I purchased a used vehicle here several months ago and it came with their Customer for Life program. It includes a list of services like oil changes and tire rotations. Since it was free a brought my vehicle in for both. Unfortunately the service is only for the quick lane option so you can't make an appointment in advance. I got in today around 0900 am and they said it was running about a hour and a half to two hours to be completed. I didn't have anything going on so I didn't mind waiting. The waiting area had several comfortable seats, a TV, and free coffee. The only option for food was vending machines. In this day the car wash was out of service so I wan not able to take advance of that option. After two hours I was still waiting. Over all it was ok. I do prefer a place that takes appointments so I don't have to dedicate an entire day. I will Ronald Only use them for the free service. read more

Let me start off with saying I would never have bought a vehicle from Apple if I read the reviews prior to purchase. Lesson learned. If you have other options for purchasing, I strongly suggest you utilize them. I bought a vehicle and two months later the dealership calls and texts me that they "can't find" the documents to get my veterans discount. Since too much time has passed since purchase, I was unable to get the correct documents from the ford discount website. Guess who had to pay $515? Me. Total clown show. I bought a used car from Apple Ford less than 2 months ago. After signing the contract they gave me a key. I asked where the second key was and they then told me it only came with one. When I complained I was told I could just pay to get a new one made. Why should I have to pay over $400 to get a key made that should have been included with the car? Come on, lets get real. Since I did not end up buying a car from Apple Ford, I cannot speak on their warranty/customer retention program, service center, or car reliability. I am only sharing my experience. There are other reviews from customers you can read on here. The Good: Kilmar, the salesman was really wonderful! He was knowledgeable, professional and had a great personality. They have a lot of cars, probably the most inventory of used Fords that I've seen around. All of the cars I saw on the lot were clean and in really good shape. Their Apple Ford customer program/warranty seems amazing, like they really care about and take care of their customers. My Mom's friend has bought multiple cars from Apple Ford and hasn't said anything bad about them. Kilmar was really nice and had an answer to every question and worry we had about their warranty/customer retention program. I get it, sometimes people have bad experiences, or don't keep up with their end of taking care of their car. I test drove one car, it was really nice inside, it felt like I was sitting in a brand new car. It road beautifully too. The price and OTD price was more than I was willing to spend. If I had more time to save for a larger down payment, I probably would have bought it, but money talks and cars on this lot don't sit around for long! Kilmar even took extra time to show us another car on the lot that I might be interested in. The Bad: During our visit, as we waited for the salesperson to get keys on some cars, a man in a truck drove by, stopped my Mom and I and told us not to buy from them, that their warranty was a "scam." He waved the warranty brochure and was very passionate about letting us know his thoughts on Apple Ford. Allegedly, he bought a car or truck from the dealership and wasn't happy with the service department and warranty program and he had the car being fixed at a different shop. That's certainly not a good look for the business, regardless of if this man was actually a customer or not. The car that I looked at initially smelled like smoke. It was clean and very nice inside, it just was clearly previously owned by a smoker. The salesperson said he could get the smoke smell out (I've been told this before at other dealerships, so it's not only an Apple Ford thing). I wasn't in love with that car so the smoke smell deterred me. I did not end up test driving that car. I did sit in a bunch of cars and that car was the only one that smelled bad. The rest smelled clean. But, that's the nature of buying used cars and I'm sure every dealership has those cars from time to time. The Conclusion: Ultimately I ended up buying another car from a different dealership. It was a matter of timing and price. The reviews on the dealership don't help instill trust in their customer retention program/warranty. I want to give Apple Ford the benefit of the doubt and hope that they will address these reviews and make whatever changes to their service that they need. It's nice to see a family owned business in the community and everyone I interacted with that works at Apple Ford was nice and personable. When I told Kilmar that I was no longer in the market and had purchased from another dealership, he wrote me back a nice message. I get all of my car's maintenance done here. The customer service is top tier. I had an issue a week or so ago where my car had an open recall on it and the recalled part failed. The fine folks at Apple for towed my car to their shop fixed the issue and brought the car back to me in 36 hours. Amazing!!! I'm a customer for life. read more

