As a long time mac user (I got laughed at for being one of the only persons to actually have a 1st generation iPod-who knew-lol) I was very excited to hear this store was opening. The closet place to find any apple products years ago was in center city & that wasn't even am apple store- just a re-seller. Things were great with this store in the beginning. Now that it's become popular to use macs- and everyone in the world has an iPod- this store has fallen. They've become very snobby & unfortunately have confirmed many peoples opinion that mac users think of themselves as elitist. The staff is rude - the "geniuses" are hit or miss at best & the new setup makes it impossible to get in & out very quickly. Thankfully the cherry hill mall store opened. This is very inconvenient for me personally but it's a much better store. The staff is much more knowledgeable & helpful. Let's face it, as mac users we pay a premium for our products. Part of the apple "experience" was going into their stores & dealing with qualified employees that knew & believed in the product. The sagemore store seems to have lost site of this. It's a shame because in the beginning they were outstanding. I understand they've gotten busier witn the success of the iPod but this store has gone backwards. I do love this Apple Store. It's always crowded, but well-staffed, and efficient. Selection is good, and I have actually been able to get a few items there before they were officially released. We've bought several of our iPhones here, even though we live 3 hours north. The experience and selection are just that much better. read more

The staff was super helpful and recognized the problem I was having immediately. This is my go-to store for apple products and issues. I went to get my Beats headphones fixed today. My first impression was that the people looked extremely unprofessional. Some of them looked dirty, others sloppy, and most looked like freaks. The first time I went there they got my beats working and didn't see a problem. They took down notes and said that if I had an issue to come back and they would send them out. They also said they wouldn't know how much it would cost until after they sent them out. On the way home my headphones cut out again so I brought them back in. I had to wait forever to get somebody. (I did have an appointment initially and that took forever still). They referrred me to one guy who took about 3 other people first and told me to "hold on". Then they sent another woman to "help". It took her a long time to pull up the notes. She had no idea what my headphones were. Apple geniuses my ass. Ask a simple question and the employee has to go to at least 4 other people to find out and still didn't know! Then she came back and said it would cost $199 to repair even though someone else already told us they wouldn't know until they sent them out. It's literally the same price or cheaper to buy a whole new pair in most cases. I asked her if they sold Executive Beats like I had. She didn't know. I'm pretty sure she didn't know what they were. Instead of going and looking she pulled it up in a computer but couldn't find them. Then again it was obvious she didn't know the difference between any of the products. 18 employees working. 15 of them just stand around on floor and wait to help new people walking in the door. All I needed them to do, was restore my phone because I was locked out of it. I was greeted by 1 guy, I explained my problem, he directed me to a second guy, so I explained my problem again. All this guy did was, put us in the system and told us there was an hour wait. Okay, no problem, I had no appointment, so I waited. An hour and 20 minutes later, I went back inside wondering what the deal was. A third guy tells us it won't be much longer until they are ready for me. 15 minutes later I receive the text that it's my turn. The original 3 guys I dealt with are nowhere in sight, so I approach a 4th guy, he is useless, I don't even think he told anyone. 10 minutes later, I was beyond annoyed. I approached a FIFTH guy, who then took my phone into the back. 15 minutes later, no news. I approached a SIXTH woman, who walked in the back and came back out a second later with my phone. All in all, I spent over 2 and 1/2 hours here for a 5 min fix. The amount of employees who aren't technicians is ridiculous. It is not efficient. Train some of these kids to fix phones instead of twiddling their thumbs together until they can bum rush another person walking in the door. read more

The men and women of this store are highly trained to give individual attention. I have visited on several occasions and they take their time and answer all questions without becoming impatient or bored. They are never rude. You can play on all the equiptment and they are eager to help. However, if you plan to go try to avoid Saturday and Sunday. Best to go during the day in the early afternoon or after 7:00 at night. What was once one of my favorite stores and brands is now at the bottom of my list. Walked in with a broken Mac Mini, dealt with argumentative staff that are highly skilled at "pushing back" with out being confrontational. After spending many hours at Apple Sagemore, whom performed no action to fix my computer - all I left with was a suggestion to buy Apple Care and found out that my computer as retuned to me with an dislodged memory chip. I wrote a complaint, the store called to fix the problem - however I do t have hours of time to waste traveling to a store, and Apple refused to fix this by mail. I'm following up with them and if they honor the request to handle this by me sending the computer in, I'll report back - however as it stands? They're rotten Apples in my opinion. read more

