Though each worker was in charge of 2+ customers, the person helping me spaced his attention out well, and I did not feel like I was made to wait more than was reasonable. Bought a new phone. No appointment but it was a seamless and fast transaction. Santiago helped me, along with three other customers simultaneously. Activated my phone, transferred data from my old phone, showed me a few new tips and tricks. Zero issues and no big complaints. I would prefer undivided attention from the technician but when there is a lot of time spent waiting for data to synchronize I can't really complain. Went there to get my phone repaired. The first couple of people that helped us were very nice and attentive. But when we went to pick up there must have been a shift change because the guys with tight pants that were cuffed at the bottom and stinky breath was extremely rude. I would just suggest if you don't want to work with people don't work in customer service and find a remote job. Overall experience was good with the nice ladies. read more

Visited here recently and thought it was a nice mall! Many, many stores and a pretty decent looking food court, although we didn't partake this time. We parked outside in the sun but there's also an underground parking garage if you're so inclined. I ended up getting a little confused when leaving the mall and getting back on the main road, so I do think they could add more signs and/or streamline the exit process a bit. I came in with a Macbook with half of the keys missing (self inflicted) that was initially thought to have required a full keyboard replacement that I was prepared to pay for, but they both worked to simply replace the key caps and inner mechanisms free of charge, and in a timely manner as well! I had a pleasant experience here getting some help from the "genius bar" (where is the bar?) and also exploring the new Macs for sale. The guide at the front told me to sit down in the haphazard seating near the big tv screen and I eventually did. But he said I could go anywhere and they would find me. I saw on his iPad he input the color of my shirt in order for finding me. The mess of stools near the screen is obviously intentional. I guess I kind of like it. It is messy on purpose. I was helped first by a person to get my device details and then by a technician to replace my AirPods. It all went quite nicely. There are waist-high tables for instruction or help, but they were pretty full. I liked trying out the other way. My issue was solved. read more

I went to the store because I lost my iCloud password when I got a new phone. The employee at the front immediately said we don't do that here we can't help you. He offered no options or solutions at all. I went past him and another person was able to somewhat help me but basically ended up shoving me off to an automated system that didn't work. The iPhone 7 I bought is absolutely terrible and I will no longer buy Apple products because of my experience with both the employees and the phone. Samsung here I come. read more

This Apple Store is in an actual shopping mall of the sort that feels like a time capsule of the 90s. The Google map marker was not accurate and I spent too much time wandering around looking for the store. Upon arrival, I did receive a reasonably quick greeting, and having already done my substantive business online, I got out of there relatively quickly. Terrible customer service A cable I bought, to charge my iPhone 16, still under warranty have a short and turned black. Took it to the Crabtree Mall in Raleigh, NC and they told me that is under warranty and they will replace it. They have to be shipped to the store and they will call me in 2 days to pick it up. It has now been 10 days and no call from Apple and when I call they are telling me that will be at the store tomorrow. Terrible customer service and they will loose my business. read more

Spent 5 hours in store buying a new phone and iPad. Staff had difficulty transferring data from old devices to new. Cycled thru 4 staff members b/c it was past their time (whatever that means). Left half an hour after store closed b/c of downloading issues with new iPad. Got home and realized that there was no charger in box for iPad. Have to return to store now. We aren't even from the area. We are traveling and need to remedy this issue with the point of purchase. Try another Apple Store. The data transfer from the old iphone resulted in many apps no longer working, especially Dashlane. Another issue for another time. Find another Apple Store. read more

Usually have such great service here but when coming to try and trade in my dad's old MacBooks who has passed away, I was told there was not much I could do other than call tech. I was grateful for advice but then when asking to recycle a computer really quick, the worker, completely and purposefully ignored me. It was already really hard to go there with my dad's stuff and to be treated like I was invisible. I wasn't rude either the worker genuinely pretended I didn't exist. read more

Not giving a one star because my first visit went great. I had an appointment so I didn't have to wait long, and the employee was able to help me identify the problem. I brought my laptop back a couple of days later for repair, and my second visit was unsatisfactory. They didn't seem busier (less crowded than my first visit for sure) but the employees at the front took a long time to "check me in." When I told one of the employees I was bringing a laptop for repair, she told me to follow the employees she had just directed to the table "over there." I did that and waited by the table, which was also the same table I went to during my first trip. Other customers came and went but I was not being helped for almost an hour. I was really frustrated since I was told dropping off my laptop will be quick, and I don't know about you one full hour is not quick in my books. Literally none of the employees checked on me during my almost an hour wait, including the employees who were helping three or more customers while I waited at the same table OR the employee who told me to go to this table as she walked by me several times. I had to stop one of the employees coming out of the back door for his shift (because nobody makes eye contact with you?!) and explained I had been waiting a long time and I'm afraid that I'm not getting help because I haven't been checked in and my name isn't on the list. He was the one who told me that I was waiting by the wrong table. The actual drop off probably took 5-10 minutes (like I was told it'd be) but I had to wait over an hour due to incorrect instruction and the employees being oblivious to customers waiting an hour when they shouldn't be. Unprofessional and unsatisfactory. No apology was given from any of the employees. Incredibly frustrating. read more

