Was having issues with my camera, took it in around 2:00.(They said it would be a 2 hour wait) They had to replace the camera, when I got there at 6;00 to pick it up they said they couldnt fix it. (Waisted 4 hours) Not to mention, while they were doing the repair they cracked my screen. I told the rep "Did yall crack the screen during the repair"? Her response was "sometimes that happens." I came into the store to do a simple color exchange on an iPad I received as a Xmas gift which had been purchased through the online Apple Store. I was quickly added to the waitlist and played around on the devices for only 5 minutes before someone came to help me. The exchange turned into an ordeal because of some previous issues with the online order, but the woman helping us and her manager were very helpful, patient, and friendly when trying to process our exchange. In the end, they were able to make the exchange for us even though online Apple customer service had been very unhelpful. Five stars for the customer service we received in the Apple Store at the Augusta Mall. read more

It's the Apple Store. How can you be disappointed? Been a fan girl for a minute. Went in to buy my MacBook pro since the old one is holding my very large music and movie library. I preordered online but I wanted to be sure I wasn't buying too much MacBook. I went in and had conversation with one of the geniuses as if I hadn't made a purchase already. I told him what my needs were (pictures, need to run Windows on it for school, some lite gaming and possibly adding some of that large library later) and let him guide me. Turns out I know what I'm doing (of course I do) and I bought the right machine. He guided me away from the Airs. He didn't try and force Retina down my throat but did let my know that my gaming and pics would be dynamic on those machines. He also didn't try and steer me away from the 500gb ATA drive either. I let him know I preordered already and as there to pick it up but that I really appreciated his help. I'll be back in September for that new iPhone I'm sure. read more

I am always greeted by everyone that is not with a customer. They are very friendly and knowledgeable, and even provide their own advice on their products. The store is immaculate and well kept, all of the products are shelved logically, and they have areas for new product synchronization and acclimation, as well as for their training and a kids area as well. I could easily spend $200 each time I go in this store. Probably more once I really start getting my own place sorted out. read more

Awful experience. After just 4 months my wife's Apple Watch stopped working. Went to the Apple Store to have it looked at. They said they wouldn't look at it without an appointment but to come back tomorrow. Came back the next day and waited over a half hour. During this time one employee was talking college football the whole time while we were unattended to. Finally a CSR told us to come back in about 3 hours. Worst customer service experience ever. Had a cracked screen on my wife's iPad. One, it is impossible to get them on the phone. No local number I could find. Second, I didn't know you had to make a service appointment. I live 35 miles away. Was refused service when I went there the first time and told to make an appointment online. Did that and returned for my appointment. They don't replace iPad screens and the entire appointment was them trying to sell me a new iPad. Burned up a lot of gas and parking is horrible where the store is located. I will never go back there for anything, there are independent places in Augusta that work on Apple products. read more

As a former apple employee I am aware of how the store works and how apple employees should conduct themselves. Although the majority of employees I have dealt with at this store are exceptional, my most recent encounter with an employee was beyond bad. I came in on 2/11/15 to get my phone repaired and when I came back to pick it up around closing time I sat down with my computer at the empty personal set up table while I waited for them to bring out my phone. While I sat at the table a blond haired employee (had a mustache I think?) repeatedly and rudely tried to tell me I was in the wrong spot and that I needed to move to the adjacent table. I informed him that I had already checked in, had spoken to several employees, and was merely waiting 5min for my phone to come out while I worked on an important email. He continued to make comments every time he walked by and acted very childish about the whole situation, and kept insisting that I needed to move immediately. Apparently my presence in the store was very inconvenient for him and he clearly showed that he neither cares for his job or treating apple customers professionally. Not sure why apple hired or is keeping this employee. The store is closing, there are two customers left, it doesn't matter if I sit at this table, that table, or at the bar. Instead of being combative and creating an issue where there was none the employee should have gone to the back to check on the status of my device and told me that I was welcome to sit at that table until my device came out. I guess one bad apple really can spoil the bunch. Genius Bar guy was great though (Kudos to Justin Davis no doubt). Update* The store lead called me and was very genuine in hearing my story and asking about how they could improve. I greatly appreciate that. read more

