I'm not sure where to begin, there were so many problems. I guess the worst was at payment. The server clicked a button on the list on-the-table-pay-for-stuff thing, turned it around and left. It showed just the grand total. I wanted to see an itemized bill, and so clicked a button to show that to me. Glad I did, it tried to charge us for games we never paid; in fact, we never even touch the thing until after the server set it up to take our payment. So I waited and waited for the server to come back. She looked at it and played with and said she needed to get the manager to come fix it. We waited and waited, and finally the server came back, but without the manger, though apparently the manager had cleared things so we could pay. Whew. The server also said we were her third customer that day with the problem. What? If it's that common just for the people that check, how many more never bothered to look and just paid for the games they didn't play anyway? It does make you wonder if this is just incompetence, or if it's a deliberate scam. At the very least they servers should be trained to actively LOOK for this problem before presenting the bill to their customers. After paying I asked for an email receipt. It was murder adding it--it appears to really want a domain ending in .com, not .org which mine is. But before I could finish entering my address it said "thank, receipt sent," I guess because it timed out or something; I wonder where that receipt went? Certainly not to me. It then asked for my opinions. First it asked if the manager had ever been visible in the dining room. Nope, even when the server when to get them! Next it asked how satisfied? I was honest and clicked the "extremely dissatisfied" button. It then, appropriately, asked "why?" So I started to type in an explanation of all the things that had gone wrong. Guess what, it only allows a tweet-length explanation, I never got most of problems entered, so they have no idea how many things they got wrong. And it's not like they're going to try to reach out to me since they refused to take my email address earlier. And all this was at the very end. The first problem was they didn't have what my wife wanted. Not an entree they were out of, but broccoli? How can you be out of broccoli? They could just walk to grocery store that's practically next door and get some if they need it. Go figure. Since the mixed veggie they offered as a replacement was so unpalatable my wife asked, when the food was finally after a long wait, delivered to our table, for an additional side of cole slaw (which we would and did pay for). The waitress said "sure." We waited and waited, and it never came. Finally we just ate what they had delivered. And after we finished we waited some more. Eventually the server came back, and started to ask about desert. My wife politely mentioned that she'd never gotten her cole slaw, and the server apologized and went off to get it. After we'd finished our meals. Another long wait. eventually it arrived, in time for us to take home. Then, of course, the above debacle paying I described above. Oh, we neither of us thought the food was all that good. The pretzel appetizer was good, though the "beer cheese" we suspect wasn't that at all, but Alfredo sauce. Weird. And the mashed potatoes were good. Everything else was pretty "meh." Oh, and my wife did not enjoy being forced to watch the bloodshed of some sort of women's professional fighting on the TV facing her five feet away right over my head; fortunately I couldn't see it and so didn't have to watch (I did ofter to swap places with her, but she didn't want me to have to watch the bloodshed even more then she didn't want to forced to watch it. Applebee's gets Fs for all of service, food, payment and ambiance. Altogether not a pleasant meal. read more

Erin, my waitress and the head manager were absolutely so attentive and helpful. I love going here and having a minute to relax, or do work while I sit. The customer service is always outstanding and I love that they make you feel like family not just a customer. Very professional and attentive in All ways. I also love the food and don't think you can wrong with anything you choose. The pricing is fair and the environment is friendly and welcoming. I also didn't like the steak because it didn't taste like steak, it tasted like SAUSAGE. I do not like sausage. Ugh. I don't know why we even bother to keep trying. Every 5-7 years we always try Applebee's and it's always the same result. Awful frozen or microwaved food. The enticing all you can eat $14.99 brought us in. Our waitress was super friendly and helpful. The rest of the restaurant was busy. I