So there's still more work that needs to be done, but i felt inclined to update my review. If I have the time to give a bad review, I must also take out the time to highlight the positives. Previously I was left with an incomplete shed for a few weeks. Not the worst thing to ever happen to me, but definitely frustrating cue the #firstworldproblems. Anyhow, this morning I was pleasantly visited by an employee of A-shed to complete the work that needed to be done (roof, trimming, and other odds and ends). I couldn't be more relieved that this is finally getting completed. For the most part I am happy. Nearly all of my concerns have been addressed and I couldn't ask for more. Would I recommend a-shed? I would be very transparent of my experience; but, given that when they finally pulled through on ensuring the job is complete I am satisfied. Just the end result took longer than anticipated but this experience only made me appreciate the shed more. read more

I first came in contact with this company at the Denver Home show. I had spoke with Yo there and got some initial information on purchasing a shed from them. I mulled it over for a few weeks and when I made my decision I went to their location. I spent about an hour with Yo, who I had met at the home show and we went through the whole process of figuring out what I wanted, the things I could add and paint colors available. I was a bit shocked when I asked how far out it would be scheduled. I was told I could have it by the end of the week if I wanted it. That was really wild to me. I decided I needed to push it out 2 weeks so I could get rid of the existing structure and give enough noticed at my job. Then after changing my mind several times on roof pitch direction, door placement , color and do I want a window, skylight or both the decisions were finally maid, drawn up and the date was set. Stupid me forgot to bring along the credit card I wanted to put the deposit on with me but it was no problem. I could call when I got home and give them the information so there was no return trip required. I also needed to take some additional pictures since I made a trip to their location for this. They were more then willing to come to my house to do a site survey and discuss everything, but I like to see the operation and how things work so I was more then glad to go to their shop. I was also able to email the pictures they needed of the proposed site and back yard access they requested. On the day of the build they showed up on time and ready to go. They began to unload and were literally building within about 20 mins. I was pleasantly surprised. Everything they needed was on or in that truck. Things went up really quick and with out issue. The bottom frame was put together and leveled, floor installed, walls added and then the roof rafters went up. Soon shingles and touch up paint and they were done. It took 5-6 hours and it was all complete. They cleaned up and just like that...they were gone. The guys who came were polite and friendly and just as eager to get it done as I was to have it done. They answered my questions and asked me to do a walk around to see if there was anything they missed for touch up. Always good to have another set of eyes on things. I am happy to say they hadn't missed a thing but I appreciated that they wanted to make sure I was completely happy with their work. I can't imagine things having been easier or going smoother, they even put up my solar lights for me. I can't say enough about the entire process. I am very used to doing things myself so not having my hands in at least something was not what I am used too at all. The shed has a 20 year warranty with it as well. Go see Yo and the guys at the next home show or call them up for an appointment. It was well worth not having to lift a finger and have a great building at the end of the day. read more

Lots of bad reviews, which I should have read before I became just another one. This company competes with Tuff Shed and some other actually reputable companies, but they absolutely shouldn't. We agreed to have a shed built by them after a lot of back and fourth and nonsense. They are very limited on what they offer and misleading in their materials they provide for you to make a decision by. The contract they provide is worded very interestingly and you really need to question everything with them, before you sign. The day finally came for them to begin and the parked their junky old trucks all down my driveway and right up to the garage doors, where we have custom finished concrete. Their old vehicles leaked oil all over our driveway and that was just the start... Their crews can be compared to that of a circus act. Totally unprofessional (swearing, yelling, fighting, smoking and acting completely ridiculous). The shed was supposed to take 1-2 days to complete but with all of their goofing around and mistakes, it took 3.5 days. Garbage left all over the place, construction materials all over the yard, piss poor paint work, fit and finish or workmanship. The sales guy "Yo" and I went back and fourth a lot, and he was truly embarrassed for his crews and the way things went down. He asked for pictures, to which I provided and he was appalled, as were we. A-Shed damaged my property (pictures to prove), built a truly crumby shed, sent out crews that shouldn't be working on people's property, left construction materials all over the place, painted the shed like garbage, built it even worse and then left. The builder bullied us into taking a $300 discount to make up for thousands of dollars in damages, poor craftsmanship and lots of issues left behind. I'll attach some pictures for you all to see just how poorly they build sheds. Attention to detail is not the forte of A-Shed. They simply do not care. Do you remember the scene in "SAW" when he says...I want to play a game and the stage is set for something horrifying to happen and for the weak stomach folk...now is the time to look away? That about sums it up...HORROR. I WOULD recommend this company to my...enemies. I mean...why not. This place needs to clean house starting from the manager on down. I don't know the owner but his staff speaks for his leadership. I literally did everything pertaining to this project. They even gave me a drawing of the garage and had me fill in the measurements otherwise they'd have to charge me for that. Destroyed my gutter with a failed attempt to repair it. It's leaking and getting them to repair it has been nothing short of a disaster. They completely forgot to tighten down the anchor bolts. I spent a good hour doing it for them after the fact. They closed the firewall without tightening the anchor bolts and they'll have to cut and repair it after tightening the anchors. Which may be related to the leaking...we'll see. They installed the man door in the opposite direction. So they had to redo that. Incorrect measurements made for the window install and had to modify it with tape...(kidding) It looks terrible. Sold me a shitty garage door. Left a bunch of crap on the roof of the garage. So much so that the inspector gave them hell via through me. Roofing tiles loose and needed more reinforcement. I went through 2 sales persons and the manager is even worse. They are extremely incompetent, unreliable and most of all...the worst customer service I've ever experienced in my entire life. Putting a white ghost pepper in my eyes would have been a better experience. read more

