Pretty interior space with limited seating...perfect for studying, working

The first time I tried Appalachia Cookie was over 16 years ago when they first started out. They made a lasting impression with how good their cookies are so of course I had to check them out while I was in town. Glad to see that they've done well and have a much nicer location than before. I really appreciated that cookies were freshly baked to order. All the cookies i ordered were delicious. Highly recommend if you need to indulge your sweet tooth when in town.

Definitely come to App Cookie Co when you're in Boone! In order of my favorites: lotus biscoff, cheesecake, s'mores, chocolate chip, macadamia, cookies & cream. These were fresh, so soft, flavors absolutely present, just delicious. Make sure to get some milk! They also had a lot of seasonal drink options, which we wish we could have tried. Service was friendly, they bake the cookies to order so definitely be prepared for at least a 20 minute wait. Ambiance is cute with both indoor & outdoor seating. There's an adjacent parking lot. 10/10 would recommend!

Great local cookie place! They are baked to order, and they are worth the wait! I've gone inside to lounge and the ambiance is nice. The seating is a little uncomfortable though. There have been a few times they were out of stock of certain drinks, but overall a tasty experience!

We have been coming here since our first born went to college. They have moved to a new bigger and updated location. They now offer canned & bottled drinks as well as freshly made hot & cold specialty coffees. The main attraction is their soft delicious cookies. If you're getting a dozen then be prepared to wait 20 minutes.....it is so worth it! The cookies are made fresh in house and they come in various flavors. Our favorites are the Cheesecake & Snickerdoodle. The new place is cozy and warm with indoor and outdoor seating. It is very inviting and relaxing. Since school is not I. Session it was not terribly busy. Staff is super friendly and attentive.

Omg! These made to order cookies are a slam dunk! So much to choose from, so just get a 1/2 dozen or so to explore the variety. The staff was so sweet to describe the flavors and helping to make the final selections. The shop was super clean and inviting. Definitely provides great vibes for a meet up, school work or work away from home situation. Definitely would return!

This spot has a really thoughtful use of space with comfortable seating, kid-friendly restrooms, and even a cute little playhouse outside for the kids to enjoy. It's a great place to hang out, and the friendly customer service adds to the experience. They offer a good selection of cookies, and everything is made to order, so the cookies are always fresh and warm. That said, be prepared to wait about 10-15 minutes for your order. The quality definitely beats Insomnia Cookies any day! Highly recommend trying the s'mores cookie and the chocolate chip cookie brownie--both were tasty. Unfortunately, the cookies were undercooked and way too doughy, to the point where they literally fell apart in my hands. It made them a bit tricky to enjoy. On top of that, the pricing was disappointing. A lot of the cookies fall under the "premium selection," which comes with a $1.50 upcharge. I ended up paying $16 for just three cookies! To make matters worse, the lady at the front even charged us for a tiny cup of milk for a toddler. Not okay! Lol. If you're willing to splurge and don't mind the doughy texture, it's worth checking out for the cozy atmosphere and unique selection, but be aware of the premium pricing and consistency issues.

I dream about these cookies!! I went to college in Boone and I have to make it a point to stop by every time I am back in town. It went from more of a hole in a wall store that was more of a delivery service to a super cute store on king street. They bake the cookies fresh when you order them and the continue to add creative cookie flavors.

Soft cookie finished it before I could take a picture

Got the chocolate chip cookies it was good a little too sweet..- if you're getting their premium or secret cookies it's a 15-20 min wait. Cute shop has it own parking which is nice .

Oh yes please! Walked in here on a whim. The smell causes small convulsions of joy. Ordered a chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin and snickerdoodle. All amazingly wonderful, delicious and they promised the calorie count was nothing to be concerned about. :) They make them fresh so call ahead. It takes 15-20 to make yours. I happily waited in the smell of that place. Waiting area is very small. Just sit and enjoy. The check in gives you a free cookie too!!

Chocolate chip, honey peanut butter, red wine dark chocolate, Andes mint, and more!!!

Absolutely delicious cookies and the people who work there are so nice. I have experience ordering in person, online for local delivery and online for shipping. They were very helpful getting an order delivered to my App student. Highly recommend.

“The cheesecake cookie may be one of my favorite things ever, chewy and spiced perfectly, their ferrero rocher one has deep chocolate flavor.”

Yelp needs to add another 5 star option, for those businesses that are outstanding in every single…read moreway. Flavia's would definitely rate 10 stars. This pastry business is located in a tiny cottage, think She Shed, on a small side street in downtown Blowing Rock. Everything was nicely labeled and priced but there were names I hadn't heard before. Julie was very informative and kindly answered all of our, "Ooooh, what's that?" questions. We were torn between a couple of items, so like any sensible person, we bought both. She told us to eat them at room temperature for best enjoyment. She said the "Crème" is homemade puff pastry with a thick layer of Mousseline Cream. That means they take their crème patisserie and then add silky butter. Is your mouth watering yet? We each got a Crème and a Cream Puff. We ate the Crème first and sweet mother of all things delicious, it was otherworldly. We immediately prayed that the Puff would have the same filling. It did. When we go back next year, I'll be getting a treat for everyday we are there. TIP #1: Beware Donna. She was in the next store Serves You Right. She offered to take our pink pastry box. Everyone in BR is so nice, we thought she was being helpful so we could shop. Then we saw the humorous glint in her eyes! Pastry Thief! LOL! Donna and Karen told us that Julie is the daughter and her mother is from Germany. The mom makes everything in Hickory and they drive it up fresh every day. They raved about everything! TIP #2: They are closed every Wednesday, so plan ahead.

We were so excited for the key lime cheesecake, however we're incredibly disappointed. The meringue…read moretasted pretty good, however it did break and was drippy, but the real issue was the cheesecake. It was just a regular block of plain cheesecake. In the very center was a small hint of key lime flavor, but this was definitely not a "key lime cheesecake". We ended up throwing most of it away, which was a bummer for $14. Everything looked really good, but maybe something else would have been a better pick.
