Ordered a meal for $30 with Car Side pick up. Got an email immediately to pick up my order that was already prepaid for 6:33PM. I ended up arriving at 6:36PM. I waited till 6:55 when Applebee's finally came to me asking if I was waiting on something, I confirmed my order with them. Worst place ever. Went there last weekend and the waitress came up to us got our drink orders and brought the fountain drinks fast but forgot the beer. We we're ready to order and I watched her at the cash register cashing out all her tables. Finally she comes over, after 10 minutes, and says she'll be right back to take our order and I asked about the beer. She says it's at the bar. So I'm thinking she's going to go get it, no she doesn't. She goes back to the cash register and cashed out all her tips it looked like and went to give others there share of the tips. This went on for another 20 minutes!! Not over exaggerating either. Nevertheless we walked out. It ruined our night. We wasted 45 minutes there and only got a sprite and water. read more

Most Applebee's I've gone to are cookie cutter. Not this one. We were seated quick which was nice but it took Rachael 15 minutes to even greet us. Then she took our drink and food order. I ordered alcohol, my fiancé a soda. Ten minutes after our order he had his soda and she brought me a water. We received our appetizers. Finished them and I still had no drink. I want to the bar to get my drink that had been sitting there the whole time and was completely watered down. We ordered steaks medium rare and revived well done, burned , room temp steaks. Our server had a great attitude and tried to make the best out of a terrible situation. However, the cooks were incredibly slow and the food was subpar. The artichoke dip was ok and the chips were stale. Furthermore, the burger I had was sizzled in bacon grease. I was not aware of this and found out far too late after my first bite. Went to Applebee's after work with my daughter after having a long day at work, everything was great until our food came, didn't come with the condiments that was asked for when order was taken , then it took 15 min to get the sour cream butter and chives, note never brought the A1 sauce, an additional 10 min to get , couldn't even get from a available table cause there wasn't any. It's not like it was busy, this location on Mulberry Street in Riverside was not busy at all and it was bout 7:45pm, mind u by the time I received all condiments for my dinner MY FOOD WAS COLD.... this was unacceptable so I spoke the the manager cause the waitress wasn't in any hurry to be attentive and obviously could care less after saying she forgot!! Me thinking the manager could make this better by at least taking a percentage off or something at this point, Nothing was done, the bill came and no deduction or percentage was even considered, at this point I wrote a CLEAR PARAGRAPH on our visit and service and mentioned this isn't how a establishment is to maintained and the manager over looked everything that was told to him, and I would never return considering I live 5 min from there, it's worth the drive to travel to Moreno Valley. I was taken there on August 29th 2014. for my 59th birthday, we were not attended to in a decent amount of time, nor were our drinks refilled, but what really made this experience beyond words was that I ordered ribs, and while I was eating my rib, a long hair came out of my mouth which had been attached to the rib bone, when I brought this to the manager he just sort of chuckled and replied that atleast we were certain that it was not his, as he was bald, he did not offer to comp our meal or offer anything to replace our meal, he just took my plate and said he was sorry. This was my first time at applebees, and I would not recommend this location to anyone else. I dont believe hair caps, or covers are used by those preparing the meals. read more

Last Sat at 8:30 my family and I ate here. We were a party of 8 and came after my girls dance performance at the Fox Theater. Our server was very nice and did a great job. Our food on the other hand not so good. My sister found a long black curly hair in her Salad, I found the cheese paper in my onion soup, and my nieces burger tasted really funky. My daughter also found a roach in the restroom. I talked with the manager and told her we didn't want anything but brought all theses concerns to her during and after the meal. She did apologize and these things were taken off due to the fact we didn't eat them. I have work in a restaurant for 23 years and this would not have been acceptable and actions to make sure our guest would come back would have been taken. A discount or something!!! Lol We all left with out finishing our meals and felt pretty nauseous. I literally took two bites of the cheese on top of my onion soup and pulled out the paper in front of my family. Unfortunately I didn't get any photos of our interaction this evening. The food was average Applebee's. There were 3 in our party. We ordered an appetizer (as 1 persons meal) and 2 meals off the endless menu. We had 2 beers each (I had a margarita) prior to our meal, a a beer each with our meal... The service was sub par. Tyler and Anthony were the servers. They have a dry personality to be bartenders but maybe they're new. We had to wave Anthony down to order our 4th beer and I really think it irritated him. We were there saying bye to a friend who is leaving to Nebraska for work because Union Pacific is sending her for promotional training for 3 months. We honestly just wanted a few beers and good food. During our conversation, I brought up the football playoffs and she raised her arms and said, "woo hoo" because the Bears (her team) is still in. We waived down Tyler for our 4th beer. We were finally irritated and asked for our check... total $103. Tyler was trying to close out another customer and having a problem with the computer so we asked for another beer, that's when he said he could serve 2 of us but not my friend who was leaving town. His reason was that she had an "ouburst". We were happy and enjoying ourselves. We were far from drunk and the fact that they singled out 1 of the three of us who is gay was HIGHLY offensive and humiliating, I'll never go to Applebee's again. You should possibly train your bartenders a little better or have a manager available if they're going to refuse service. read more

