On Thursday, August 12th, my wife and I came into Applebees at around 8:30pm. The food was excellent as always. Our concern with the experience was we were still eating our meal when our waitress and another waitress started pulling chairs from tables so they could sweep the carpet. At one point, they had chairs all around our table, like we werent even there. And they were busy talking and visiting which caused them to stop the cleaning process while we were still trying to enjoy the dinner. Is Applebees in such a hurry to close their store, the customers have to try and eat a meal with all of this going on? It made us feel like we needed to get out now! read more

We went on a double date night and it was amazing the food was great the service was great and did an amazing job well done.

Carlie was very rude and should be fired. Purposefully walked away while I was ordering. Got an attitude after I pointed out that we should get free appetizers because she did not offer our table special drinks. Just overall a bad person. read more

We were in tonight for dinner. The food was good. But, it was very cold in the restaurant! People around us were complaining about it as well. Others kept coats and hats on. Please adjust the temperature or fix the furnace. read more

Hi! If you were the nice waitress at the Coldwater Applebee's with the name "Morgan" who had to deal with my mom being a bit of a Karen over tables and wait time I really apologize. I didn't get to vocalize it in the store before we left. read more

The food is completely average if youve ever eaten at an applebees in your life, you will understand what i mean. The real joy here is the small town charm. The servers and management actually seem to care. Of the "quite a few times" ive eaten here, i can safely say i have never had a bad experience. Even if they are busy, in my experience the servers legit try to make you happy. I will eat here again to be sure. read more

Ordered takeout a while back, there were 3 of us eating, we all had pasta and the noodles were dry, there were NO TOPPINGS, just the chicken and noodles. Was not good, and was disappointed. Have not gone back since. read more

They waitress took over an hour to even get us our food we sat for a solid half hour once we got there waiting for only water we saw her several times talking to other employees she walked past our table several times then when we got our food she wasn't even the one to give us our food she was rude and I honestly would have rather we gone to taco Bell at least everybody there is polite I won't ever go back to this Applebee's again read more

Stopped for lunch the waiter was polite fast and courteous. Food was delicious. We definitely will visit this place again. Sports bar-type ambiance. read more

Worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant! Waitress was new, we were patient. Food was ordered wrong, we waited for the right sides. Steaks came back out and were well-done.(we ordered medium) after all was said and done the manager gave us a couple free vouchers, a sundae and mozzarella sticks, and 10% off.. What a joke! We choked down the food and waited another 10 minutes for our bill which was still almost $60. And we were still charged for a shrimp Parmesan topping that we didn't receive! Don't go to Applebee's in coldwater!!! read more

12 noon three adults and a one year old walk in. 10-15 min wait . Why you have LOTS of empty tables . We wait. 4 guys walk in because they could sit at the high top tables they had no wait. Women and child walk in no wait . I asked why? There was only two of them. Well we walked out and they didn't care. The two guys working up front just kept on talking instead of helping us . Won't be back to this one. read more

Our server didn't bring my child's drink had to ask hostess passing by. Then they didn't bring out one of our appetizers until we were done eating after asking 2 times. The wings were supposed to be plain with sauce on side well they were covered in sauce my son won't eat sauce. Horrible experience read more

Three strikes you're out. I've generally enjoyed Applebee's in most other states I've been to but the Coldwater MI Applebee's is officially off my list. Service was HORRIBLE everytime I've been here and this last time took the cake. Literally 25 minutes after I ordered baby back ribs the waitress came out to inform me they didn't have any left. Disappointed I asked for a steak instead. 5 minutes later she came back to say that they now have the ribs but they might not be very good because they just went in the steamer...ok??? At this point I was losing my patience and said just bring me a good steak. Not even 5 minutes after all that she brings the gentleman behind me baby back ribs!! Are you kidding me!? I finally got my steak after waiting an hour and will say it was satisfactory. However, the service is horrible. Will never go back there. read more

Horrible service. Ordered here twice and both times, the food was wrong. Then when I bring it to my server's attention, she says "not to be a bitch, but you never said a flavor for your wings!" So I guess they just bring you whatever they feel instead of clarifying IF in fact, I didn't say a flavor. Furthermore, I should never have to be cursed at, nor told I was wrong when the server never wrote the order down to begin with. I suggest Culver's fast food restaurant if you're in the area. They're always pleasant and make your food fresh! Skip the irritation this place is sure to provide! read more

A Sunday night, not busy, but you wouldn't know it by the slow service. It's Applebee's , can't expect much. The Salmon was good, the drink was good, but that's where the good stops. Guess it's more important for the waitress to socialize at the bar. This chain is going down the tubes. read more

Worst meal i have had in years! Stay away. Where can I start? Food ordered (i believe the waitress was new) one dish was totally forgotten (they were sold out) but informed us AFTER all the other food was delivered. Hair in the fries, steak was inedible and salmon was dried out and tough. It was so embarrassing that the manager finally came over (and did at least comp the missing meal) The whole night was a disaster! read more

The worse Applebee's I ever been to! We ordered three meals that are supposed to be served on skillets, but not. There must have been a shortage of red skin potatoes. They were a quarter of the size of any other Applebee's I've been too and less of them! The only thing right was the beer, and that would be hard to mess up! If this would have been my first visit to a Applebee's, it also would have been my last. Don't get me wrong. I like Applebee's, but not this one. read more