started with the sweet Asian chillie riblets and my husband ordered the classic Buffalo boneless wings. Neither look like either advertised. The riblets were not tender, weird texture, and small bones I've never seen before. The wings were just ok, too large. I tried the double crunch shrimp. No crunch, all breading. Fries came straight from a bag and soggy. Last time, years ago, I had a pasta dish that sounded good but was cold and half frozen in the middle. The prices are high for pulled from the freezer food and can make for half price at home. $10 pretzels, $10 mozzarella sticks, $10 quesadilla, $7 kids craft mac and cheese, $15 pasta dishes, ect Save your money and go elsewhere or get from Sam's club/Costco for much less. Came here with a friend who said they have the BEST shrimp and OMGOODNESS was she right about the shrimp!! So tender and juicy and crisp with the most mouthwatering spices on top. I ordered the Tex-Mex Shrimp bowl and she ordered the Oriental salad with Shrimp swapped in for the chicken with a side of cheesy broccoli and red skin mashed potatoes. The broccoli was a bit heavy for my taste with the thick pull of cheesy gravy it was almost floating in but the red skin mashed potatoes were good - just wish there was a bigger scoop of them! Obviously the best part of the Tex-Mex Shrimp bowl was the shrimp on top!! I really would have loved everything about it except for the fact that the guacamole on top was not fresh. I usually love guacamole but the kind they used had a weird taste so I found myself eating around it. I would have preferred if they just used fresh avocados. Also, the bowl they served that meal in was really quite small for being an entree greater than 10$ and so I feel like they could have at least added more rice and beans and maybe even corn to make it more filling as a meal. I am not even that big of a girl or have that big of an appetite but I was honestly starving after that dish even with the additional sides. I liked the waitress we had although I am not going to lie that you can definitely tell a lot of the staff there really weren't interested in being there and made no attempt to hide that fact which was very unlike the commercials. This is an updated review: So I went back to this location to see if there was an improvement. I was with a friend and my daughter. I got the same order, The Texmex salad which is my favorite, my friend got a grilled chicken with the side of mashed potatoes and vegie and may daughter got a chicken platter and 3 lemonade for our drinks. I forgot the name of our server which is too bad but she was absolutely fantastic! She checked on us multiple times, asked how was our food and if there was anything else we needed. We also got a lemonade refill without asking when they saw our glasses were empty, they were attentive. Our food was great, the rice in my salad was not overcooked (it was overcooked and mushy the last time), we had a starter which was also good, it was a way better experience definitely than the very first time. I went to Applebees sometime last week and one of the servers there, Susan Fenk (the wannabe emo one who looks like a man), had a major attitude problem. She was so rude to my boyfriend and I. She kept on giving me dirty looks and mean mugging my boyfriend. SUCH BAD SERVICE FROM HER! Hi, went to Applebees the other night. We were seated immediately (always a good thing) our waitress (McKenzie) was very nice and helpful. The restaurant is always clean. However the food was not so good. A cheeseburger on a chibatta roll usually good (right) . But it was cooked to long and was dry. The fries were soggy. Usually it's a lot better , don't know what happened this night because they were not that busy when we got there. Hopefully we will have a better time next time. read more

I didn't need a sherpa to guide me to the urinal like I do in Olive Garden. -The flushing power on both the urinal and the toilet was very solid. -The sink had good water pressure. The bad: -The floor was very wet. I hadn't prepared to waddle through a bayou-like swamp. -It was very basic. The soap dispenser needed refilled. It took at least four squirts to get soap on my palm. -There is only one sit-down toilet so be prepared to make some friends while you wait your turn. Fries were so rubbery I could tie them in a knot .Riblets were cooked way in advance and just had sauce poured over them before they used to sauté them in the sauce. I have been here more than once, but I think I will not return. On this trip Full Rack of Ribs,Steak Salad, and Mack and Cheese with Bacon and Chicken Fingers all was to go (take away). Just okay. My boyfriend and I went