Horrible service. No drink refills after 30 mins and still no food. Appetizers came but no plates or silverware. TRAINING IS NEEDED!!!

Service seems to be the theme at this place for being bad. I stood at the hostess section while one waitress was cleaning her area, she looked up at me and continued what she was doing. The bar tender looked at me but never acknowledged I was just standing there. Once I was seated the waitress told me who would be my server. After seating for 5 minuets I heard the bartender tell another waitress she could take my order. I placed my drink order and my food order. My drink was made and it set up at the bar for 10 minutes. I could understand if they were busy not the case. The staff all conjugated at one table (I'm sure a ex worker) I would have complained to the manager but he was also over there. Received my Caesar salad and the dressing as poured just in the middle of the lettuce, that's not a huge deal. I have a two star based on by experience last week and the food was good. read more

Avery was our waitress there tonight and she was very attentive and always made sure we had drinks and didn't need anything else. I stopped off at this location on the way to Wichita over Christmas. The place was very busy but the service was a little slow. My food was fine but other members of my party said some of their items were cold. Giving 3 stars because of my food experience, but really disappointed how slow the service was. If you're traveling and looking for a place to sit down for a quick bite you might want to consider another place. read more

Everytime we've gone to our applebees in Ardmore, Ok. The service was out to lunch pun intended, the times that we visited I always asked to be sat with my family where i wouldn't be forgotten, we ordered our drinks nothing alcoholic but still waited between 10 to 20 minutes for that to happen. Our servers were less than excited to show us the courtesy that comes in working as a server, like trying to pass us off to other servers, not knowing why we are great tippers. Food was always incorrect and took me to go looking for my server or to find a manager. One time they forgot my order all together, the manager said she was going to make it right, she gave me half off of a dessert and charged us full price for all the meals including extra sides like onions and a sunny side up egg. Went here last night and will never go back! The food was horrible. Wonton chicken tacos taste like cat food smells, chicken Mac and cheese had a sweet liquid covering the plate and the grilled chicken had so much seasoning you could not eat it. We never saw the same waitress twice, had to ask for my drink from the bar twice and it was wrong when it came out. We never leave plates of food on the table but we did last night! Terrible service. Waited at the Door for 15 min before even being seen. Waited at our table for 45 minutes before getting our orders taken. It took an hour and 15 minutes before we got our appetizers and another 30 minutes before we got our meals. When the food got out, one was made incorrectly and all of it tasted disgusting and we didn't finish a single plate. When it came time to pay, the computer they gave us turned off inediatly and it took another 20 minutes before we could find someone to ask how we pay. We decided to give it one more shot because they are notoriously slow. Host sat us in the bar area. We sat with menus for 20 mins. never once being acknowledged. Waitstaff and manager were at the bar talking and watching the football game. We just left and won't be back. read more

Applebee's has the worst service. You go in and have to wait forever for anyone to ever come to take your order. We had to sit there for about 5-10 min and still no one came to even take our drink order. This is poor management. There was no choice to give it a negative star rating. read more

Well, my co-worker and I were headed to OKC for a class on some new software and thought we'd just stop in Ardmore since it was getting late in the day and grab something pretty quick to eat...okay, really?? We could have ordered, eaten and been on our way from the Burger King faster even if we'd went inside. The service (although it was the middle of the afternoon and there was not an overabundance of wait staff) was a little slower than we'd have cared for. How long does it really take to fix 4 little sliders and some chips and dip?? Our waitress was apparently doubling as the bartender and seemed to pay more attention to those people than the tables she was supposed to be waiting on. Slightly disappointing...but on a good note, they did have a hockey game on one of the TVs! :-) read more

Stopped in on a road trip. Service was wonderful, Michael the bartender was pleasant and anticipated our needs & the manager - Shera, even came out to say hello and make sure everything was going well. Food was excellent! Always feels a little dirty. It is overpriced just like all other Applebee's. This location is next door to a cheap motel so that also takes away from a positive experience. I do like the options of a few lower calorie dishes and that the calories are listed on the menu. Not a fan but my older parents like Applebee's so I am a forced to go now and then. read more

