This is a family owned business, which you can feel that welcoming vibe as soon as you walk in the door. The staff , and owners we're amazing!!! Not only did they have to attened to our yelp event , but also there normal daily customers. They moved with ease , and made sure everyone got there orders not only in a timely manner but, fresh, hot , and ready to enjoy! We later found out they were short staffed, but I promise you not one person even noticed one bit! Amazing service! Now let's get to the food.... The nachos were amazing!!! Very flavorful, and you get a nice portion. I ordered the carne asada (steak taco) , and an Elote (Mexican street corn). The tacos are street style. So it came with cilantro and a very well seasoned and tender sliced steak. You can then add and add-ons you would like. I added onions, pico de gio, and shredded cheese. Was very delicious. The Elote was really good also. Just a little salty but over all really good. I washed it down with their house margarita. Which was made with all fresh ingredients!!! I also had a Mexican orange soda. Thank me later. Others at my table had the chicken , and birria taco and raved about this items also. I would like to try the Birria taco , and get more some more nachos next time. The friendly , welcoming atmosphere, plus tasty food is always an a+ in my book. I'll definitely be returning soon! The restaurant is on a corner and if you walk right by, you'll be missing out on some amazing food! Open the door and you walk into this nicely appointed restaurant and bar. The staff was extra friendly and accommodating, extending wonderful hospitality to us! We had a tray of amazing looking and tasting nachos with a heap of beautiful guacamole that was fresh and delicious... the nachos were generously topped with meat, cheese, cilantro and drizzled with sour cream... they are a meal themselves, even when shared with table mates they were filling. Ears of Elote were also ordered and were perfect, cooked and seasoned to perfection, warm, meaty and cheesy! The tacos that were ordered at our table were the birria and carne asada... they tasted so authentic! The carne asada was smoky, tender and grilled to perfection, the toppings were perfectly proportioned... the birria was tender and deliciously seasoned and served with a consomme for dipping.

Everyday is a good day for tacos! Was Introduced to the location via a yelp event. So glad I did. The food was amazing. Located in Kenmore. Met the owner Shannon who was one of the nicest people, along with her wonderful staff. Due to the event they were pretty busy, but still managed to provide great service, and great food. Tried the Supreme Nachos! Name fit perfectly as they were loaded with cheese, beans, sour cream, pico, guacamole, jalapenos oh my! Came to the table nice and warm too! For tacos I tried the Pollo Asado (grilled chicken) and birra. Both meats were seasoned and cooked perfectly. I am not a fan of corn tortillas, but these double corn tortillas tacos were surprisingly very good to me! Also tired the chubby choice steak burrito. This was my family's favorite! This was just a big chubby juicy flavor bomb! I love corn, so no brainer I get the Elote, which was delicious. Also tried the chicken quesadilla, which was so good, I didn't even get a picture of it as it was eaten soon as it hit the table! Cute spot, not to big, but not to small, its a long space not a big space.

Everything was great here! We came here for dinner with our newborn and it was easy to find a spot that accommodated his stroller. The decor was very engaging for a newborn's eyes haha. To order you go up to the bar which is super easy. The bartender was friendly. Everything that we ordered tasted really fresh. I got chips and guacamole and then the Cali-chicken burrito. It was easy to customize the burrito to add cheese and onions. Overall it was a good meal and we will be back!

I've had a hankering for Mexican food recently and thanks to a recent Yelp Elite event, Señor Chubby's was able to squash that craving! I arrived a little before 6pm on a Wednesday and parked along a side street. Parking in and around downtown Buffalo makes me anxious as I worry, I won't be able to get a good spot close by, what if I have to pay for a spot, etc. but I was relieved to find a spot nearby along the street. Upon walking up to the front door, the space has a few signs, but it comes across unassuming. Once I walked inside, I was impressed with the warmth, colors, and relaxed ambiance! There were plenty of tables and chairs and a nice-sized bar to the left as soon as I walked in. A few TVs were on and some music was playing overhead but it was set at a nice volume so no need to shout to get anyone's attention. The women working behind the bar were courteous, nice. To order, I went up to the bar and placed my order with one of the women working the register. I told her I was seated at the second to last table in the back. Since there was a Yelp Elite event going on, it was pretty busy with close to 30 of us there. I wasn't in any rush, but I don't want to comment on wait times because of this. Looking over the menu, everything sounded great from the tacos to the specialty burritos. From the Yelp Elite event, I managed to try the Nachos Supreme as well as a Pollo Asado tack "Fresh Style" adding shredded cheese - Both were excellent! Because they were so good, I decided to stick around and grab dinner. I ordered their "Chubby Quesadilla": 12" tortilla stuffed with melted shredded cheese and a protein, which I went with their Polo Asado since I loved the flavor of it from the taco I had earlier, and it comes served with a side of sour cream and pico de gallo. This quesadilla was excellent all around! The tortilla was heated to perfection, melting the metric ton of cheese inside and there was a generous amount of grilled, seasoned chicken breast in each of the four pieces. I'll be honest, I had a tough time getting the pico de gallo onto my quesadilla but I devoured the sour cream and drizzled their Salsa de Arbol on top for some sweet, spicy flavor (be warned, the Salsa de Arbol is pretty hot, but not the hottest salsa at Chubby's...). Next time, I'm going to add the fajita veggies to it to take the quesadilla to the next level! I felt this was a nice size and filling, albeit I'd probably pair it with chips and quacamole, or perhaps pico de gallo/salsa, and a cold beer to make a "balanced" meal. :D As of February 2026, the Chubby Quesadilla with Pollo Asado was $13, which I think is an incredible value, especially with how much food it was and how high quality the ingredients are. Looking at the rest of the menu, I thought the prices were very affordable, nice to see reasonable prices in 2026. I'm pretty impressed with Señor Chubby's! Friendly customer service, a relaxing atmosphere, fresh and high-quality ingredients, affordable prices, not much more I can ask for. I've found my spot when I need to satiate my craving for Mexican food in the future!