The shed itself is great, however the lock broke and although under warranty they have refused to replace it. Refused to return calls and intentionally lied to get out of the call! We have filed a complaint with the BBB. This company was happy to take our money for the shed but doesn't follow through. read more

First and foremost, there will be two reviews here. The ONE star out of FIVE is NOT for the work. It is for the BILLING DEPARTMENT. 1: The work itself -- I would give it 4.5 stars out of five. Quick, efficient, sturdy. Minus 0.5 stars for small things like the door locks not lining up with the holes, door jambs either too tight or too loose for the doors, nails sticking out through the plywood. We had to fix the door issues ourselves, but not a big deal. Totally WOULD have contracted A-Shed to build another garage for us in the future HAD IT NOT BEEN for the company's billing department (in this case, we dealt with a woman named Wyndy). She definitely lost us as continuing customers. 2: So ONE star out of FIVE for billing. Long story short -- my husband told A-Shed to charge one particular credit card. Somehow, somewhere, the message got lost, and A-Shed charged a DIFFERENT credit. (We had two on file with the company). SIMPLE mistake by the company. Billing should have just reversed the charge and recharged it to the correct CC, but A-Shed's billing department basically refused to do anything about it, saying my husband had authorized the charge -- which he had NOT (we sent emails to Wyndy, she didn't even bother to reply to many of them, phone calls went unreturned). PLUS -- there was even an OVERCHARGE we needed to talk to her about, but she wasn't getting back to us on that either! (A-Shed figured out that mistake later and did apologize and reverse it). It basically took two months and two filed disputes to finally get her attention. She sent previous emails saying we would have to pay as much as a 12% fee to reverse the charge and recharge it to the correct CC (a mistake that was A-Shed's fault in the first place!) In the end, we had to rely on the bank to dispute the credit card charge (after I sent a message to the president's office -- we had issues with the bank and the credit card too, this is a whole other story though). The ONLY reason we finally heard from billing was because the BANK reversed the charge on the credit card. It was such a simple error. This is how the exchange should have gone two months ago: Us: "Hi A-Shed, you charged the wrong credit card, could you reverse it and charge the correct card? You can see the previous installment was already charged to the correct card on file with you guys." A-Shed: "Oh, sorry about that, you're right. The previous installment WAS charged to the card you authorized. No problem, we'll reverse it and recharge it. Will that work?" Us: "That's great, and great work on the garage by the way." Instead, we will never use A-Shed again because billing wanted us to pay the FEES associated with recharging a credit card. Future customers lost over a mere couple of hundred dollars when we had just spent nearly $30,000. The work is recommended, but if you have ANY issues with billing, prepare to be in it for the long haul. read more

December 2016 Was in desperate need of a new shed. Did a lot of shopping around and research and decided on A-Shed. So happy with my decision! Ken Siedell was the sales rep and he was very thorough and helpful in designing the shed I needed. Tripp was the foreman of construction. I can't say enough about Tripp and his team. The shed far exceeded my expectations in quality. Tripp and team were timely, professional, and very courteous. They did an excellent job building the shed and did not leave a single nail or screw behind. After construction was completed, I realized I needed a ramp. Again Tripp was on the job. Again very friendly, professional and ensured the ramp met my expectations before they put a single tool away. Tripp always made sure my satisfaction and quality was priority number 1. Excellent experience with getting A-Shed for my property. Yo made the experience painless and very easy. Getting A-Shed built in broomfield county is not easy, with having to meet code and needing a drawing or blueprints of whatever your building. But with A-Shed it was very easy. Yo came out one time, gave me my choices, took measurements and a down payment. With in 4 days Yo called me back gave me a date for installation and said that he would have blueprints in my hands soon so I could get the permit from Broomfield. (I took it upon myself to get the permit because of special circumstances) Thanks for the painless experience Yo, and A-Shed. The installation was quick and easy as well. The two young men showed up took one look at where the A-Shed was to be set, and got to work. They knew exactly what they were doing. They made it look so easy and effortless. I would recommend A-Shed to anyone. read more

