It pains me to write this. Mighty taco is my first love of tacos. As a young girl, I used to be a finicky eater . I had my FIRST mighty taco , taco when they had a location in Dunkirk NY on vineyard drive(how I still fantasize about those days I have gone to this location many times when I have to stop at the Galleria(I hate the galleria ) I ordered four hard shell mighty tacos and a bowlito. The food is hit or miss in regards to consistency . At this location, my tacos are typically not as filled with meat and toppings as other locations , And the bowlitos from here are legit always half full. Half of my tacos were made pretty decent the other half meh. My bowlito was legit two tablespoons of rice, maybe 4 -5 tablespoons of beef... very little nacho cheese and a ton of mild sauce poured on it (like nearly 1/4 cup) This is literally the third time in all my life I have brought something back for being poorly made. I apologized to the man working the counter for asking for this to be corrected which he did correct however no apologies offered but that is fine. (Perhaps some people aren't comfortable talking or he was just tired because it was late, he was not rude though ) I stated that usually these are much more filled (you go to Williamsville, or orchard park, top notch... legit!) but this one was sad. I had a rough couple of days and I wasn't going to waste my calories on a poorly made bowlito..... I needed this bowlito more than it needed me ! I am aware this MT location probably doesn't do poorly financially due to being near a busy area but please send some of your top notch workers here a few times a year to ensure this restaurant maintains consistency. Mighty taco is literally an 8th wonder of the world and deserves to be treated as such! I will not discontinue business at any location but I will offer constructive criticism. I will continue to try this MT as they did respectfully correct the issue. Just MT higher ups, don't forget this location , they need love too!!! We'll it was within walking distance from my hotel. I came in for lunch with very low expectations. The dining room is huge! Seating for 128 to be precise. During the lunch hour there might have been 6 people sitting at tables. I ordered a burrito and a taco combo. The bag of strip chips were stale. The nacho cheese was standard in taste and very warm. Mighty Taco is a food group for me. I have been eating tacos here since I delivered the Buffalo news. This location used to be on Walden and union and then moved by the mall. This is by far the WORST of all the locations and trust me I've been to every one. I gave them a pass during the COVID shortages. Every month I would come back with the same letdown. Listen, it's no biggie but my wife and I love coming a few times everytime we visit Buffalo. Its meat, American cheese, tomato, just a basic taco served inside a gas station but we love them. This trip we brought some home as the packaged everything seperate and the traveled well. I reccomend this. read more

I decided to try out Mighty Taco because I'd heard some good things about their food and wanted to taste it for myself. This location is spacious and clean, but definitely lacked traffic on a Wednesday afternoon. This was my first time coming here, and it was honestly a struggle to read the menu board because the font was SO small. I did like that they dedicated a section of the menu to "Meatless" especially since I was travelling with some family members who were vegetarian. The service was just ok because the cashier wasn't too helpful in explaining what was in the items. We were also charged for asking for the sour cream on the side instead of inside the burrito, which I wasn't too happy about mainly because I just wish they told me they would charge me beforehand. I tried the Super Mighty Burrito with Chicken and the Beef Mighty Taco as well as their signature bean dip, to try and get good variety of what they offer. Overall the food wasn't great. The taco and the burrito both had lettuce and tomato ( which were long slices that had been sitting out for too long ) and the sauces were a bit sweet and smokey, which I didn't care for. I will say, the Bean Dip & Nachos were pretty great though! I liked that the nachos were actually strips instead of triangle shaped, it helped a lot when scooping up the dip and was a nice change. read more

The young man who took my order via drive thru was very polite despite being extremely busy so I appreciated that very much. I got a Mighty Taco and a Bowlito, I got home and my taco was good, made correctly and fresh...my bowlito however was a different story. Unfortunately I had to toss the Bowlito because the rice was extremely hard to the point of being inedible. I get how hard the fast food workers are working right now especially since many places are short staffed so I'll still give them another chance in the future I'm just a bit disappointed right now. read more

