I use the laundry services of Apple Cleaners, and they are wonderful. I've also used their dry cleaning and alterations services on occasion. My only beef is that over time, the whites in my laundry have gone dingy, suggesting they have some laundry people on staff who aren't separating the lights from darks. They are also not using whites brighteners, like OxyClean, which i now give them myself with instructions. While this has been frustrating, I could never dock Apple a star as they are truly the kindest people around. Also, they send their laundry out to a service, so I suggested to them that they maybe find a more pro partner. But it's no biggie. I'll just keep giving them my own OxyClean pods until things change. Grateful that they are in the neighborhood! read more

I went to this cleaners in a time crunch. I told them I needed my dress dry cleaned. I was a bridesmaid. I said I know it's quick but can you have it done by Thursday? The woman said yes and took the dress and took my cell number also. I didn't receive any calls that anything was wrong. I went to pick it up on Thursday and they said it would be done by 1 o'clock, but I came at 5 o'clock just in case and they said they didn't dry clean my dress. I was concerned and asked why because it had stains and I was wearing it the next day and she said that there wasn't enough time. I can't believe this if she would've told me that and had been honest in the beginning, I would've taken it to another cleaners a few doors down and tried or I even would've hand washed it myself, but I was leaving the next day and now I'm stuck with a bridesmaids dress with stains on it and nothing to do when I was explicitly promised that it would be done in the middle of the day on Thursday. They even had my number and could've called, saying that they changed their mind and I would've picked it up and thought of a Plan B. But they just kept it around and did absolutely nothing. Was not even apologetic. Thanks for ruining my best friends wedding. Really really shitty business move!!!!! read more

There a quite a few cleaners in this area so I've tried out a handful of them. Apple Cleaners worked out very well for me and I had no problems. The people who work there are very nice and everything about my experience was pleasant. I think they are slightly more expensive than some competitors but it's not enough to really make a difference. Why don't I use them more often? They are a half block in the wrong direction of my commute. Otherwise I would be there. read more

I went to Apple Cleaners based on a friends suggestion and reviews on it from other sites. Everybody seemed pretty happy with the place so I figured I would give it a shot. The place is about the size of any other Hoboken dry cleaner, so space is a limited quantity. The staff was extremely friendly and answered my questions that I had. My job at the airport can sometimes mean getting dirt on your pants when working out on the field. However I inspected the pants after picking them up and found them to be clean, very well pressed, and free of any dirt marks. I had two pairs dry cleaned and the total came out to $9.90 with tax, which is a lot cheaper than the fifteen that I was paying at the last place. They put your day and pickup time right on the register's receipt so you have a reminder as to when they will be ready. That's never a problem for me though because I always forget to pick it up on time. Overall I gave Apple Cleaners four stars because of the friendly and helpful staff, printed receipts with date and time to pick it up, and the good cleaning job. I'm sure people would normally make this a five star, but I only like to give that when a place blows me away. I am very happy with this place and plan on making it my usual spot for dry cleaning. read more

I've been using this dry cleaners for almost 7 years and I love them. Today was the first day ever I didn't think they did a great job getting a stain out of one of my blouses. I pointed that out while at the cleaners, and the man owner offered to re clean it for me at no charge. It's not just about the fact that he did that, since most places would do that, but he was so pleasant and didn't make me feel like it was 'my fault' for pointing it out. I switched to Apple when Skyway cleaners ruined some clothing. They are great. Pick up and deliver very regularly from my apartment. They notice when clothing needs repair and call me to make sure they can repair it. They can also send Uggs away for cleaning and mine came back brand new. read more

One of those places you can't wait to leave a review for. I was stuck in a hard spot--my basement flooded on my birthday, I had to reschedule a flight, and I had to get my entire store of winter clothes to a dry cleaner asap. My building manager recommended Apple because she had a similar experience and Apple was extremely accommodating. They let her air dry her wet clothes before charging her for wash and fold, so I ran right over. Same deal for me, plus I had a ton of leather stuff they let dry out and had assessed by their leather specialist. They sent me regular updates while I was away and gave me time to see and assess items in person before incurring costs. When all was said and done, the owner, David, even drove me back to my apartment with my 3 bags and 10 hangers because I didn't have a car. I will 100% be back and possibly will kiss coin laundry goodbye thanks to Apple and their exceptional customer service. read more
