Service was great but the food was underwhelming, even for a family dining experience. The four cheese "Mac & cheese" did not have Mac nor did it have Cheese??! It was penne pasta in a sugar syrup and white liquid sauce. Nothing was creamy nor cheesy about it. Pasta was also soggy. DO NOT recommend! Chicken tenders were fine. My wife and I went for dinner this evening. We chose the 2 for 26 special. We chose salad for our appetizer. My Caesar salad was horrible. More dressing than lettuce- so tart it was almost inedible. We ordered the entrees. I ordered the 6 ounce steak cooked medium - my wife ordered the cheeseburger. When the server brought our entrees- it was 2 cheeseburgers. I told her that wasn't what I ordered. She apologized and went back to the kitchen. 30 minutes later I got my steak well done and so salty - again inedible. The server called over the manager and I made her aware of all of this. We had a couple glasses of wine which she took off the bill. That's all she said she could do. I paid the bill- left a 3 dollar tip and left without eating a meal. Horrible food- Horrible service. Music was so loud you couldn't really talk. I will never go to any Applebees again. read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would!! This place served me raw chicken! It looked like it was cooked med rare. Not even exaggerating!! I didn't notice till about halfway through because the area I was sitting was very dimly lit and I was hungry at the time. I will say the server was very nice and apologetic! She said she felt really bad. The manager comped our 2 for 30 but that was it. Of course, I am still dealing with the aftermath. Either way, that is completely unacceptable! BE PATIENT AS THEY ARE UNSTAFFED. However we sat at the bar where Cala served us as well as 5-6 tables surrounding the bar. She did an AMAZING job! It nice to have good service unfortunately that is rare nowadays. Enjoyed our lunch very much. I got the Southwest bowl which was spicy but excellent and husband got cheeseburger which was good. It was a while since we ventured out to a restaurant with Covid going on, but when its time its time to get out. We enjoyed lunch and it was quite nice to get out. We had out favorite chicken taco and tortilla soup. So good and always with a great taste. They moved you in and out but not a feeling of being rushed. Life is hopefully getting back to normal. Been here couple times, so far we always had a good experience. Well prepared food and reasonably priced. We always loved to try their $5 sips. Servers who assigned to us every visit are always doing a great job. But this review is for tonight. We came in here to eat dinner with my bf's family (we could tell they were packed), we were already seated, ordered our drinks and then a customer nearby suddenly started complaining to a server that it's been like 8 minutes and one of their orders are not there yet. The server stayed calm, apologized and explained that she had a trainee, and will check in the kitchen because sometimes food doesn't come out the same time, customer started being so rude, complaining about other things now, and keeps saying to call the manager and that it would be better if the food comes first before the manager gets there. Manager came and he's still being rude and said that he's in to business and know all the managers around here, but the manager professionally handled the complaint so well (their food just came in 2 mins after, while he keeps complaining). I guess it's just one of those days but anyways, Kudos to the team for a very good customer service. read more

Outside of appetizers and drinks, I'm not a huge fan of Applebee's dinners. My husband and I both got Fiesta Lime Chicken 2 for $20 dinners. The rice was dry and hard. Our total bill came to $38 which included two dinners, two beers, boneless wings and a big blue drink. So it was cheap. read more

I like the food at Applebee's and love their desserts. I have had their four cheese mac and cheese with honey Pepper chicken tender which is tasty but a little sweet too. And their hand battered fish and chips which is served with tarter sauce which is decent. Overall the food is pretty decent. The reason why I give this location a 5 stars is because the staff. The serving staff was very friendly and kind. He frequently made sure that we were ok even said that he could get us anything we wanted even after 11:45 PM which is 15 minutes before they close. This location is pretty close to Niagara Falls ( 5.7 miles away) and is open until 12 AM. Loving a mile away from the falls, we did not have a lot of options post 10:30 PM. For a regular sized burger with fries upgraded to a poutine, I ended up paying nearly $25 after tax. I found the portion to being a tab bit too small and the taste was not as memorable as other places I've had. I would say that the seating we had was great, love booths. Haha, okay. We all have that older friend that insists on going to Applebee's for his birthday. It's not just me, right?! This place is run like a well oiled machine; indicative of great management. Every time I've been here, the service has been stellar and quick. There's oftentimes been a short wait, but the line is managed well. The food is pretty meh. I did love their BBQ boneless wings with blue cheese. Those were good. I got them as part of the 2 for $20/25 deal with two entrees and an app. For my entree, I got the meat with potatoes and onion rings. The potatoes and onion rings were on point, but the meat was tough and chewy as hell. Definitely would recommend skipping that dish. The burgers I've had here have been mostly pretty okay when cooked right. All in all, it's A-OK. The location gets 4/5 stars for service and location and 2-stars for the food, although I have had a few things that I've been a fan of (a burger I once had and the boneless chicken wings). I'm sure I'll be back at some point for dinner with that friend that only goes here when he eats out (so if I want to see him, I better buckle down) and hopefully I'll find some more items I enjoy. read more

We came here for lunch and the restaurant was only about half full which kind of surprised me. We were greeted as we walked in the door and seated immediately. The restaurant experience is typical of any Applebees throughout North America so at least you know what to expect. They have a few 'weight watchers' items on the menu and since I've been watching my calorie intake lately, I figured I'd give one a try. I selected the Creamy Parmesan Chicken for $11.29. My husband however, selected from the regular menu and went with the Clubhouse Grille for $9.99. The sauce on my chicken was a tad salty but I suspect they needed it for flavour on such a low cal dish. It was served with steamed spinach (which could have done with a little more steaming) and a rice and mushroom mix. The chicken was grilled nicely and not overcooked. Overall the dish was okay and surprisingly more than I would have expected for the calorie count (460 including sides!). Okay, calories smalories... I had to try his Clubhouse Grille! I allowed myself one bite of this 1120 calorie sandwich (and that's just the sandwich, that doesn't include the fries that came with it!) and it was fantastic! The addition of BBQ sauce on this sandwich sends it over the top with flavour. Our lunches really hit the spot and it was a great place to come for a midday shopping break. read more

Ordered their all you can eat riblets and fries. Foods were tasty, riblets were yummy but didn't like the tons of bones it has. Fries were tasty and seasoned well. Everything was good until our dinner arrived. We ordered 2 for $25 meal. Same thing chicken fingers with fries with exception that the one was going to be add $2.00 dollars more and make it a platter. I got onion rings. Both me and my sister had ice cold fries, onion rings cold and whe I took a bite of my chicken finger it tasted off, not right. Dried out cold. I called the waitress over I agreed to having my meal re-done and my sister asked for her meal be taken off not charged, asked for a French onion soup. She couldn't believe it, apologized and said she was going to talk to her manager Todd Walter's to have the soup removed and see what kind of credit he can you for the awful experience your having. She went above and beyond our waitress Jennifer V but the manager was another story. Couldn't come to us and apologize for the cold food not once but twice. The fact that all he gave us was $10.00 dollars off which was to cover the one half of the chicken fingers on the 2 for $25. Remember i got $2.00 extra for onion rings making it $29 understand that, but was charged $1.99 extra for onion rings even though they were included in the 2 for $25 with $2.00 extra for platter. Applebee's has horrible food and the worst staff. The fact this manager couldnt even apologize or give us more than a lousy $10.00 off. Over charge us. I will never return to Applebee's.
