We went out for a birthday dinner here this week and it was great. Our server was so attentive and took care of us from start to finish. This is classic pub grub and has that hometown bar vibe. It's very cozy and makes you feel some nostalgia for the old school bar scene. I got the Batavia Special which consists of a Beef on Weck, fries and then five wings however you'd like. It's the ultimate combination of a WNY meal. Wings, Weck, and fries are staples and to have them in one meal, is great. We also had a wedge salad which was delicious as well. Would love to come back here for more wings. The wings are cooked perfectly with a good amount of crisp and crunch. Not to mention they are sauced well too. Don't even think about ordering the shrimp scampi at T.F. Brown's! How could a supposedly-Italian restaurant that used to be the famed Mancuso's Restaurant so completely botch a recipe as simple as shrimp scampi? It was truly the most awful scampi I've ever had at any restaurant. The pasta was way over-cooked. There was no seasoning of any kind on the dish. And there were just a few puny overcooked, unseasoned shrimp. The dish was virtually tasteless and there was no presentation - it was just heaped haphazardly on the plate. I still regret not sending it back. No person should ever have to each such bad food at any restaurant, particularly one with the credentials of being formerly Mancuso's! On the positive side, our waitress was super nice and did a great job trying to serve our large party. That's the only positive thing I have to say about this restaurant. read more

Recently visited for the first time for trivia night. I punched the address into my GPS, and it had me park behind a building next door. Because this place is tucked back, I couldn't find it to save my life. You actually want to park and enter through the Batavia bootery. This info is just to help other YELPERS. Once I found this place, we were immediately seated, and were waiting on a 4th person. We were sat, and probably waited 30-40 minutes for someone to swing by and take our drink order. If we weren't there for trivia, I'm confident that we would've left. All of our drinks (lemonade and soda products) tasted off, and we all sent our drinks back. My lemonade was WAYYYYY TOOOOO sweet. We got water, and ordered food. Food was okay. I ordered loaded fries. They were okay, but those tasted off too like they were fried in old oil maybe? Waitress was nice and apologetic. A hall of fame of sports memorabilia lines the walls. Nice bar scene and plenty of seating in the dining area. Our server Hanna was on point. No sooner then we placed our drink order- bam here it was. The deluxe chicken sandwich hit the spot, but I was interested in their Beef on Wick and Wings, so I ordered the Batavia Favorite. The beef on the BOW was tender and tasty. It came with a side of au jus, but I was not a fan of the horseradish aioli. I like the sandwich with fresh horseradish. The wings were good. We had the Texas Smokehouse sauce. They have several sauces to pick from, but we wanted try something different and the Texas Smokehouse delivered a good flavor. If you come with kids they have an arcade in the back, which will give the grown-ups a little quiet time. If passing through Batavia be sure to check out TF Browns. We stopped here for a bite with 6 adults and 3 littles after a lacrosse game at GCC. It looked as though there was a private party going on. The waitress addressed us and told us it would be just a few minutes while they cleaned a table. We were sat quickly after that. The waitress was very accommodating and pleasant. We ordered a multitude of items from the menu and the consensus was that the food was amazing! Personally, I shared the bacon Mac and cheese and the margarita flat bread with my daughter in law. The Mac and cheese was outstanding!! I would have liked the flat bread to be a bit crispier on the bottom but overall it was quite delicious!! Thanks for a great experience and delicious food! Let me start by saying these are by far the best wings in Batavia. I'm a sucker for wings, and I keep coming back for these again and again. When you walk inside it a regular bar setting with tables, and a bowling alley in the back.( I've never bowled). I ordered my food over the phone and picked it up, because they were packed. They women was rude on the phone but I didn't let that stop me today. When picking up the food, it was very unorganized and that's why I gave the rating of 4 stars. No one knew who took my order, and I was waiting 10 minutes for them to figure it out. It confuses me because my food was done, but couldnt be given to me. Edited to update: I messaged the restaurant on facebook about this, and a manager reached out for my phone number. I appreciate the customer centric approach to resolving this. I've been to TFs several times, and this experience was super off brand. The food is worth the trip in and there's a good chance you will have a better service experience than the one we had tonight. I've updated my review from the original 2 stars to the more appropriate and deserving 4. Before tonight, I would've left a much better review but tonight's experience, my mind is changed. TF's is a staple in Batavia and the food is decent quality and consistent. The Chicken Parm flat bread is my favorite but I've heard good things about the Quesadillas and Fish Fry. Tonight, I ordered my chicken