We bought an open box dryer from Appliance Factory in Thornton. They delivered it (4/16), hooked it…read moreup and it kept tripping our breakers. They set up an appointment for an electrician and took our old (still working) dryer. On 4/17, the electrician found all our electrical was fine (new house) but there is a short somewhere in the dryer. They wanted us to set up a repair appointment with their 3rd party repair company. It would be 3 weeks before they could repair it. I called the store twice on 4/16 to talk to the manager -Patty (left 2 messages) and she never returned a call. I also called their "president's line" on 4/16 for customers wanting help with issues. Again, called twice, 2 messages, no return call. Horrible customer service. We are guessing that this open box wasn't because of scratches (which we could not see) but more to the fact that it doesn't work. We called our original salesperson first thing this morning (4/17) stating we wanted another actual working dryer or our old dryer back. We are still waiting for a call back. Should have been a quick answer- "we are sorry we sold you a defective dryer and we will correct our error with an actual working dryer". My husband finally called Parker (salesperson on afternoon of 4/17) and he said they are going to call us Monday to refund our money and schedule a time to pick up the broken dryer. They didn't say anything about bringing back our dryer that they took. What we have done to try and remedy the situation: Contacted two local tv station consumer reporters to see if they can help. Submitted a review with the Thornton Chamber of Commerce. Disputed our credit card charge. Filed a complaint with the Attorney General's office. Emailed all of the information above to the store and CEO via Linkedin. Filed a complaint with the BBB. Today is 4/20. I received text messages from the repair company trying to come repair the dryer which is not an option and I have no idea who is trying to set this up. I called the store to let them know we are still waiting for someone to schedule a pickup of their dryer. I also sent an email. We still have not received any communication. Called Parker(salesperson) at 5:20 asking for a return call. Did not call. Called the President's Line at 6:07 - left a message that the defective dryer will be out in our driveway for them to pick up on 4/23/26 and we accept no responsibility for it. 4/21/26 Filed complaint with Business Consumer Alliance. 4/22 Received call from Kaden regarding my BBB complaint. 4/22 Received call from Jordan that dryer will be picked up between 3 and 5 on 4/23. 4/23 5:05 Called Jordan to see where they were. He stated the truck broke down, they weren't coming and that he had left a message (which he hadn't). 4/23 Left message for Kaden that pickup didn't happen. No communication from them at all. 4/28 - Notified the "President's Line" that I am giving them 48 hours notice to pick up the dryer or I will be donating it. Filed a complaint with Call for Action.

Delivery people would not allow me to disconnect the washer (since they said they couldn't due to…read morebad connections) so they could haul away the old one on that day. Old one had to sit in my renters living room for two more days and we had to put aside another whole day to wait for someone to pick the old washer up. Delivery men were rude and did not understand or speak good english. When I called to ask for refund on haul away since it was such poor service I was told I would get a call back and I never did. I called again and this time was told they could give me I could only a $25 certificate and I was not allowed to speak with a supervisor. They said it was not possible for me to speak with a supervisor. Terrible customer service all around and I will not be doing business with lowes in the future for any of my homes.

I made sure to check the location closest to me and see if it is available, it is, but not online. I drove there, checked it out and then cashier told me that the price is not what it says on the website. I spoke to their manager (Mario) who said the same thing. I would not have driven down to the store if I it didn't specify on their website that there's a promotion. I wanted to get a shop light, a small shop vac and a few other things besides the glue, and I am a Lowe's loyalty member, but I didn't and left after no effort was made to verify the promotion or why it actually exists online but not at the store.

As of this moment, Home Depot Thornton is literally keeping my money and not delivering the product, and I cannot get any help from them. The Home Depot team, namely Roberta, is simply too unorganized to even be able to process my full refund or return my calls. This has been incredibly frustrating. I ordered and prepaid $450 for a security door at the Thornton Home Depot 5 days ago. First of all, after someone came and took the measurements I had ZERO response so I went to the store in person. I ordered a door from Larry, the door guy there, and prepaid over $450 for the door and install. Turns out the door would NOT have fit my door anyways, but no one called to tell me that. AFTER I PAID I HAD ZERO CONTACT for my door. I called to get a refund. I am still waiting for it to show up in my account, and yet Home Depot still did not refund over $250 for the installation charge. I called and FINALLY got a hold of COS Roberta. She refunded only the door, not the install. So, I called back and left a voicemail. ZERO response from Roberta. I now am going in today to see if I can get my money back. What an absolute CLUSTER. I will NEVER shop here again and I DO NOT RECOMMEND THORNTON HOME DEPOT. The staff is friendly but no one takes responsibility for any of this order purchase and I cannot even get my money back for a product they could not install (and never bothered to tell me they could not install) in the first place.