Worse service. 80 miles away from home but nearest store. Made an appointment but showed up 30 minutes early so they told me I had to wait 30 minutes. As I waited I noticed people without appointments were getting in line before me. Talked to supervisor who allowed me to get in line 15 minutes later. She wouldn't let me in line without his ok. Appointment was for a new battery and after check was done that showed I needed new battery she said that I needed to setup new appointment. Why would try set up appoint in the first place if they weren't going to have a battery. Also tried to call store to make sure they had battery but could not get through to store. I was told by snarky employee, basically we don't care. Talked to manager again, he cared about the disrespectful sales person but obviously couldn't help me. Was wondering about other bad reviews now I know. Also if you live far away never buy anything from the store, has to be returned at store. read more

Worst customer service. Been having problems with my iPhone 6 not holding a charge. Went in, waited around for an hour; was told the issue had been addressed. It wasn't; took a deep breath, went back again, waited over an hour for the Genius Bar appointment to be told that maybe changing the battery might solve the issue and all I had to do was wait another 1 to 3 hours for battery changing to take place. It appears they certainly have enough people eager to sell products; perhaps the manager needs to consider hiring more folks capable of actually FIXING products without having customers waiting around until they grow cobwebs doing so. read more

I went into this store after having an experience in the Charlotte Apple store. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and had a rep with me in about 10 minutes. They did everything right then and there, even had a runner to bring the phones out to the sales team so they didn't leave the customer's side. Great teamwork! I was a walk in and needed my iPhone 7plus screen replaced... on a Sunday nonetheless... store was pretty busy but I was still taken care quickly.. appointment made for me to be seen at the Genius Bar at 1:46 and by 2:15 I was seen and dropped off the phone and by 3:15 i picked up my phone! I have always had fairly speedy service there. One thing that has me angry is that when my husband spent a small fortune for my new iPad - I was told that they will replace a cracked screen if we bought the coverage. So we did. What they didn't inform me of was that I have to give them my iPad with all my personal info on it and they send it to the factory where it would be downloaded to a new iPad and mailed back to this store for my pickup. Six weeks. Why can't they do it there? And the young staff needs to be patient with a 60-something woman when she is asking questions. I think they can be rushed. read more

This store is always the worst Apple Store I've ever had to deal with. The reps are uninterested in anything but hanging out. The store is always understaffed so it takes an hour to get anything done and the management team is even worse, consistently rude and unhelpful. It's amazing how larger, busier locations like Orlando and D.C. can get it right but this store can't. I wish the company would fire everyone here and start over. I am always amazed at the customer service experience in the Apple Store. From the time you walk in, their goal is to assist you as quickly as possible. If you're stopping in for help with an iDevice, _always_ make sure you have a Genius bar appointment since that will guarantee your spot and Apple's attention. I do appreciate that Apple is so focused on customer service. Often when I've taken in a device for assistance, the remedy they offer is a replacement. The other obvious aspect of the Apple Store is their product selection. Who doesn't like spending time ogling all of the iDevices, peripherals and other eye candy?! ;-) On my most recent visit they even had a $1500 drone for sale. Depending on when you visit, parking can be a hassle. If you're patient, though, you can usually score a spot close to the actual store. read more

I came back here a few months ago to purchase the latest iPhone and sell back my old phone. I didn't know you could do this until I talked to the Genius guy from my last visit. I got almost $100 for my old phone. So people when you want to upgrade try to sell your old phone before you purchase to see what you can get for it. The saleswoman I dealt with name was Gigi, I think. She was a doll with helping and getting me on my way!!! I was done with the buying process within 30 minutes but the setup time is another story. You know it takes a while to regain your old setting from a backup. This took some time but the setup employee, Denise said I was very patient for waiting as long as I did. She was great as well. She answered many of my questions that I had about Apple products in general. She knew EVERYTHING!!!! I was flabbergasted, anything I asked she had an answer for. Apple does great training of their employees. I might look into getting a job with them!!! I did try on an Apple watch while I waited for my phone to do its thing. Those things are neat. It can do everything your phone can do, which is amazing!!! I never have any problems with the service from Apple when I come in and that's a pleasure!!! Keep up the good work you guys!!! read more

