Ordered online for curbside pick up. The website and the app both say they do curbside pickup until midnight. I pull up, wait ten minutes outside n the rain and the guy just looks at me through the window. No one comes out and says anything to me. The website asks for your vehicle make and model when your ordering so they can know when your there and even ask for your phone number so they can text u when your order is ready. So I call the number on the sign and tell the manager that I've been sitting outside and no one has come, he tells me that they don't do curbside pickup after 9. Which is the opposite of what the automated voice says when u call in as well as the website and the app. He tells me that i have to come into the bar to get my food. That no one will bring it out to me. I get inside and my food is ready, already been sitting there bagged yet no one has texted me like the website says they will do... I've never been much of an Applebee's fan, but for a late night meal after spending my entire day at the hospital, it's better than what you would expect. I ordered a burger, mind you I'm not a burger fan, but I was hungry and burgers don't take long to make. It was REALLY good. In fact, it was one of the better burgers I've had. My husband ordered the burger with an egg on it and said his was just as delicious. Our only complaint? The noise. Literally the worst Applebee's I've ever been to. I am in town for a convention and this was one of the closest restaurants so we decided to order for pick up. The time kept going up minute by minute so we decided to go in early to see if it was ready. Some girl was at the hostess bar waiting. We walked in and another couple walked in behind us. She looked at us then looked at the other couple behind us and started talking to them to see if they needed help. (We are an interracial couple and the couple behind us were white). I had to ask for the other couple to get her attention and finally when she acknowledged us, she acted as if she couldn't hear me. I asked to see where my order was. She kinda walked off without me finishing my sentence and walked over to a corner that had a bag there. She checked it and then went to the kitchen for a minute then checked the bag again then picked it up and brought it to us and walked away without saying anything. Our food was cold. Fires and burgers. I ordered French onion soup on the Side and it was hard on the top and watery on the bottom as if it had been sitting there for days. It looked and smelled terrible. This is probably the worst Applebee's in the Temple, Belton, and Killeen area per our experience! If the place were busy, we would offer grace, but the place was practically empty and the service was awful. For starters, our food was cold! Secondly, our order was completely messed up, and the food came out at different times. Lastly, we waited ten minutes for a sweet tea. Our waiter was new and that's okay! He wasn't the main problem. My wife and I moved the week before Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving Day we were still not un-packed and set up for Thanksgiving Dinner so we decided to go to the local Applebee's here in Temple, Texas. There were myself, my wife, her son and her brother in this group. I decided that since it was Thanksgiving Day that I would order the Holiday Plate that was advertised as coming with Turkey gravy. When my plate arrived there was at best a drizzle of gravy. I asked our awesome waitress Barbara if I could get some more gravy and she gladly went to get some more. In a few minutes she came back and said that they weren't giving any extra gravy that day and that I couldn't even purchase anymore. She was very apologetic but said that she understood that there wasn't enough gravy on the plate and she would ask a manager if he could help. Another few minutes and the assistant manager Dave came literally stomping over to the table and in a curly tone asks " What do you want? " I asked who he was and he then says " Your waitress says you want to talk to a manager so what do you want? " I explained that I'd like some more gravy because there was only a very small amount of gravy on my plate. His response was something like this " We only have so much gravy for the day and just enough for our planned plates." I said that the problem was that there was hardly any on the plate to begin with....this is where Dave got REALLY OUT OF LINE and his attitude got really surly. " We only put 2 ounces of gravy on each plate so there's enough gravy for everyone, I'm going to get you some more gravy but giving you more means that someone else is going without" At that point I started getting angry and said "Sir, you don't have to be that way...why don't you just keep your damned gravy!" Other customers were watching by nowso he said "No..I'm bringing your gravy" then sent out a waitress with a small portion of gravy. No apology for his attitude from him but our waitress Barbara apologized for his actions several times. When the manager Mindy came in Barbara sent her over to our table. Mindy blamed the whole thing on corporate policy concerning gravy portions and no matter how many times we explained that the issue wasn't that they were running out of gravy..its a holiday and stuff like that happens sometimes...the issue was with Dave's horrible attitude. Mindy apologized several times about the gravy portions and no matter what we said she never got the point that our issue was about substandard service and crappy attitude. The customer service in this store is horrible on the management end but great as far as the servers. We went to lunch today after our appointments at the VA center. The server came over ..never said his name...i went ahead and ordered two drinks and two waters. After like 10 min The server told us the bartender printer was broken and drinks would be on the way soon. Which was fine. I wasnt in a rush but it was weird because it was at 1145am and they were slow. Anyway I asked again if we could get the waters until then .he said yes and walked away. soon we ordered food. Which was fine. Still no water. soon after he brought our bar beverages..but still no water. I asked again and then he brought over the waters. But after they left the table i noticed things on the inside the cup and floating. To me it looked like stuff left in a glass when the dishwasher isnt working correctly. Was gross. But things happen so I asked the hostess to come over because waiter was somewhere else and quietly asked (because i didnt want others to hear and it effect their tips since its not her fault things happen)I asked if she could let them know that it might be the dishwasher. She took the water and left. Right after she left i looked over at my husbands water and he had stuff in his along with stains on the inside of the cup . the waiter finally came over and I told him what was going on and before I could finish my sentence (i was also talking quiet cuz again not blaming him) he picked the cup up walked away. When he left the hostess brought over glass number 2. I looked and saw small black particles sticking to side of glass and floating. I asked her and she picked the glass up looked n said, "Those are bubbles! ...I said umm ok and let her go but checked again...nope deff dirty. I was able to pick it out with my finger. Now soon after this the waiter comes with the water he took from my husband. I told him "im so sorry but she just brought this water but it still has some stuff in it,i would let ur manager know to check the dishwasher " But again i wasnt able to finish my sentence before he interuppted me and he said" ok so what would you like me to get for you instead. With an annoyed tone. I didnt want anything free. I wasnt making a scene...i was trying to help and just get water haha.I was trying to give them a chance before someone else sees it. with his tone like that i just said "no its fine thankyou" ...as he walked away he said " Temple water.. what can u do i was in waco... killeen but its temple water"..i didnt understand.was he saying temple water is gross...i dunno. Then after While eating he serves two people a couple booths down and just started telling them loudly they had no sweet tea....they have almost nothing because truck isnt in. The waitress that waited on us had a horrible attitude she was rude she was unattentive we never got our coffee she brought our dessert out before the meal and then informed me the reason why is because she only has two hands as if trays were never invented I do not recommend Applebees after 11:30 at night. This is the best location around to stop and have a few beers with good friends. They have a nice large bar area and the bartender is normally very upbeat and happy. There is also a tv in a center location so allows you to talk and watch the game. The food is off and on ok, but The beet is frosty. read more

