We have not visited Applebee's for many years, felt the quality of the food was poor. Decided to go back and give it a try, places do change. Well, not only did Applebee's stay consistent, poor-quality food, but the service throughout the dinner was also very poor. We entered the restaurant and had to stand with some other couples, waiting for someone to seat us. Finally, a young woman, that seemed to be mad at the world, gave us a hello and showed us to our table. We sat for a while, hearing people at other tables complaining about waiting for a server. One woman got up and ran after a server pleading to get service, she had been waiting a long time. Finally, a young guy came running by, and I do mean running, dropped off a pile of napkins and dumped silverware on the table and left. I'm guessing we were expected to set the table, which was fine since we had a long wait to be served. Our server came running to our table, he was very nice and asked if we would like something to drink. We gave our drink order and told him we would give our food order also, knowing it would be probably another 15 minutes before he would make it back. The prices for an appetizer are outrageous, some of them were more expensive than a meal. We decided on one of the two for, dinners. I chose Bourbon Street Chicken & Shrimp, with mashed potato's, my wife took the sirloin steak dinner with broccoli and mashed potato's. We took the mozzarella sticks for the appetizer, which is included. To start with the mozzarella sticks were delicious, and also the best part of the meal. It did come with a tomato sauce for dipping, which was overly salted, the sticks were good enough as they were. The meal came, I was warned to be careful the plate was sizzling hot and it was, and the food on it looked totally dried out. I cut into the chicken, it was dry, extremely dry, I'm guessing any moisture in the chicken was driven off by the hot plate. The flavoring on the chicken and shrimp was tasteless, how all of those spices could be void of taste, I have no idea. The shrimp were very small, totally dried out and over cooked, I'm guessing they were sitting in a pan in the kitchen for a while. The mashed potatoes were fine, I'm guessing they were powdered potatoes. My wife asked for medium rear steak, and it was done perfectly. The steak was somewhat tough, and that also lacked flavor. The broccoli and potatoes were fine. We did not take home any of the leftovers, I ate half of the chicken, and my wife ate about a third of her steak. We looked over the dessert menu, are they kidding in those prices? We passed on desserts. Throughout the meal, my wife would comment about the servers, she felt badly for them running around, even the bartender was serving. I explained to her that is not our problem, it's the restaurants problem, they were greatly short staffed. It had been years since we went to Applebee's, and it will even longer before we go again. Waited five minutes for the host to even greet us then another 10 for the waitress to offer a menu another 15 before we got the drink, when the frozen drink came it was like water so just asked for water then got the meal and had to wait for them to bring silverware. They charged our card 3 separate times for three different amount's they initially charged us for the frozen drink we never accepted then two more times in error. i went there for half apps around 10pm on saturday night with my friends! we were seated quickly. we got boneless wings, spinach and artichoke dip, chicken wonton tacos, mozzarella sticks, and the chicken quesadilla. the wings were on par with bww! the spinach and artichoke dip lacked flavor and the chips were too salty. the wonton tacos were so yummy and the coleslaw on top was perfect with it. the mozzarella sticks were exactly what you expect and we're delicious. and last the chicken quesadilla was crispy and tasted good! a total of 9 apps came to about 50$ for 4 ppl which is a great deal and hit the spot for a late night meal. definitely worth coming back for half apps! read more

I am new to the area and decided to have dinner at Applebees tonight. Billy was my waiter, he offered me a beverage while I looked at the menu. Billy was very patient while it took me forever to decide what I wanted. everything looked so good!!! Just came from there after having a delicious lunch. Our server Nick was great and we couldn't have asked for better service. I had a problem there the last time I went for lunch, told the hostess, who told the server who told the manager and they completely made up for it. In fact, they went above and beyond. It was late and we were hungry after a whole day of shopping, the only place open late nearby? Yep, Applebees and that's how I ended up there. I had Applebees a few times in NYC and never was a fan. BUT this Applebees was different the food actually taste good and not cold when it came out. My previous experiences I encounter some bland and tasteless food. We had Applesbees sangria and the white sangria. We ordered the customized sampler, I guess their was a misunderstanding and the waitress brought out 2 samplers and I said I only wanted one sampler and she immediately without hesitation said, she'll take care of it and delete the duplicate. They have really great deals if you come during the right times. The appetizers are huge, we picked the quesadillas, sliders, and buffalo wings. We also had an entree with steak and shrimp it came with a huge side of mash potatoes and vegetables. Everything was so delicious, portions are huge that I had to stuff myself in the end we didn't finish everything. Applebees always have great drinks and appetizers, everyone of them that I went to. Prior to the pandemic my family frequented this Applebees most weekends when we came to visit in the summer. Staff has always been very friendly and accommodating, food has been fresh and portions larger than we're used to.