Received a gift card and decided to try once again. For the life of me I don't how this place stays open. We did the 2 for 20. We got the queso and chips and it was good. I got just the 7oz house steak and mashed potatoes. I wonder if this place has changed the heat lamp for food waiting to be served or have they ever timed how long food that comes off the grill to when it's served. TERRIBLE. We initially went to Chile's but because of the long 30-45 minute wait, we called Applebee's. We were told there wouldn't be a wait. Our group of 6 arrived and was told to seat ourselves. We then waited another 20 minutes to get waters. After another 30 minutes, 3/6 meals were brought out. The 3 meals were very sub-par, dry and disappointing. My meal was finally brought out 5 minutes after. I ordered a sirloin stir fry, but instead it was more like cardboard steak with oily rice. The other 2 meals were brought out an hour after we ordered it. While the rest of the meals were dry and tasteless like cardboard, these 2 meals weren't fully cooked. We expected to get salmonella from the uncooked shrimp. Thinking back, it would have been better to stay for the 30-45 min wait at Chile's than waiting over an hour for a crappy experience. read more

After a long day at the Dr's office me and my husband met up here to eat dinner. Because of storms I am assuming, the place was pretty dead. We were seated immediately. Hostess was pleasant enough. After sitting down I realized that it was so cold that it felt like a meat locker in there. I mentioned this two or three times to the waiter throughout the meal. There never was a change even though I was reassured they had. Waiter had even explained that the previous customers sitting in the booth ahead of us threatened to leave because it was to cold. We ordered the Won Ton Tacos as a appetizer and they were delicious. Husband got the half slab of ribs and I got the Parmesan shrimp steak medium with loaded baked potato and broccoli vegetable mix. Husbands food was great and my steak was good. The Parmesan cheese on top of my steak was so hard I couldn't even cut it with a knife so I pulled it off. The broccoli was cold and the loaded baked potato had no butter on it or sour cream but other than that the food was very good. Now, onto the music coming from the juke box. The employees were putting music on it and the whole time we were there I felt as if I was at a Rave. Ugh... Thump, thump, thump, it was hideously loud and every TV in the place was on a infomercial channel for airbrush makeup even though severe weather was in the area. Very distracting. The waiter was very personable and did a good job. I only gave three stars due to the issues stated here. All of these issues are simple fixes. Will we go back and give it another chance? Not sure, maybe but I can guarantee I will take a jacket. read more

This evening I chose to have supper with my cousin on our road trip. I am so annoyed about my trip to Applebee's in Ardmore. First of all when we were waiting to be seated, the host "forgot" that he was cleaning tables and to seat us. When we were sat it took 15 minutes for someone to acknowledge our existence at a table. Once we were greeted we also ordered our food. Then it took another 10-15 minutes for someone to bring us our drinks. They are not super busy during this time. However the cleanliness of the restaurant would make it appear that they have not found a broom in a week. Our food was originally delivered to the wrong table also. Then unfortunately my cousin ordered another cocktail and when that arrived 15 minutes later she said it was the last round. In that 15 minutes i finished my drink. Our waitress was no where to be found. And when she arrived with the other drink she said that I couldn't have another even though she just brought a fresh one. Stopped by for a late dinner and drinks with some friends. The food was good, nothing special, and came out as ordered and hot. Drinks were closer to come than they should have been and were on the slightly high average side on price. There was a decent variety however. The service, however, was rather poor. We had trickled in so by the time we had everyone, the table was too small for the group. We asked if we could move to another table close by that was large enough to fit all of us but was currently dirty. Instead, we were moved to another table that was larger but still not large enough to comfortably fit seven people. Why the first table couldn't simply have been cleaned off for us is unknown. I would say this place is good but tell you the truth some of the people they were rude and hateful and they never would handle with this drunk kicked out always be there me and the family had to leave because people they were getting this respectful and getting drunk and stupid and stop anyone ship stuff got heated and things didn't go right the place is disgusting and nasty the food is s*** and nasty it was cold and disgusting I don't even eat there twice took me a long ass time and you can get the food by the way so if I wasn't me I won't even go back but it kind of sucks read more

Went in to try it out with my husband and I were both very impressed. The wait staff was excellent we got mark as our waiter and he was very friendly and took care of us. My steak was perfect and my husband's shrimp was cooked perfectly and the bartender Neil was very good at what he does I had to meet him and give him a tip. One of the best bartenders I've ever had. So I will be going back whenever I have the chance!!! read more