I was highly disappointed with the bland flavorless shrimp stir fry that cost $12. My house salad had more flavor then the shrimp, rice, and broccoli that made up this expensive dish. The shrimp reminded me of a bland chicken flavor. That in itself was just mind boggling when shrimp should have its own delectable flavor. There was a horrid absence of salt and I had to ask the waitress for the stir fry seasoning?!? How is that suppose to work? read more

We're from out of town, here for the NASCAR race. This location was pretty busy, as expected. Service was a little crazy, but they did well seeing as how busy they were. I'd go back. The food was great. They also have TVs in all different locations. Recommend. read more

Just ordered 2 appetizers. Came back. No more nachos, so ordered spinach artichoke dip. Chips tasted old. Ordered steak quesadillas...barely had anything in them! No steak in some! This town needs a decent restaurant & it's not here. read more

After searching for something edible and digestible in Coldwater (where anything smothered in greasy grill gravy rates five stars) we stumbled on the Applebee's on US 12. Greeted and seated quickly, our server James, rushed out our drinks, professionally took our order and checked back several times during our lunch. The food was good: Texas burger on my side of the booth, Chicken Cesar salad with sweet potato fries on the other. James ensured the success of our experience right through to the end: credit card payment on a tablet device at the table. Ample parking, clean restrooms, an easy to navigate menu, and of course the five star service. Super. read more

Love this place. They have a great cheddar broccoli soup. And we're very friendly. They are always going above and beyond what is required.

Good food and good drinks. This is a chain so expect the same. I prefer local non chains but I do like the salad and soups. Good quick off highway location. read more

Clean, good food, and Awesome service. I actually came here for lunch and dinner in the same day. If you've been to one, you've been to them all, but the service really stood out in my opinion. read more

Great place to have a family dinner. We always enjoy our food and Applebee's changes their menu often so nothing is the same old food.

I was contacted by Applebee's asking for me to email them the situation. I did and never received a response! What a joke!

Went in for lunch an the bartender an manager refused to accept a state issued paper license from indiana. That's what they give us!!!! The manager wouldn't even come out she made the bartender explain why she wouldn't accept it! Someone needs a check up on excise laws!! read more

What a waste of money and time.. Just spent almost $20 on a rack of totally inedible ribs. You'd need a crowbar to pull these apart and jaws of life to chew... Will never return here read more

SUPER SLOW SERVICE! This is the slowest restaurant I've ever been too! The food was cold and our waitress was terrible!

Had to wait 10 minutes for a table when the restaurant only at half capacity, then sat at a table for 10 more minutes completely ignored. We left. read more

This may be the worse Applebee's I've ever been too. Went there for lunch with my family today and they completely changed the menu, but for the worse. They removed what I would consider saw menu items and changed the recipe on others, such as the chicken fajita roll up. This particular item, the decided to replace part of the filled with dry cabbage which makes it taste dry and absolutely terrible. The quality of the food is so bad, want to know how bad, go there and order a rubbery steak. What's crazy is that they recently raised their prices too. Many other Applebee's have closed, I guess the one in Coldwater is making it because there aren't to many other options. So, about the experience today. Dad didn't get his food until everyone else was done and they had the nerve to bill us the full amount and not comp any of his meal so we asked them too (and they did). The service was poor, took forever to get drinks and the server lied about dad's burger. She said it wasn't done enough so they had to put it back in for an additional 20 minutes but mom's burger came in time and was well done. The drinks were few and far in between. Just an overall bad experience. This store really needs to be under new management. They wouldn't be able to do anything about the food but under new management they certainly can improve the service. read more

Provides decently fast service and the food I have is pretty good. I've had good waiters, a few were rude at times but it was a rare occasion that happened. I recommend eating there. read more

Not a good Applebee's. When your running low on something its better to just tell your customer that your out then try to stretch it. As a 20 year veteran of food service industry im familiar with all the shortcuts. Number one, when someone orders soup firstly it shoud be hot! And if its black bean it should have more then 3 beans. Steak in soup should never be tough and chewy people can choke on it. So the next time your running low on steak and black been soup DONT! Through a piece of meat on the grill ,add water, open up a can of bean and through it in what little soup you have left, and serve it. just tell them you out.its alway better to give other choices then to serve crap. read more

I visited the Coldwater Applebees this evening, there were 5 of us. I cannot even begin to describe how bad our experience was. I ordered a sirloin, medium, it came out like shoe leather, very well done. 2 others ordered a newer salad, and neither one looked AT ALL like they did on the menu, so after trying to get our server for at least 10 minutes, we finally asked her to talk to the Manager. 10 more minutes for him to come over, he was very nice, and re-made our dinners...HOWEVER, it was another 20+ minutes before our food that was prepared RIGHT came out, and this time, my steak was more medium rare...but I just wanted to eat what I could, and get out! I think you get the picture...absolutely NOTHING was taken off our bill, nor did the Manager come back to check on us, after knowing how unhappy we were. I feel he should have either offered us dessert, or taken a percentage off...WE WILL NOT BE GOING BACK, and my family lives locally, and USED TO BE loyal customers. Step up your game Coldwater Applebees! read more

Applebee's green bean Crispers are great ever though they have a high points plus value. Their small steak and broccoli are very good.

Always a solid place for a great meal. The carside option is always a great "we don't feel like cooking" night option, and how can you not love the 2 for $20? read more