Hands down the worst customer experience of any Apple Store I have been to or was a part of while working in Apple Retail in Cupertino. Most recent experience: My repair journey at the Crabtree Valley Mall store began on April 7th when I took my computer in to repair the display. The team repaired the display and I picked up my computer on April 13th. Upon making it home I noticed that my Bluetooth connection continued to drop on all applications (video calls, Apple Music, Magic Mouse being jittery, etc...). Upon working w/ the store after noticing this issue they refused to believe that it was possibly related to the repair; coincidences happen yes but to me this seemed like quite a large one. For the next two+ months I have put through the ringer from the store including, but not limited to, the following timeline: -We ran a diagnostic and nothing is wrong, must be every one of your peripherals that is the problem (the same ones that work on all other apple products that I own?) so we can't do anything until you bring those in -We ran a diagnosis and nothing is wrong even though the peripherals you brought in are janky. Let's just completely wipe your computer and start over -Even though you still have any issue w/ Bluetooth after the wipe and restore everything looks great to us, please come pick up your computer as we are not going to do anything else -We still don't believe anything is wrong but sure we will redo the display replacement After doing the display replacement we noticed that you are having a Bluetooth problem, were you aware of this? We have to order a new board and replace -The board we got in is defective and have to order another, will take a week to come in -I finally pushed back when they called me yesterday w/ the above asking to simply get another computer as I can't continue to work on my decade old Air while they have my Pro for much longer. -Was supposed to get a call back yesterday, never did. -Called today for an update since I never heard from them yesterday if they were willing to simply replace the computer but the phone rang and rang three times through until it disconnected me. -Attempt number six someone picked up. Store leadership refused to get on the phone w/ me. Was told they would call me back today, they never called Drive to Southpoint regardless of where you live in the triangle, they won't waste your time. read more

UPDATE: I went to the Apple store here at Crabtree Valley Mall to get a new iPad as my prior one would not be able to upgrade to the new version of iOS when it comes out soon. The associate/Apple Genius that helped me with his purchase was wonderful. She helped me quickly size up what I was looking for in function vs. price point, what was available in inventory and accessories (got to have a cover/keyboard!) as well as protection plans and once all that was settled got my purchase taken care of quickly and efficiently. This Apple experience has been by far one of the best I've encountered. If they had my first choice in stock, I'd say it would have closer to a 5 star visit. Great customer service interaction, so I had to come here and update from past experiences. read more

