Farmhouse and silo slide
Lailah J.

Had a fun family day peach picking here in July. The orchards are plentiful, with lots of ripe pickins and fruits that are still growing in. Both yellow and white varieties, though fewer white peaches. The trees in the back have more unpicked ripe fruits. They also have PYO apples, pumpkins, and sunflowers, according to season. Prices are very reasonable: entry is only $3 for age 2 and over, and includes the petting zoo, play area, and a hayride. PYO peaches were $16.99 a bag which is about 10-12 lbs. Sunflowers are $2 per stem, apples are $38 for a half bushel, and pumpkins are $14 each, at current writing. You have to check their website or call to see what's available/in season, but no reservation or advance ticketing is needed like at some other farms. The farm store didn't have a lot of products, just some honey, maple syrup, sauces, dried goods, a few drinks, and apple cider donuts. Bizarrely and funnily, seasonal decorations from Christmas were still up in the summer, so it's like they never bothered to remove/change them. I thought the playground with several play structures (train, pirate ship, tractors, fire truck, little house, barn & silo slide), and the petting zoo with lambs, goats, llamas, pot belly pigs, and more, were great! My kiddo totally enjoyed them and you can kill the better part of a day here. It's more lowkey here than at some of the bigger/more commercial/well-advertised farms, but we really enjoyed the offerings and loved the value and the brilliant fun we had here.

Was headed to the winery and decided to pick some apples on the way there . Found this place on yelp and decided to give it a try since the website said they also had sunflowers and peaches ( I didn't know ) you could pick your own peaches . The way there was easy however the people who check you in are not exactly very friendly , I felt like I was in boot camp :( , we asked for directions as of where the peach trees were and the directions we got and nothing were the same thing . Very disappointing, so I figured maybe they had signs and I was wrong because not even the apples sections had signs telling you what kind of apples they were and the peach trees were all the way down hill with a very difficult terrain to walk through . At least the peaches were worth getting but most of the experience wasn't exactly what I expected when it comes to customer service not to mention there were also NO sunflowers which was disappointing. The other issue is they have a bunch of portable bathrooms located right next to the picnic tables where people eat , not necessarily where I wanna sit to enjoy my food .. and most of the tables were still in boxes on the ground , it's like no one even bothered to put them together . If you want a better experience maybe just go elsewhere , this place is just to disorganized and Certainly needs a lot of improvements .

Wonderful!! We decided to go Apple picking and after doing some research we decided to come here. The problem was that it was a raining day, but we decided the rain was not a problem at all. When we arrived the parking lot was almost empty. The bag was $40.00 dollars, and the lady gave us the apple map. Huge place with all kinds of different apples, my favorite the galas where at the end of the ochard. It was muddy due to the rain but for that reason the place was almost empty, which was great. They have a petting zoo and a small pumpkin patch. It's a family place, to come here and have a relaxing day.

This was my first time here and I loved it. So fun and easy to navigate around. I love the area. The petting zoo was cute and the cows were adorable. Definitely coming back again soon for apples! THANK YOU FOR A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE. Everyone was lovely. The peaches were delicious!

Ripe Peaches for Picking

The grounds was clean and well kept. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The market was well organized with seasonal treats. When we left we were invited back for holiday lights! This orchard has Beautiful scenic backgrounds for breathtaking photos as well as a variety of ripe delicious fruits to choose from.

We've been good!

we enjoyed ourselves tonight at Apple Ridge Orchards, beautifully decorated for the Christmas holiday this really put us in a festive mood. And walking through the Lite show was awesome! Great place to bring the family, Hot chocolate, apple cider donuts, s'mores and much more, you won't be disappointed!

Huge orchard. Went when they still had some peaches so I got to pick apples and peaches. The petting zoo was cute. You can buy the food to feed the animals. There's a shop that sells ready made apple cider donuts and other goods. The apple cider was refreshing and rich. They have a "food truck" that sells amazing bbq. The bbq ribs were so good, they have a smoker in the back and some picnic style table/benches. They take Venmo payment or cash. My phone was not getting any signal to connect to Venmo, luckily my friend had cash!

A less crowded and smaller orchard than Maskers, with a small farm shop We got here an hour after they opened on a Saturday and there were only a few cars already there. There were plenty of people directing traffic. It was $30 for a bag and $6 per person to enter. They also had some feed but not sure what animals you're feeding. They had a nice selection of apples (check their website to see what apples are ripe for picking), not excessively big and walkable but you should definitely be mobile. The small store has the usual selection of honey, syrup, jams, kernels and packaged apple cider donuts, but not a lot of goods, not sure if it's because of COVID.

