I stood in the middle of the store for approximately 30 minutes with a line forming behind me, and during that time no one acknowledged us or explained what the process was for receiving assistance. There was no greeting, no check-in, and no direction about where customers should go or how the queue was being managed. I ended up speaking with the customers behind me, and they were just as confused about what to do, where to go, or who to speak with. They mentioned they were simply trying to purchase a pair of AirPods, while I was just there to pick up an online order. None of us were sure if we were in the right place or waiting in the correct way because no one had acknowledged the line or provided any direction. Eventually an employee asked if I had been helped. When I explained that I had been waiting for about half an hour, several employees immediately came over. That response suggested the issue wasn't necessarily staffing, but rather a breakdown in floor awareness and queue management. What made the situation more uncomfortable was overhearing an employee respond to another customer in a somewhat condescending tone, saying something along the lines of "it's not like we're just standing around doing nothing, everyone's busy." I completely understand that retail environments get busy -- I work in retail myself -- but when customers have been waiting that long without acknowledgment, comments like that can come across as dismissive. A simple greeting, explanation of the check-in process, or someone managing the queue would have prevented most of the confusion and frustration. Today I had a Genius Bar appointment scheduled for 1:35 p.m. I arrived about 15 minutes early and checked in with a front employee, who told me to stand near the Apple TV display and someone would come check me in. I waited several minutes and no one came. Eventually a small group of us had formed, all assuming we were waiting for check-in, until an employee noticed and finally processed us. I was then directed to sit in a waiting area with other customers. While waiting, I saw multiple walk-ins being checked in who had appointments scheduled an hour later. Given how backed up the store already was, it was clear those times weren't realistic. I also noticed customers who checked in after my scheduled time being called before me. At around 2:00 p.m. my name was finally called, but only to be moved to another section of the store to continue waiting. While there, I overheard an employee explain to another customer that the store schedules the same number of appointments on Sundays as Saturdays, despite being open three fewer hours, which effectively makes Sunday their busiest day. About 45 minutes after my appointment time, I was finally helped. To the technician's credit, my issue was resolved quickly and professionally in under 10 minutes. The staff I interacted with were courteous, and the repair itself was efficient. However, the appointment system clearly isn't working as intended. When customers schedule a time, they reasonably expect it to mean something. Reviews for this location repeatedly mention overbooking and long delays, and my experience did nothing to contradict that pattern. I don't expect perfection, but I do expect an appointment to function like an appointment, not a loose suggestion. Good afternoon, Moving forward, if your technicians are going to provide a customer with a 5:00 PM appointment time at 3:30 PM, while also estimating only a one-hour turnaround for a simple battery replacement, it is completely unacceptable to later be told the device will not be ready until 8:00 PM or later, essentially at closing time. That level of miscommunication wastes an entire day for someone who may only have limited personal time available. To then be told the part may simply be held until next weekend, after I already rearranged my schedule and spent hours waiting, only reinforces why I have no intention of returning to this location. What was equally concerning was the complete lack of professionalism displayed throughout the interaction. An Apple technician initiated a conversation with me regarding my device, yet repeatedly interrupted the interaction to assist multiple other customers before allowing me to even finish providing necessary information. The behavior came across as dismissive, disorganized, and unprofessional. It demonstrated a clear lack of attentiveness, customer awareness, and basic respect. The overall experience reflected poor communication, poor time management, and extremely relaxed standards regarding customer service. There appeared to be little urgency, accountability, or consideration for the customer experience at any point during the visit. If even a small amount of professionalism, attentiveness, or care had been demonstrated, I may have reconsidered leaving. Instead, I walked out of the store and will not be returning. read more