to get out of the house and decided they might have some decent happy hour specials on food and drinks. Their happy hour was pretty good, so we got a few things- the mozzarella sticks and the chicken wonton tacos, and I also got a side salad and he got a side Caesar salad. The salad was lettuce, tomatoes, and a mountain of croutons. The ranch dressing was not great, straight out of a container. He said his Caesar salad was okay, but the dressing was the same kind of blah. I did not care for the chicken tacos, they were bland and heavy handed with a tropical type cole slaw. He said they weren't bad so he had most of those. The cheese sticks were the same- blah with bland marinara sauce. Applebee's is always that place you go so everyone can find something to eat because they have a good variety of foods, but I always leave disappointed because the food is boring and nothing tastes homemade. Save this restaurant for the occasional lunch you have with your grandma. Also, the restaurant was very dim and felt like they were trying to save on their electricity bill or something! Last night's visit was a catastrophe as usual. We ordered off the 2 for $22 menu as we were looking for quick and relatively inexpensive. With it comes an appetizer which we ordered boneless wings. The dinners come out consisting of a thai salad for me and ribs for her. Ribs for the kiddo. All of the ribs were burnt and why would we expect anything different? My salad was decent. I have been a fan of this Applebee's since I was a little girl who would come here and only eat their amazing cheeseburgers and layered chocolate cake. I was heartbroken when said layered chocolate cake was taken off of the menu, but now that I'm of legal age, other parts of the menu have made up for this. More on that later. I think compared to other restaurants in the chain, this Applebee's is a little bit smaller than other places, but the essentials are all there: comfy seating, a bar, TVs, and most importantly: good service. Plus, it has the essential Applebee's staple: a darn good menu. (Well, I think it's good anyway. If you like Applebee's menus in other lcoations, you'll like the one here.) In recent years it's also adopted a "light option" menu, which is positively delicious and provides perfect alternatives to things like that tasty but not-so-good-for-me burger I used to eat on a regular basis. Fortunately, steak with shrimp and potatoes and the perfect balance of spices on top make up for my inability to always indulge in my original favorite meal. Also: this place is home to one of the biggest margaritas I've ever seen. Joe's Crab Shack still takes the prize for 1st place, but 2nd is no small feat (no pun intended) and this place is much closer and easier for me to get to. Also, free parking - always a big plus. All in all, I still enjoy stopping in here for a good meal, and I plan on continuing to come here in the years to come. read more

My stomach may never recover from this.... I ordered onion rings, chicken wonton tacos, and a triple chocolate meltdown. My roommate ordered a side salad, fries, boneless Buffalo wings. We had a nice meal and enjoyed our time with our server, Ray. However............. upon leaving the parking lot, I began to sweat. My stomach began to bubble and I knew it was an emergency. My roommate also expressed that she had the bubble guts. Our drive home was 15 minutes and neither of us made it. Thankfully, it wasn't a full on catastrophe until we got home. This was the first Applebee's I ever went to back when I was in my high teens or low 20's. The upbeat commercials were enough to draw me in. Today, as an older and much more cynical man, I'd probably snicker at them and at my younger self for wanting to hit-up an Applebee's so much, and yes with Applebee's it can depend upon the location and what you order. They're also a chain, which makes them difficult for critical eaters to like, but the dinner I had at this location was too hard not to enjoy. The Brew Pub Pretzels and Beer Cheese Dip were as delectable as any appetizer I've had at any independent restaurant. The flaky chew of the pretzels themselves were akin to a baguette merged with a churro, and come to think of it, they would have made for a dream of a dessert if paired with sugar or a glaze or hot fudge. In this case, however, they came with a dreary beer cheese dip (think of glue) and a honey mustard that was tasty enough in a sweet-vs-bitter way to allow me to ignore the former. My "pink inside" Quesadilla Burger may come off as blasphemic to some, but damn when that grilled tortilla cracks under the pressure of your teeth and sinks through the juicy beef, radioactive