We came in for dinner on a Tuesday & it was unexpectedly busy. We were sat in about 15 min for a party of two. I was worried about service being slow but I was happily surprised. Our server was awesome & she let us know we came on a promotional night where they were giving out a free appetizer & dessert. The (free) Sriracha shrimp were amazing! We will defiantly order that again & I hope they keep them on the menu!! We got the 2 for $20, hunny ordered the pasta (he liked it) I ordered the All-In burger. :/ it was sooo greasy. I only had half but that's ok because we had the app. & then the free dessert which was a churro style thing that came with melted chocolate & marshmallows. Been to many Applebees over the years, we happened to be looked for a restaurant and drove by this place. If you have been to any of them you know it's generally the same food on the menu but seemed a bit skimpy on portion sizes this time. Staff seemed friendly at first but apparently we came in just ahead of a major crowd (Mission Inn lights time) and suddenly we became invisible. Whatever was in there was pretty good, but maybe ...maybe...one spoonful of chikn over entire plate. tossed on a 4x6 metal plate - who needs presentation?. drinks are poured short and then topped off with ice. Also hear they are told to skimp a beer with an inch of head.. good idea for craft beers where head is floral... but they only had one (overpriced..on happy hr?) craft beer.... so it seems like a way to save an ounce of beer? again... Just seemed like every effort being made to provide as little as possible for the $$.. Friendly staff. I've always found this place great. I'm always seated very fast, service is fast and the servers are nice. Great deals on food. BIG PLUS they do a vegetarian burger in place of their beef burgers. Staff here was extremely welcoming. I came in veterans day for a free meal and the hostess acknowledged my wife and I right away. When we were Sat I noticed a little bit of garbage on the floor and some crumbs on the table. Our food came out in a fairly quick time and to mention that it was packed. The food was great and drinks cold. The only reason why this place didn't get the 5 stars is cause the cleanliness. The restroom was another thing to be exact. It stank like it someone was smoking in there and the floors were all wet I am hoping it wasn't pee which I'm sure it was. Other than the cleanliness, this Applebees is awesome! read more

My family and I come here quite often but today I brought my son daughter and nephew to eat before heading to a ball game. And all though our service is always as good as the food today I must say is a different story. I don't know if it's because I have 3 kids me and we're sitting in the bar area with the kids. Idk but our service sorry to say sucks. We got our food in a timely manner but our silverware came 10 min later. Our drinks were empty and our waiter walked around a kept looking at our table and not bother to ask for refills as he took care of every other table around us. VERY VERY UNHAPPY HE WILL NOT GET A TIP and not sure if I'll ever come here again. Sorry. I love your establishment but I do not believer your customers should be treated this way. Friends and I have only had great experiences here at this Applebee's. We usually visit during happy hour and most of the staff is very friendly. The manager even stops by and makes sure we're having a good time. Better than the Redlands location as well. Nice location and whatnot. read more

Slow service yet again! My boyfriend and I decided to give this Applebee's another chance and it was clearly a mistake. I ordered a Cosmo and finally received it 20 minutes later. The bar had 2 customers so I don't know why it took 20 minutes to make my drink and it was horribly watered down and super lemony. I sat it at the edge of the table and no one checked up on us to see if anything was wrong till about 15 minutes later. I don't get why this place always has slow service. read more

I must say this is the second time me and my fiancé have come to this establishment and have been treated so poorly. We were nothing but nice to the waitress that served us and she treated us as if we were not worthy enough to even be there. She ignored us after we were seated. She forgot to bring me a straw for my drink. Our food didn't arrive for 20 mins. And the people who sat down 15 mins after us got their food before us. The workers here seem so snobby and stuck up. Like hello I'm the one paying your damn salary so I deserve to be treated with respect when I come in. I don't pay you to be ignored and treated poorly. Even the manager ignored us. Grabbed lunch here after taking the Metro in, quick seating, was a little awkward in the bar area with the boys. Just got appetizers for myself but everyone else's looked good. Waitress brought over the check so I put my card in. its another big chain place. I usually only go during happy hour, after 9pm and on thursday-sunday it can be a bit crowded. Cheap decent beer thats close to home. Finger food that goes with the beers. Plenty of TVs to watch sports. its not a horrible spot but don't expect to have your mind blow. Every applebees looks the same to me. I live local so I come often mostly to watch Football and have a drink but the appetizer specials are cheap but taste very poor and today we came to try the 2/$24 special since the last few times our appetizers were horrible.. Well so is the deal the half rack of ribs came with fries as a side about 9 fries to be exact! Then my 4 cheese Mac n cheese with honey chicken was so cold I asked them to reheat it then they did and it was so scorching hot almost unbearable I thought I was done after last time when our waitress was rude and Slow..!!! I used to like applebees, but after the experience i had about a week ago i really dislike applebees. The people were nice, but the service was terrible and the food was not good at all! We asked for water more than a couple times and nobody ever came, until we asked one last time and the girl who came spilled the water everywhere! We also go there for Happy Hour for there good draft prices and munchies...They staff there is great ...Joe the Bartender is the main reason we go...we had played a dice game in there one night and we dropped and lost a dice...He found it afterhours when cleaning and saved it for us ( 2 weeks later ) . This place is awful!!!!!! Horrible customer service, it took 45 minutes for our food to be ready, the waitress never even asked if we were ok or wanted more drinks or anything. When the food came out, my sizzling fajitas were not even close to sizzling they were cold and the other food was not fresh tasting, like the waitress forgot about the food.
