The best part about applebees is they play the applebees song for you and crank it up. Otherwise, you will probably leave hungry and/or disappointed. I didn't have high hopes for applebees and it met the low hopes. The service was okay but I asked for water twice and only got water from a food runner by asking the third time. The food came out fast and the drinks were drinks, however, I expected the quesadilla burger to be more of a spectacle. We really screwed up by not ordering a deal or discount because somehow we spent over $50 for dinner for two at---applebees. Everything we ordered today except for one full rack of ribs tasted like it was day old and reheated in a microwave, YUCK.

***Updated*** After an excellent conversation with the location manager Christin my wife and I returned to the Batavia location to give it one more chance. We both got the grilled chicken with French fries and steamed broccoli with French onion soup on the side. It was perfect and our waitress Lisa was on the ball, friendly, professional and quick to make sure our glasses were full. I was impressed by both the excellent ticket times, professionalism and the lack of issues I noted in my original review. Was told an effort would be made by the location manager to review my experience and discuss it via a Corporate office representitive. Thus far no real contact effort seems to have been made. Disappointing. Honestly this location could easily get another star if professionalism amung servers was observed a little more thoroughly. For example: During our meal an off duty waitress was having a VERY off color conversation with her on duty colleague that my Wife and I really DIDN'T need to hear, nor did our children. Moreover the language we've experienced amung staff as they talk should Deffinitly be kept off floor - keep it PG folks. Other than this it's Deffinitly what you would expect from this franchise. Went for dinner and waitress gave horrible service didn't check up on us not once. Asked for water and did the get it until dinner came. Overall the service was horrible the food took forever to come out. Waitress messed up our appetizer and we didn't have our drink until 15 minutes. I normally don't care for chains or Applebee's I know everything there is precooked. We were very hungry and stopped at the first place we drove by. The restaurant was very busy but we didn't have to wait for a table. Service was quick and friendly. We ordered off the 2 for $20 menu. I started with the salad very fresh and it was a very good size plate. For my entrée the Fiesta Lime Chicken, it had great flavor just not sure how healthy it was. I always say that a balance between the pricing and food quality is important, so when reviewing Applebees I keep in mind that their prices are super low, so I am OK with not getting a service of 3 Micheline stars restaurant. What I did get here is friendly service on the eyes looking level, good food and a very good vibe. So here is 5 stars to a place that might not be perfect, but still better then many. I wouldn't give Apple B's any B's on exams. Nor C's nor D's. They would only get F's from me. Applebees is easily my least favourite chain in the country, and apart from a few locations that have given me wonderful service, I always end up giving them a 1 because their food gives me the willies or the sh*ts if you prefer. It's not a coincidence that most locations have very low star ratings on Yelp. This one is the second-closest to my place, and since I do a lot of recording in Batavia (my ex-producer and production assistant lives there), I've been here several times, but never reviewed it. I want to emphasize that I've only ever been dragged here. I've tried their awful ribs, their famous (overpriced) appetizers, the nachos... I find it all repulsive. I pick at it when I'm hungry if I'm forced to go here, and I'm dismayed at how many of my friends (and my producer) think Applebees is the bomb. He doesn't even have kids... I don't get it. Finally after waiting 15 minutes to have someone take drink order I have to ask the hostess to find someone take care of us. Hadn't been to Applebee's in literally years after what seemed like bad experience after bad experience, but we decided to give it another shot because we were hungry and didn't know where else to go that was relatively close to home. We were seated quick and our waitress was nice but the food was not impressive and I remembered why we hadn't been back in a while. It's the daughter's birthday today so we decided to come here with some friends for a birthday lunch. Walked in and the hostess had an attitude from the start. It was almost like it was an inconvenience when we showed up with 8 people (the place was not busy either). Everything she said was mumbled under her breath and she looked miserable. I've taken my family to many Applebees and this one just radiates bad management. When the food finally came, it was just ok. The wait after being seated was around 5 minutes or more and the restaurant was empty. The place had opened about and hour prior and the place wasn't all that clean. There are better places to eat out with your family in the area. I have eaten here other times and those experiences were positive mostly and when I've ordered curbside to go, they were very tentative and prompt. First visit to this Applebee's, it was great. We were seated immediately on a Friday at7:00 pm. Our waitress Hannah was fabulous. She made sure we had refills, checked on use every time she was going by headed back to the bar or kitchen. The food was delicious. Steak cooked perfectly, another's bourbon chicken and shrimp was excellent. And another's entire was the fish fry (fish and chips) was fantastic. I only give four stars because the front restaurant staff showed irritation when I asked if we could have a high chair by rolling eyes, sighing impatiently and finally explained that the didn't have and tables that would that a high chair. Went to Applebee's with family extremely disappointed food quantities were ridiculous. Got a bowl of tomato soup smaller bowl than they used to be only half full could not fill a coffee cup with that amount of soup. Three of us got chicken salads not enough lettuce and a plate to have covered the saucer plate you have got to be kidding.
