Employees are unprofessional. The girl working on Tuesday may 19 closing sat at a table with her friends watching me wait up at the host counter, didn't say she'd be right with me didn't greet me nothing. After 10 minutes of waiting I went up to her and asked if she was going to seat me, she said she needed to clear a table then she would get me sat. I told her she could've simply told me she's be right with me and I would've had no problem waiting but the disrespect of you sitting down doing nothing while I'm waiting to be sat no lie for 10 minutes is crazy. Then she proceeded to tell me she's didn't know who was waiting on me after I told her she could've said something. AFTER THAT SHE GOES TO THE BACK FOR ANOTHER 5 MINUTES and gets a manager.... Most recently, I chose to try and attempt dine in, waited for a server, eventually ordered drinks, and had to flag our server back down to even order food - of which one member in the group was completely ignored. 27 minutes after sitting down, still without receiving drinks, our group left as the indications were clear that things were not going well. read more

They told me they can only accept one gift card per transaction. That is not on the card, not written on the menu, not shown on your web site and not disclosed upon purchase. Okay so I came here today for a date night with my wife. We've had several great experiences here and did not expect to have the experience that we had tonight. It started off great The appetizer was absolutely wonderful and the chicken wings were cooked superbly unfortunately when it came to the burger it fell very short. I ordered a mushroom burger and it came with three little slivers of mushrooms on it and a whole pile of onions I had to order more mushrooms for my mushroom burger in order for it to be done correctly. The burger itself had very little flavor and it was very dry because it did not come with the mayo that it was supposed to have on it, if you read the menu it was supposed to come with a dressing on it which it did not It was completely dry but I did not feel like complaining anymore because I was just too disappointed at that point. We ended up getting water to drink I got two glasses of water and needed a third but it was like pulling teeth to get that second glass there was no chance I was getting a third so I ended up drinking the second glass and for 20 minutes did not have a drink of anything because I guess water is running in short supply in that store. It really is hit or miss with this location it seems we've had a couple of great experiences and then we've had a couple of really bad experiences and this was in the middle where half of it was good and half of it was bad. I would definitely recommend though that if you're in the area and you want to try it for yourself definitely give it a shot your experience could go one way or the other hopefully it is better than this one. I have waited a while before posting this, to give Applebees a chance to do "the right thing." Since they have not ever even contacted me about our bad experience, I thought I would let everyone know about this restaurant. Super Bowl Evening, I ordered two rib dinners. Picked them up in time for the game, got them home and they were inedible. SO undercooked you couldn't pry the meat off the bones. I immediately called the restaurant, TWICE, no one answered the phone, had to leave a message. I went to the restaurant the next day. Manager gave me a "sorta" apology. He gave me a restaurant certificate that expires in 90 days to reimburse a gift card, and eventually the balance was refunded to my credit card. I contacted Applebees corporate number, but all they do is refer your complaint back to the local franchise. They said the restaurant would be contacting me. HA! There are MUCH better options out there than this dump. read more

Went there a few weeks ago gif replace meals. We had ordered takeout and got someone else's order. There was 2 other tables besides ours with people. One had one person. The waitress came and took our drink order and gave us menus. My wife ordered a pasta and I ordered fish and chips. It took awhile to get our food. I got my fish and the plate looked a little empty. I was told me fries would be out in a little while. The fish should have been crispy but wasn't. The whole bottom was soggy and the fish was cold. My wife's pasta was sucky also. Now I've eaten what I could and we were getting ready to go and my fries come. Nice time when you're ready to leave. Couldn't figure out why with few people there. She had to know the food sucked as just about everything was still on the plates. So we had the wrong meals that were thrown out the first time and the 2 replacement meals were bad. I think we are done with Applebees. I should have ordered salads. You can't ruin a salad. read more

What has happened to Applebee's. We used to love coming to Applebee's to eat but we came with our brother-in-law for his birthday and were embarrassed. The service was slow but pleasant. Upon entering, we waited to be greeted for at least 4 minutes. Our server obviously had some friends in another section so she was preoccupied at times. Nothing was explained to us, no specials, the reason for no accompaniments. There was no salad, no vegetable and no bread! The last time I was at an Applebee's, which was a very long time ago, it was sort of a slightly fancy Friendly's family-style restaurant where you could order a beer. We hit this one the other day because we're dutifully trying out various potentially kid-friendly restaurants as part of our breaking-in period in the area. Since my last visit to the chain, they seem to have repositioned themselves as Denny's-with-a-sports-bar-in-the-middle, and not a good one at that. There's a few other chain restaurants in the vicinity, so it's hard not to compare Applebee's to them. They had no salad bar; fewer kids options; smaller portions for only slightly cheaper prices; and the food was delivered at a tepid temperature. The dishes aren't particularly remarkable, and we tried to order what seemed unusual or offbeat for the type of place (a chicken-portobello sandwich, some pasta dishes). The ingredients seem to have been assembled from the freezer, counter, and microwave in randomized order. How can you have a pasta dish with warm pasta and cold sauce in a plate that was scalding hot to the touch? If the sauce is supposed to be a three-cheese sauce, too? (Karnak says: "A microwave reheating of two ingredients pulled from different places.") I have no idea why people would come here, frankly. This would normally get a three-star review, but Mrs. The Crank came down with the trots after the visit, and she NEVER gets sick. So there was something in her tepid food that had been sitting around for a while, finding a little traveler of some sort from some employee's unwashed mitts. Was doing some gardening and decided to stop at Hope Depot for a few things and to use Applebee's curbside pickup The waiter brought out our food immediately. It was packaged well and it was piping hot. We drove home and unpacked our food. That's when the problems began. We noticed we did not get our French fries and we got a baked potato minus the butter and sour cream. Honestly people who orders the baked potato for the potato???? You get it for the butter and sour cream for heavens sake!! I called! First stupid question: "are you sure it is not in the bag?" That makes me go bonkers. I have been there about 3 times over three years to see if it would be "better this time". But was a waste. I did not eat but 1 tacos and about 6 fries. All cold. This was the worst meal I've had in a long time. I had the fish & fries my husband had one of their "bowl's". We both had coffee. The coffee was terrible, 3 creamers in a little cup barely changed the color. My meal was cold, the fries tasted like they were fried in old oil. The fish was low quality, cold & tasted so bad I only ate a bite of two. The waitress was friendly and attentive but never asked how things were or why I didn't eat any of my meal.