I ordered a new phone for pick up. It was originally back ordered since the iPhone 17 pro max is a pretty new release. It was going to take 2-3 weeks until it was delivered but then west county had stock during the end of my 2 week wait so I cancelled and ordered for pick up instead. I opted for pick up first thing in the morning and was surprised to be greeted by doors opening with clapping. I asked what it was for and generally it would happen during a new release but then became an everyday thing for customers to experience. Idk why but it made me feel happy so I guess good for customers and maybe not so good for staff to do every morning and may get tired of it lol Absolutely love my new phone and the pick up process was so quick k and painless. I saw first hand a person being treated very badly by the so called geniuses of this store. The gentleman working there i think his name was Rodney, was being rude and constantly talking over the customer, sadly he dud not seem to be interested in what the female customer was trying to tell him the issue she was having with her apple phone . Went in Friday and they changed my battery. Come back Monday because my phone is overheating, the system flickers making my phone like a strobe light, the battery drains quickly. I went through the process.... Turned off and back on, but didn't help. Go back today (Monday 10/13) and the "professional " Rodney who was assigned to me, would over talk on top of me. He tried to make me look stupid pointing out the battery health is 100... I tried to say I know it was just changed out Friday. He then wanted to say how my phone is out of warranty (but it's not because I pay each month for it). He's so rude others around me were looking. I asked for a different person to help me. He still talked down to me. Finally he went to talk to the floor manager.... Tim, who then came over and said, "I didn't see him acting as if he were talking down or in circles." THIEVES!!!!! My sister purchased a $200 gift card from this store and gifted it to me for Christmas last year. When I tried to make a purchase with said gift card I was told by the Apple Store employee from a different store that the gift card had no balance. When I reached out to their customer service I was told that I did not have an actual gift card but instead a card for trade ins which was bs because I was literally opening the card with an Apple employee. So when my sister heard about it she looked for the receipt from a year ago and low and behold she was given the wrong GIFT CARD so the customer service representative then proceeded to cancel the missing card but told her that the fund are non refundable due to some "policy". This issue is still ongoing and Apple won't do anything. We have the receipt, we have the bogus gift card, they were able to cancel the "missing" gift card but they refuse to give her money back. read more

Upon entering the store, no one greeted us. We wandered all over the store looking for someone to help us. We were told to stand by the Apple TV display and someone would check us in. There were others waiting with us as well. Eventually, someone came to check us in. 2.5 hours later, someone was available to help. We needed a receipt as proof of purchase for the phone (luckily for us, someone had warned us of this in advance) and then it took another hour on top of that to get the phone unlocked. I went to the Apple Store to buy a set of earbuds, and have my phone checked out for a potential problem. I knew what I wanted as far as earbuds, and that was taken care of right away. I had to wait about 20 minutes for a tech support person to help with the phone. They ran diagnostics and I was out within 10 minutes of the diagnosing. Apple always does a nice job. Today the wait wasn't long at all. Their products, while expensive, are high quality. I had tried on no less than 20 different earbuds before I found the Powerbeats pro 2 that fit like a charm. read more

I came in because my Apple Watch hasn't been working for two months and due to my crazy hours I have not been able to come in I was told by Apple support that I could not make an appointment and just to come in at my convenience. However, when I did come in I was told this was not the case and that I could make an appointment. They said the wait time was 2+ hours. I asked if there was anything that could be done and I gave them all of my case numbers over the span of two months verifying that I have been calling about this issue with no solution. I also provided the names of the representative that told me I did not need an appointment. They still refused to help in anyway possible. The female manager - wouldn't give name, wearing a red beanie with short brown hair- came over after I asked for any kind of help even if they could look at my phone or watch and give me any information to help. She also refused to look at my phone or my watch and offer any kind of assistance unless I waited 2+ hours. I understand so they have appointments and weight time but it is upsetting as a customer to drive 30 minutes to a location for help to only be told you can not be helped without waiting 2+ hours even when I had my case numbers. I made a reservation a few days prior for a battery replacement, and was originally told by the in store employee that it would be a 2 hour wait. When I arrived for the appointment they told me it would take 7 1/2 hours to replace a battery. That's a huge difference. That is a rediculous amount of time to wait when you have an appointment. Upon my arrival, the store was pretty empty and I was the only one at my table waiting to be helped. It made no sense. I do not know if other Apple stores are doing this, but I cannot recommend this location. read more