Place was packed, they sold some pies and apple ciders in the small shop. There are some picnic benches but not enough for the crowd. Other than apples, there are some pumpkin for picking. Apples mostly gone at this time.

Screen shot taken same day 10/15, advertising $34 for a 1/2 bushel with no mention of smaller bags.

Parking was insanity. I expected this but the teenagers handling it were super unhelpful. People got back to their cars and instead of leaving so the dozens of cars looking for parking could park themselves, they literally camped out for a picnic in between their cars. $3 to get in $25 for a SMALL apple picking back - huge red mesh bags last year were a little more expensive but at least twice as big. These small bags are what you can get at the grocery store and typically hold 6-10 apples. I checked their website in advance and so this seemed odd to me. Sure enough, I checked when I got home again and they're advertising 1/2 bushel bags for $34 but the bags they had were 1/4 bushel, aka a peck. For more than half the price. $18 for a dozen donuts. They had no seating for the food you could buy from the food truck (something they had in years past). Really awful. We came here in 2019 and 2020 and had a much different and more positive experience which is why we came all the way back this year. But this year it feels like a money grab and taking advantage of the crowd vs a nice experience. I should have gone back to the other farm I found locally in NJ that charged by the pound and was overall a nicer more humane experience. Know what to expect!

I came here in the middle of October in the early afternoon. There wasn't much of a crowd. This was such an adorable farm. It's great for adults and children of all ages. Upon entering the farm, you pay the entry fee along with any other activities that you want to participate in, including apple picking, buying animal food to feed the animal, or just purchasing their goods. The entry fee was $3 per person and you get a wristband. I got the apple bag for $32, which holds around 20-25 larges apples. The animal feed was $1 per cup. Apple Picking: get the green apples! 1) There weren't a lot of apple trees with apples left for picking but I was able to find a few here and there. It was towards the end of the season so I didn't expect to see a lot left but I was still able to fill my apple bag with delicious apples. I prefer the green apples here. It's very delicious. It's even better when it's cold from being in the fridge. It has a very crispy and refreshing texture. Feeding the animals: the bunnies were the cutest! 1) The animals include alpacas, baby goats, goats, ram, bunnies, and a pig. The highlight of the animals was the bunnies that were all the way to the back end of the farm. They were all laying there and waiting for you to feed them. They're very gentle and soft. The same goes for baby goats and alpacas. They just lick the food pellets from your hand. The farm's homemade goods that I purchased: DELICIOUS! 1) I got a cold bottle of apple cider to try and it blew my mind. I've never had such delicious apple cider before. It's not too sugary and was refreshing after a hot day of apple picking. 2) The apple cider doughnuts were amazing. My friends and I kept eating them. I wish I had purchased the bigger box than the box of six. Other goods: 1) The farm has a variety of pumpkins to choose from. They're all laid out on the ground and inside the boxes for you to choose. 2) The farm also has different pies, bread/pancake/waffle mixes, honey and jam. Highly recommend this farm.

I believe there were…read moreothers close to this one, but we went with Ochs because of the low admission fee ($5 per person) and petting zoo. It was an hour and a half drive from upper Manhattan. We went here on a random Wednesday afternoon so we basically had the orchard to ourselves. The first parking lot you see is for their store, you have to keep driving up for the u-pick orchard. There you check in to pay your admission fee, get your wristband, and get your apple picking bag(s). They give you a map where the ripe apples are highlighted for you. My favorite apples were the honeycrisp and snap dragons. They grow vegetables too but honestly we didn't explore the orchard that much (it was huge) so the only other thing I picked besides apples was a tomato, which I felt like was pretty difficult to find a good one. I handed out the apples to other friends and colleagues and they all liked them! There's something different about picking the apple straight off the tree than the apples you would normally just buy at a grocery store. It's a lot crispier when you pick them yourself! The store has apple cider doughnuts! Now being that I am a Californian where we don't have this apple picking culture, I was wondering what all the hype around apple cider doughnuts was about. NOW I GET IT they're so good! Unfortunately since we went on a weekday the doughnuts weren't fresh (they make them fresh on the weekends) so some of them were stale, but most were still good. It's honestly more of a cake than a doughnut, but so good! The doughnuts are self serve towards the back. The store also had a cat on the prowl haha We ended up not even having time to visit the petting zoo, but overall I think my colleagues had a good time here and I would recommend this orchard for anyone trying to have a no frills apple picking experience. I believe there was like a building restroom closer to the store and port o potties closer to the u-pick orchard.