I look forward to stopping here every time I am heading to Upstate NY. I wish this chain was available in OH. Mighty Taco is kind of a different animal. For those of you that have never tried it I can't exactly compare it to anything else. This fast food, local chain restaurant has their own style of doing things. Their tacos I enjoy, but they are quite unique and you have to take them for what they are. I recommend starting out by trying the standard Mighty Taco, hard shell, with ground beef. The meat has a different flavor than other places, but I like it. They put slices of tomato, lettuce, and cheese in their tacos as opposed to chopped or shredded. Add the sour cream and guac, along with mild/med sauce. These are loaded to the brim and 2-3 is a solid meal. Beyond their standard taco they do have quite an expansive menu. My other go-to item is the "Buffarito" a Buffalo take on the burrito complete with buffalo wing chicken. This baby is huge and VERY filling, but worth it. Make sure to try the Loganberry drink, another Buffalo staple. Its hard to explain, but perhaps tastes like dr pepper without the fizz, somehwhat a juice but not quite? The staff at this location is friendly, and dining area as well as restrooms were clean. There is a drive thru available as well as a nice outdoor seating area. It is fairly easy to access from off the highway and get right back on afterwards. read more

Went through the drive thru and ordered 2 burritos and a drink. As I drove off I noticed there was only one burrito in the bag. I walked inside and waited in line and told the manager. She came back with an attitude saying she reviewed the camera footage and said that they handed me a bag with both burritos, when they didn't. Basically accused me of lying to try and get a $6.00 burrito for free. Ended up leaving with no refund or food i payed for. Terrible customer service, wasn't expecting that. read more

Alright, it is drive through food so this five star rating needs to be put into the mindset of a car driver who needs food and in Buffalo, New York we have our own special place .... MIGHTY TACO MIGHTY TACO (You can chant it if you grew up here!). This location is a bit confusing but the menu was clear, the call box in excellent working order, and the voice on the other end friendly. When I pulled up the young lady noticed WESLEY (my Cocker Spaniel) in the back seat and there was a dog biscuit for him. The order was ready and yes it tasted good! The Mighty Taco corn taco was crisp with fresh veggies and chicken coated in hot sauce just as I ordered it. The 3 cheese burrito was surprisingly very yummy and again I appreciated that when you ask for hot sauce they add it. Not a single complaint and I am tempted to drive through again for another tasty bite of MIGHTY TACO plus WESLEY might get another biscuit. What I got was a soggy pile of ground beef soaked in hot sauce on a white shell with no beans and no cheese. This place is so bad I wish I could put negative stars. They're unorganized, unprofessional,and just straight up don't know how to do their job. Oh and if you have a door dash pick up there you might as well just cancel I sat in there for 45 minutes waiting for a pick up and while waiting almost ever single customer had to come back because their order was incorrect or something was just straight up missing and by the time the customer had canceled the order they still hadn't even started preparing it and the day before I sat in there for half an hour with one other person in the entire restaurant truthfully disgraceful get some better employees. read more