One service adviser stated they had no availability for a week, happened to call back to schedule later and the other adviser said "oh yeah we can do it anytime this week". So why the shenanigans? Their "free car wash" just sprays water on your car and doesn't actually clean the car. It's been this way for years now- so why bother? Is anyone paying attention at this dealership? Since Ford vehicles need service almost as frequently as German cars, service dept quality is important. If I could leave 0/5 review I would. I purchased a 2018 Ford F150 from Apple ford approximately two years ago. After a few months I noticed a rattle/ gargle noise coming from the engine. I reported the issue multiple times to the service department. They insisted nothing was wrong with the vehicle and that I continue to get routine maintenance. Well every 2-3 months (aside from twice where I had the oil changed at Jiffy Lube full synthetic) I'd bring the vehicle in for oil, tire rotation, transmission fluid flush, etc but the service department continued to assure me nothing was wrong with the engine. I found multiple YouTube videos describing the same issue with the V8 5.0L engine. Well fast forward to Feb 3, 2026 engine sounds horrible, going up hill could hear the engine noise even more. Check engine light came on, I immediately called Apple Ford, they said drop it off on Thursday so I did. Report come back, "abnormal/excessive" oil consumption, the engine had no oil in it. Yet there are no visible signs of oil leaking, the service member Mo even stated, "we can't find any oil leaks."Last oil change was late November/ early December. The service member who I was not going to mention but will now because of his rude final interaction with me is name Mo (mentioned above) who proceeding to state that it's not Apple ford but my insurance company that is rejecting the claim due to service records. My question is then whose insurance company is paying for the "customer for Life?" Apple Ford used the "customer for Life" as a massive selling benefit and quite frankly the only reason I purchased from them. I guess I should have learned my lesson when I had my Ford Explorer serviced by Apple ford, never had a good experience. All in all there are obviously issues with this engine and Apple Ford is not holding up there end of the bargain. I bought a used 2020 Roush Nightmare and after registering it with Roush i received an emission recall notice. I called every single Ford/Roush and Ford dealership in the entire Virginia, Maryland and Washington DC area and everyone thru me to the curb with blame games and excuses even if they knew that Roush would reimburse them for labor fees. When i called Apple Ford and spoke with Moe Barrera i was told that all i needed to do is schedule it ahead since i live 45 miles away. On the appointed day I was in and out in less than 2 hours and everyone in the dealership was pleasant and very nice. They have a special separate High-Performance department bay to Super Charge your car or truck (705 HP). Now my Nightmare run's incredibly well. Arrived at the "Quick Lane" for an oil change at 7:00 AM, when they opened. Assuming it would take maybe 1 hour, I sat down and waited. At 9:00 AM I asked how much longer it would take and they had no idea and could not care less. Ended-up taking a shuttle home, still waiting... It would have been very easy to just tell me it was going to take half-a-day or more, it would have been no problem and I would have just planned accordingly. Update. Just discovered that I was mislead even more. So I received a mailer from Ford offering extended warranty coverage. Well, I wonder why am I receiving such, since I was told by the dealer that I got good at any Ford Dealer Ford Lifetime PowerTrain, and I purchased a good at any dealer Ford Bumper to Bumper unlimited months 150,000 warranty. I contacted Ford to find out that I don't have either with them. So I discovered after talking to the Ford HQ rep: the Apple Ford offers a lifetime powertrain warranty with their new sales. The way they talk about it, it sounds like it is a Ford Lifetime powertrain warrany--it's NOT. Furthermore, the plan requires you to register on another website..that doesn't work, won't let you register, and requests that you submit documents via certified mail to some California address, but it doesn't say what documents to send. The website is worthless. I have tried to reach someone and left message, but Apple Ford won't answer their phones. Now this is a product that they didn't "charge me" for...but was included in their pricing, so I feel I am limited on what I can do...HOWEVER I am very perturbed that I was sold an extended warranty that was verbally said a Ford extended warranty...because I asked. We purchased this vehicle from out of state. So many issues after the sale...that we were flat out lied to regarding what was included with the truck and the warranty. First, I want to say that I have been a customer of Apple Ford for many years, decades even. My sons were little when they had the popcorn machine in the lobby. They always wanted to go to Apple Ford with me whenever I planned to go. Over the years, my sons had