Issue resolved from my last review. Even though I couldn't make a purchase, Wetzels still honored it was my birthday, two weeks ago

Getting there just after 1PM on a Monday there was a line inside, to the door to place orders... the wait afterwards was about 10 minutes. I love bologna sandwiches and I also really enjoy a nice beef on Weck, so I was happy they offered a mini beef sandwich, still on kummelweck, which I got along with their bologna sandwich with provolone, onions, and peppers on it. The bologna sandwich was flame grilled and tasted excellent! I added jalapeños to it for a little kick, as well as some mayo and that made the sandwich really tasty! I started with their split pea soup - It was really good! It had big chunks of smokey, flavorful ham in it and the texture was thick and the flavor was great! I also tried a side of their mustard potato salad and it was decent, but I think it had pimentos or pickles in it, which I don't prefer. Last up - That mini beef sandwich - AWESOME! The bun really added the excellent flavor you'd expect from having the meat on that type of roll. The beef was tender and so flavorful! They also have horseradish on the tables, so I added a bunch of it and that really made the flavor pop! Service was excellent and very friendly here. I'd highly recommend stopping in!

From the moment you walk in, you get that clean, nostalgic 60s vibe--simple, welcoming, and focused on what matters: great food. The counter service is quick and friendly, and you can actually watch them slice the beef fresh right in front of you. I ordered the famous beef on weck, and it did NOT disappoint. The hand carved beef was tender, juicy, and piled high on a perfectly salted kummelweck roll. Add a little horseradish and au jus, and it's easily one of the best sandwiches in the area. The crispy waffle fries were the perfect side--golden, crunchy, and seasoned just right. Everything tasted fresh and made with care. Between the quality of the food, the spotless dining area, and the old-school charm, this place absolutely earns five stars. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town.

Even Yelp asked me: "Did you like Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen? Your thoughts help others decide."…read moreNot sure Popeyes needs any recommendations. When you Google the "best fried chicken sandwich", this place pops up frequently. Everyone has to decide for themself. To eat or not to eat at fast food chain restaurants, that is the question. I can answer only for myself. My second experience with Popeyes ended almost fully satisfied. Ordering the wrong sandwich, by mistake, left me wanting to come back again. I heard that spicy chicken is the way to go, but I'm not sure anymore, is it really? My Classic Chicken Sandwich was squished, wrinkled and not exactly picture perfect, but I enjoyed it anyway. The golden piece of chicken was crunchy, warm, moist with a pleasant enough flavor. I should have asked for extra pickles, though. To my surprise it was a bigger portion than I expected for $3.99. The fries were cold and floppy again. I love any type of potato. So I traded away some of my sandwich for my partner's Mashed Potatoes with Cajun Gravy. Using the little spork made the whole experience even more quirky. It reminded me of airline food. I should mention something about this location which is truly badly designed. On a busy Sunday afternoon, it was a dangerous situation and very easy to be trapped in a drive thru line of cars or a blocked parking space. Traffic was stopped out to busy Union Road with only one way in and out. The drive thru lane was full, so people going into the restaurant would have to park or somehow turn around in a narrow space. With the prepaid app pickups, the few available parking spots were occupied plus larger vehicles were having big problems with backing out and leaving. It created unnecessary stress and chaos. So, if you see a line of cars sticking out into Union Rd, and you choose the pick up option, I'd rather park at Pets Adoption Center next door. My food was ready fast and on time. Everyone was busy preparing orders. I was in and out with no problems and with an extra smile from the person who took care of me. We escaped with a three-point turn, but it was an unpleasant and tricky situation.

It's 1130 in the morning, and the sign says it opens at 10:30. There's no sign saying the store is not open or whatever. So I walk around the corner and go in the other door. I ordered a two piece meal with unsweetened iced tea. They don't have unsweetened iced tea. I pointed to the sign the menu board it says unsweetened diced tea. She says well we don't sell enough of it so we don't make it. So she brings up my order and while we're talking about it, I slipped my credit card in, I'm not really paying attention. I looked down and it's not doing anything so I take my card out. I take my food. I don't take the cup cause I don't want anything but iced tea, and she has up don't you want your cup. Well no, I don't want my cup if there's no unsweetened iced tea. Then she calls it all your car didn't go through. So I walked back and put my card in, and apparently the card readers is not working, or it's not connected right to the cash register or whatever. So I did put my card in. It just didn't read it. So she moved it to the other register and finishes the order. I asked for a honey and butter for my biscuits and they don't have butter, but they gave me the honey. Chicken was great. As far as the sides, the red beans and rice were terrible. I mean, I've been eating at Popeyes for years, and usually it's a bunch of beans with some rice in the metal. This time there was so much rice and so little beans I was like eating dry rice with barely any flavoring. The service is terrible, the attitude is terrible, the food's OK, but there are other Popeyes in the area. I think I'll try a different one next time.