My wife and I decided to try Applebee's since I had never been. Upon entering the place smelled amazing! We were greeted for lunch at a reasonable time. We asked to sit at a booth and we were able to thanks to the kind host. The floors did appear somewhat dirty, but perhaps that was because it was nearly 3pm, so I assume they were busy. The table at the booth was extremely sticky!!! Our server Kristen seem tired and overworked, but remained friendly. I asked for a piña Calada, but they said they don't serve those (with a full bar?). I asked the bartender later and she was very kind and said they do but they are out of the coconut mix. We decided to go with sweet tea which was ok, not too bad (I'm not a big fan of tea but I did enjoy theirs!) In the end we decided to just get the wonton to appetizer and then go somewhere else, but they were delicious and spicy! Overall the people are friendly, but the place could use some care. (Cleaning and restocking of items) We settled with chili's later on but I might be back to give temple Applebee's a second chance. read more

Applebee's is just another avg place to go out to eat in Temple. Honestly if it wasn't for their drink specials, I wouldn't come as much as I do. The food is average with my favorite's being the burgers, fries & the stuff on the trio. The wait staff is usually nice unless you get one with no personality. I went on Valentines day & despite being pretty busy I got seated within 10 minutes & the food came Out at a decent time, so they were on the ball tonight. I've always liked this place, but they changed their menu lately and hiked prices to the point where it's not really worth it (better places for the money), but what really pissed me off was my latest visit...my 2 year old was hungry and cranky so I ordered for her first before I could read the menu...$4.30 for a kid's menu corn dog that was literally, and without exageration, the size of a D battery, and was so disgustingly saturated in grease I couldn't let her eat it, but of course you can't put food in front of a toddler and take it away, so I peeled off the breading and let her eat the hot dog alone, which was the size of a AA battery...when the server came back for my order I felt so ripped off I just asked for the check and went elsewhere...sad, they've gone so downhill, but if you enjoy paying over $4 for a vienna sausage, there you go... read more

This location is not ADA compliant. My grandmother and my uncle are both disabled and cannot get up steps or into the high tops located on the main floor. There is literally no option for a wheel chair bound person. I am so infuriated. And the food always sucks anyway. I hope that they get their stuff together soon. Having been to countless locations in several states, my experience here was not what I expected. The hostess completely ignored my wife and I, though we were standing directly in front of the hostess podium. Another couple walked in several minutes after us and the hostess immediately greeted them. It took the hostess approximately 15 minutes to finally take notice of our presence. This location caused my wife and I to completely avoid all Applebee's establishments. We always tip well for phenomenal service and give credit where it is due. However, we can honestly state that we will never again seek out Applebee's as a possibility when we go out to eat. Went here after church on a Sunday.last time I'll ever go there. Had never been there before. As soon as we walked in I knew it was a mistake. This place is old and outdated. We sat at a both, which was dirty, and I had to ask that it be wiped down. I ordered the all american standered burger. When I got my burger, it was just meat and bacon and cheese. " no lettuce, no tomatoes,no pickles, they didn't even ask me if I wanted that on my burger. This place needs to be cleaned, it's just gross. There is ketchup stains on the light fixtures and a big whole in the wall. The carpet is stained and black. I will be surprised if this place stays open another year. read more

I would like to be able to review the food but unfortunately, I never got that far. I went in on 4/15/2015 with my two-year-old grandson around 11:30 am place was practically empty. I was seated quickly and given a menu. Waited 15 minutes for someone to wait on me then asked the waitress that was serving the table behind me if she had my table; she acknowledged me and walked off. There were two waitresses circulating in my area and waiting on tables around me. The people who came in after me but were seated in another section were actually getting their appetizers when I finally made the decision to leave. We were never even offered water. Waited another 10 minutes and left. The same exact thing happened to us two months ago when we went in for dinner service but at least on that day we got offered drinks but no one ever came back to take our order so we left without food.
