Called SIX appliance places and they were the fastest to respond since my fridge up and suddenly quit working. Everyone else was a week or more out (crazy) and wanted to charge nearly $200 just to come look. I don't know about you, but who can go that long without having one of their main appliances working?! So glad Gregg at appliance rescue came out the next day! Within minutes he diagnosed the issue and got the item on order, the next day my fridge was purring like new and at a fraction of the cost of anywhere else! Gregg was personable, prompt and honest! Gregg was awesome! I got an appointment for the next day and he text me when he was about 20 minutes from our home. Our timeframe was 12-4pm and he showed up right at noon. He explained everything thoroughly (including telling me to use WAY less soap), cleaned up after himself, fixed 4 error codes on my washer and fixed a couple other small things on our washer & the dryer vent while he was here too! In and out in about 45 minutes and my washer is back in business! Oh and he left a nice note and magnet on our washer too! read more

i made an appointment and waited around all day for them to show up and they never did. will take my business elsewhere. disappointed. it would be one thing if they called and let me know they are running late, but to just not show up shows me they must not want my money. *edit* In response to the note from the company , I DID CALL when they did not show up and the person said "Oh well should I call the tech? We are too busy right now " i just felt as if there was no urgency no apology until after the fact I appreciate that the owner messaged me a while after, however we were happy with the service of action appliance and do not want to use another company thanks but no thanks. :) read more

Appliance Rescue Service is not closed! We call 1-800-277-5426 whenever our electronic oven isn't working and Gregg's detective work gets it working again. His prices are very reasonable, he is personable and responsible. He has repaired our clothes dryer as well. We highly recommend this business...wouldn't call any other. read more

Gregg at Appliance Rescue has save us $$$ off and on for the past 9 yrs. Love the service this place gives . He has fixed many things for us. Yesterday was washer, fixed free of charge with new washer tub because he thinks it was his fault now that is,service no one ever owns a mistake in the business world that I have met, and with no charge. I like how Gregg explains what is going on. He has even got a gift card out of Stove vent that I thought wS gone forever, no charge. What a unprofessional place. My Maytag dishwasher was under a recall warranty repair, for free, and the place Maytag sent was Appliance Rescue Service. We first had an appointment set up for July 16th, but got a call saying they had an opening on the 15th if we wanted it. So we took it. On the 15th, late in the day, they called and said they couldn't make it, and rescheduled for the 21st. On the 21st, after he could not find our home, as he was in the wrong city he called to get the correct city. But he finally got here, and what a unprofessional guy. First he did not even take his shoes off, and did not attempt to protect my hard wood floors where he was working at. He was going to drag my dishwasher out over the floors until I stopped him. His answer was, "I do this all the time and don't scratch em". But after insisting he not, he complied. Then he fixed the dishwasher, muttering to himself the whole time. Then when he was done, he left, and did not even turn on the dishwasher to test his work. After checking it further, he reinstalled the dishwasher crooked! And I had to fix this! Never again Appliance Rescue! Do yourself a favor and don't call them to work on your stuff! read more

I needed service on my 8 year old washer. Gregg came out at was honest and straight forward with his information. I was fantastic with his recommendations. He fixed the problem quickly and when I asked him for advice on what my next move was (whether I needed a new washer or not) he told me the easiest and least expensive fixes. He was courteous and respectful and left a happy note sticky on my washer that brightened my day. I needed repair on a dryer that I bought from Sears. I first called Sears to schedule an appointment and wasn't happy with the 3 weeks I'd have to wait and the service call charge was very high. I'm pretty sure the operator I spoke with was in another country. Since I prefer to shop local whenever possible I found Appliance Rescue on the internet and decided to call. Their website doesn't look very professional but I liked the one year warranty on parts and labor they offer. I was able to get an appointment in a couple of days, they diagnosed and fixed my dryer in a couple of hours. It did need quite a bit done but Greg, the service tech, was prepared and did a fabulous job. I'm sold on this company and will be calling to schedule maintenance on my other appliances. read more

Very disappointed in the service provided by Appliance Rescue. My freezer has been out for two weeks, and it still isn't repaired. Service tech came out several days after my initial call, he spent a all if three minutes diagnosing the problem,which means he opened the door and said "fans not working, you need a new fan". Five days later he brings a new fan, says "must not have been the fan, you need a new circuit board". He supposedly ordered a new circuit board, to be delivered next day air on a Thursday. Made an appointment to come back on the following Wednesday. He called on Tuesday to inform us that he couldn't get the part. I would never ever use, or recommend These people to anyone. read more

We had the same experience as Eizabeth B with this company. TERRIBLE service, repairman was flaky and unprofessional to say the least- seemed more interested in pushing skin care products he and his wife sell than fixing our washing machine. Diagnosed one problem, had to wait for parts and prices, supposedly fixed that and then diagnosed a different problem. Never made appointments (or even gave us a window of time) when he'd be back, and when he did show up again to finish the job, was irritated with us because he said he had been there and we weren't in. (Hello? We would have been there if he'd told us when he'd be coming back!) We never got a written estimate as promised so we could clear it with the landlord before work was done or an invoice once it was finished. The job ending up costing hundreds of dollars and the washer broke again a few months later. Never been more disappointed in any repair service or company ever, so NO, I DO NOT RECOMMEND APPLIANCE RESCUE!!! It would've been quicker and cheaper to buy a new washing machine. read more

Gregg came out and quickly fixed my 12-year-old dryer. He was very polite, very knowledgeable and didn't mind at all that I wanted to watch the work and ask questions. Maybe I could fix it myself next time. Other repairmen hate that, which I understand, but Gregg was cool about it. He's a neat guy and funny too. I enjoyed talking with him, which I got to do again because a couple days later the dryer quit on me. He has a 1-year guarantee on his work, so I called and he came out to find that his work was done right. The belt broke, which had nothing to do with his initial repair (a thermal switch issue). He could have charged me labor for the second visit, but he only invoiced for the part, which was no big deal. I will definitely be calling him again! read more
