Apple Support booked an appointment for me here and Justin was knowledgeable, patient and kind. Within 30 minutes, he had recovered my phone with no losses and I was on my way to do more shopping. I went into the store for assistance with Apple Account password reset. The guy that assisted us over a week ago, TJ was extremely helpful, exceptionally knowledgeable about the Apple product. He did everything within his power to help with a password reset process. We left that day without total resolve but was able to get a call with Apple Support representatives several days later after making an appointment for a callback. The Apple Support representative, Nadine was very helpful, she was able to provide us with the information and details that were needed to get the password problem resolved once and for all. Tomorrow will tell the story! I was unaware that the Apple Store provided the same service and that they also could have been helpful with promos. read more

This location has lots of friendly employees that are happy & ready to help! I've also experienced great customer service at this location. Given that MacArthur location is closed, it's helpful to schedule an appointment if you are afraid of wait times. We love to explore all the latest gadgets & test the camera features lol read more

Waiting well over an hour numerous employees standing around not really doing anything seems pretty bizarre to me.

I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction and dismay regarding a recent service experience and product issue concerning an iPad purchased from your company. This matter, which has now escalated to involve executive management, remains unresolved and reflects a concerning breach of trust. Despite being acquired as a brand-new device, significant operational issues began to manifest within six months of its purchase, a timeframe I find unacceptable for a new product. I subsequently brought the iPad to your store for assistance. During this visit, a store representative clearly acknowledged the device's faulty condition, leading me to believe the issue would be appropriately addressed--either through a repair or a replacement with a new unit. However, the situation took a disturbing turn upon collection. My husband, who retrieved the iPad, was presented with what was unmistakably the *exact same faulty unit* I had originally submitted. The unequivocal proof lay in the customized back cover of the iPad, which holds deeply personal and sentimental value as it commemorates my late mother. This deliberate return of a marked, defective item, under the guise of service or replacement, constitutes a severe misrepresentation and is emotionally distressing. *Also, JOSH, did not want to let the brown box go. *Adding to our concern, my husband reported a peculiar interaction with the employee, identified as Josh, during the pickup. According to my husband, Josh appeared unusually hesitant to release the device and maintained an uncomfortable stare, raising immediate suspicions about the integrity of the exchange. This incident is particularly galling given that I have already escalated this issue to senior levels, engaging with the CEO and an executive named Thomas, who was designated as my liaison to facilitate the provision of a new iPad. Despite these high-level assurances, the problem persists, and I am still without the functional, new device that I was promised and for which I paid. I demand an immediate and definitive resolution to this matter. I expect to receive a genuinely new, fully operational iPad as a direct replacement for the defective unit. The repeated failures to rectify this situation, coupled with the evident lack of transparency and the emotional impact of this deception, are entirely unacceptable. I anticipate your prompt and decisive action to rectify this egregious service failure. All I have been doing is putting out fires with "POOR CUSTOMER SERVICES", since moving to Virginia read more

I was surprised they had a location at Va Beach and headed over to the Lynnhaven mall on a Sunday around 11:30. Shortly after they opened so no wait. Was greeted by the expert as soon as I walked up. He Listened, asked questions and quickly had me conduct a safety check which answered my questions/concerns. After leaving, remembered I had a second question about iTunes. Again, no wait and got a different expert. This one required colleague consultation and I got an answer shortly after. Overall, solid service and I've had my questions answered and needs met whenever I visit the Apple Store. read more

This week, I went in to try on the airpod max over the ear wireless headphones. The noise cancelling part is so strange I feel like my ears need to be popped like riding on an airplane or driving in the mountains. I did not like it. I was literally just pointed to the airpod max as soon as I came in. This location is always swarming with people in it. I didn't like how I was not guided how to use the technology. I tried to figure it out, but got frustrated and ended up leaving. I may try it again another day but, I am pretty positve that I won't be bying the airpod max wireless headphones. read more

I have not been to the Apple store in the Mall. I am 85 years old. I have an Apple phone that I purchased from the Verizon store near the mall in Chesapeake. I bought the phone there because it is not too far from my home. I did not realize that I would have to go to another store for help with the phone. Today, I went to this store expecting help. I did not receive help. I am not very computer or phone literate. I need some help. I would appreciate an email lbrimmer61@gmail.com from someone who can help me. Thank you. Louise read more

I stopped by The Apple Store at Lynnhaven Mall today to check out the Black Friday Sale. It was surprisingly not too crowded. There were plenty of sales staff there to help customers who had questions or who wanted suggestions on the latest Apple products. They also had security guards at the front door in case they were needed. Great service, selection and a very good overall experience. read more