Maybe my feelings would be different if I was not driving from Columbia, SC, or if my Apple Product is something much bigger than an IPod. As of right now, Columbia does not have an Apple Store, so if you have any issues with Apple products, this is the closest store near Columbia. For me personally, the drive is not too terribly bad since I live on the SW side of Columbia, making this an hour trip along 20, but for something really minor (unless you have other things to do in Augusta), it's a longer than necessary trip. Anyways, been having trouble with my IPod, which I have had since 2009 (could be getting old) or the fact that in the past year and a half, I have been using three different computers. The laptop I originally installed ITunes on has been destroyed, along with my whole music library. Once I finally got my new (non-Apple) laptop several months ago, knowing now what I need to do with my ITunes account. I figured it would be smooth sailing to get my IPod back up and running. No so easy. The 10 songs I had stored on my IPOd from the second computer I was using got wiped out (was sort of expecting that after I lost everything between computers 1 and 2). Only downloaded 1 song onto ITunes until I knew things were working correctly on my new computer. Keep trying to sync, and nothing happens, so essentially my IPod has no songs whatsoever. So I decide to make a trip to Augusta. Now if you have not been to an Apple Store and need technical assistance, you more or less need an appointment. You can schedule ahead of time or just go to the store, but you would not be waited on right away (if you do not schedule an appointment ahead of time), as it was the case with my visit. (On a side note, they only schedule you for a certain amount of time. From a prior visit, we had to go for a bigger issue than an IPod, was nearing the end of our alloted time and the employee helping us said he had another appointment lined up and could no longer help us and we were then at the mercy of waiting for another employee to help us). For those familiar with the layout of the mall, there is parking in front of the store. Since my visit was going to be on the weekend (and holiday shopping has started), I was not sure what the parking situation would be and has parked near the food court by the inner portion of the mall. Make it to the Apple store and was told the next available appointment would be in 40 minutes. Went and got me a snack before heading back to store. Got helped, but without laptop physically on me at the moment (was in trunk of my car - about a 5 minute walk to car and then back to store), employee said other appointments were available, but not for another hour. Really did not feel like waiting for another hour, not knowing how long process was going to take, and a fix might not even be an options, and then having another hour drive back home. It seems like they had more employees just standing around waiting to greet people. Maybe they need to reverse things and get more technical support people. Maybe Columbia will finally get an Apple Store soon ........................... read more

Keep your receipt. You can exchange earbuds no problem as long as it's under a year! Super easy and what they told me was a 10 minute wait turned into like 1 min. I'm not sure if it works with other things like the plug thing I bought but getting new earbuds is way awesome especially since they're $30! Few things about anyone in this store were helpful. We had to have multiple people in this store help us due to the fact that the original assistant disappeared for 30 minutes. Each time we would then have to explain to someone else what was going on with the broken iPad. One individual told us one thing and the next would come back with absolutely no idea what the other was talking about. At one point the person that was supposed to be helping us stopped to flirt with a fellow employee right in front of us while we were waiting. We left the store after the employee told us there was nothing he could do for us and recommended that we take it to a third party and hopefully they could help us. My experience with this store was by far the worst. I called customer care due to my speaker being busted on my iPhone 7 plus(apparently this happens often with the model phone i have). The rep told me that she would put in for me to get a replacement at no cost and scheduled me an appointment at this store. When i got There they basically told me that i would have to pay for an replacement and couldn't honor the code that was put in. The rep called the Apple store and they basically told her that i shouldn't have an exception since everyone else has been paying the warranty cost for an known issue that has been ongoing. They then told the rep that she can check another store to see if the would honor it and the store told her that they would have did it but because the store had already put on my case that they could not do it, other stores wouldn't either. I feel like Apple Is Apple and every one should be on the same page. A complete waste of time, gas, and energy. read more