grown up. They needed vehicles, too. So, again we have been Apple Ford customers for generations... well, mine and my sons' generations. One of my sons recently had issues with his Ford Taurus SHO. He diligently researched YouTube videos, ran a FixD diagnostic, and even hired a professional mechanic to run a thorough diagnostic with advanced tools. He tried everything to get the vehicle working, but nothing resolved the issue. He bought a new batter, changed the spark plugs, and replaced the air filter. He bought a couple parts (Fuel Pump Relay Module, Direct Injection High Pressure Fuel Pump) from Apple Ford that cost him about $1,000. My son doesn't make much money, but he was determined to fix his vehicle. He finally gave up and had it towed to Apple Ford. It took them a couple days, but they told him that 2 cylinders had low compression, and it would cost $10,000 to replace the engine block. Okay, so what are the options? Well, it cannot stay on the lot or Apple Ford would start charging storage fees. Okay, no biggie. He asked about trading it in on a used car off their lot. Afterall, the vehicle Blue Books around $16,000. Surely, subtracting the cost of a new engine ($10,000) would net approximately $6,000 for the good parts of the vehicle. Remember the parts he purchased from Apple Ford remain on the vehicle, and the original parts (which are likely still good) are also in the vehicle somewhere. The very best Apple Ford could do was give him $500 (Yes, five hundred) credit toward an overpriced user vehicle on the lot. read more

I have purchased four cars from Apple in my lifetime, each time the customer service has dropped considerably. One of the major selling points was the lifetime oil change and service perks. The last three times I have tried to get my "quick lane oil change" done I dropped off my vehicle before 9am and it was not ready by 6pm... the dealership kept the car overnight and it was not looked at until til after I called the next day at noon. The second and third time I simply picked up my car and had the oil changed at a service station in under 30 minutes. When I was called and asked what happened the service director told me "this is highly unusual". After three bad attempts it's in me for trying to get my "free" oil change. This review is long but I had a much longer one prepared. So just know that anything you read here may be missing details that paint a much clearer picture as to how I have been mistreated by this dealership. Since I am limited I will stick to the bullet points: -I have been a loyal Apple Ford customer for almost two decades. I have purchased and traded in 5+ vehicles with them over the years -My check engine light came on. I took my vehicle in for a diagnostic check. They said the car needed repairs but advised me it was ok to drive my vehicle when it wasn't. -My vehicle violently seized up on me on Christmas Day with my entire family in the car while going 70mph because I was driving it based on their advice. -They knew of an existing engine design flaw that was causing failure but never disclosed it to me. This flaw was so great that Lincoln redesigned the engine and we're replacing them. They never told me about this. -They sold me a warranty when I purchased the car and then told me that because of the design flaw my warranty would surely cover my engine replacement. They said they couldn't see why it wouldn't be covered -When it wasn't covered they told me not to bother trying to call the warranty company. That it never gets overturned. And that I owed them $1700 for engine tear down. And that they wouldn't put it back together unless I paid $1,500 more. -They said I should purchase with them and they would give me $1000 for my car that was in pieces. Scrap value of the car was $3250 -They offered me a $300 discount on a vehicle that they were attempting to make multiple thousands of dollars of profit on. They did this even though they were the reason I was in the situation to begin with, my vulnerable situation, and despite our past business dealings. -I was able to get the warranty decision overturned without any automotive repair know how even though they advised me against it. -After my car was repaired they attempted to overcharge me for labor far above industry standards. They also tried to charge me for parts and repairs they never got my approval for. The warranty company wouldn't cover these overages so they attempted to pass them on to me. -When I asked for an explanation of charges they wouldn't provide them -They told me they would never "release" my car unless I paid them everything -They left me stranded at night at the dealership an hour from home with no way to get there because I wouldn't pay their false bill -without a way home I took my own car and spoke to them at the beginning of next week -They threatened me with criminal charges even though no such law exists to criminally charge me for taking my own vehicle. -I told them I still wanted to pay if they could just explain the charges. I sent them multiple messages which they ignored. They refused to explain the charges -Instead They had their lawyer send me threatening emails which assassinated my character. -Since I refused to be taken advantage of we are now going to court where