At the start the guys seemed cool, but as the move went on their attitude changed. They started complaining about how much stuff I had even though I did a full intake with them beforehand and we already agreed on a price. They even started insinuating I should go to an ATM to pay them more money, which made me feel uneasy and was unprofessional since the rate was already set. I moved into a brand new building where I'm only the 3rd person on my floor. A hallway light fixture was broken during the move and they told me they didn't do it. However, management knocked on my door later saying they have them on camera breaking the light and damaging the walls. On top of the building damage, my vanity was broken, some furniture was scratched, and the monitor for my work computer is broken. I've asked repeatedly for their insurance information so we can resolve this, but they aren't responding. I believe I've been blocked now because my messages are no longer going through. Please reach out so we can resolve this.

I cannot explain the depth of gratitude I have for Mike and his team.  We had water damage in our…read morehome which caused our floors both tile and hardwood to be replaced.  We were blessed to meet with Mike Lohner from IMS Relocation to go over the process.  He was very nice and professional.  He worked well with the schedule our contractor (Richard Williams and Associates) had in place.  When the decision was made to start the packing process Tony, Warner and Lucio came to our home to pack up the  accessories, dishes, pictures, food etc.  They took pictures of everything stored inside of the cabinets, drawers, closets and also the pictures on the wall so they would know where to return everything.  They were so professional and very hard working.  Once they boxed everything up, they stacked the boxes neatly for the next crew to come and load onto the truck. Rito, Bobby and Ken came the next day to pack and load up all the furniture and the boxes.  They were so good!  They arrived in an 18 wheeler filled with individual containers. They loaded up each container until it was full and locked it in front of us.  It doesn't get unlocked until the furniture is returned.  Rito, Bobby and Ken had the best personalities and truly cared about what they were doing.  They made me feel like we had been friends for years!  There was also an electrician and and someone who disconnected the computer and TVs as well.  My apologies to them, I was not home when they came so I didn't get their names but everything was neatly done and I appreciate everything they did!   This has been an terrific experience for me and my family.  IMS really set the tone!  I have truly enjoyed the entire experience.  Everyone at IMS is terrific and I would highly recommend them to anyone who is in need of relocating in the future!

IMS did a great job moving me from Plano to Dallas. I recommended them for my sister's move from…read moreColorado to Frisco and it was a disaster. I do not normally post reviews of any kind, but the quality of the move, personnel involved in the move, and response to the problem prompted me to make others aware. In the move, her sofa and love seat were broken, with parts missing and one large key moving part just left on the floor! Her recliner was broken, with no efforts to try to fix it on-site. The crew was unprofessional, inexperienced, and obviously had no concern for how her furnishings were taken care of. Her home was left with a pile of broken leather furniture, decorative accessories, and an expensive, shattered smart TV. Worse, it took many, many calls just to get a claim form to resolve the issue. Despite finally answering my calls after paying over $8400 for the move, IMS responded with claim forms. I feel so bad that I recommended them for her move. Note to consumers: IMS acts as an agent for out of state moves and uses some of the worst large movers, like United Van Lines. I would not recommend them to move my dog house!

They came and unloaded everything, and while it still took about 8 hours to unload, it was due to being a person short, and they also charged less because of this. We ended up paying less than originally quoted, which was a nice bonus. We were given very clear instructions on packing, and we pointed out our valuable items to take special care of. Everything made it without being broken or damaged. I made the arrangements over the phone, so I did follow up in writing via email to make sure we both had everything correct regarding date, cost estimate, etc. On the day our goods were delivered, one of our new neighbors came out and asked if she could ask Don and the team to move a heavy desk out to her garage. She offered to pay them, but Don told us he'd do it without charging her to help us build up a good neighborly relationship. That was really nice of them. Overall a great experience, and we'd recommend them if you need reliable movers.