I come to Apple in Lynnhaven a lot! I'm gonna hold on a 4 star as my visits have been overall above average. My most recent had an issue with a charging chord purchased over the Summer, it stopped working. I did not have the receipt and oddly it could not be found by email. With manager approval it was replaced. Also my most recents the past few months have seen beefed up staff. Always a great thing in my book. With the closure of the McArthur store In Norfolk this is the only option outside of Richmond I'm aware of. read more

Before I begin let me start off by saying that this review is based solely upon my personal experiences and my personal experiences alone, so with that being said let's start!. My wife and I came here to return both of our Apple Pencil Pro because we ordered on line, actually my wife ordered her pencil on line and I ordered mine through the Apple Store app! But that's neither here nor there but I felt I should add that small tidbit to my review! Our reason for the return was because the Apple Pencil Pro wasn't compatible with our IPad Pro 11 generation 4 so we decided to return them because this was the quickest way to get our refund. You may ask why didn't we return them and get the pencil that is compatible with our iPad, well because we had our initials engraved on the pencil on line and through the app and we wanted the pencils that we returned the other ones for to be engraved too and to my knowledge they don't engrave them in store, otherwise the Apple employee would've advised us about it when we told him the pencils we were returning were engraved. So after he scanned our pencils in and we typed our email addresses in the scanner phone he had scanned our pencils with so that we would get an email receipt for our return!. The transaction was simple and fast, so if you ever need to return any Apple merchandise that you purchased on line, or through the app then this is your quickest way to go for a fast refund back to your original purchase card!. Hopefully I won't have to return for this reason but if I do or for any other reason then I will definitely return!. And so should you if needed!. read more

We paid for 2 iPhone 16 models in person at this Apple Store in the Lynnhaven Mall in Virginia Beach. In addition we bought a protective case for each phone and a power adapter and a charge cable. We requested a screen protector for each phone and the salesman person suggested we purchase a BELKIN ULTRAGLASS SPS for iPHONE 16. These two cost 39.95 each and would be replaced as needed at no additional cost for as long as we had the phones. Unfortunately BELKIN did not honor that guarantee and Apple did not lend any assistance when I called their customer service number and also called the store. I told them I wanted a refund of both BELKIN Plans because after six weeks of trying to resolve the issue through BELKIN and APPLE I had to purchase screen protectors through Amazon. To date I have not received a refund but was told we could visit the store again to explain what the problem is. The problem is that Apple recommended the BELKIN screen protector program and when the screen protector cracked, neither Apple nor BELKIN would refund the full cost back to my AMEX Account. Now I have to file a formal complaint with AMEX to dispute the charge. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM APPLE, especially when we have purchased all of our computers, phones, and all related electronic products exclusively since 2010. We have also purchased almost exclusively BELKIN products as need. So BELKIN DOESN'T STAND UP TO THEIR CUSTOMER SATISFACTION COMMITMENT EITHER. Bob M. This Apple store is the only location that I am aware of in the area, so I headed to Lynnhaven Mall in search of upgrading my phone to the latest model. I went at opening and there were already a dozen people waiting around the shop to open. The store is quite large, with all the toys and gadgets Apple offers. Luckily, the store was well staffed and I was cared for by an Apple rep right away. Bobby was really nice, informative and super helpful. He gave me all the tips and instructions to make a smooth transition from my old phone to my new one. I placed the order online to pick up in store and they gave me a designated time window to pick up. I left to eat and came back at the specified time and the order was ready. I was helped by various other reps at the point who were really helpful in walking me every step of the way to make sure my phone was set up the way I wanted! Some things to note: - If you're military, they offer a discount exclusively online. You must place the order and get verified with the ID.ME and they will apply the discount. You can pick up in store or get it shipped to you! - If you are trading in your phone, you must complete the transfer and they must erase the phone in your presence before you are allowed to leave. - I didn't know this, but I had a 12 Pro Max and for iPhone 15, APPLE CHANGED THE TYPE OF CHARGER. AGAIN. Apple, STOP IT, LOL/not LOLing. Let's now stick to this one shall we? Overall, I'll definitely go back to get all my iPhone needs! Enjoy, Friends and never stop exploring! read more

Had an appointment, still waited two hours to see someone to repair my MacBook. Even with my warranty and Apple Care, they refused to honor it. This place cares more about new sales than people they've already made sales to who received a bunk product. Entire staff should be replaced. read more