parm flat bread ($8.95), after waiting for a over 30 minutes for our food, what I got was Chicken Parm ($13.95). I pointed this out to the waitress, who immediately apologized and indicated she must have keyed in the wrong item. After having already waited for a while, I didn't want to risk waiting another 30 minutes, so I said that I would just have the meal she'd brought. In between all this, she was never around to check the tables, no drink refills were offered, and she was complaining about the noise of kids in the arcade. When the check came, the $13.95 was on there. I would've at least expected the item to be corrected to the $8.95, even though she'd made mention of taking it off the bill completely. When I said something about it, she said, "I knew this would happen" and walked away. I was in shock at her attitude, and I didn't want to have to speak to her again, so my companion and I paid the bill as it was, in cash and got our coats on to leave when she came back and said she'd offered to replace my meal. Came here per my Dad's request for his birthday. Granted he was very drunk, i was trying to babysit n keep him calm, talked him into drinking water, keeping his vocabulary clean. I asked the bartender about their New Belgium draft, since there were no lists, and I was completely refused service. I wanted a beer for myself. For context, i am a bartender at a dive bar in Rochester, with 5+ years expirence serving. After i was refused service, the bartender stood there until i literally had to say "okay" and rolled my eyes. They asked if i had anything to drink, which i did, but i was no where near my Dad's level. While trying to entertain my Dad to keep him calm, i probably did come off a bit drunk while he was working, i am aware lol. This was beyond disappointing. If i was drunk, the way the bartender handled it was an easy in for me to be aggrivated. Not being asked anything else was just really upsetting n all respect lost. Learn to truly assess the situation, n if there was any uncertainty, asking really helps. Youre in the line of customer serive. Another note: while writing this, we were eventually sat for a table of 6, the server gave him a beer, and had the nerve to ask if he wanted another... Clearly he was intoxicated. 3 ppl had to say "water" for him. U do not need context to assess situations. I hope they can find a better way to train people, this was pathetic. Edit: dont be suprised if they add gratuity themselves. Good way for the waitress to be tipped less. 2 of the 6 of us were industry. We worked at Bohn's til they sold (she left) and the resturant closed (when I left). Others from the old crew have had similar issues with tips added, and its the server that suffers every time. Been living in Batavia for a little over a year now and decided to give this place a try after hearing rave reviews , "best wings in Batavia." Ordered online for pick-up using the app where a coupon popped up for $5 off your order, however I was unable to apply this. Went to pick up my order and was told by a waiter- "oh, well that was taken down a while ago." Nope, coupon is still there and pulled up the website. Sorry, can't honor it. Got home and opened up the pizza box-pizza was cold and not cooked thru. Remember the cheap frozen sheet pizza served in the cafeteria from elementary school? It's that kind of pizza. Asked for extra sauce on my wings, and got my small dry wings, sans any blue cheese/ranch. Also cold. I never write reviews...but this was exceptionally bad. My bill was $36 and change. Never again. Go to Main Street Pizza, they had a deal for 20" 1 -topping pizza, 24 wings and a 2 liter for $36.99 and they are consistently good. read more

T.F. Browns seems to only promote the beer specials and bowling ally in the back. The arcade full of kids is very annoying when trying to enjoy food. You can't make me go back! My son asks to go here all the time because they have a few arcade games in the back which produce tickets you can exchange for prizes. However, when we go.... At least one dish gets sent back, someone doesn't eat because their food is gross. It's just extremely frustrating. On top of the food you then have to deal with waitresses that don't care and have no customer service skills. I'd rather go buy my son prizes then go here again. Stopped into this restaurant tonight (3/30) after work by myself, they were pretty busy, waited a few minutes then A younger gentleman walked up to me and said "how many in your party" I looked around and since i was the only one standing there I said "one" he hesitated and then told me that they were kind of full , meanwhile i could see a few empty tables available, he then started to lead me towards the bar, i didn't want to sit at the bar, I'm not a drinker.He then told me there would be a wait for a table, i asked him about the empty tables, and he didn't know what to say so i just said forget it. I have never felt so insulted it made me feel like my money wasn't green enough for this place, fine I will vote with my and my companies monies, iwill be happy to take my meager business elsewhere where maybe a single paying customer is welcomed instead of shunned. Next time my little company wants to go out for a special event I will just cross this place off my list, no biggie, there are plenty of places in Batavia to go, I guess the Mancuso family has enough money and doesn't need mine :-( read more