Personal experience: This is the Galleria-ish location, and as such, whenever I go shopping with hotties (I do not shop with guys, ever), and we stay out late and see a movie or something, this is the location we end up going to. I'll say "Souvlaki at Alton's" and I'll get outvoted by much better looking people and we'll end up doing the Mighty thing. Actually for whatever reason this might be the best Mighty Taco. Maybe it's the nice service, or maybe it's the fact that they stuff their food with more filling than other locations, and more sauce too. It might also be the fact that I've only ever been here with very good looking girls. I'm not even kidding. :))) So this is the *only* MT I will give a 2 star rating to. Chain info: There are lots of Buffalonians that know food, but those that tell you "if you are only in Buffalo one day, try Mighty Taco", or say "WNY has great food, for example, Mighty Taco", are not among them. They are what is affectionately known as delusional, and we would never be caught dead in the vicinity of Mighty Taco. I once heard someone on Yelp describe fans of Mighty Taco as suffering from the food version of Stockholm Syndrome. That would be hilariously funny if it wasn't so regrettably true. Every location of MT is busier than every local Buffalonian food joint I have ever reviewed, and also busier than most other fast food outlets too. That last point is not a bad thing since I don't like national chains anyway, but the former is a tragedy. Buffalo DOES have some good Buffalo Tacos, in fact some amazing ones which have nothing to do with Mexican food, usually served by local Pizza/Wing joints or even bars... but Mighty Taco is one step below Taco Bell. Did you hear me? I said one step below Taco Bell. Yes. I know that seems impossible. Like a contradiction in terms. An oxymoron. But it's true. I thought Taco Bell was the worst food on earth. Until I tried Mighty Taco. It is just...... so..... bad. Please, please, please stop associating this place with Buffalo. Years ago I ate Taco Bell, actually it was way back in high school when I could eat anything and it didn't phase my stomach. I haven't eaten Taco Bell since, and were talking almost two decades. I thought that was the worst Mexican I ever had, that is until I tried Mighty Taco. And, it might have the worst service, too. I stood at the front of the line while employee after employee looked at me and kept walking. Finally, someone left the trough line making food and came over. The food was a poor as the service. This is the first time I've ever had ground beef and chicken that looked identical. You couldn't tell the difference, except for a slight tint in color. They tasted slightly different, both horrible. As for the fajita taco the chicken in it had no flavor and was worse that a bag of precooked chicken from a grocery store. I know this place. I've been to this location and others through out the Buffalo area a bunch of times and I'm not sick of it. I don't think it's worse than Taco Bell and I certainly wouldn't say it's the worst chain fast food I've ever had. That title belongs to Del Taco out west IMO. I like Mighty Taco, I always have and I get it that it's not authentic Mexican food. It's just fast food that happens to be like it's Mexican... that to me is the easiest way to explain it. It has been a ritual for me when returning on a road trip to stop at a Mighty Taco before I return to Toronto. I usually get the same thing, a 6 pack of tacos (Mighty Pack) in which I'll share either 2 or 3 of those with my wife and maybe a nachos on the side. I could easily eat a dozen tacos but I'm about to get back on the road again and I don't want to get too full. The amount of filling in the tacos is far better than Taco Bell that puts like 2 teaspoons of meat in if you're lucky. The consistency for that factor of meat quantity of Taco Bell vs Mighty Taco alone I'd have to say Mighty wins that hands down. The food is cheap and it's basically only local as this chain is really only in Western New York state. So yes, this place does belong to Buffalo but it would be cool if they branched out too. Aah, Mighty Taco. I am not a Buffalo native, nor have I spent much time here at all. However, my better half spent some years here while in school, and has a bizarre love for this place. I must have been here at least 6 times between all of our road trips between Chicago and various places in NYS. It's understood that if we're going near Buffalo, we're going to Mighty Taco. I suspect many a love has been created for this place when patrons have spent the evening (or the night before) enjoying many adult beverages and need something to soak up the booze. Their menu is set up like your normal fast food place. The signature item, the Super Mighty, is pretty tasty. Its a burrito with some stuff in it. Just get one of those. I am not a fan of the hard shell tacos - that tastes just like it did in the lunch room and it was gross then. I know this isn't the most enthusiastic review, but one very positive thing for me about this place is that I can eat here and not feel like I'm going to throw up for the next 2 hours, which is what often happens to me at similar fast food joints like Taco Bell. This gives me hope that there's actually beef in that burrito! The prices are pretty good, and the one on Walden ave has been completely rebuilt and has a drive through. Bathrooms are actually pretty OK at the one we go to, which is important when you make a 850 mile trip in one day. Whatever the draw, I have come to accept and even almost like this place. We'll be back on our next road trip! I may even look forward to our next stop. read more

Oh Mighty you are just not what you used to be when your location was down the road near delta sonic. While this location is bright, spacious, and from what I can see clean, this location lacks the charm of the other mighty locations. Another thing I've noticed is that over the years the quality of the food has gone down while the prices go up. Before my Beef & Cheese burritos (my go to order) were a decent size, had flavor to it, and while it's fast food there's going to be grease. Nowadays my burritos are smaller, lack taste, and grease seeping through the wrapper, it's a mess to eat. It took an HOUR waiting in line to get 2 fajitas and a mighty pack of tacos. There were 8 cars in front of me. They only have one window ; it's inefficient. When I finally got to the window, I could see 2 guys standing around while one guy was running from the front to the back.