I genuinely hate leaving negative reviews for small businesses because I know how important reviews…read moreare. Unfortunately, I can't honestly recommend Christiano Moving Services after my experience. This is a long review, but it all comes full circle. For context, this is the exact message I sent when requesting a quote: "Hello, I hope all is well. May I please have a quote for a move this week on the 26th? I'll be moving about a small apartment's worth of stuff. Heavy items include a bed frame/mattress, nightstands, TV stand, couch + accent chairs, and coffee table set. The rest are boxes. I'll need a truck and move everything into a drive-up storage unit about 9 miles away." Their response: "Our rate for 3 men would be $150/hr and 2 men is $120/hr. 2 hour minimum + $60 trip fee. 2 men are for small apartment moves. 3 men required for 3rd floors. Our moves are all inclusive; gas, truck, mileage, experienced movers, furniture disassembly/reassembly, wrap, tape and moving pads." I replied: "So to confirm, 2 hours with 2 movers would be $240 + the $60 trip fee? And that includes wrapping furniture and disassembly if needed?" Their response: "Correct." That confirmation is the entire reason I booked them. My expectation was a $300 total, exactly as quoted. I had been shopping around for movers and was sold on the advertised "all-inclusive" pricing. Although...if it's "all-inclusive," why is there still a separate trip fee? But whatever. I moved forward. Moving day... My move was originally scheduled for 4:30 PM. I texted that morning to confirm, and only then was I told it needed to be pushed to 6:00 PM. Then at 5:16 PM, I was told they were still two hours away. When they finally arrived, there was no introduction, no apology, and no acknowledgment that they had already rescheduled me twice. The man I'm assuming is the owner also showed up with 2 additional movers, even though I specifically booked and was quoted for two. After looking around my place, he immediately complained, "You have a lot of stuff. You said you didn't have a lot." I reminded him that I specifically said a small apartment's worth of belongings, which is exactly what I had. He then said, "This is going to take a long time. It's late." ...it's late because YOU were late and rescheduled me twice. He then claimed the move would take 2 1/2-3 hours and attempted to charge me an additional $135, partly because he brought a third mover I never requested. At that point I felt cornered because I needed my belongings moved, so I reluctantly agreed. The advertised "all-inclusive" service also felt like a gimmick. They refused to move my TVs because they weren't boxed despite advertising wrapping. I wrapped my own mirrored coffee table to save time, and the only item they wrapped was the TV stand. At the storage unit, he complained (again) that everything wouldn't fit. It fit perfectly. I started a timer when they picked up the first box. The entire move took 1 hour and 40 minutes. Since there's a two-hour minimum, I expected to pay: 3 movers (2-hour minimum): $300 Trip fee: $60 Total: $360. Instead, he suddenly claimed there was a 3-hour minimum for three movers, a policy never mentioned in any of our messages. When I showed him our text conversation, he started scrolling through it like somehow the words were going to change. I told him, "I'm only going off exactly what you quoted me. Had your quote been different, I would've booked another company." He then started telling me he'd driven two hours, wasn't making money, his guys needed to get paid, and that he "didn't want to get home late." Respectfully, none of that has anything to do with me. Those are business planning issues, not customer responsibilities. Eventually he said, "At least give me $380. I need to make some money." Even after everything, I still planned to tip $10 per mover because I know what it's like running a small business. Instead of paying the $300 I was quoted, or even the $360 based on his own pricing (with the unrequested 3rd wheel), I paid $390. Did I get so much as a "thank you"? No. No apology. No acknowledgment that I'd just paid $90 more than the original quote. He simply walked away. He asked if I needed the gate opened. I said no. As he turned and walked away, I said, "Goodnight. Thank you. Drive safe." He ignored me, got in the truck, and drove away. This still isn't even everything that happened, but this review is already long enough. This was by far the most disappointing customer service experience I've had. The move itself got done, but the communication, professionalism, attitude from the moment they walked through the door, pricing inconsistencies, lack of accountability, and overall customer experience left me feeling completely taken advantage of.

For context, I've used Piece of Cake Storage multiple times in the past and have always had a professional, efficient experience with reasonable pricing. This time, I decided to go with a smaller local business, and I honestly regret that decision. The movers themselves were nice and respectful, so I want to acknowledge that. However, the overall execution of the move was very poor. I was not aware that the clock would be running continuously from the beginning of the first move through the entire process, including travel between locations, also, the movers handled personal business on the clock while I was being charged. My move was for a small one-bedroom apartment, everything was already packed, and I even assisted the movers throughout the process. Despite that, the first portion of the move took approximately four hours, and the second portion took another two hours. The total cost ended up being around $800, which was especially frustrating because I had been quoted approximately $200 less by a larger, more established moving company. I have used larger companies for moves of the same size that were completed efficiently within 3-4 hours, even with the movers handling the packing and furniture preparation. There were also several issues with the care of my belongings. The company did not provide any protective materials to cover my furniture. Multiple items in my unit were damaged, some of my furniture was damaged, and several belongings were left dirty. My mattress was not covered at all, and the bottom of it was left dirty. My bed was also reassembled incorrectly. On top of everything, the movers arrived approximately three hours late, and the entire process did not finish until around 11 PM. By the end of the night, the experience had become an exhausting mess. I did pay the full amount, and I appreciate that the movers were nice throughout the process. However, being nice does not make up for poor time management, damages, lack of protection for belongings, arriving three hours late, and an $800 bill for a small, already-packed one-bedroom move. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this company and will not be using them again. In hindsight, I should have gone with the larger company that was actually going to charge me $200 less and had a proven track record of completing my moves efficiently.