they're suing me for $2000 even though my final bill was $900. -They've already made 8k plus in service charges from warranty reimbursements -In summation: I was a loyal customer for decades and since I was in a vulnerable situation they tried to take advantage of me at every turn. They mismanaged my claim, tried to charge me way over market value for a used car, undervalued my trade by thousands, and then when I was able to overturn the claim they've tried to falsify my bill for thousands of dollars. Now we're going to court because I dared to ask for an explanation of my charges. Imagine what they will do to people who haven't purchased and traded over 5 vehicles with them. On 2/15/2024 I contacted Apple Ford Lincoln located at 8800 Stanford Blvd, Columbia, MD. I spoke with sales representative, David, regarding a new 2024 black Mustang GT Premium bearing vin #1FA6P8CF4R5417003, MSRP $56,200.00. (26 miles on the odometer) After discounts and promotions we agreed on the price of $50,776.00 not including tax and tags. I put a $5,000 credit card deposit down. I secured a cashiers check for the balance, $45,796.00 Its important to note that prior to my deposit I asked David if the Mustang was damage or had any respray on it, he stated, no. On 2/19/24, I rented a car from Enterprise and drove from Central NJ to Apple Ford (160 miles). I arrived in Columbia and dropped the car off. I walked to Apple Ford which was a half mile away. Upon arrival I met David. A few moments later I found myself inside the Finance manager's office without seeing the Mustang. I was asked to sign the paper work. I told the manager I can't give him the cashiers check until I see the Mustang. Upon further action I saw the Mustang. I immediately observed uneven gaps from the hood to the front bumper. I also observed uneven gaps from the hood to the front quarter panels above the wheel wells. There was also a large gap under the driver's side headlamp. I also observed green marker writing inside the front bumper near the front driver's wheel well. I asked David if the car was hit and he stated, no, but we have a body shop here, we can bring it inside and ask them. David also stated there was no record of the car being damaged or repainted. Upon further action we went for a test drive. I decided to stop at a local body shop. A body repair specialist confirmed that the front of the Mustang was indeed damaged and somewhat repaired. He also discovered a large knot above the driver's side wheel well near the hood and stated, that was very concerning. He said he does not know the extent of damage unless he removes the front bumper. Ethically, Apple Ford should have told me the new 2024 Mustang GT Premium was damaged. Sadly they did not. (The repairs are not on CARFAX, Apple Ford Lincoln did not report it) Why was I rushed into signing paper work without first seeing the Mustang?? The more concerning question is did Apple Ford violate Maryland's Automotive Dealer Law, which states the dealer is required to tell the consumer if the damage and repairs total more than 3 percent of the MSRP. So $56,200 x 3% = $1,686. How much does a 2024 Mustang GT bumper cost including paint and labor? Probably a lot more than that. Did Apple Ford lower the repair costs when they put the Mustang through their body shop ? Did Apple Ford do just enough repair to keep the cost below $1,686. Remember the large concerning knot is still there. I did not purchase the Mustang. I had to rent another car to get home. As a retired Police Officer who held the rank of Detective I DO NOT RECOMMEND APPLE FORD LINCOLN. Please stay away from this dealer. I took my car in that I bought from them at 36k miles. Seems like the back calipers failed. Charged me $800 even though I had an extended warranty. I called a ford Corporate. They quickly refunded me the difference minus a few stuff so I ended up paying about $200. Ok. They said we're sorry, we'll give you a free detail. Took the truck in, they said give us 10 minutes! I was like for a detail. They washed the outside and didn't even dry it!!! I call Derrick and he apologizes and says we'll make it happen. It's been 4 months and I've been trying to get this detail THEY PROMISED. I'm only writing this yelp review because I know that is the best way of getting to them. They care so mich about their reviews but not the actual customer 2/20/20 Just left service at quick lane. Told me my fog lamps were out $600 to replace. I came outside to check, they turned on just fine! Went back inside and was like they are working just fine. He then tries to tell me that they can magically start working again. Updating my previous review: We recently returned to Apple to order a car from the factory, and were glad to work with John Schueler again as our salesperson. John is very customer-focused, straightforward and no-pressure. The entire ordering process took about half an hour. Pricing was transparent and met our expectations. The car arrived at the dealership less than four weeks later, and was exactly as we ordered it. Apple's offer on my trade-in was right in line with my research. In the finance department, Ty got us a slightly better offer than my credit union had pre-approved. All the paperwork and approvals took less than an hour. In summary, we're happy with our new car and with the deal we got. I've had only good experiences with Apple Ford as a dealership and with their sales and service staff since I first purchased a car from them in 2012. read more