So - not sure why so many people had problems with this place, but for me it worked out just fine. I made an appointment online since I was driving over from Newport News. They were ready for me at my appointment time, and my sales representative was knowledgable and quick. I knew pretty much what I was looking for when I went in (a replacement for an old iPhone 7 that unfortunately can't keep up with the latest software updates) - asked a few questions for what I would need and went on from there. Could I have gotten everything cheaper elsewhere? Yes. But was it worth it to have a couple tech guys help me transfer all my phone content, back everything up, and point me to the right accessories that would be compatible with my new phone? Yes. Was it SUPER loud and annoyingly crowded? Yes. But they also were doing random demonstrations of different products which was kind of cool while I was waiting for everything to get hooked up. Overall, the experience was fine and if I need a new phone in the future, I'll probably go back here again (though I'm hoping the one I picked out will last me for many, many years and I will not have to do so). read more

Iphone is a TIME SUCK all the way around. Even with an appointment, the wait was about an hour. I only have an iphone Apple product, because at the time, it was a way to take my own phone to use with Visible as a carrier. The phone is crap. It doesn't have a simple back button, and I waste so much time going back swiping. Virginia Beach is a long way for me to go to get service wasting gas, time and paying a huge toll. The charge is finicky, and sometimes it doesn't charge. My charging port was determined to be fine. The camera pics are much poorer compared to a much older Galaxy model. I'm dumping this iphone on Amazon and will never purchase another Apple product. read more

Some of the tech/sales reps are complete fraud! Went in there because we kept getting a SIM card error on the phone and couldn't get service. They set an appt for almost an hour later. The technical lady comes out, and immediately says phone has water damage and I need a new $1300 iphone and instantly start selling me on a new iphone. I told her to stop, we are not buying a new phone and just wanted more answers on the SIM card issue. She then says my iPhone 13 Pro is old and is about to go out permanently. Instantly left, went down the hall to the Verizon store. They replaced the SIM card with an electronic SIM card and phone has been working great ever since, with no issue! WTH is going on at the Lynnhaven Mall location. Absolutely awful! Untrustworthy, just want a sale! Would give them 0 stars if that was an option. read more

Upgraded to the new iPhone 16 Pro and was fully expecting Saturday the day after the release to be a mess. We got there about 15 minutes before our check-in time. We got through the line and into the store in about 10 minutes. We traded in 3 phones and bought 3 new phones, as well as setup all 3 phones and was done and out of the store in less than 45 minutes. I'd say that was well organized for being the release weekend. read more

Apparently you can't leave a review for these guys on google. So, be warned. These ass hats will ask you to set an appointment when you walk in. Told them I my old iPhone needed a new screen. Showed the guy and he set an appointment, 1.5 hours later or loitering patiently, the same guy comes over and asks me questions just to tell me they don't have that screen in stock. This location has been here about 3 years. I really think that we needed this to supplement the MacArthur location which is smaller and has an overwhelming amount of customer traffic. The Virginia Beach location is maybe 2/3 larger than the Norfolk location (1 table wide vs. 3 tables wide). Hampton Roads is incredibly fortunate to have two apple stores within 20 miles of each other. Over the years I've had a number of good experiences here. Even when the news or diagnosis was not what I wanted the customer service experience was always above par. After a frustrating situation that required that my iMac be serviced, Stephen from the east coast helped me get my iMac back on track. In addition to making sure that everything was exactly as it needed to be before I left he provide excellent tips for checking how full my computer was, checking file sizes and explained how to clear space which is essential to improving performance. Roswell put my iMac on a cart and wheeled it all the way out to my car which was very much appreciated. Several days before mom and I had struggled to bring that heavy 27 in desktop in for repair. When I was thinking about a new purchase I came in several times over a period of months to learn as much as possible and ask tons of questions. I asked similar questions of each expert & specialist and with every visit I became more educated. Every employee was a wealth of information and eagerly shared all that they knew. This Apple location is great at hiring just the right employees (geniuses, experts, specialists, creatives). They employ many creatives here: artist, painters, photographers, musicians, fashion designers etc. This makes them more helpful. Someone knows just what you need to make your work/life easier because they use the same devices and programs. Kudos to these great employees: Mack, Opal, Roswell, Stephen, Andrew, Eric, Ashlie and Tommy. LOCATION TIP: if you don't want to walk much through the mall, park and enter at Forever 21. The second closest entrance is Macy's. nearest interior stores are Sephora and Altar'd State. BONUS: there is a seating area right in front of the store complete with a charging station. read more