I went in to buy a new iPhone. I just needed some guidance. I asked for a sales person. Ryan came up and helped me decide. As I was finalizing the purchase, I noticed that if I had an Apple Card, I could get 3% off. I did the online application thing, and I was having some connection difficulties. As I was sorting them out -without any help from Ryan, another customer interrupted, and totally co-opted my sales person. Ryan never returned to me. I waited and waited and waited, as Ryan finalized the *other* customer's sale before turning to me. He then told me I would be *another* few seconds. Totally unacceptable. 3 minutes later (I timed it) I asked for another sales person. Ryan ought to have done that 10 minutes previously. My sale was finalized in about 2 minutes. I have never had such an abysmal experience at an Apple Store. I have gone to Crabtree for a few repairs through AppleCare and I've never had a problem, but, this time when I went to get my watch repaired, it's been nothing but problem after problem. I dropped my Apple Watch off on October 1, 2024. On October 5, I called and asked for an update because I had not received any information since dropping it off. I was told that they had to send it a special way, and that it was for the safety of those who were moving the product, which was understandable. I thanked them for letting me know, and asked when it would be sent out. They said it would be sent out Monday, October 7. On October 6, I get a phone call from the Apple Store saying that they need me back in the store to take pictures of the watch on my wrist. I was out of town for work and was unable to come back in to take pictures of the watch on my wrist. I'm speaking with the manager and am informed that they actually got the request for the pictures on October 2, they had just forgotten to reach out to me. They've been informed me that my watch also would not be shipping to the repair center on October 7, but it would likely be later than that and they are not sure why I was told that it would be October 7. It was finally shipped out on October 8 I believe, and was at the repair center until Friday October 10. Then it was sent back to the Apple Store at Crabtree, and was supposed to be ready for pick up on Monday. The entire time I never received any text messages regarding my repair. Any emails regarding my repair or any calls regarding my repair. For every communication that we had, I had to be the one who reached out. I asked them to send me updates so I did not have to keep calling back in, they continued to be negligent in doing so. I spent over four hours on the phone with them total. On Tuesday, October 15, I called and asked for an update because I had still not heard anything and it had been two weeks exactly. I was informed that my watch had been returned on Monday, October 14, and would be ready to pick up later in the day. I informed them of my concern of receiving the exact same watch that had caused burns on my skin back with no repair, and I was informed by the manager that they could either do a complete refund and allow me to buy a newer Apple Watch, or they can escalate the repair. I told him I definitely was interested in doing the refund since I had already been without my product for two weeks, and to let me know how it would all work, and he told me that he would call me back that day. After receiving no call back by 5 that night, I called the Apple Store to see what was going on. I was told the manager left and would not be in contact with me, however, a different manager spoke with me and said he would honor the refund and to come in at 6:30 PM. I went in and when I got there, spoke with the same manager that I had spoken to at 5 PM, the second manager, and everything was different. He told me that that offer was no longer on the table and I could either take the watch as is, or they could give me $135 for my watch towards a new one. I then asked him what had happened to the deal, or if we could even escalate the repair again, and he told me no and refused to work with me. I did not sign off on receiving the repair back from the Apple Store, however, he walked away from me, and left the watch on the counter, with no signature from me and no acceptance for me after I told him I refused to accept the repair as is. He then pushed something through on his iPad saying that I did accept the repair, even though I did not. I reached out to corporate, and thankfully, they were more than willing to help me. I will no longer be returning to the Crabtree location for help. I am beyond upset and frustrated with my experience, and the lack of care and support. Two weeks with no communication from them, and no product to use, and it still was not repaired ultimately. read more

So I purchased a Mac Book Pro in 2015 that still works perfectly well. I was playing with the "find my device" app and accidently deleted it after mistakenly locking the laptop...trying figure out how it worked...Because I don't have a receipt from 2015 to show proof of purchase, they won't help me. This has made me rethink keeping Apple products. I have a Iphone, computer, and watch. I spend to much money with Apple for them not to help me because I don't have proof of purchase from 9 years ago. I have moved twice since purchasing this laptop. The fact that there are no other options outside of the support people has left a negative feeling towards apple. I was getting ready to get the Iphone 16 but changed my mind due to this. I came in on a weekday with a specific purpose: trade in. I already knew what I wanted and wasn't looking to play with the gadgets or make a decision. I saw an Apple rep, told her what I needed and she set me up with the right person. He was working with an older couple who definitely needed a lot more attention, but he was able to assist me simultaneously. I spent probably no more than 15 minutes in the store. The store is spacious, well at least it seems that way on a weekday when the crowds are away. I have no complaints. I went in to buy an iPad Mini. I knew exactly what I wanted. I waited for 15mins after asking someone to help me, then I get a guy and I tell him I would like to buy an iPad Mini. He then asks if I had an appointment and I said "No I know what I want I just need someone to grab it and I can pay." He tells me they don't do that and they are booked for the day but I could buy online and come back in 2hrs to grab it. This is buy far the worse customer experience I've ever had. It would have taken 5mins to get it and let me pay. So I went to SouthPoint Apple Store where they know how to treat customers. I came in to buy a new AirPod pro's case because I had lost my case. At check in, I was told it was only going to be a 10-15 minute wait. I ended up waiting an hour before getting helped only to be told that they don't have any more cases in stock at the store and I should just order it online, and it'll ship to me in 2 days. The most frustrating part was multiple clerks came over to me during the hour long wait, gave me a look and then grabbed someone else that came in after me. The whole experience was a complete waste of time. The only reason I came in the store instead of ordering online was to avoid the 2 day shipping time, but after waiting an hour, they basically told me to go home and order online. read more

I have been waiting for an hour and a half now because they would not make me an appointment over the web, and the ability to make web based appointments was removed from Apple's website. They sent me to a Best Buy...who said they only fixed hardware. Go to the Apple Store. I get here, explain the runaround, and they make me wait, back of the line. No accountability for the runaround. They're fast to take your money, but slow and apathetic on supporting the technology. read more