I have been coming to this dealership March 2022. This is the first time I had a bad experience. I had a check engine light come in my lincoln. So I called the dealership in early July and they told me the first appointment available was in a couple of weeks. So my appointment was scheduled for Tuesday July 25th. I dropped off my car tuesday morning along with the paperwork from the warranty company. The advisor told me he would call me that afternoon to give me an update on what is going on. I did not hear from him until Thursday afternoon. He told me both of the turbos are blown and that he contacted the warranty company and they will be sending someone to do their analysis and provide an approval according to him it should take a couple of days. I waited another day with no response. I called the warranty company on Monday, and they informed me that they approved the claim and they emailed the dealership. So I called my service advisor at the dealership multiple times with no response. Tuesday morning I recieved a voicemail from the service advisor. In the voicemail he was telling about a rattling noise in my car that he couldnt find. I was confused by the voicemail, so I called back, and apparently he confused me with another customer with the same car. SO when we straightened everything out, he says "Good news, the warranty company came by and did their analysis, and now we are waiting for their approval." I told him that I spoke with the warranty company and they said they emailed the the approval. So thats when he looked in his email and found the approval. He said the next step is to check on the availability on the parts and he will get back to me. Well here comes another 2 days of trying to contact him and get an update. Finally I was able to reach him this afternoon, and he confused me with another customer again. So once we straighten things out again, he said he would check on the availability of the parts while I stayed on hold. I was on hold for about 15 min, and he finally came back and said "The parts are special order and will take 5 to 7 days". So at this point I'm thinking "why hasnt the parts been ordered yet". So we got off the phone and I called back the dealership and spoke to the parts department. The parts department confirmed that they did have the parts in stock, however they told me it is readily available in the warehouse and takes 1 day to ship. I have been without my car for 10 days. That's fine, but what is making me upset is the lack of communication and the lack of customer service. Who knows if the parts have been ordered and who knows when I will actually get my car back. Update: I received my car back on august 19th after they replaced both turbos and both exhaust manifolds. I drove my car for about a week, and my check engine light came on again. We negotiated a deal to purchase a truck. We are not local so we scheduled a time to come pick it up, secured a cashiers check for the purchase price and confirmed an appointment the next morning to purchase and pick up the truck. 15 minutes before getting in the car to come purchase the vehicle, we were told they sold the truck from under us. Carmax was much higher than everyone at 8k but when I brought it in they dropped the price dramatically. I'd been in touch with Daniel from the used car buying department. He said "bring it by whenever and we'll give you a good offer". He greeted me warmly, took my keys, and did a Bluetooth obd2 check on the car (reads trouble codes). About 10 minutes later I had an offer slightly higher than other places but not enough to persuade me to sell. He flat out asked what number I wanted. He came close enough to hitting that number that I decided to sell. The process was quick, fairly painless, and I got slightly more than I would elsewhere. I probably could have shopped around for a higher price, but I was ready to be done with it and didn't want to deal with the hassle. I'm only giving 4 stars for 2 reasons. First, the haggling. Not a fan, but I know some people like it. He was pretty low key about it which made things a little easier. Second, he knocked off some because "the brakes felt like they were worn". What he didn't know was that I replaced the rear rotors and brakes a few months before and checked the fronts which had plenty of pad left on them. I let it slide because if they put it on a lift I'm sure they could have dinged it on who knows what else. My parts arrived and my recall was invoiced completed today. Overall my experience today was great. I'm averaging out my 3 star for last review and 5 star for this one for 4 stars overall Brought truck in at 8:30 am today- free shuttle ride to my home 4.5 miles away. I was in and back at my house within 30 minutes. Picked it up at 6:30 pm - The service manager himself picked me up at my house to bring me back to the dealership. My past review mentioned the service manager, but it was a service advisor that I meant mislead me about a temporary fix that wasn't actually done. read more