It's not very often I visit the Apple Store. It's always crowded and trying to get help can be a challenge. Recently though, I had to stop into the store twice in one week. Both visits: 5 stars. I placed an order online for a pair of AirPods and within half an hour I got an email that it was ready for pickup, which was perfect timing since I was already nearby. Ashli immediately greeted me as soon as I walked in. I assumed I had to go straight to the Genius Bar to pick up my item. As I walked past her and mentioned it to her, she said "I can help you with that!" Wow. Okay. Before she even had me sign for my purchase someone from the back came out and my order was ready to go! How easy was that?? Later I realized after all that I didn't need to purchase an entire brand new set of AirPods, you can actually pay for a replacement if you lose one, which is $69. So the next day, I went back to return them. The employee who helped me this time, Ryan, assisted me right away and was super friendly and efficient with the entire return process and only took just a couple of minutes. I was really happy with the two visits I had to make, it couldn't have gone any better! read more

Been meaning to trade-in my old iPhone 6 that's been laying around in my closet for a year+. This could've been done online, but I didn't feel like waiting a week or so. Came by right around opening and was put on the list to be serviced about 5 minutes later. Unfortunately I wasn't ready, so I had to wait for my old phone to charge up and then erase it. The guy helping me told me to flag down anyone to assist me once it turned on, but that was somewhat of a problem since everyone is busy. Also, didn't want to interfere with their schedule so I had to go back up to the check-in person and be put on the list again. After about 30-35 minutes I was helped again and it only took about 5-7 minutes, thankfully! I was able to trade in my iPhone 6 for $90 in which they put on a gift card. Disclaimer: If you visit the store for service as a walk-in be prepared to wait! Of course they can service you, but others who made appointments weeks ago are definitely priority. read more

****Terrible Customer Service****We came to this Apple store to trade in our son's old Macbook for a newer Macbook. We were directed to "Tori" at the "Macbook table" we looked at the MAC we thought would be best for our son and waited for Tori to finish up with a customer she was helping. Not once did she acknowledge us. So as she was wrapping up and we were still waiting an older gentleman came to the table and started looking at Macbooks. After she finished she immediately asked the older gentleman if he needed help. The older gentleman then told her he believed we were waiting first. She then started assisting us. However during our transaction she allowed herself to be interrupted by other customers who just walked up and started talking. I was so pissed off I had to walk out because clearly she saw us and clearly she ignored us. My husband finished the transaction with her but I am considering cutting my ties with Apple. She did not apologize or anything. The thing that was so bothersome was that we are the same ethnicity as her. Also, I could not find a way to offer feedback about their stores which is telling to their concern for customer service in these establishments. A product cannot make up for how you treat your customers. read more

Ryan and Daniel were extremely patient and helpful with my transition to a newer iPhone. It took a bit of maneuvering from my old one to the iCloud, then from the cloud to my new phone. I spent a good 6 hours at the store getting my data backed up, but it is done and they were completely patient and professional! Moral of the story is if your phone says you're due for an update, don't delay and UPDATE!!! This was truly an exercise in patience and self-restraint. Honestly, it's best to get an appointment versus just walking in. It gets extremely busy no matter what time of day. So book an appointment as I did. The staff is top-notch. Very helpful and knowledgeable! They have classes for those who would like to be able to tap the full potential of their purchase, so by all means sign up! read more

My beloved airpod pros were starting to tick, rattle, and buzz every time used them, I was able to make it work for a few days but couldn't take it another week so I made an appointment to get them checked since I had applecare. Ro helped me with the guidance of his trainer for that day, he was extremely friendly and personable. He was Clear with his questions and what would need to be done, essentially he kept me on the same page with him throughout the whole process. His kind demeanor and confidence was extremely reassuring and made me a little less stressed about my AirPods issue. After about 20 minutes of testing he was able to figure out that I simple needed new AirPods as they failed multiple tests in the back. He quickly got my new ones in my case, we got them synced and I was on my way. I've visited this store a few times and admit I'm shocked there are two so nearby to one another since MacArthur Center also has an Apple Store... but this is easier for me since I live in Virginia Beach. My most recent visit was for an Apple watch and I pretty much knew what I wanted but am not familiar with the watch so asked for an in-store demonstration from the Apple rep. He provided a pretty good intro and answered some basic questions. My husband ended up buying one for himself too bc he would've been jealous of mine so we got two watched and he got an upgraded band for his. We also added the apple care in case we break them somehow which means replacement is much cheaper. This store is easy to find in the mall, always spotless, and staffed with Apple's customary efficient and friendly nerdy employees that I have come to love so well whenever I visit any store. They sell tons of apple accessories for your goodies and have pretty much all the products you'd need or want from the website. I have also utilized this store for a replacement/swap of my iPhone last summer when the fingerprint scanner stopped working. The employees inside were very helpful and friendly and one of the managers went well out of his way to try to help me download and update all the info on my phone before we swapped since I had no backed it up recently. He spent a few hours trying to help me with that despite the fact that they normally have nothing to do with it anymore. A+ apple. I'm staying loyal. read more