We came on a winter day few days after Christmas and they had free samples of apple cider. I got some tea and honey to bring back home to FL. I also bought some apples and they were so soft inside and juicy. Unlike any other apple I've had. I wish I had a way to bring the Amish butter home since a family member has it in their home I often have it with bread in the morning. The staff were friendly, and everything was well-organized. Heads up It's a bit busy during peak times, but that's to be expected at a popular place. But when we came on a Saturday they were practically empty and lady made a joke not to come on the weekends so I assume normally it's a busy day or they dedicate it to stocking up since when we came I saw about 3 of the staff unboxing stuff. Overall, a really enjoyable experience with a charming atmosphere. I'll definitely be coming back next season!

Now that the kids are older, I heard that they have events for adults at night during fall weekends. I went Saturday night and really enjoyed myself. My wife did also, we made this event our date night and will most likely be back either on a date or with friends. All of the employees were extremely nice and the farm was lit up and decorated beautifully. The choices of food and drinks (alcohol and nonalcoholic) were great. Each food and beverage option was clearly thought out by the owners to make their guests get into the Autumn and Halloween season. There is a gift shop that is filled with country items and different little knickknacks and tasty bites. You enter through the store, so I would recommend buying your stuff before your night begins so they do not run out of stock. There were fires pits and a band that played all night. The band was perfect! They were not loud and just played the right type of music for the atmosphere. I have been to a lot of outside venues like this one and the bands are either too loud or play music that is "just not right". The band Pierson's had was very low key but were excellent musicians and the lead singer had a great voice and their choice of songs were perfect for the atmosphere. The prices for drinks, food and gift shop items are in line with prices at other events of this type in the area. Thank you Pierson's staff and owners for providing such a great event. Most of these are included in the price of admission except for the pony rides, apple cannon, and pumpkin picking. They sell apple cider donuts, beer, and some basic food. A nice feature is that there are proper bathrooms and sinks to wash up in here, in addition to the porta potties which is all that most farms have. We stopped on by…read morebecause the "sunflower maze" from last time was not a maze at all, and we knew Wright is an actual maze each year. With the entry fee paid, we decided to enjoy as much of the farm as we could. We looked at the petting zoo (not much to do, the goats were being happily fed already), the race course (all kids' vehicles, sadly), the apple cannon (extra fee, more fun to watch than to shoot we thought)... So you get the idea, adults maybe are more limited to the maze and the local products for sale in the payment area. So the maze: Like others have said, it's gotten overgrown. Unlike the top places (Cherry Crest in PA), Wright does not clear all the maze paths. It's not just hard to tell whether a path is a dead end or not, or whether it's actually a path or just a cut through some broken stalks; it's hard to just walk some of the paths due to the wet overgrown grass and weeds. Looking beyond path condition, there are two mazes (or at least were in 2025), an easier A and a harder B maze. The B maze was bigger but we were done in 10 minutes, and only had 3 clues to follow if we wanted to. (The solvable clues are "What is the answer to this question? A. Turn left. B. Turn right. C. Turn left." So even without knowing the anwer, just pick the choice that is different.) Jeez, the A maze must be super easy. Nope. We got hopelessly lost there. The one hint we needed to get ourselves found had 4 clues, two Turn Lefts and two Turn Rights. Without knowing the answer (what percent of... something), we kept finding ourselves back at this sign. The path conditions did not help us navigate, and unlike Cherry Crest, you don't get a maze puzzle to put together and help you get out, so you can actually get yourself very lost in there. Fortunately, we eventually found ourselves skipping ahead from Clue 2 to Clue 4, and made our way out a solid 45 sunburned minutes later. Fun story, right? So then we said, let's go catch a hayride while we're here. We were the only ones on, it took us up barely past the maze and then turned around. That was it, the pumpkin patch was just past the maze after all that. So I let my lady down... to incredible rudeness from the driver because we undid the latch and the stairs ourselves instead of waiting for him. I admit I should not have done that, but he should have been a TINY bit nicer about it. Verdict: Pumpkin patch yes. Kid stuff yes. Maze no. Service no. Nice little local collection of goods in the entryway. I will quote another review I see from another Elite: "This farm is nothing spectacular." But it's good enough to bring the kids for a half day out.