orange Mexi-ranch, pico de gallo, diced onions, diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, bacon bits, jack, and cheddar, you realize that you're just eating a new, groovy kind of taco. Kay ordered from the Take Two Seasonal Menu and found salvation in her Lemon Shrimp Fettucine as did I when I finished the remnants of it, morsels that were much more flavorful than should be allowed at a chain. Dessert was the brownie sundae's polar, Earth-2 opposite in the Butter Pecan Blondie. Sizzling like a concert with pyrotechnics, it came on a broiling, cast-iron skillet as a dripping vanilla ice cream, a cream cheese sauce, and glazed pecans hung on for dear life. One of those dishes that turns heads and induces envy in others, I relished its honey-smacked notes and dense texture. Jaime, our server, was a hoot, and chatted with us famously as we dined overlooking Cochran Road. Not minding my unkempt appearance (it was a long day at the mine), the manager held the door for us as we left, assuaging our guilt over eating out on a weeknight. "Eh, what the heck?" he said to us. "You look like you deserved a treat." P.S. Behind us sat a party of 3 that we didn't actually see until we left: 2 adolescent girls and an erudite middle-aged man with a rich, baritone, radio-ready, and familiar voice. As we walked out the door, I finally saw the man in question: It was none other than Pittsburgh Steelers legend Rocky Bleier enjoying dinner with his young, adopted daughters. Reportedly, he's a Mt. Applebee's is a chain restaurant that you can find almost anywhere. They do offer lunch specials during the week which are smaller portions but you can pair two items and save money. Each time I visit I'm greeted at the door and made welcome. I normally order the French onion soup and pair it with a salad and it works quite well for me. They do serve it with a bread-stick which I always enjoy Service is good and waitress attentive. They do offer a full size menu and of course there is a bar menu. They have free Wi Fi available and manage to make your visit enjoyable. It's a good place to stop if you're traveling or just want to stay on a budget. read more

Applebee's is a nice place to go with the kiddos. They have appetizer specials during the late hours (10p-12a I think?) and from 4p-6p. The drink special was a Long Island for $6 on Friday night. The menu always has plenty to chose from. I personally wish they had more healthy seafood options. The choice of tummy satisfaction attempts for this meal were the French onion soup and the cedar salmon. The soup was definitely just "plopped" together, as seen in the picture, but the taste was fine and typical of the soup. The salmon was served on top of a potato, spinach and zucchini mix with a creamy sauce on top. It was very tasteful and the salmon size was generous and cooked very well. I will order this again. The restaurant is friendly to children. They have nice appetizer and drink specials. The service has been pretty steady for us every time we come with friendly servers and decent attention. We also never have to wait to be seated, even when it's busy, and our food always comes out timely. We are usually in and out of here for dinner within 1 hour to 1 1/2, depending on hour fast we eat! read more

I went to this location as I had an old gift card laying around, and I think I should've left it unused. The beer I received (Dogfish Head 60 minute IPA) was very flat and seemed to be from a pre-pandemic keg. It was myself and my SO, so we split a chicken tender platter and Caesar salad. The food took around 35/40 minutes to come out, and the restaurant was not busy. Further when it did the fries were both cold and soggy, and the breadstick that came with the salad was the same. Overall the only reason I'm giving this 3 stars is the servers upbeat attitude, and they are I guess trying their, "best" in the pandemic. I ordered from our local Applebee's off of Door Dash. My husband travels a lot and it can be challenging to always want to cook. Firstly, my order was to me earlier than expected which was a nice perk. I ordered the 6oz. Steak, baked potato, broccoli and chicken tortilla soup. The potato was steaming it was so warm, which was great. The broccoli was pretty standard, but well cooked. My steak was a bit too well done to he point it was a bit tough, but it still tasted good. I had my leftover soup today for lunch. My recommendation would be to get the tortilla strips on the side if you plan on eating it later. They had sucked up all the broth, so it was more a stew than a soup. I would use Door Dash again and would order from the Greentree Applebee's again. read more