First of all, I have been an Apple customer for over 20 years, and always have several different Apple products at any given time. I wanted to buy my wife a new iPhone. I tried to make an appointment at the store, but they no longer do that. Even though we went to the store on a weekday morning, it was packed. they have no organized system for waiting on you. First, I had to go find an apple employee, and they just told me to go to the phone section and wait for someone to come. Of course, there were several other people doing the same thing. they have no system for taking you in the order that you get there. I had to try three times to find an employee to help us later on. I feel this is a very poor process for someone who is interested in buying a $1200 phone. In addition, their website said that we should be able to trade-in our old iPhone for at least $50. At the store, their system told them our phone was not eligible for trade-in. I was able to trade it in later on by mailing it in. As much as we like Apple products, I feel the buying process at least at the store is terrible. read more

There really is no point in setting an appointment. I set up an appt over 2 hours before the appt time at 5pm. I had to run to make it on time, only to sit there for an hour and a half before a "genius" even came to me. I saw others who came in AFTER me and who had appts AFTER me, get waited on before me. When I inquired, I was told it is not based on who is there first but rather the symptoms. Again, what is the point of an appointment then. I spent another 30 min waiting for diagnostics and finally left the store at 7:15. That was 2 hours and 15 min. Absolutely ridiculous. Tell the customer the approx wait time OR if you are short on technicians - cancel the ability to make an appointment! I will never go back there again. Yesterday morning, first thing -- my $1000 iPhone was dead. Black screen, charger connected -- no sign of life. Tried powering it up holding side button, then hard reset, using volume up, volume down and side button, etc. etc. Watched a few youtubes. Nothing worked, so made an afternoon appointment at Apple Store. I showed up on time of course. But, of course, also had to wait about half an hour. The sound pressure levels in the Store were painful. Rather than peruse the plethora of Apple products on display, because of the noise, I waited outside. (Tell the greeter where you are -- she's the one with an iPad, keeping track of waiting customers.) BTW-- the three customers immediately in front of me had "dead" iPhones -- like mine. The "threshold of pain" sound pressure levels were attributable to a lecturer with voice reinforcement and no-one paying attention. (See photo.) My genius said "Yes, I know, no-one is listening, but we are required to present on schedule -- once per hour I think." So, both the greeter and the genius remarked on the noise; and the presenter knew no-one was listening to her explaining the virtues of Photos. Go figure. My iPhone issue? Resolved quickly. The genius knew the solution to my problem right away. Needed a hard reset, but like the others before me, I was not doing the 3-button-pushing sequence quickly enough. read more

I showed up another day after work just to get told because the case tore they would not replace it and stated "you could buy another case for $59.99". I've never been to an Apple store and don't have any plans to go back! Not sure how things work there but there were about 20-30 employees inside but they were minutes from opening so one employee was outside of the store greeting customers. Coming in I knew exactly what I wanted so I just needed to be checked out, but there were only two "specialists" there whatever that means, so I'd have to wait an hour for an appointment with one. Can all employees not run a point of sale system at this company or am I missing something? On top of that, you can only make payments if you have a certain carrier or if you order online with an Apple credit card and pay off the card, not the device. So to do that I would've had to order it online and come back hours later to pick it up - even though they had one in store. MAKES NO SENSE! I normally don't do payments on stuff like that but didn't expect to be buying a new phone and had no choice. So I left. read more