    The Drip Burrito

We were in the area for a night out, and we stumbled upon Senor Chubby's. It stands out with the lighting and decoration, so we gave it a shot. We grabbed a table and ordered food from the bar. It had a local crowd, and you could definitely feel the love that this place has. We got some chips and guacamole for the table, and it was the perfect starter as we drank our beers and margaritas. For dinner, I got The Drip Burrito and it was unreal. All of the ingredients in the burrito were phenomenal, but the homemade Birria was out of this world. It came with a consommé that was so good I could drink it. Everyone else at the table finished their plates clean. Between the quesadillas, tacos, and bowls, you can't go wrong. I'm new to the Buffalo area, and I rarely ever give a review. But Senor Chubby's has to be my go to place for authentic Mexican food while I'm here. Between the location, the charm, the staff, and more importantly the food, I can't imagine going anywhere else. The chef came out to greet us and the staff there couldn't be any nicer. If you're looking for an authentic meal at a down to earth local spot, Senor Chubby's is the place to be.

We've been meaning to get here since the opened a few months ago, and we finally made time. This authentic feeling "taco shop" was just what we needed on our Friday night. You order at the counter and grab a seat to wait for your food. A great selection of beverages including authentic Mexican Coca Cola and a wide array of Jarritos flavors. We started with chips and salsa and an order of elote. The corn was superb! A full ear that was so perfectly covered in flavor. The chips and pico were great and we tried all three salsa that were at the serve yourself counter. A great varying spread of heat. Andy had the Pineapple Express burrito which he found so filling that he didn't eat the chips that came with it, and said it could only be described as "pineapply delicious." I got a taco plate, trying the carne asada, al pastor (that pineapple salsa just hits,) and the Birria which was tender, so juicy, and just amazing. We will definitely be back! Welcome to the neighborhood Senor Chubbys! This is a great addition!

Wow. Considering they are just in a soft open right now I cannot wait to see the full menu. From the wonderful welcome in, to the great conversation with the front staff to the amazing transformation they've made from what this space used to be like - wow again. Very impressive and again - they're just getting started! Now let's talk about the food - made to order, fresh ingredients, GLUTEN FREE FRIENDLY!!! Vegetarian and some Vegan options - yum! We had a build your own burrito bowl and two tacos - the beef was fantastic- tasty and tender, the el pastor was cooked and spiced perfectly. Reasonably priced and very accommodating on substitutions. We also enjoyed a Mexican Coca Cola. The music was fun and the disco ball is a fantastic addition. Can't wait to go back!! Chipotle who?!?!

Ordered the nachos, carne asada taco, and the chori-chicken burrito. Everything was fantastic! Service was very quick. Cool atmosphere. I will definitely be back.

Another gem in the village of Kenmore. We came in for their soft opening, and we're already overly excited. The menu contains all your favorites, including tacos, burritos, nachos and quesadillas, with delicious elote and a generous list of build your own toppings at no extra charge. This place has VALUE, with everything made from scratch, loaded with layers of flavor. They plan to expand the menu, get the bar open (pending liquor license), and decorate inside some more, but the solid bones of a great taco bar are in place. This is a friendly, delicious spot to hang with friends at their generously sized bar and table set up, with almost every inch having a view of TV should your favorite football, hockey, or soccer team be playing. You must try it!

We stopped by Senor Chubby's for their soft open and everything was sooo good! They are well on their way to becoming a must-try street taco joint in Kenmore. The food was fantastic. We tried the elote street corn and the birria, Al pastor, and chorizo tacos and all 3 were fantastic. I can't wait to see what else they end up adding to the menu. They've done a lot of work to the place since the last restaurant was there and it's looking really nice. I can't wait to come back!

I came here with some family who were visiting from out of town. We wanted somewhere that everyone could eat at since we have omnis, GFs, and vegans. Love that there were options for everyone. However, my partner and I ordered the guacamole azteca which came out with cheese clearly on it and mixed in. I asked the server immediately if it was cheese and he said no, they would never put cheese in it. I had my doubts but thought perhaps it could be finely minced garlic. So we started eating. About halfway through we hit a pocket of unmixed cheese and I stopped eating. Asked the server a second time who denied it was cheese. He claims he also asked in the kitchen and they assured him it wasn't cheese. Well, it was- I got sick that night. My vegan dinner was small- no rice or beans. Just two sad little enchiladas with very little filling. There was a pile of iceburg lettuce next to them with a small scoop of pico. But all in all, the meal is NOT worth the price. The vegan options were the same price or more than the meat options, but came out with half the food on the plate. I felt this meal deserved only 1 star, but the fact that there were vegan options on the menu bumped it up to 2 stars. I will not be going back, I would much rather eat elsewhere in a more quiet atmosphere where the servers and kitchen staff KNOW what they put dairy in.