A Shed built a large building for me using substandard roof decking and the roof is framed incorrectly according to the Home Inspectors that have looked at it. The roof is sinking at the ridge and the decking is warping under the shingles. This makes it impossible to sell my home. It has cost me 20K so far and will cost another 10K to replace the entire roof including the substandard framing. They have refused to make any correction. read more

Ordered a small shed in August 2021 and it all went downhill from there. Zero contact on their part. Yes, possible supply issues due to the pandemic mess and they apparently had employee issues, but we have never been treated so poorly as a customer. We made multiple calls, left voicemails, sent emails and text messages to the salesman and the office manager - NO RESPONSES! We were finally contacted by the installer, Jared (spelling?). They came out mid-November only to find that the build was incorrect. They came and left 2-3 (?) times due to build issues. We ended up with a floor and 2 walls for well over a week with no contact from A-Shed. We finally went to the office as we still couldn't get anyone to talk to us. Walked in and our salesman took off without speaking to us and a very rude man told us to go talk to the office manager. She said the crew was coming back out that afternoon. I found out that the extremely rude person was the owner from Salt Lake City, Utah (Sean/Shawn). He followed us out to the car, was very rude and condescending. Blamed everything on "no one in Colorado wants to work, they just want to smoke pot". His entire tirade was all about covering his backside and business. He didn't want to hear anything we had to say about the mess. He couldn't have cared less about trying to understand our position. The only saving grace this man and A-Shed has is Jared, the installer. He was courteous, understanding, apologetic and worked his tail off. The shed is finally complete. Hopefully everything is ok with it as we have no confidence in A-Shed getting any problems resolved. read more

I went to these guys for a garage, not a shed. We had to go through a lot of plans, as their normal size garages would not fit for where I wanted to put mine. I dealt with John, and he was very patient, and did not give me a run-around. All of their sub-contractors were extremely timely and professional (an experience I am not used to with contractors). Everything was done on time, and looks great. I would definately recommend doing business with this company, and I plan to the next time I need work done. read more

They did not properly level the shed. There were screws missing. Yo promised to fix deficiencies but did not. The product is not what is advertised. Workmanship is sub par. I would not recommend this company. read more

I had a great experience with these guys. They built a 20x20 garage for us a few months ago. We had a lot of customizations and they were very quick and very professional. And as far as I can tell, they did a great job. I also thought Emerson was a great guy to work with, I must have had a hundred last minute changes, and he seemed unflustered the whole way through. He also was able to coordinate with our siding company (we had a separate company re-side our house and we decided to have them do the siding on the garage). One other thing: after A-shed was all done, we still had open access to our alley on the sides of the garage (because they had to tear down the fence to put in the garage). It wasn't in our contract, but I asked A-shed if they would reattach the fence along the alley and they did! All they asked was that I grab some bags of Quickrete, and they took care of the rest. I cannot say enough good about this company. My husband has been wanting a garage for the last 10 years, and with another kiddo on the way, we needed storage. We also wanted to able to fit our Dodge Ram, Nissan Titan, and cabin cruiser boat in the thing, so those garage DIY kits were not an option. We contacted A Shed, Emerson quickly came back with a quote, and then we wanted to add some custom goodies. We opted for an odd size because of our property, 30x26. We got the 10' walls, a single and double garage door, and also wanted to put a 6' steel double door on the back side. We also wanted to have some loft space for storage of totes and other stuff. No problem! He had a revised quote the next day. Once the permits were approved, they came and poured concrete on Friday. Monday they came and put up the whole thing. Roofed it in Tuesday, garage doors installed Wed, and that was literally it. My (older & retired) neighbors kept a constant eye on the whole process and were shocked how efficient and quick the workers were. They also always cleaned up after themselves (didn't leave a bunch of nails on the ground and trash around, and swept our new garage floor when they left), which is appreciated. On our final walk-through, Emerson noticed a tiny screw on a doorknob that could potentially scratch someone, and brought his tools to replace it. It is the little details that really let you know what type of company you are dealing with, and this was a great company. I would recommend them to anyone! read more