I came to them after an incredibly frustrating tech support experience at the St Louis Galleria store. I'll spare you the whole story of that frustrating experience, but I came to West County frustrated and left feeling totally vindicated, my issue having been taken seriously and more than adequately addressed. Kahsan in particular was extremely compassionate about my situation and very expertly and professionally worked with me to resolve my issue. Dehumanizing experience. I ordered a new iPhone online and went to pick it up in the store. I never even made it into the store - just the hallway in the mall. They had several lines set up. They did a temperature check, then put me in a waiting line, then quickly moved me to another line and said someone would come help me. I felt like a little cog in a machine. The girl came to help, she was friendly. But she got my order information and then went in the store and brought out the packaged phone with a bag - no offer to help set it up or anything. I've had issues with Apple and Sprint not communicating over issues with my SIM card the last time I got a new phone. So in the mall hallway, I had to balance the box of this brand new phone on the end of a stanchion to pull out the phone and make sure there was a SIM card in the new phone. I hope I don't have issues setting it up on my own. And - to top it off - the brand new phone comes with a new USB-C cord, but no power adapter. So unless you spend an extra $19 for the power adapter, the cord it comes with is useless and you have to use your old iPhone cord to plug it into the wall. I always dread going to the Apple store for phone issues because it always takes FOREVER for them to help me - last time I was there nearly 3 hours. My husband refuses to go with my anymore because it always takes so long. So I'm glad it was so quick. But extremely frustrating to be treated more like cattle than a human being, and very frustrated that no help was offered. read more

I always make an appointment online and if the appointment does not start on time it is always within a few mins. The last pc repair was diagnosed 4 days before the warranty ended. Of course the parts and labor were completed at the warranty expired and they asked for payment. After a quick and easy explanation all was resolved and free. My daughter and I were racial profiled by the store manager Brett or Brent. I went to pick up an order placed online. My order was over $1k. I went to use the restrooms inside the store as I have done before on previous visits (my daughter loves Apple products). I cane out the bathroom to fine the store manager and 3 other sells associates waiting for me. I was told bathrooms inside the store is for employees only. Even though a non employee (customer)of a different ethnicity asked to use the restrooms and was allowed to do so. My daughter was sitting on the couch while I was in the restrooms and Brett or Brent asked my daughter (12) to move twice Because of training. He came off as if we, the customer, was aware training was occurring. As a customer, I am very disappointed by the way my daughter and I was treated. T-Mobile continues to tell us to go to the Apple store to fix our brand new iPhone and the Apple store keeps turning us away and telling us to go to t-mobile. Nobody wants to be accountable for the piece of crap iPhone and we've gone without cell service for a week! I bought an iPhone 15 Pro Max when they first came out with AppleCare. It cost me 1700 and something dollars not long after I had it I had to have the phone replaced because it had a cellular issue. I couldn't make phone calls I couldn't get on the Internet, they replaced it because I had AppleCare with that phone. I had an issue with a cellular issue again this time my AppleCare had expired and I had to pay $499 for them to fix the phone. Then shortly after that, the phone had the cellular problem again Which is May last year and this is October and now I got the same issue. I talked with the person on the floor. They told me that their policy is they can repair it but they can't replace it and again it's gonna cost me $499, so I asked to speak to a supervisor and she came out kind of snotty and just looked at me and said I just want to say I have to iterate what the sales person told you at that point I told her I'm not putting any more money in this phone I think it's a lemon and Apple should supply me with a brand new phone and no charge. She said that's against their policy they can't do that. I keep having the same issue with the same iPhone some cellular problem and when it pops up, you can't even make a phone call, you can't get on the Internet. Sometimes you can reset the phone turn it off and on and it'll work for a while we went to Chicago area couple of weeks ago and this cellular problem popped up and I was unable to use my phone for three days, it said it was doing an update and that's all it said it was doing I couldn't shut it off I couldn't do anything but let it run totally down and then I could restart it but then it would start the update again in lock up, I worked with it on the phone for hours trying to get this fixed and it seemed like it. Now today October 11 it give me the cellular problem again and that's what I went up to the Apple Store in West County and as far as I'm concerned and as reality would have it it was a total waste of my time they don't seem like they care about the customers who's already purchased phones from them they have policies, and That they cannot work with So they just leave the customers hanging that's very very poor customer service a matter fact it's not even customer service. read more