Apple's system of not letting you drop your device off until the exact time you prescheduled with them or until they let you know you're up is the most ridiculous "liability" policy I've ever experienced. I've had two things done with them and my whole day ended up revolving around almighty Apple Store's timeline. They said come back when we text you, so I did and it took me 15 min to get back to the store from where I was...they said I took too long and would have to go back on the waiting list. This time, my prescheduled appointment is at 1300, it's 1125 and I'm not allowed to drop my phone off yet because it's too much of a "liability" to have my phone sit there for an hour and a half. NO STARS!!!!!!!!!! ZERO STARS!!!!! They were RUDE and didn't help me AT ALL with my 70 y.o. parents 13 month old iPhones. They told them it was crashed and that they had to buy a new one for $300.00. After 5 days of b.s. I couldn't take it anymore ....so, I drove 250 miles to my parents and low & behold .... THEY LIED!!!! They could have performed a DFU reset on the phone, but chose not to. A DFU reset takes about 60 seconds and would have saved me about 12 hrs. in travel time, 6 hours of trying to figure it out myself, and 1 week worth of worrying about my elderly father without a way of communicating. We're not rich .... my father still works 4 days a week and they've almost lost their home to foreclosure 3 times in the last 7 years!!! I WORK for a living! Hello, yesterday I had been having issues with my iPhone 7 that kept saying no service and I was unable to receive calls/texts nor send any as well. As a result, I ended up calling Apple support via Wi-Fi and asked them to get a reservation at one of their stores. unfortunately I live over an hour from the nearest store and the only available appointment was in Marlton New Jersey at 11:30am which was over an hour away from where I lived. I knew I would never make it in time but I took the appointment anyway knowing I was going to be late traveling from Atlantic City to Marlton in a stormy rainy Tuesday. I finally made it safely to the Apple Store in Marlton New Jersey at 12:45pm, when the first worker that came up to me to check me in said " oh you're late, OK we will try to get you in still because we are slow." I waited about 10 minutes until they called my name, I can't remember who the worker was but he basically told me that my phone at that moment was showing no signs of any malfunction and that unfortunately there is not much They can do but come back if it acts up again. IS HE SERIOUS!? That was his solution come back AGAIN!? I just traveled over an hour in a storm and "IF" my phone acts up again to come back!? That was his solution!???. I was so disappointed and unhappy, I couldn't believe I was being shunned away without a resolution!! As I was leaving the store I stopped by the entrance and I said a prayer, god please help me! As I stood there in aghast, I heard a young gentleman ask me if I worked out at tilton gym in galloway nj.? I could not believe that I was over an hour away and this nice gentleman named Brian who was a godsend recognized me from my gym!!! Brian asked me if I was happy with how everything went with my experience and as soon as I told him my dilemma he quickly hooked me up with Barbara the sales associate that assisted me with seeing if I had any other options other than just leaving the store without any solution. If Brian never had said anything to me I would of never left the store with a brand new iPhone XR! It just so happened that went Barbara looked over my account I was due for an upgrade on my phone! It was exactly two years from the last time I got my old iPhone 7. With Brian's awareness and awesome personality, along with the knowledge and help from Barbara, I was able to walk out of the store with a brand new iPhone XR and same plan from from my provider. I was so amazed on how much they helped me and how it truly was a moment of grace in that store! If I would of just left as that first associate was allowing me to do, I never would of been as happy as I am now! Thank you Brian and Barbara for an unbelievable experience! It's funny I was just talking to someone about why they should buy an apple as their PC broke, and boom-hardrive kicks!!! I was at the mercy of the geniuses! A friend told me she waited almost 3 hours here before so I made an appointment to avoid that. I had to go twice within the past two weeks and both times they saw me right At the appointment time. Staff are all friendly and welcoming. They helped me with my issue and were patient with my million questions. They helped me find the best deal on a hardrive online rather than only up selling me whatever Apple says, I appreciate that and will likely only purchase Apple products moving forward because I know what I'm getting, the product plus the service. The folks who helped always let me know what was going on and always checked with me to see if it was ok to help someone else while my issue was resolving. My iPhone was too hot so I got a message that it needed to cool down before it would work. Having a waterproof case, I felt confident enough to put it inside some ice. Bad move, it soon started displaying odd pictures and broken lines so I immediately shut it off. I dried it off and took off the case and water condensation was inside, so I knew that there must be some inside the phone. Everyone says that in this situation to keep it turned off and put it inside some dry rice or desiccant and wait 48 hours. I thought it would be better to take it to the Apple Store. WRONG!!!! After being greeted by one person I was directed to another and was told I needed a reservation for a "tech" at the Genius Bar. One was available in 30 minutes, so they told me I could leave and they would text me on my GFs phone when he became available. OK, I walked to the other side of the complex to get a milkshake. However 15 minutes later I got a text so I hurried back and was told to wait in the corner. 