A few friends and I arrived around 1:00pm on a Saturday for a later lunch and easily found a parking spot close to the main entrance. Walking in, the dining room is pretty big - definitely no shortage of tables or booths. We opted to sit at one of the tables outside - the outdoor seating is covered, which is nice. I was surprised to see no employees taking orders, but instead there were three or four tablets to place our orders. The ordering process is easy enough though and once you pay, you grab a pager that's tied to your order and wait. At this point, you can walk up and watch them grill and make your meal, which I actually remember (when you'd also order in that line too). The staff here seemed unhappy, if I'm being honest, and the interactions with them were practically non-existent. For lunch, I grabbed a hot dog with sweet relish and Ted's hot sauce along with a bag of sea salt chips and a bottle of water. What's there to say, it was a good Sahlen's hot dog, the combo of sweet relish and Ted's hot sauce was great, and the side of chips were good. I didn't want to be stuffed and this lunch did a great job satisfying any hunger before an early dinner. The price for all of this seemed a little high, in my opinion, but it was tasty and I left full so it is what it is! This was a good reminder that a hot dog from Ted's is pretty good! It was depressing to see how unhappy the staff seemed and that there's no more interacting but that seems to be the trend, the way fast food spots are going. But even with that, I wouldn't have a problem grabbing a hot dog from Ted's.

The grill was interesting-I figured it was simply gas or electric until I saw a person loading it with charcoal. Ted's has a typical fast food menu-we only had the hot dogs. Me a foot long and my wife , a regular. Fries are decent but at their price point, hand cut would be a huge improvement. Onion rings looked real good but at over $6.00, I opted out as the order looked huge and I'd likely eat less than half. Would be nice if they had a "basket" which included a lesser amount of fries or onion rings with your sandwich. Hot dogs were great. I like mine extra charred and that's the way it came out. There are many Ted's throughout Buffalo and the suburbs. With a great menu and food to back it up, I can see why they're successful.

The roast beef was fresh, full of flavor, the horseradish added the right amount of zest, the au jus was breaming with flavorful drippings, and the Cajun fries were so hot that they burned (that's how I love it ). A nice young lady took the time to assist me at the front counter, promptly. She was aware that it was my first time in the restaurant and guided me with a generous and gentle attitude. She told me what "most people" like and how most dress their roast beef sandwich. She made the ordering process easy and helped narrow my focus considering I was running on fumes and getting "hangry". The restaurant was clean, inside and out (even the restrooms were tidy). There were a variety of fountain drinks to choose from and the selections were unique compared to other competitors. Originally, was headed for the Taco Bell next door, but I'm sure glad my stomach and nose led me to Anderson's. Next time, I'm trying the custard and getting an extra roast beef to take home. A little pricy but I'll always be more frivolous when I'm getting quality food. Thank you, Anderson's!

If you like her, have never been here before, think retro diner meets modern layout. They serve the classics here. Burgers, chicken, salads, sandwiches, and even hot dogs. They also have an ice cream parlor with so many offerings that you can get dinner and dessert all at once. There is a nostalgic spot back in our hometown just like Anderson's and that's what it reminds us of when we were there. The service is great here. They make everything fresh and quickly. We got our food to go and it was still hot when we got home. The grilled chicken sandwich was cooked perfectly. The chicken was juicy and the toppings were fresh so it gave a good crunch from the lettuce and tomato. The salad was so large and filling and you can never go wrong with their fries. We also got a small vanilla soft serve for our son and he loved it. It was a very good soft serve with a great flavor and thickness. Whenever you're looking for something for everyone in the family, Anderson's is the way to go. We will definitely be back!
