as it was down) and right away I knew it wasn't heating the water. My dishwasher has a "Heated Wash" and "Heated Dry" setting and the water wasn't heating up anymore that how it came out of the pipe. And at the end of the wash the dishes were all still soaking wet. A sure sign that something was broke. And why is it that when something is fixed that something else just happens to break at the same time? I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt that they didn't break something when they repaired the pump...but I wonder. Anway, called TY and he came back out. He fiddled with it a bit and manually forced the heating coil to turn on, which I saw. So looked good to me, and we wrapped things up and he left. But of course right away I knew it wasn't fixed. Same thing - not heating up. So the heating coil was working but whatever was supposed to trigger it to turn on wasn't working, and again, the dishes were soaking wet at the end when it was set for "Heated Dry." So I text TY and I can tell by this point that he thinks the unit is working fine, and that it's not the dishwasher, but me. "I checked the manual and it only heats up at the end of the wash," Ty said. Bullshit. When you've ran the dishwasher and it's only heating up as much as the water heats up normally coming out of the pipes AND when it's done the dishes are still soaking WET, something ain't right. So after $350 bucks paid to Appliance Works, I still have a broken dishwasher AND a company that thinks they've fixed my unit, but anyone who has owned a dishwasher would know it's clearly NOT fixe. So do I call them again to come out AGAIN. NO, I'm done. I actually text Ty one last time telling him it just wasn't working...and didn't even get a reply. Worthless Update: Since the owner went to such length responding to my review, let's just get the facts straight small We? - I sent a text to Ty telling him my dishwasher still wasnt working after giving it a weekend of washes on the off chance it would start to work. It didn't. - Ty never responded to my text. I waited several days. - I wrote the Yelp review. - All of a sudden I get the call from the owner asking what he can do ( so didn't give a shit until review...) As I told him, I already had another repair guy coming to check out the dishwasher. I told him no thanks. Again, after 4 trips to my house and Ty saying nothing is wrong with my dishwasher, why in the hell would I ask them to come out again. - It's news to me that Ty tested my panel. He pushed some buttons on the door to run it manually. He never said, "Yeah its broke." He didnt have a clue what was wrong. Not a fucking clue. But by all means Thank You for not charging me for that... - So yeah, I didn't want you to come out. For what? The 5th time? I already wasted time and money ($350) and now your saying you know what's wrong and it'll cost more money. How much do you think dish washers cost? If I did what you want I'd be paying more to you than I would have to pay for a brand new dish washer! That's certainly good for you... One thing Ty said that I actually liked. I asked him at the beginning of all this what happens if he 'fixes' my dishwasher and it doesn't work. His response - "Then you don't pay." Well you guys still have my $$$... Jim showed up at my home this morning right on time after making an appointment yesterday afternoon. Within 10 minutes he had diagnosed the problem with my dryer and fixed it with nothing more than the cost of a service call. He went out of his way to recommend an improved ducting system that he installed on the spot and was on his way within 30 minutes. I've had two outstanding experiences with Applicance Works, once when I first moved into my house about 2 years ago (refrigerator), and once again this week (clothes dryer). I called the morning of Christmas Eve and they were able to get Andrew to come out that afternoon to diagnose the problem. He was right on time and assessed the problem quickly. Andrew came back with the part right after Christmas and got the dryer fixed for us. Everyone was prompt, courteous and professional. The price was fair and my issue was completely fixed. I found this repair place in a Google search and saw how many positive reviews they received, plus they are members of the Better Business Bureau, so I took a chance and scheduled with them. I was a little nervous since I'd never used them before, and when I hadn't received a call by 12:45pm for an 11am-1pm window I called the office to make sure things were still on track. The repair guy called soon after and said he was on his way. He showed up and was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Bonus, he was also really cute! Though that last bit wouldn't have mattered if he was a jerk or trying to scam me. He did what he was supposed to, checking out my fridge, diagnosing the problem, and offered multiple solutions. He also answered all my questions without hesitation. He even looked up info about buying a new fridge at various stores in the area during the Black Friday sales when it looked like the part I would need would be about the same cost as a new fridge. Excellent. Used them for my property in Scottsdale though I live in LA now. Super easy. I phoned for help; Christina scheduled with the tenant, and the only hiccough was Miscommunication of the phone info for confirming arrival time with the technician. They called me the next day for payment. Perfect. Process. The dishwasher had some glass in it. That discovery cost $100+. The basic call is $55 (applied to your fee)... $$$$? Still cheaper than a new dishwasher, of course, and the time was probably worth $100, but it surprised me a little. read more