20 minutes later of doing absolutely nothing I wondered why there was a dozen employees wandering around also doing nothing. Wow, this tech must be special. After he was done I explained exactly what happened and that it had carefully been left OFF. So I hand it to him and before I could say anything at all he had it on and without doing any type of examination. It booted up fine but soon crashed. He then told me that it just fried. Yep, it just fried right now. Right there because he turned it on when water was inside. Wow! Now why didn't I just put it in rice and wait 48 hours? This "genius tech" had the finesse and patience of an 8 year old. Then he offered to take it in the back and check to verify that it had water damage. Really!?!?! AFTER he fries it, he wants to take it apart? Then he tells me they don't do water damage repair, and tries to sell me another! OK! BYE! How about taking it apart FIRST. Then advise me that they don't do water damage repair after verifying water had infiltrated it and tell me the best course of action at that point? Instead he grabs it and fries it! To try and sell me another? My god. Thanks Julian! It's not the phone, but the pictures, apps, contacts and aggravation. So I'm never going into that store AGAIN. It could have been saved, but even the genius verified that it was fried. It didn't boot up anymore. That was Saturday. Sunday I went to Walmart to get another. Got it all set up and working. Spent a few hours setting it the right way. Then driving home Sunday night the old phone on my passenger seat mysteriously comes on. Huh?!?! It's at 1% and has no SIM card or phone number and came on all by itself. Aggggggg!!!!!! $&@%#!!!!!! Not only did Julian do the wrong thing, but he incorrectly told me it was gone. Very upset experience, I understand there's COVID around. But there is no other excuse to turn customer down. I had an reservation, and that not very attentive lady told me they were out of gold and silver color, so I went out to talk to my wife siting inside car who was not allowed to go in with me. Then I went back to the store asking about if they had blue or graphite. One lady said " I saw you were here, you can't come inside again " by the way, I waited in line for second time too. And that not very attentive lady told me they out of blue while she barely checked for me in the system and reason I went in for second time is only because she told me they had them. So I asked if I could book a reservation for tomorrow, and she told me to do that online which is not even available for the rest days for the week online. That's when the third lady showed up, accused me had already booked a reservation for tomorrow which is crazy thing that I didn't even know when did I book one for tomorrow. She was so sure about it, so I said lady you wanna bet? Then she ran away, cause the manager check their system, obviously I wasn't in the system for tomorrow. And the manager accused me already bought 6 phones that day, can't buy more, which was even unbelievable, I had never got a single phone from them before. I finally got a appointment as I insisted. Then the even crazy thing happened when I come back for the new appointment, they let other customers went inside, but when it's my time, they let me stand outside in the cold wind and paid outside which is definitely seems like discrimination to me. Overall ppl in the store are unbelievable, I felt like the whole store workers were against me. And that probably only because I don't speak fluent English. They said they had limited availability, but they had whole store workers against me , and not enough workers to take care customers in line?! I live about 15 minutes from the pier location in Atlantic City, but I drive to the sagemore location in Marleton, because the customer service is phenomenal and no wait time if I come straight from work in the morning and get there before they open. My experience at the pier, even if I'm the first person there in the morning, if I don't have an appointment I have to wait 1-3 hours. Love sagemore. They have my business. read more

