I used to love this place but it's really gone down hill. I ordered the new California Grilled Chicken Salad. It was horrible, it had hardly any chicken in it & it was drenched in dressing. I wouldn't recommend that to anyone. The service was no so good either. We waited almost 10 minutes for silverware while our food sat in front of us. Waitress was forgetful. Greens/avocado = mushy - chicken looked like leftovers as it was chopped up into tiny pieces as was the very salty bacon - balsamic glaze was bitter. If Applebees cares about its brand at all, shut this franchise down immediately. We arrived at 7:15 on a Friday night and were told a 15 minute wait, with one party in front of us. After 45 minutes, despite at least 5 tables leaving, no one had been seated. It was then, a server came out to tell all the parties waiting that they would not seat anyone for at least another hour because the kitchen was at least an hour behind. Making matters worse, no staff member was remotely apologetic. In fact, the apathy from the three staff members near the entrance was palpable. We came during a Friday evening rush hour and were able to self-seat in the bar. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive! The food and drinks came out fairly quickly. The pumpkin harvest beer (I don't remember the actual name) was GOOD. I have been craving the Oriental Chicken salad for a loooooong time and couldn't wait to finally cash in. I don't know what they've done to change it over the years, but it wasn't the way I remember it. Just not as good. That weird breadstick they serve it with now doesn't need to be there either. This was a horrible experience. Everything was well in the beginning. 30 mins later our party of 6 got 5 meals (one guest still missing their meal). Add ten more minutes (40 minutes later) and one person in our party still hasn't received their meal. They only got a house salad. A burger, mozz sticks and two orders of boneless chicken wings came out before a HOUSE SALAD. This is absurd. A salad is easy. The waitress barely attended to us. I asked for honey mustard and it took 20 minutes. The manager didn't seem to care at all. She said she will comp the salad. Whoopee, because our guest never ate it. Our party should have gotten more of a disclunt because we waited patiently to eat until all of the food was at the table. All of our food got cold waiting for a salad that never came. Applebee's has gone down hill and it has been like that since the past 6 years. The chain is over. Time to review the game plan. The service is horrible and you aren't treated with respect. After I got the honey mustard the waitress threw the plate of honey mustard on the table. The waitress' name is Cieara. Its ridiculous how horrible the service is. Something needs to change here. I'm not sure about every other location, but the Camden Apple Bees have really gone down hill. The last time i got a Quesadias, which were my favorite, i found out they no longer come with sour cream spread, lettuce, or the red salsa, but some nasty green stuff. They were also much smaller. Also recently my mother was given a gift card for Apple Bee's, so we went there, got the 3 course meal options and found they cut the portions you get substantially, so it still doesn't feel like a deal. It was especially noticeable with the boneless honey BBQ chicken and Mozzarella sticks. One less resteraunt i go to now. I give it 3 stars because the staff was at least very nice read more

Good evening, I went to have dinner at your Camden Delaware location because it is the most convenient accompanied by my family. We asked for our food that included a two for $25 meals that were a 6oz. and 8oz. steaks. Both steaks were overdone and cold although we had asked for them to be cooked medium-well. My daughter asked for boneless wings with barbecue sauce. This food was also cold. My other daughter ordered a super kids meals with shrimp. Her shrimp appeared over cooked as well. I complained to the waitress and she discussed it with the shift manager who asked if I had eaten the steak and she did not even bother to visit our table. They offered to give a $10.00 discount. However, I did not eat the meal. Therefore, it should have been removed from my ticket. I will not recommend this restaurant due to the lack of service and ill prepared food. Only saw my waitress one time and that was for her to take my order. Ask the manager for my bill, he got it and slammed it on the table and walked away while mumbling under his breathe. This place is the absolute worst. Sever took 45 minutes to get us a salad and then no utensils. Yet her boyfriend who was sitting at the table next to us got several apps and an entree before we could even get a single salad and he got to the restaurant after us. I told her "u don't throw f***ing knives and take care of ur bf the whole time while ignoring customers so say goodbye to ur tip". The manager then tells us to leave for being rude to his waitress and telling her we were going to refuse to pay (complete lie, waitress is mad because she just is not getting a tip). You don't kick customers out who wait 45 minutes for a salad, have steak knives thrown at them for a salad (with no other utensils), and have to deal with a waitress who thinks it's ok to ignore her job and customers and just take care of her s/o and then lie to management just because u r mad about ur crappy service not receiving a tip now. Horrible experience. I asked to talk to the manager and first of all it took her 25mins to get to us, and when she did get to us she was extremely rude. She laughed at our concerns and when she took my food back to change it to what I asked for it took 30 mins to get it back!! I think her name was Julia or something, but she's extremely rude and should not be a general manager... wish Rich was back, the restaurant was ran so much smoother with him. Also the servers are extremely unprofessional. They stand around talking and messing around instead of being in the back waiting for food to be up, you can hear the people in the back setting up their food yelling their names to come get the food and take it out... There's nothing particularly wrong with this place except it's a chain. I'm very very biased because I hate chains. They buy food frozen in bulk open up a bag throw it in the oven and charge you 14.95. The server was really nice. We had a gift certificate, and so we really didn't pay for our meal so we tipped him 20 bucks. He tried to return it, but said something about him and his character. We had to explain that it was his tip. I always figured that if I got a free meal I might as will tip the server really well. There was a sensation that we were slightly rushed, and I'm sure that's because the servers have to flip tables really quickly to make any money. And at the end she charged me for a game i didn't buy and she had an attitude when I asked her to fix it.