Live in a rental and needed someone to come take a look at a dishwasher that was not working. I watched the tech and he determined it was the float pretty quickly. He cleaned it up and secured it better from the bottom of the unit. Tech was quick and professional the only complaint I have is I never received a receipt. I've had several really good experiences with Appliance Works. The latest was AMAZING! 5 stars! Clothes wouldn't dry (LG washer/dryer combo). Brett examined and adjusted every necessary point....said no problems id'd, but perhaps adjustments would work. If not, $425 job would be necessary to replace the main module. It didn't work. He got the part, came back, but had a new idea. He spent hours taking everything apart and sure enough, his "hunch" turned out to be correct. The other day, Friday night 3/4/2016 we started to notice that our freezer was not cooling all that well. The next day, Saturday, it was apparent that we had a problem. We called an appliance repair firm we had used in the past and they could not get to us for 10 days. A few hours later my wife was chatting with an acquaintance who mentioned they had used Appliance Works and were very happy with them. We called and the repairman was at our home in a couple of hours. He was polite, professional, and explained things every step of the way. He diagnosed the problem and fixed the freezer. Wonderful service. I had called and was some how able to get a same day service call. They provided me a 3 hour window 12-3. Matthew called just after 12 saying he was on his way and was to my house by 12:30. He definitely put the time in and did a good amount of troubleshooting and diagnostics. We found out it was the magnatron (part of the microwave). So Matthew will be picking up the part and work with our schedule to come back and have it installed. Sam arrived at the agreed time, and was most polite. He worked on the ice maker for quite a while...trying all he could to see what the problem could be. He then looked up the cost for a replacement part and gave us a quote, saying that if the maker didn't work this time call and he would return and replace the part. Ice maker was indeed broken, and he did return promptly the next afternoon to replace the part. All works great now! I MUST say, all in all this was avery pleasant experience...even with a broken part...but Sam's manor was most polite, friendly and helpful. I was most impressed in the fact he really wanted to know WHY the maker wasn't making ice...when all signs pointed to that it should. My refrigerator died 3 weeks ago so i called this place to send a repairman out. Since the refrigerator had not worked in 3 weeks it started to get that old musty smell that is common..so i dumped some baking soda inside to keep the smell down. I figured I would bleach out the inside later but only if it was fixed--if not don't bother and just toss it away. So the repair guy shows up and says he can't stand the musty smell coming from inside the box. I found it odd that he seemed surprised...all ice boxes start having this aroma when they sit with no power. After looking it over he said he had to leave, because he couldn't stand the smell..and did just that. What I also found odd is the musty smell only happens if you open the door.....the parts that need fixing are on the OUTSIDE of the box anyway where you can't smell anything. Also you would think someone that fixes these for a living would be used to this by now....It is like taking your car to a mechanic, and hear him say he won't work on it because he doesn't like the smell of oil! To his credit he didn't charge for the call so I saved $65 to put on a new ice box....never really found out of this one could be fixed, but he said it was too old to put money in it....so in the end everyone was happy.....but next time I call this place it will have to be a repair on something besides a refrigerator! read more

I needed new door springs installed on a Bosch dishwasher. Also was having problems with the ice-maker on an LG fridge. The tech said the problem with the fridge was the insulation allowing warm air to the ice maker. He could not find the part no. for the Bosch springs, said they were no longer available......that was all hog-wash. Not satisfied I then called Mr. Appliance, the tech found the part for the dishwasher, and said the ice-maker needed replaced----after doing a thorough diagnostic analysis. Less than 6 months ago, I used this company for my dryer was not heating. first mistake is buying Samsung. My second mistake was calling Appliance Works . I paid the visit charge ....all in all I have given this company over 400...and the dryer is not heating again. first visit was replacing the heating element in the dryer because it wasnt heating. That very day the dryer started overheating and it had a code of HE on it so I called company' again and told them that the dryer was now drying the clothes so hot that you could not even take them out of the dryer so then it burned the clothes he came back again and said it was lint in trap. Which is always free of lint. repair man came back a second time visit to CEK out the overheating issuewas replacing the heating element in the dryer because it wasn't dry. That very day the dryer started overheating and it had a code of HE on it so I called company again and told them that the dryer was now drying the clothes so hot that you could not even take them out of the dryer so then it burned the clothes. the repair man came back a second time and found nothing wrong. The complaint I have is that this company will only warranty their work for 90 days Samsung only guarantees their parts 90 days so the solution was for them to come back out replace the heating element if it needed it which obviously it does and charge me all over again which I'm not gonna do I would not recommend Samsung ever again and I will not recommend appliance Works. I called the office I was told there's a 90 day policy and that I could have them come back out again but to be another service charge plus repair fee. I told them that I thought in order to keep the customers happy and continue to have customers is to do the right thing and eat the cost of the repair of the heating element or give me a discount or something I Think that good Customer Service would have fixed it. But i think two visits are enough. Very disappointed haven't had the dryer or the washer more than two years. I am now looking to purchase another dryer for $1000 it won't be Samsung. Don't do appliance Works unless you wanna give them your money and not get nothing in return . read more