Customer service is terrible. You need an appointment to answer the most simplest of questions and so they will make you wait for hours only to inform you there is nothing they can do to help you. They also grabbed people who came in after me to help them first. I literally lied down and took a 10 minute nap after I checked in on one of their benches before someone gave me any attention. The Genius Bar is filled with people who are anything but genius. There are no price tags on any of the products and it's terribly infuriating because you have to ask an employee about the price of every little thing you want to see. I understand this is part of there sales strategy but it is a fail because most employees are too busy to talk and I'm just trying to be in and out not spend half my day in the stupid store looking at your overpriced hipster products. The current iPhone I have will be my last. I'm going back to Samsung. read more

Awesome experience the other day. The Manager Weaver and the Geek Tech - Chill provided me with an awesome customer experience. Weaver hooked me up with the best Tech I could ever requested. Chill was very courteous patient low key - explained a lot regarding the gizmos of my phone.He quickly assessed my level of knowledge regarding my phone and moved on to the next level.He was very manner-able and respectful- he took his time but wasn't redundant. I left a happy camper - with way more knowledge about my phone than ever. Chill also provided me with the direct phone to the store - even put the number in my phone without being asked. The decor is quite pleasing to the eye with products tastefully placed for viewing. The store itself is quite an experience. I also noticed even though there were several people in the store- the noise level- surprisingly was low. The store is located in the Raleigh NC Crabtree Valley Mall.The mall is conveniently situated close to several Interstates and highways accommodations hospitals other malls store's restaurants & businesses.My husband & I asked several people the location of the store as pertaining to the mall.There is an elevator in the Belk's store - go to the second floor-for accessible information if parking on the backside of the mall near the parking decks off the Creedmoor Road - we figured out the best way - if accessible is not needed- would be parking at the front of the mall off Glenwood Avenue/ 70 W - going in the entrance by the Cheesecake Factory and making a left - away from the belk leggett store - the Apple Store is located on the back side of the mall - about 8-10 stores down after making the left turn.Having not been in this mall for awhile - Surprisingly I noticed no benches or places to sit except one bench at the end of the mall near the second floor of Belk's also no accessible items noted at the Belk's entrance close to the parking decks. read more

After searching all around the east coast, this happened to be closest place that had the M1 MacBook Pro available. I decided to quickly purchase it before it was sold out, since I did want a custom spec machine to fit my needs. Apple has revolutionized the processors with their M1 chip, for this price it is a game changer! However this review is not about the device but the experience at the Apple store. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes! I did have an appointment and prepaid for the product. In comparison to the Greensboro store when I purchased my iMac in mid 2018, I remember waiting for an unreasonable amount of time. Yes I would rather drive to Raleigh and enjoy this Apple store, it is worth the drive. Please note the store is barricades off due to the health measures and I do not think you can test or try any product out. I did not ask but I have not seen anyone doing so. Which does not matter to me, but for many people it may matter. Apple should formulate a creative way for those folks to try out their magical machines. read more

They efficiently checked me in, got to the root of the problem, and then solved my issue all while being friendly and polite. I visited shortly before Christmas and expected nightmare lines/crowding, but I'm happy to say I didn't experience either. It seems they are able to manage the demand well with proper staff and appointment scheduling. Technology issues suck, and I'm sure this is a large part of the reason people are so angry in the reviews section. But this store seems to be doing everything right (as of Dec 2022)! read more

I'll start this off with the back story. I bought the I phone 15 max and added apple care when I bought it. This was about a year and a half ago. About a month ago my screen got cracked. I didn't bother going to get it fixed as it wasn't to bad. I did finally call Apple and told them I was thinking about getting my screen fixed. They told me that it wasn't covered under my apple care and that it would be around 350$. I decided to go to a third party repair station since it was cheaper. The new screen worked for about a month and then I got a vertical line going through it. I then physically took the phone to Apple to see what could be done. They said no problem. You got Apple care so it will not cost you anything. Come back in about an hour. I came back to get the phone and Alton informed me that since it was a third party screen they would not be able to fix it. And then the icing on top came when they also told me that the screen is now not working at all. So I took a working phone into the Apple store armed with Apple Care and walked out with a phone that does nothing. I got the manager Ken and talked to him as well. The only thing they decided they could do was offer 100$ off the price of a new screen. The issue I have is that I was told by Apple previously that the screen replacement would cost me full price. Now they are telling me it's free. But they can't do it because I have a third party screen on there. Seems kind of like they got me by the balls. My options now are getting another third party screen that might last for a month or so or pay Apple the entire price of the new screen. Shit, why have Apple Care? I looked online for an email to send to Apple to air my grievances and of course there is none. So here I am hoping that Apple may see this and reach out to me to rectify this situation. So Apple. If you are out there and even read these reviews do the right thing and fix my screen. read more

Crowds of people around the iPhones and iPads and MacBooks, plus helpful bands of blue-shirted "Geniuses" willing to offer assistance, direction and perhaps even sell a device or two.