Worst service ever. They broke my window doing an oil change, blamed me (because I didn't tell them not to roll down the window to do an oil change), and then held the car hostage expecting me to pay to fix it. Never again. read more

Typical bait and switch. Most stealer ships in Maryland follow this principle. They will advertise a vehicle for lower price on the internet and when you are about to make a purchase they will add unnecessary fees ex. $1700 for freight. I dealt with Noah here and he sent me a quote like this. They want to charge me for .... wait a minute freight. Yes. They mark down the Msrp but add fees back. DO NOT WALK IN. Brent D. asked for me to go into detail, so fine, detail it is. On June 6th 2022 my Ford Focus 2018 broke down due to an in warranty issue. I took it in to Ford the following Monday for repairs and they told me it would be three weeks until it was looked at. That's fine! I can be patient, and I have good friends who supported my rental at least for awhile. (see I called Ford proper and they told me that Ford should have given me the option of a loaner vehicle but when I called Apple Ford they told me there were not loaners or reimbursements for manufacturer warranties.). After the three weeks were over, I called to see if there were any updates. Nope, but I'd get a call soon! No call for a week. I called the next week, and got told basically the same thing. On July 18th I was told that the part should be in that day and the car would be repaired Friday! Oh thank God! I could have started crying with relief. I called again Friday, and no one could give me an update at all. No one knew what was happening or even if the repair was in. Now, I worked cell phone repair, and I know that best practice is having a system where one can see what other people have done to the car even if they are not in. This does not exist at Apple Ford. They seem to have no way of communicating this information at all. I'm already getting so frustrated, you can imagine how I lost it when I called Wednesday (07/27/2022) and was told that the part wasn't in and that I'd be looking at getting it repaired as soon as January! I am livid. I call and ask if there is *anything* I can do besides wait for my car to float in limbo for six months. They suggest trading it in. I don't really have any other options. I've run out of funds for another rental, and I need a car to work. So I go and they sell me a car twice the cost of my original vehicle. My car payment has *doubled* because they say it's all they have available and all that my credit will allow me. I have serious doubts about that now, but whatever. What's done is done. I sign the paperwork, I read everything, I think my trials are done. They are not done. I show up to transfer my stuff from my old car to my new car and a repair man comes by and tells me that the part *did* come in last week, and that they must have gotten me confused for another customer! The repair was due to be completed that week! I go to talk to the man at the service desk and he gives me a sob story about COVID and his vacation, as if this couldn't have been avoided with proper communication. Again, I say whatever. This is fine. It's not, but generally I am a patient person who will take blows like this because I understand that not everything goes my way all the time. I was just ready to wash my hands of Apple Ford for good! Of course, this too is not the ending of my story. It is now August 19th 2022 and they still have not finished the pay off for the Ford Focus I traded in! They cost me two thousand of dollars in rental fees, caused me all this grief, and now as one last middle finger they're gonna deal a blow to my credit because they could not pay off my car in a reasonable time. Of course I called them to see what was going on when I first noticed and I had to call ten times to get in contact with Anyone. One receptionist even said "I don't know what's going on back there" because I kept getting directed to voice mail. I eventually went in person and was caught at the door to be told there was no use talking to accounting and to just go ahead and pay the car payment. (This guy told me even He has his calls ignored by other departments. Huge vote of confidence for this place) I hope this is the last thing. If I have to work with them any more I may literally lose my head. When I called yesterday they told me that they had sent the payoff. I'm going to call my lender today and see what they say, but I don't believe a word they say. Overall, while the general incompetency does irritate me, what really ticks me off is the poor communication. Do Not rely on this place for anything, as I said in my original review. read more

Don't buy from here! They mark vehicles as certified but they don't actually follow Ford standards. We have bald tires and they refuse to replace them so they can save a buck even though they made $40+k off of us. The used car manager and service advisor Ben are also extremely disrespectful to customers. read more

Had a 9 AM oil change appt at their McGaw CT lube center and by 10 they still hadn't even taken the vehicle into the shop. If it weren't for the fact that the "Customer For Life" is free I'd gladly pay for quicker service elsewhere. Why even have appointments? read more