This is going to be tough to write, simply because I genuinely like everyone I've spoken and dealt with from A-Shed. Still, the whole truth has to come out. So here goes. THE JOB: I had an old 10'x12' shed (built by a different manufacturer) sitting in the muddy bog of the lowest part of my property and providing cover for a warren of rabbits. I called every shed manufacturer in the area, and A-shed was the only one with a crew that moved sheds. The initial estimate ($350...$450 with a rock base -- see below) sure beat the cost of a new shed, so I hired them. PROS: 1) They move sheds. 2) Excellent communication throughout the process. (More on this below) 3) Steve and Sam, Part I: Nice guys, strong and industrious, know what they are doing, great work lifting, moving, and depositing the edifice, didn't lollygag around. 4) Steve basically had to thread a needle by backing the shed on a trailer around a narrow, sharp corner -- must have had a TOTAL of six inches to spare -- and he did it without harming the shed or surrounding fences. I know how difficult that can be, and Steve did great. 5) Steve and Sam, Part II: I thought I wanted to place the shed in one area but only a day before the guys showed up realized that I needed it to be about forty feet over and west-facing (instead of north-facing). This change required the three of us to spend 20-odd minutes moving a large pile of what I would call "crap" out of the way, including steel fencing, a large metal water tank, and a stack of pallets and bricks, among other flotsam and jetsam. They were very helpful, and I appreciated it. 6) Steve and Sam, Part III: They repaired the shoddy work of the original builder and partially reassembled the shed, which had come apart in many areas because the siding was attached with staples instead of screws (remember this if you need a new shed...staples suck!). They re-aligned the door (which didn't close properly to begin with), and they also had to spin the shed 90 degrees and shim it up to make it level. All very well done. Sorta-CON, but sorta not, but sorta yeah: Total price came to $550. I paid it because of the PROs listed above and because they spent the better part of a day on the job. I'm not one to expect something for nothing, so I didn't grumble too much about the somewhat-higher-than-expected total. CON: It sucks to write this, but they blew it with the base. Steve and I talked at some length about options for placing the shed on a pad of rocks or gravel. This was to let water pass through (the shed is still in a flood plain) and to prevent another troupe of rabbits/mice/voles/snakes/ etc. from again taking up residence beneath the structure. He suggested that I surround the shed with a 12'x14' frame to stop the base from eventually spreading out from under the shed. Great idea. And rather than buy fancy rocks/gravel, he suggested recycled concrete, which would work just as well and cost less. Again, a great idea. The problem was that on the day they were to move the shed, the gravel company gave Steve and Sam a load of ROADBASE, which is basically dirt with some cement pebbles in it. I didn't see the guys arrive, so by the time I went back behind the barn to say hello and see what was happening, half or more of the road base had been moved from the trailer bed to the ground where the shed was to go. I should have told them to shovel it back onto the trailer and get what we agreed on, but I didn't. But really, THEY should have told the people at the gravel place to give them the right stuff -- cement rocks, not dirt. Sam told me that road base is great for making a solid, level base, and I don't doubt that he's right. But road base will wash out, and it is easy for rabbits and other vermin to dig through because it's basically just dirt. The recycled concrete Steve and I had talked about earlier would have been a pile of smallish rocks...insects might live among them, but that's about it. I'm going to have to get actual recycled concrete rocks and surround the shed with it right up to the siding and hope rabbits and rodents don't burrow up from underneath the shed. More work, more expense (NOW the $550 starts to really hurt)...and it would have been avoided if Steve and Sam had caught the error early and insisted on getting cement rocks they had ordered instead of the roadbase they were given. UPDATE: I called their supplier, Bedrock Landscaping Materials. They don't offer recycled concrete gravel. Steve could have purchased the cheapest 1-1/2" gravel (Platte River Rock) for just a few dollars more per ton. read more

First class operation that exceeded my expectations. Sales rep responded amazingly quick to all my queries about options, pricing, and detailed specs. When I decided to go forward with the project I was scheduled about 6 weeks out, but after a couple weeks they offered a new install date 2 weeks earlier and I took that. The crew arrived that morning, were friendly, professional, and skilled, and built a perfect 12x16 shed in about 5 hours. I had a great experience all around. By the way, I initially emailed the other 2 big shed companies in Denver, and 1 barely responded while the big company never responded once. read more

I cannot say enough about this company...and my Project Manager Yo. Excellent communications, service and finished product. It was a difficult build due to other issues/factors, and Yo was a true professional all the way through. When construction day FINALLY arrived for my garage, the A-Shed crew showed up at the appointed time and had the entire structure done before I knew it. Great job to all involved...I will definately use them again in the future. If you need a shed or garage built you cannot go wrong with these guys. read more