If I could, I'd live at the Apple store. I began my descent into computers at an early age and on a Mac. As I grew older, I became part of the PC population out of being poor and just plain outnumbered. Well, when I started my freelance writing business two years ago, I was determined to do it "right", which meant upgrading my home computer system and rekindling my love affair with Apple. I visited my local Apple store and was hooked! I recently visited to buy an iPhone. Yes, I have the iPhone. At the Marlton, NJ store, folks were camped out on folding lawn chairs during the wee hours of the morning. But when I arrived at 2:00 p.m., when the store closed to ready for the launch, there weren't very many people there: maybe 30 or so. The staff (and security) were friendly, approachable and helpful. I remarked that I hadn't seen people camped out like that since I waited on line for New Kids on the Block tickets when I was 16 and the whole staff broke out laughing. Even John "Mayor Gadget" Street had a catbird seat at another store in the middle of the night. But I decided to shop for a few hours before the reopening (I'm much too cool to sit outside a store for a phone), got ice cream, listened to the Phillies day game on my car stereo, then, joined folks in the line, which by 5:00 p.m. was growing longer. Apple staff arranged for coffee and Panera Bread to offer us free beverages and donuts while we waited! But even with the circus atmosphere (kids scalping their spots in line while local news helicopters hovered above us taking photos) Apple staff was poised, calm and helpful. When I finally picked up my box, I had a staff member offer to check me out using a mini, portable credit card machine! How's that for service? I was talking on my new iPhone in mere minutes. At any Apple store you can peruse and play with any gadget or computer with smart support and without the frustration of the "hard sell." Leave it to Apple to create products that not only are the most usable and glitch-free, but they're also the most stylish and awe-inspiring. I can't take out my iPhone in public without being asked for a look and a tutorial. If it were a man, I'd be jealous! Visit an Apple store. I had an issue with my iPhone 7 after an update it took me three days to get an appointment. When I showed up for my appointment I took 20 minutes for them to see me. And at first I was greeted by someone who really didn't do repairs and try to check the network settings which were already checked during a previous pop in and they told me I needed an appointment. After the Apple guru was checking my phone and checked all the switches that the previous Apple employee checked and he told me my problem was due to my phone not the update but they don't get any information from Apple about updates. My phone had downloading and sending data issues after an update. He then proceeded to tell me how I just needed to buy a new phone and I could get a credit towards a new one but if I backed it up and the phone wouldn't work then I would not get a credit. So basically he wasn't going to even look any further so I totally wasted my time. I could use the phone through texting and calling only and it would work OK on Wi-Fi. So today I was able to get my phone to work by just turning the airplane mode on and off and on and off. So with my basic knowledge of electronics it had to be tricked basically and it was a software issue. I basically wouldn't recommend wasting your time with them. I arrived 5 mins early and able to walk right in for my appointment. There were no other customers in line waiting or in the store. The tech diagnosed the problem right away and said I would need a new phone-my current phone is not repairable. At this point, I would have thought the next step would be to purchase a new phone. As I inquired more, the tech said I should go home and explore all my options. Since my goal was to leave with a working phone, I asked to purchase during this appointment time. The tech said that would not be possible and I would have to go home and order online due to their 15 min limit. I am still the ONLY customer, I was early and only 5 mins had passed. The tech had no other solutions! Apple should be ashamed of themselves to use covid as an excuse not to do the right thing and to choose to not work and stand around socializing with each other instead of taking care of their loyal Apple customers. I probably could have complained directly to the manager, but I this point I needed to get away from their abuse of the restrictions so that they don't have to do their job. I am 8 months pregnant, and was traveling alone when I managed to shatter my iPhone, rendering the screen un-usable. I could not make phone calls, or even unlock my phone to connect it to my car. I quickly located the closest Apple store to where I was, about 3 hours from my home, and drove there. Because I was locked out of my phone, I was unable to make an appointment online. However, when I arrived, the entire store was more than willing to help, even pushing up my wait time to make sure I was taken care of as soon as possible. I left with a totally new phone, and an overall great experience. I felt so much better knowing I would not be able to contact my family if anything were to happen on my drive home, with me or the baby. This should have been a terrible experience! Trying to change a phone over from one service to another proved to be more complicated then some of my board exams. Luckily, Apple breeds helpful employees like rabbits breed offspring. All of the Apple guys and gals were polite and after roughly 3-4 hours spent between here and the AT&T counterpart I was ready to keep my old phone and smash my new I-toy. Just as we finished activating one phone, the gift card for the other was reading $0 (even though there was $200 on there). It took longer than it should have to fix it but afterwards the manager greeted us and offered us free merch. Apple stuff is pretty cool and really user friendly but I don't look forward to visiting the store again, especially around the holidays! read more
